Chapter 31
01:54, 25 March 2013Ross's POV
She's gone.
"Come on Rossy, let's go back to the others." Rebecca gently tugged on my arm.
"No." I said plainly, still staring in the direction that Emily ran off in.
"What?" She asked me.
"No. I said no. Get out of here. I don't want to see you. Not here not ever." I said and stood there, waiting for her to leave.
"But Ross-" She started.
"Get out of here!" I exclaimed and she finally walked away.
I just stood there, completely stunned. How could I let Emily leave my life this easily?
She said she loved me. Emily loves me, or loved me for that matter. I am such an idiot.
"Ross! There you are. What happened? We heard screaming." Rydel jogged over to me.
"She's gone." I said, holding back tears.
"What?" Rydel asked, confused.
"Emily. She's gone." I said, now turning to her, tears welling up in my eyes.
"Oh, Ross." She replied and hugged me close to her.
I told her everything that happened between us. From when Emily saw Rebecca and I, to when the fight started, to when Emily said she loved me.
"I'm so sorry Ross." Rydel whispered and hugged me again. I held it together but I still wanted to cry my eyes out.
"We're here for you bro." Riker came in now, followed by everyone else. We all had a group hug and stood there for the longest time in silence.
Finally, we all pulled apart and Rydel turned on me.
"How could you do that, though?! Who is this Rebecca chick?! I thought you really liked Emily, Ross!" She scolded me.
"I know, I'm an idiot." I sighed, feeling stupid now.
"Do you know if she's going to Boston?" Rocky asked me, seeming worried.
"I think she is." I said, and then had a horrified expression on my face. Emily is going to Boston. I won't see her for another six months. What have I done?!
Emily's POV
That night, I got everything packed for Boston. Surprisingly, I was ready in less than half an hour.
Alex told me that I would be traveling with Melissa, the wardrobe girl from the tv show. She apparently also doubled as a second manager which was shocking, but good for me.
"I'll meet you at the airport!" She told me over the phone.
"Ok, I'm on my way." I replied and hung up the phone.
I already called my set crew to thank them for all their hard work on the R5 tour and said I would miss them, even Trevor.
I got all of my things together and headed for the airport.
"You ready?!" Melissa said to me as we boarded the plane.
"I guess." I tried to smile but it wasn't working. I couldn't get Ross out of my mind. He texted me 52 times in total and called me five times. I refused to talk to him after the way he treated me, even though I was dying to hear his voice.
"Look, I know you miss Ross, but think about it. This will be for the better, trust me." She smiled at me.
"Thanks Melissa." I said and looked out the window.
The please fasten your seat belts sign popped up and the plane started moving. I was on my way to Boston.
Rocky's POV
"Well, maybe I could try calling her." Rydel suggested after Ross called Emily for the fifth time.
"No, that won't work. She'll know it will just be one of us trying to get her to talk to Ross." I said, still thinking of how we could contact Emily.
We all knew it was too late and Emily would already be boarding the plane but we wanted to talk to her before the plane took off.
To be honest, I was devastated. Yes, I still had feelings for Emily, I couldn't help it. It was even worse, though, to see Ross so upset. I knew how much she meant to Ross as well and I would rather her be happy with Ross than be miserable.
"How about you call her Rocky." Riker said.
"What? How would that help?" I asked, snapping myself back to reality.
"She won't suspect you." Riker said.
"Um, ok." I replied.
"Please Rocky?" Ross begged.
"Ok." I sighed, knowing it wouldn't work.
I dialed Emily's number and listened to the phone ring. The thing is, she picked up on the second ring.
"Rocky? Hi!" She exclaimed, seeming excited to hear my voice.
"Hey Em." I said, trying not to smile too obviously.
"Is Ross there? Please don't put him on the phone. I just wanted to talk to one of my best friends. I miss you guys so much." She said. Hearing her voice again made my heart melt.
"I miss you too Emily." I said. Now Ross glared at me and I gave him a 'what do you want me to do' look.
"I have to go, but tell Ross that I'm sorry I left like this but if he really doesn't care about me since he flirted with a fan, then I'll just move on. Talk to you later!" She hung up.
"And?" Ross asked, seeming desperate.
"She said that she's sorry she left so suddenly but if you don't really care about her since you flirted with a fan then she'll just move on." I told Ross. He looked devastated.
"How could I be so stupid? I didn't even like that fan. I thought she was being flirty as a joke so I played along. You know, trying to make this a night for her to remember and joke about with her friends. I had no idea she was the one sending Emily the most hate." He looked at the ground and tears started to well up in his eyes.
Our mom came down and immediately comforted Ross.
"I'm so sorry sweetie." She said and looked to us for explanation. We told her everything. "That's terrible! Well, we need to get her back!" Our mom exclaimed.
"How? She's already on the plane?" Rydel asked.
"So? You guys have flown on a plane before." She winked at us.
"That doesn't make any sen-" Ross started but then realized what she was saying. His eyes got wide, a smile crept upon his face, and he raced up to his room.
"I think he knows what I'm talking about." Our mom said and followed Ross up to his room.
"What is she talking about?" Rydel asked.
"Dude, Ross is going to Boston." I said.
Emily's POV
I fell asleep on the plane ride there. I dreamt about Ross the entire time. Not a great start to this trip.
When we finally arrived in Boston, the airport was crowded with fans. I was only allowed to stop for a few fans since I was going to jump right into rehearsals today. I wasn't supposed to get here for another two days so we decided to start as early as we could so I could have free time to explore later on.
I checked my phone and I had four more texts from Ross. He even tried to call me again. Melissa saw me looking at my phone.
"I was going to answer that last call but figured it was yours to have." She gave me a small smile.
"Thanks." I said and got into the car to make my way to rehearsals. I stared out the window as the buildings passed by and I felt like there was something wrong. I didn't belong here. I shouldn't be here, but I was and that's that.
As I started to set up for rehearsals, I felt my phone ring.
"Hold on guys." I said and jogged off stage to see who was calling me.
It was Ross.
I had to talk to him. I knew I had to.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Emily? Is it really you?" He said, sounding excited.
"Yeah, it is." I was smiling now.
"I have to tell you something." He said.
"Emily! Come on!" I heard Melissa call to me.
"Ross, I have to go. I'll call you later." I said, and hung up.
Time for rehearsals.
