Chapter 2: Hogwarts, Here I Come!

(Cecelia's Pov)

I fluttered my eyes open to the gloominess that is of good ol' England, I've always loved the gloominess and rain and just the weather in general in England because it's the BEST time to ice skate...like literally the best time and at night *LA GASP* So much better!! So mesmerizin and beautiful at night...Oh man...this is going to be so much fun...

I smiled softly and tiredly as I sat up and rubbed my face tiredly. I looked at the time seeing it was 8am...I can't say I'm not a mornin person, I just am more of a night owl because I ice skate late at night until my parents or big brother yell at me and tell me to go to bed so yea...but I'm always up and early anyways because it's a habit of mine and because of school ya know?

Speaking of school, I'M FINALLY GOING to HOGWARTS TODAY!! I'M SO EXCITED...yet nervous...I may look like a very enthusiastic and bubbly girl but around others and mainly crowds, I'm very timid and shy but if I'm close to people then I can be bubbly and a bit outgoing but it's not likely unless it's with my family so.

But I am really excited to learn all about Magic at Hogwarts, I've been to muggle school pretty much all my life mainly because I never really had the courage to try Hogwarts...I got the same Hogwarts Acceptance Letter like Ceddy at age 11 even tho Cedric is a year older than me,

But I didn't think I was cut out to be a witch...and I honestly just wanted to Ice Skate more and I felt like they wouldn't have anythin I could Ice Skate on and I don't know it kinda just freaked me out because...So many kids...

But my brother when he came back after his first year, he ranted on and on about the classes and the people and it made me somewhat interested. Then durin his second year, he started to play Quidditch which I'm glad they have that for him because he's OBSESSED with it and that made me more interested.

His 3rd year, he told us about he's a prefect which is night duty for Hogwarts and makin sure student aren't wanderin and all the cool events Hogwarts has and during his 4th year which is the year I'll be in, he told me he was Seeker for Quidditch where you catch the golden snitch and now he's startin his 5th year, while I start my 4th...

Strange for just startin out but Cedric's talked a lot about me to the professors and why I didn't come when I first got my letter but I also kinda did promise I'd go when I turn 16 and well...I'm 16 and honestly now really excited after hearin all Cedric's stories and he told me that there's a lake not far from the Forbidden forest that I can go to ice skate which is great and honestly got me more excited than ever because I'm not goin to lose my interest in ice skatin.

Anyways I finally mustered up the courage to finally go because I was so over public school or Muggle school as they call it. I don't have friends and time without Ceddy was just awful...I hated not bein in school with him and I don't want to waste any more time so it's time to finally muster up the courage and go to Hogwarts and I'm just honestly so excited but also very nervous.

ANYWAYS, I smiled softly as I rubbed my face tiredly and hopped out of bed stretchin and yawnin. I headed out of my room and downstairs to the kitchen seein my mom cookin breakfast, my father and Cedric at the table and talkin while drinkin coffee.

Everyone looked at me and smiled "Mornin Cece" Cedric said, I smiled softly "Mornin" I said as I grabbed a mug and poured myself a cup of coffee and sat by Ceddy at the table "Are you excited for your first year at Hogwarts?" My father asked, I smiled and nodded "Very. I'm also very nervous" I said and brushed a strand of my messy bedhead hair behind my hair which is what I do when I'm nervous or embarrassed.

Everyone smiled softly "You're goin to have so much fun sis. I promise and I know for a fact you'll be sorted into Hufflepuff like me and we'll have most classes together so you'll be with me the entire time" Cedric said who wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

I blushed shyly and nodded "Thanks Ceddy" I said, he just nodded "I'm so excited to ice skate" I said, everyone chuckled "you're always excited to ice skate" Cedric stated, I scrunched my nose up at him "Well duh. Only one of the best things ever" I said, he scoffed "Not as great as Quidditch but sure" He joked.

I chuckled and rolled my eyes as I sipped my coffee "What pet do you plan on gettin?" My father asked, "What are my options?" I asked, "Cat, toad, owl" Cedric said, I thought for a moment as my eyes widen "Oh my godric a Snowy Owl!! It's so perfect and combine that with my ice skatin oh my I'm so excited" I explained with excitement.

Everyone laughed which made me giggle "I can just image me spinnin and doin my tricks with my snowy owl flappin its wings above me. The ice being grazed and bein kicked up in the air and the moonlight shinin down on us and makin it sparkly" I said and daydreamed about it.

Everyone chuckled which made me smile "Quite the imagination dear" mum said which made me giggle as mum finished up breakfast while me and Ced helped set the table. Mum sat by dad as we grabbed our rations of food and began to eat "What's my schedule do ya know?" I asked, "you'll receive a letter on your first day" Cedric said,

I just nodded as I shoved food in my mouth because every person who plays sports has to have a good amount of food in their bodies to keep up the energy for the sport they love to do and that's exactly what I do...I'm not necessarily insecure about my body,

I mean I am relatively average maybe on the thinner side but I ice skate so it kinda comes along with the sport, but I eat a lot and make sure to drink a lot of water and eat right, I mean I do eat junk food to cause I'm human...well a witch but still human who loves food so I never really had a reason when I had Ice skatin that burned all those calories anyways.

I guess the only thing I'm insecure about are my scars which also comes with the line of sports and yes, they're normal and accidental, I mean I can't tell you how many bones I've broke, shit I've torn and I'm covered in scars from just injuries.

I know that they're normal but I don't want people to assume I harmed myself ya know? And I guess I don't wanna get asked that because I also don't really look like the ice skatin type cause shy and timid girl with fancy sport like huh? So and I'm also just really shy and timid about my body really even tho I have no problem dressin cute...it's just if there's other people around type of thing...you get it?

Anyways, after breakfast, we all had to get ready so me and Ceddy...well mainly me to get my books, wand and pet for Hogwarts. Then we'd be leavin tomorrow afternoon to catch the Hogwarts Express so I'm excited.

I helped mum clean up of course then headed up to the bathroom to take a shower. I turned on the water, stripped out of my pj's which were just black sweats and a white tanktop with a flannel cover up.

I hopped in and let out a sigh as the hot water felt nice. I looked down, letting the hot water melt away any stress, tiredness or soreness from my body because again...I may have been ice skatin for 9 years, but I still get sore and injured so that's normal.

I sighed as my eyes wandered my body seein the small or large littered scars that etched my skin. The really really bad ones were on my legs. They went upper thigh to about my knee and the story behind that was I was 13 and I underestimated how sharp the blades are on ice skates and I was trying to do a trick call The Flip aka a Toe Jump where you skate on one foot, then jump and cross your feet while spinning and land on one foot again...but it was my first time doing said trick and I ended up gashing the blade into my right thigh...

It wasn't terribly, terribly deep but it was deep enough to the point of needing stitches and had to stay off my skates for a good 6 weeks which was IMPOSSIBLE...I tried sneakin out of course but my parents put a tracker on me that if I stepped even an INCH out of the house, the alarm went off so it was a miserable 6 weeks...

It hurt like a bitch, yes, but I never really was one to cry...I mean again...9 years, I've broken, scratched, scraped, bruised, fractured and pretty much torn everythin in my body so I'm kinda used to the pain cause I've known it all my life basically and I'm kinda competitive so I'm not a quitter nor crybaby and I'm glad for that cause if ya can't handle pain than sports aren't for you.

Anyways, I sighed and ran my fingers across the healed just visible scars on my body. They don't hurt nor are they sensitive, like I said these are from like many years ago and I haven't really injured myself since, I mean sure, I fall and get scrapes, bumps and bruises and soreness but never anythin like I used to cause I pretty much have practiced so much that I've master pretty much everythin...not tryin to be cocky but I know a lot.

After my shower, I turned off the water, hopped out and wrapped a towel around me. I headed back to my room, dried off and hopped in navy blue ripped jeans with a black cropped tanktop with a brown cardigan sweater. I slid on my combat boots, dried my hair, put on a beanie and headed out of my room and downstairs where the others were "ready to go?" Mum asked,

I just nodded as we headed out of the house greeted by the gloomy and rain smellin air which made me smile softly as I shivered slightly due to the cold breeze even tho I'm used to the cold. We hopped in the car and headed off to...well I'm not sure where...I know the place is called Diagon Alley; I just don't know where it is so...

I looked out the window seein all the tall buildins pass by along with cars and people. I smiled softly as we ended up by a pub? Called the Leaky Cauldron? I looked at Ceddy with confusion and titled my head a bit "Ready to have your mind blown?" Cedric asked, I just nodded as dad parked the car and we hopped out and headed inside the pub.

I held onto Ceddy's arm as we walked in seein many witches and wizards I'm assumin. My mum and dad greeted people and led me to a back door to a small openin to a brick wall. I looked at Cedric with confusion as my father got out his wand and tapped the brick wall which started to shape and move to form a small archway.

My eyes widen and mouth hung open a bit which made the others chuckle as we walked through seein many witches and wizards. My face flushed nervously as I tighten my grip on Cedric's arm who smiled softly "it's okay sis" He whispered, I just nodded as I followed my parents and big brother into some of the shops to get mine and Ced's wizardin books.

Next was to get my wand which Ced has a 12 ¼ inch Ash, Unicorn Wand which I have no idea what that means but it seems pretty cool. My parents decided to get the rest of mine and Ced's things while Ced dragged me to Ollivander's Wand Shop.

We walked into the quietness of the shop which made me let out a shaky breath...I never really realized how loud it was out there but thank god it's quiet cause I don't do loud noises. Ced rubbed my hand which made me smile "Mr. Ollivander sir!" Ced called out.

We heard the sound of a ladder bein pushed as I looked seein an old man stare at us and smile "Ah Cedric Diggory such a pleasure to see you again" He greeted, Cedric smiled "Pleasure to see you too sir" He said, Ollivander looked at me and smiled "Ah and this must be Cecelia Diggory. The little sister?" He asked,

I titled my head a bit which made Cedric chuckle "Sure is sir. She's here for her first wand" Cedric said, Ollivander chuckled "That she is. Well dear, let's see which wand suits ya huh?" He asked, I just nodded as he went and searched through boxes of wand.

He would glance at me and Cedric a few times before goin back to the boxes to make sure he gets the right wand for me. He came back and handed me a wand which made me smile softly as I grabbed it and it felt like jolts of electricity course through my body.

Ollivander and Cedric chuckled "Try it our dear. Give it a whirl" He said, I just nodded and swirled it which made things levitate and slowly descend back in their places. Ollivander and Ced smiled "Ah that my dear is an 11 ½ Beech wand with Unicorn Hair" Ollivander said, I smiled shyly "W-what does that mean?" I asked,

He chuckled "well my dear, the Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic and are the most faithful of wands and remain strongly attached to their first owners. They aren't the most powerful of wands however but I think with enough practice you should be good. The Beech color is for the young and wise witch or wizard of their years" He said, I smiled and blushed shyly "Wicked" I said,

Him and Ced chuckled "Well there you are dear. I hope you have a wonderful year at Hogwarts" Ollivander said, I smiled softly and nodded "Thank you sir" I said, he nodded as me and Cedric headed out of the wand shop and met up with mum and dad "Ah there you two are. Did ya get your wand?" Mum asked,

I nodded and showed them my wand which made them smile "Ah perfection" Dad said, I giggled and nodded "Now an owl yes?" dad asked, I just nodded as we headed to the pet shop to get my first pet. We walked in and I couldn't help but gasp at all the cute cats and owls, even the toads were pretty cute.

I giggled and smiled as I walked around tryin to find the perfect snowy owl. Once my eyes landed on the perfect snow white and black spotted owl. My eyes lit up as I smiled widely and grabbed the cage off the hook. The owl looked at me and I looked at her as if we would be perfect for one another "Hey girl. Ya wanna come home with me?" I asked,

The owl cooed which made me giggle as I met up with Ced, mum and dad. They looked at me and smiled "Find the one ya want?" Dad asked, I just nodded "She's perfect" I said, everyone chuckled as dad paid for her for me which made me thank him as we pretty much had everything so we headed back to the Pub and back to the car. Mum held my books and such while Cedric had his own and I held my perfect Owl on my lap. Once we buckled up, we headed back home.

When we got home, we headed out of the car and back to the house. I giggled and set the owl's cage on the coffee table "Can I let her out?" I asked, Mum and dad nodded which made me smile as I opened up the cage and let my owl out.

I held my arm out and whistled which made he coo and fly to my arm. I giggled and smiled as I pet her soft head "so whatcha gonna name her?" Cedric asked, I thought for a moment "Snowflake" I said, everyone chuckled which made me blush shyly "What? It's cute, she's as pretty as snow and perfect for an ice skater like mahself" I said,

Everyone smiled "I think it's wonderful dear" mum said, I smiled "So Snowflake I hope you listen because your owner is an ice skater and your job for that is to fly above me while I spin in circles and do fancy spins alright?" I asked, she cooed and blinked a few times which made me giggle and smile as I pet her "Good. Now lunch time. I bet you're hungry huh?" I asked,

She cooed which made me nod as I headed to the kitchen to make myself something to eat "Don't forget to pack!" Dad reminded me, "Alright!" I shouted back as I set Snowflake on the table and made myself a sandwich. I hummed softly and got a small bowl for Snowflake so she could eat and drink as well.

I set the bowls in front of her as she went on to eat and drink. I smiled and giggled as I sat at the table and ate my lunch too. Cedric came in and sat across from me "Is your mind blown yet?" he asked, I nodded "Very much so" I said,

He chuckled "Just wait until tomorrow" he said with a wink, I blushed and smiled as I pet Snowflake who pretty much ate and drank her food and water "Oh also I don't wanna see you with any boys you understand me?" Cedric asked gettin all big brother protective mode "But how am I supposed to have friends?" I asked, "there's plenty of girls" he said,

I pouted "I can't be friends with boys?" I asked, Cedric thought for a moment "Okay there are a couple of boys you can be friends with but I don't wanna see you snoggin either of them got it?" he asked sternly, I giggled and nodded "Yes sir" I said, "but if I do find a boy I like chances are...well no chances really because I don't know who would want to date me" I said doubtfully.

Cedric frowned "you're not allowed to date until I die" He said, I smiled and rolled my eyes "okay dad" I said, he chuckled and rolled his eyes "in all seriousness, I don't know who wouldn't want to date ya sis. You're amazin not to mention beautiful" he said and squished my cheeks together,

I blushed and smiled shyly which made him smile "What if I get bullied?" I asked, Cedric frowned "Well there are a couple of arsehole Slytherin's that aren't afraid to speak their minds but just stick by me and you should be fine. I will introduce you to a trio of kids I think you'll get along with just fine" He said, I nodded and finished up my lunch.

After lunch, I still needed to pack so me and Snowflake headed up to my room and grabbed my suitcase. I put many clothes, my books, a pair of my ice skates, my skatin outfits and a pair of my silks which is great for spinnin and doin tricks with and makes things much prettier.

After I finished packin. I put my suitcases by my bedroom door to make sure I don't forget it and sighed a bit "alright, shall we skate Snowflake so you know what it's like?" I asked, she cooed which made me giggle as I hopped out of my clothes and into my jade green and gold leotard/dress with sparkles. I slid on my black tights and grabbed my skates which I had multiple pairs of cause why not? Different styles and colors and such.

I giggled as me and Snowflake headed out of my room and downstairs "I'll be skatin if ya need me" I said, everyone smiled and nodded as me and Snowflake headed out of the house and to the park where there was a little lake that's frozen over so I could skate. I hummed softly and smiled "Fly Snowflake" I said, she cooed and flew around the lake area which made me smile as I sat on a bench and put on my skates.

I had my ipod attached to my hip and played music in the background...skatin is a lot better with music. I smiled as the music began to play and I just started to skate like there was no tomorrow. I hummed along to the songs and danced around, jumpin in the air, spinnin in circles and kickin my feet up with joy with Snowflake flyin above me and cooin everynow and then. The ice bein grazed and kicked up from the ground and sparkle in my eyes that I enjoy because of Ice skatin...today couldn't have been any better.

(Yay hope you enjoy the first chapter, I had do so much Ice Skatin research which I got the idea from a movie on netflix called Kiss and Cry, it's a pretty good teen movie but yea enjoy!)
