Chapter 10- I want the truth

NARRATOR'S POV

" Bluey " Indy said as she went after her.

The two girls went behind the school and started to laugh.

" I can't believe I actually did that " Bluey said still giggling.

" Yeah, it was hard to keep a straight face " Indy replied also giggling.

" Well, at least we've completed our tasks " Bluey stated.

" Yeah, by the way, where's Honey? " Indy asked.

" I don't know " Bluey replied.

Honey and Rusty were at the sick bay with Jack who was still unconscious.

" Can you please tell me what happened? " The nurse asked.

" I just went outside and I saw him on the floor " Honey lied. She didn't want anyone to know that she hit him in the head with a spanner cuz that would land her in trouble.

Rusty was scared, he didn't want anything to happen to his best friend.

" Ok, don't worry, he's gonna be ok " the nurse said as she walked into her office.

Not too long later Jack regained consciousness. " Ugh, what happened? " Jack questioned.

" Jack! " Rusty exclaimed as he went to hug him. He was glad that his friend was ok.

" Rusty, what happened? " Jack continued to question.

" Honey said she found you outside unconscious " Rusty responded.

" Yeah " Honey stated. She hoped Jack didn't remember what happened.

The nurse came back out." Oh, Jack you're awake " she said. She did some tests on Jack. " I'll be back with the results " she said as she walked back into her office.

" Hey Rusty, can you please get me a bottle of water " Jack requested.

" Sure " Rusty said as he left.

" I'm glad you're ok " Honey said as she was about to leave.

" Don't think I'm stupid " Jack said.

Honey was shocked. She still hoped that he didn't remember. " What are you talking about? " She asked.

" You hit me in the head with a spanner " he replied.

Her eyes widened.

" We're you trying to kill me? " He asked.

" No " she replied.

" Then why did you do it? " He asked.

She hesitated to answer. She didn't know what to say.

The principal and vice principal walked in." Oh Jack, good to know you're doing better " The principal stated.

The nurse came back in." Jack, looks like you were hit in the head with something, according to the bruise on your head " She said.

Honey's heart was beating heavily, she was scared, she immediately regretted what she did ' if only I had thought of a better plan ' she thought.

" Jack, do you remember what happened to you? " The VP asked.

Honey knew she was done for. She could get suspended, or worse expelled.

Jack looked at Honey and saw how scared she was. He wanted to know why she did it. He barely knew Honey but he knew she wasn't a psycho ' she probably has reasons why she did what she did ' he thought." No, I don't remember " he said.

Honey calmed down and was glad he didn't tell them. But it made her wonder ' why? '.

" Ok, get well soon " The principal said as he and the VP exited the room.

" Jack you seem better, so you're discharged, you can leave whenever you want " The nurse said as she went back to her office.

" Umm... Bye " Honey said as she dashed out of the room.

" Honey! " Jack yelled.

The two girls went to look for Honey but instead were stopped by Lucky.

" I've got a lot of questions " Lucky stated.

" Lucky not now we're busy " Indy said.

" See that's where my first question comes from. You just said 'we' like you didn't witness her destroy your trophy. Also, you guys know me well, so you know that I'm not stupid, infact I'm a genius. I saw you guys tamper with the projects " He brought out his phone and showed them the CCTV footage of them tampering with the projects." I know, you didn't think this school had CCTV cameras. You do realize that the principal could literally just check it and find out the truth " he said.

The girls were shocked. Honey told them that Lucky was a Mastermind but they didn't think he was that smart.

Honey ran up to them, she saw them with Lucky.* We have a problem * she whispered.

Lucky heard what she said and replied " Yes Honey you have a really big problem. Glad you're here, it leads me to ask. Indy never made a project neither did Bluey, but I know you did, so why did you label it as theirs?. Wait, I'm not done yet. The school has CCTV cameras but you're lucky that they don't have audio cause I would love to know what you guys talk about behind the school. Anyway I have two more questions, first, I saw that you started making your project on Wednesday morning but we were all informed in the afternoon, so how did you know about it?. Second why did you hit Jack in the head with a spanner? " Lucky concluded.

The girls were in absolute shock. Lucky actually figured out everything. They thought they had a full proof plan but Lucky figured it out.

" I want the truth " lucky demanded.

" Lucky, it's not easy to say, what we're dealing with is dangerous and we don't want you involved, for your sake. Give us a sec to talk. " Honey requested.

" Ok, you've got five minutes, no a second more " lucky stated.

The girls went out of hearing distance from Lucky to talk.

" What do we do now? " Bluey asked " it's against the rules to tell someone " she added.

" Guys, Lucky is a Mastermind, Even if we lie to him now, he's bound to figure out later. I say we tell him, we could use his help. Besides if we don't, he'll report us to the authorities and we could get expelled. " Honey stated.

" Yeah but... we're not supposed to tell, I don't want anything bad to happen, and I don't want to get into trouble " Indy said.

" You think you're in trouble, Jack knows I hit him with a spanner " Honey said.

" You hit him with a spanner?, Why? " Bluey asked.

" I was desperate for a plan, I wasn't thinking straight " Honey replied.

" Honey's right, we should tell Lucky the truth, he'll be of good help " Indy said

" No way, that'll get us into trouble " Bluey said.

" Bluey, you remember you guys first tasks. Win the competition and smash the trophy, but look where it led us. We could be expelled for tampering with people's projects or hitting a kid with a spanner. Nightmare knew that as easy as it sounds, it will be a challenge. The tasks are only gonna get harder from here so if we have Lucky's help, it would make it easier. " Honey said.

" Fine we'll tell him " Bluey said.

" Ok, so we've all agreed to tell him the full truth? " Honey asked

" Yes " Bluey and Indy replied.

" Hope we don't regret this " Bluey said

Well that chapter had a lot. Next chapter might be better.I have no idea why I made lucky a Mastermind but I just did.Vote and comment <3
