Chapter 16

Nicki rushed to the toilet and emptied her stomach for the fourth time that day. She had sort the whole day feeling awful and didn't know what was causing it. She had spent the majority of the day in her room and refused to eat anything. She brushed her teeth before going back to her room where she found her mother stood by the door.

Carol: Are you okay

Nicki: yeah. fourth time today

Carol: do you want me to get you anything pain relief wise or anything to calm your stomach

Nicki: no

Carol: Are you sure. don't you want something to eat. its almost 6 and you haven't eaten all day

Nicki: I'm fine. I just want to be alone.

Carol watched as she wiped a few stray years from her face. It was getting harder for her by the day and Carol really wished she could help. She slowly left the room leaving Nicki curled up on her bed crying. She couldn't stop the tears from leaving her own eyes. She knew there was only one person that could calm Nicki down or actually get her to talk and she found that she would have no choice but to ask him. By the fact that nickis phone had been off the whole day she knew she hadn't spoken to him. She decided to call him and it didnt take him long to answer.

Drake: Hello

Carol: Aubrey, She needs you. She won't speak to anyone and she keeps crying.

He could hear the pain in carols voice and he knew that Nicki was blocking her out.

Drake: I'll be over soon.

Carol: Thank you

Drake: anytime

They hung up.

Drake: I'll send e you guys in a bit

Ryan: Where you headed

Drake: It was her mother. She won't speak to anyone and she's been crying all day.

They all understood without any further explanation.

Courtne: Bless him.

Noah: It hurts me to think what he's gonna be like when she's gone.

Drake knocked on her bedroom door and waited for her to reply.

Nicki: go away

He could now hear the hurt in her voice as her sobs filled the room. He walked in and found her sat in the middle of her bed. She looked up at him with her face tear stained and eyes bloodshot.

Drake: Come here

He tried his best to hold in his own tears as he saw her in the state she was in. She walked into his arms and he held her close to him.

Drake: Its okay.

She didn't reply. She just continued to cry. He placed a kiss on her forehead and let her relax into him. He gently started singing Taylor Swifts 'Safe And Sound' to her knowing it would calm her down. The whole time carol just watched them. She was just as scared as they were; she just found a better way of hiding it.

Nicki walked into forever 21 where she found Lauren, Candi, TT and Sherika All shopping. She made her way over to them and once she got to them they greeted her with a group hug.

Lauren: how have you been Missy

Nicki: same old I guess, what about you guys I haven't spoke to you in a while

Sherika: Well you know us

Candi: Not much has bee. going on lately

Nicki: well I've missed your crazy ass selves so you better fill me in on what's been going on today

TT: Oh we will

They All Laughed. They did a bit of shopping before they decided to leave and make their way to another shop.

Nicki: So when are meeting the others.

Lauren: I think they're gonna meet us around 3:30, then we're going TGIFridays together.

Sherika: Who's coming Again Lauren?

Lauren: Ty, Callum, Jay, Cassie, Amber, Cameron, Sean, and Jarred.

TT: This is gonna be fun

Nicki: Its gonna be good. a chance for me to catch up with everyone.

Candi: That's true.

Sherika: We've missed you nic

Lauren: we really have

Drake and the crew were hanging out in the mall as they had just left collage and were all bored. Ashley was on Drakes back as he had promised her a piggy back if she agreed to come along.

Drake: I swear I'm gonna have a fractured back by the end of this.

Ashley hit him on head and he just laughed.

Noah: I know we're all like family but you know are like twins i swear. the little arguments you have a ridiculous.

Everyone laughed.

Courtne: but then again me and Abel are just the same.

Drake: You are

They all agreed.

Nicole: I'm hungry are we going pizza hut or nah

Ryan: Let's go

They all made their way to pizza hut and got settled down.

Nicki and the crew were on their way out of TGIFridays and making their way to the car park.

Lauren: So are you and Drake still together

Nicki: Yup. Wouldn't leave him for the world

Nicki had started feeling a little drowsy but hoped that if she didn't think about it that she would be okay.

Lauren: always knew there was something between you two

They both chuckled.

Jarred: Lauren have you seen this.

Lauren: what?

Lauren walked ahead to see what jarred was talking about. Nicki now walked alone at the back. Althought there was 14 of them Nicki seemed to be the only one not engaged in conversation at this point. She had enjoyed herself but she always knew that every good thing that happened to her recently would end badly. She had seen people that looked like drake and the crew earlier but had questioned it a little.

Noah: What's the time

Ryan: 6:48

They were all hanging out in the car park of the mall as they had left pizza hut not that long ago.

Courtne: Is that Nicki

They all turned to look where she was looking and all agreed that it was nicki.

Drake: She's not okay

Nicole: how do you know

Drake: I Just know

Ashley: Maybe she just wanted to walk a little behind everyone else

Drake: Her body is tense and she's stumbling.

Noah: He's not lying

Drake: I'm going

Abel: nah, don't. she'll be fine

Drake: They're not even paying attention to her and I'd rather be safe than sorry. its freezing and she's not wearing a jacket so its either you guys get ready with the jumpers or I'll do it all myself

Nicole: Go

Drake jogged over to where Nicki was and stood behind her putting his handson her elbows as her arms were around herself. He could now feel her slightly shaking.

Drake: You're okay. You're fine

He eyes were closed just as he expected. The sound of drakes voice caused the others to turn around and look at what was going on.

Lauren: Is she okay

Jay: what's happening to her

Sherika: Nic are you okay

He could feel her drifting in his arms and it wasn't long before she was out. The others took that as their cue.

Drake: You're okay nic. You're fine

Noah and Abel arrived first and put the jumpers on the floor as drake laid her on top of them. The others soon came along too and put the rest of their jumpers over her as a blanket.

Cassie: Drake what's going on

Sherika: Is she okay

He ignored the questions and focussed his attention on Nicki. She was out a little longer than usual but at last she finally woke up. The others were now quiet and no longer asking questions. others had even offered their jumpers.

Drake: Are you okay

She nodded.

Drake: Are you cold

Nicki: a little.

Drake: You still out or you wanna get up

Nicki: get up

He removed the jumpers and put them aside before helping her to her feet. She stumbled a little but he caught her and held her close, helping her to regain her balance.

Lauren: Nic, Are you okay

Nicki: yeah

Drake took of his jacket and let her wear it before just holding her close to him.

Sherika: We take our eyes off you for 2 seconds

Everyone laughed.

Drake: Do you want me to take you home

She nodded and just looked at the rest of his crew and they all nodded too.

Drake: Come on.

He walked with her to his car and they headed home.

Candi: I feel really bad

TT: me too.

Amber: I had no idea like if we had paid a little more attention.

The rest of the group agreed to also feeling guilty.

Noah: Don't, it wasn't your fault and if it wasn't for drake we wouldn't have seen it. he just knows and makes sure to be there before it happens.

Ashley: We never see it. its always him. She never says either. so don't blame yourselves.

Drake knocked on the door with a sleeping Nicki in his arms. It was answered by Carol who just moved out of the way letting him take her to her bedroom. He got her changed and put her inn her bed before placing a kiss and softly whispering 'I love you' before heading home himself...
