Chapter 21
16:39, 2 October 2015Taehee's POV
I sniffled and rested my head on Hoseok's shoulder. "This is so embarrassing." I muttered, covering myself from the unbearable embarrassment.
Hoseok laughed and pat my head.
Class was still not over so Solbi and Taehyung were still stuck in both normal class and lunch class, meaning they couldn't come visit me until after school. It was mostly their fault for texting in class with Ms Ji. I wasn't even slightly curious on what Jimin was doing but that didn't mean he was off my mind once.
My head couldn't wrap around the fact that he chose to help Jinae over me. Even though he promised to protect me no matter what happens.
The nurse had bandaged my leg earlier and told me it was just a light sprain; it would be better in a few weeks or less but I should still take the day off.
She was pretty awkward most of the time when she was bandaging my leg so it stung at times, but I didn't blame her for being super nervous, there was an idol standing right in front of her.
Hoseok wiped off my mascara and sighed, "we need to teach you how to reapply makeup since we won't be together all the time." He said, putting on mascara for me.
When he finished he popped the mascara in my mini makeup kit that was a gift from Hyori. It contained the basic makeup tools and was easy to carry around since everything was in a cute floral portable makeup bag.
Luckily all the products were from Korean brands such as Nature Republic or Etude House, and not from more expensive brands or foreign brands.
I winced as he accidentally poked my eye with the mascara. But of course he simply laughed it off and acted as if he didn't just stab my eyeball. It didn't really help that the mascara was quite irritating my eyes. I wasn't use to wearing makeup and my skin was breaking out because of the irritation.
"Yah Jung Hoseok be more gentle!" I scolded him, thinking of the time he and Jungkook braided my hair, I remembered saying the exact same thing.
Hoseok groaned, "learn to reapply it yourself!" He hissed back as he threw the mascara back into my bag. I smirked, "why should I?" I said in a rather mocking tone which irritated him further.
"Gosh you're so bipolar. Just ten minutes ago you were crying your eyes out on me!" I blushed and hit his chest.
"Don't remind me."
We chuckled as my face was a deep red and burning from the embarrassment. He patted my head, "want to go want that drama now?" I smiled and nodded.
He stood in front of me and crouched down. I jumped on his back and grinned.
As we walking out of the infirmary, I insisted that we needed to go to my locker and then tell everyone else that I was going to go home since I knew Solbi would pester me later if I disappeared without saying anything.
By the time we got to my locker, it was lunch break and there students surrounding Hoseok, screaming.
I got off his back and told him that I can handle the rest, and that we should just go meet up in the garden. Hoseok was reluctant at first but my stubborn personality shone through and bet his ambition.
When he finally left I felt like I could breath again.
No sweaty, screaming fangirls.
I opened my locker and got out my backpack. "Taehee." I flinched and looked behind me immediately. Of course there stood Jinae with a sly smirk plastered on her face.
"Poor Jimin wanted to go apologise to you but instead he saw you warming up to one of his friends. He's really angry, you should've seen the veins popping from his neck when he saw you embracing J-Hope Oppa." She said with a mocking voice. I didn't know what to say other than stand there and take in her rude comments.
Jimin saw Hoseok hugging me. He's angry at me for sure.
I sighed and walked away from Jinae, ignoring her annoying whines. I spotted Jimin down the hallway, talking to his usual group of friends.
As I made my way to Jimin, my legs felt oddly heavy, it was as if I was carrying around a bunch of bricks. When I made it to Jimin, all his friends smiled at me and greeted me warmly.
Typical Kingkas, I scoffed to myself.
"Jimin?" I tapped his shoulder, he looked at me before turning away.
He's giving me the silent treatment. I sighed heavily as Jimin's friends looked at us in confusion. "Hey Jimin I just wanted to say sorry about earlier."
I walked away with a frown plastered over my face.
My heart was hurting badly and I just kept thinking negatively. I pulled my hair behind my ear, not paying attention to the various whispers I was receiving from people in the hallways.
"Noona!" I recognised Jungkook's voice and looked straight in front of me. "Jungkook, Minji." I said, cracking a fake smile.
Jungkook had this panicked look on his face while Minji had a frown. "Unnie we heard what happened, are you okay?" I nodded, "Hoseok is going to take me home to rest after I say bye to Solbi and Taehyung."
"Why did you apologise to Hyung? He should be the one doing that." Jungkook ruffled my hair and gave a pitiful smile.
I shrugged, I didn't know why I apologised. Jimin was the one who broke our promise and started ignoring me when I should be the one doing all those things. It was as if our roles were reversed.
He sighed, "he's a little bratty like you then." I narrowed my eyes at Jungkook and flicked his forehead.
"Yah you're the maknae here!" Minji giggled and nodded.
I said bye to them before making my way to Solbi's and Taehyung's lunch class. My foot was hurting really badly and I was kind of regretting the fact I sent Hoseok away. When I got to their class my foot felt like it was ready to snap in half even though it was just a sprain.
As I looked through the window, I noticed the both of them were once again slacking off. Taehyung was stacking his books and gluing them together while Solbi was eating snacks and watching 'Happy Together' on her phone.
A small giggle escaped my lips as the teacher hadn't yet realised the two weren't even giving Ms Ji the slightest bit if attention.
Solbi noticed me first. She smiled and tugged Taehyung's jacket sleeve. Taehyung smiled as well and put his hand up.
I could faintly hear him saying, "Solbi and I need to go to the bathroom." Before standing up, not even waiting for the teacher's approval. The two of them skipped out of class with bright grins on their faces.
I stepped foreword but groaned immediately as my foot began aching more. The two rushed by my side right after they saw the discomfort in my face.
"Geez we give you a makeover and the first day back to school, you already get injured." Taehyung muttered.
"Sorry." I said feeling quite guilty.
He sighed and hugged me tightly. I turned over to Solbi who was eyeing my backpack. She looked up to me, "are you going home early? Do you want me to take you home? I don't mind skipping the rest of class; actually I'm more than fine, I would be happy to do it. We have Mr Yoon next and I didn't do my homework again."
Taehyung snickered at Solbi for her other intentions as he pulled me closer to him. "Well bad luck for you I'm taking Taehee home." I knew he didn't do the homework either and that was why he too was quite enthusiastic to skip class.
Two idiots with the same plans.
Solbi and Taehyung pulled each other's hair, complaining who was going to take me home.
"I'm her brother!"
"I'm her girl best friend!"
"Family beats Friends!"
Now standing behind the two morons who were screaming their heads was Ms Ji with a displeased, scowling look. Solbi and Taehyung had yet even acknowledged her presence which for some reason got her even more mad.
"Mr Kim, Ms Lee, I see you two are having a great time. Should we reschedule this class for after school detention next week?"
I watched as Taehyung's and Solbi's eyes literally popped out of their eye sockets from the sudden voice of Ms Ji. They both hesitantly turned around with a scared, awkward smile.
Ms Ji's smile just brought more fear to their faces.
Solbi and Taehyung looked at each other before nodding at each other, grabbing me, carrying me up onto Taehyung's back and making a run for it.
When we turned a corner down the hallway, Ms Ji's voice could be heard echoing through the hallways of our school. She was shouting that both of the two of them had detention for the rest of the school year.
Before long we had made it to the garden. Hoseok's army of fangirls had already left, leaving him alone in the garden.
He caught sight of the three of us heading his direction and immediately raised his eyebrow at us.
"Why are the two out of class, all sweaty and breathing heavily like you ran a marathon?" Hoseok asked pulling me down from Taehyung's back before his sweat drenched my uniform.
I handed Solbi my water bottle that she gladly took and drank most of the water, leaving me less than 1/4 cup of water.
"Old lady Ji caught us skipping lunch class because dumbo here," Solbi said referring to Taehyung, "started screaming in front of her class room."
Taehyung glared at Solbi who stuck her tongue at him.
"Don't make me tell your boyfriend you were being mean to me! He is my dad you know." Everyone narrowed their eyes at Taehyung.
"Please don't bring Oppa into this." Solbi pleaded, rubbing her temples.
Before there's any confusion, no Taehyung is not talking about our biological father who in my opinion doesn't really count as our father anymore. No he's talking about his sunbae, Jung Daehyun.
Taehyung smirked triumphantly and laughed like he was some sort of king.
Solbi rolled her eyes and linked our arms together. "Let's go before he realises we're gone." She whispered to Hoseok and me. We nodded and slowly made our way to the gate.
Taehyung quickly realised and trailed from behind. "Wait for me!"

Now we were all sitting in my lounge room watching Shut Up Flower Boy Band.
Both Solbi and I practically squealed every time Sung Joon talked or even moved a single muscle.
Hoseok groaned, "yah quiet down."
I ignored him and continued staring at Sung Joon.
When the drama had finished Jungkook had already come home with Jimin, who greeted everyone else but me. He acted as if I wasn't even there.
I said hello to him but he pretended not hear me, instead he walked by me, accidentally kicked my foot which was now throbbing more than before.
Jimin retrieved to his bedroom and slammed the door shut, not sparing me a 'hello'.
Everyone in the room stared at me, "why are you letting him act that way? You should be the one doing all of that!" Taehyung lectured me.
I gave a small smile, "he saw Hoseok hugging me, I think he's just jealous that I'm taking his hyung away from him." Everyone sighed and some even muttered 'she's such an airhead'.
"That's not the point! How am I going to make it up to Jimin?"
No one said a word, they were all thinking.
"It's nearly hyung's birthday." Jungkook muttered before cracking his infamous bunny smile. "Noona you can get him a really good present and throw him a surprise party!" Everyone in the room nodded vigorously at Jungkook's idea.
I just hope this works.
