Chapter 23: Wanna Bet?

4 years later... -Dawn-

"Understood, Minako?" Toya-san, The Village Leader, asked.

"Hai."

Minako teleported back to her house, to pack up for her journey back to Konoha Village, as she latterly was given a mission.

Walking towards the door, she saw a few fresh red and white roses in a vase on the table. Smiling, she went out. "He's been here.."

Gliding from tree to tree, the next second, she arrived a few feet away Konoha. Thanking herself for marking some trees, helped.

Jumping down, she wore her village head protector around her head, taking off the hood of the cloak she's currently wearing.

"I'm back.." She smiled.

She arrived by the gates, thankful that the two shinobis who were in-charge of the gates were asleep. She let out a deep breath, and looked up the Hokage Tower.

"I'll end this quick.."

Quick meant a couple of hours, she did her mission, handing Lord Third confidential information. She was planning to leave as soon as she finished, but Lord Hiruzen told her to stay for a couple of hours or days, to rest.

Minako first declined the offer, but the Hokage insisted, she was reluctant but agreed.

"Minako, regarding Naruto... you can meet him, if you want. I realized that agreeing to separate you two, was wrong. And I apologize for that." Lord Hiruzen said.

Which shocked Minako, then immediately regain her composure. "No need to apologize Hokage-sama, I know that you did it to protect Naruto. "

"As much as I want to, Hokage-sama. I think it's best if he doesn't know that he has a sister yet. He's too young to understand, and I don't want him to hate me." She said.

The Lord Hokage nodded, "You've truly grown, Minato and Kushina would be proud of you." Minako smiled and they said their goodbye's.

After a quick brunch, at Ichirako's, walking down the streets of Konoha, she overhears a call of a familiar name.

"KAKASHI-SENSEI!! Hurry up will ya!!"

She turns her head to see, the old weird-shaped white hair of Kakashi, coming towards her direction. She carefully eyes three genins, quickly recognizing the spiky yellow hair.

Naruto!?! (⊙_☉)

A pink headed girl in the middle,

Is that...ugh.. what's her name again...was it....Sakura? (◎_◎;)

And an all too familiar duck-shaped raven haired boy,

Sasuke. (￣^￣)

The three passed by, she saw the reason why they told him to hurry up.

"He's actually reading one of pervy sage's novels..." (￣ω￣;)

"Kakashi?!" His head shot up and turned to Minako. Stopping, and looking confused yet surprised.

"Lady Minako, is that you?"

Minako sweatdropped (￣^￣;).

"Are you serious Kakashi?!? Lady!?"

Kakashi laughed and puts away his novel after marking it. "Long time no see."

Minako walk towards Kakashi, "So you're a sensei now.."

Kakashi scratched the back of his head, and let out a chuckle. "Yeah, you were gone a few years. A lot has happened.."

"I can see that." Minako gestures to the three genins. Both of them started walking, but not as fast as to catch up.

"I guess that I'm lucky that you happened to be Naruto's sensei." She said.

...

"On their test, he tried to eat the lunches by himself, while those two tried to get the bells." Minako chuckles.

"That's Naruto alright." She smiled.

"What's the girls name?" She asked.

"Sakura Haruno." Kakashi replied.

"And you know Sasuke right?"

"Since he was a baby." Minako said.

Suddenly, there was a commotion between the three, but then ended quickly with Naruto getting punched.

"Girls are more interested in love than ninjutsu these days.." Kakashi sighed.

"Is she always that? Like trying to get his attention.." Minako said.

"On a daily basis." Kakashi said.

"She shouldn't try, when she already got his attention."

"Hm?!"

"I mean, she sounds really annoying, so she definitely gets his attention. Other than that, being herself, a ninja, got his attention as well." She said.

Kakashi scoffs and shakes his head slowly.

...

"You and Uchiha huh?" Kakashi quietly asked.

Minako slightly blushed, "I've heard stories and such.." Kakashi added.

"I..yeah.."

Kakashi raised both of his eyebrows, surprised. "So how are you guys?" He said casually.

Minako's brow furrowed, slightly confused. "You know that Itachi joined the Akatsuki and is wanted, but somehow we can still see each other."

Kakashi nodded, "Well, do you know what he did, before both of you left the village?"

Minako sighed, and noticed that Sasuke was eavesdropping to their conversation. She whispers, oh so quietly, "I suggest that we'll talk regarding him somewhere, more private."

"Agreed."

"He's always listening.." Minako said to herself.

Kakashi looked over to Minako then saw her gaze focused on Sasuke. "Well, see you later then." Minako smiled.

Kakashi nodded and gave her a small wave, Minako reciprocate it and then vanished into thin air.

-Time Skip-

Still walking down the streets, Minako had her hood up, and was enjoying the silence.

Out of nowhere, Sasuke appears, kunai in hand, and attacks. Surprised, Minako stopped him by grabbing the hand, avoiding the kunai.

She pushes him slightly, creating distance between them. "Who are you!?" Sasuke snarls.

Minako stayed silent, observing Sasuke, she then inwardly sigh. "I told you Itachi. You should've told him, when he was still young."

"I heard you mention Itachi, WHO ARE YOU!?"

Minako frowns, "He even calls his big brother by his name..."

"A friend." Minako replied.

Sasuke launches himself at her, trying to hit her again. Before Sasuke could hit, Minako poked his forehead, unaware that she used a small portion of her chakra.

Therefore, Sasuke was now a few steps from her. "Shit. I could've hurt him."

"I'm a friend, yes. But I don't know where he is or how he is now. I knew him before he became rogue." Minako said. "What am I doing!?!"

"What do you want from him?" Minako asked.

"It's none of your business." Sasuke snaps. Putting away his kunai, and ready to leave.

Before he could even turn, "If you want to kill your older brother and avenge your clan. I suggest you to train more, if he was to appear right now, you can barely give him a scratch. I'm not saying your weak, I'm saying that you have to be stronger and powerful. In the righteous way." Minako said.

Sasuke's eyes widened, "How did you-" she cuts him off.

"I know an Uchiha, when I see one. You look just like him. It's a shame if you end up like him." Sasuke runs, but before he could hit her again. She vanishes.

"Who was she?"

Minako and Kakashi met in a café of some sort.

Minako was talking about her neutral interaction with Sasuke, and how she could've easily hurt him.

"I was this close in hurting Sasuke. THIS CLOSE!" she said. Measuring with her point finger and thumb.

Kakashi nodded. "Mhm.."

Minako rolled her eyes, "What do you want to know about?"

"Well, did you know?"

"Yes. Anything else?" Minako raised her eyebrows.

"That's all I need to know." Minako sweatdropped.

Their conversation went on and on, mostly regarding about Naruto, Itachi and occasionally Sasuke and Sakura.

"Seriously?" Kakashi asked.

"Yeah, I think they make a good couple, they kinda remind of Itachi and I. Except I wasn't that loud." Minako said.

"Minako, you barely speak. Besides, you think that they would be together in the near future?"

"Yup. You don't believe me?"

"I can't see Sasuke, actually being with a person, let alone a girl." Kakashi said.

"Well, I'm sure as hell that he won't grow old alone, like you, and reading those novels Pervy Sage writes."

（￣～￣;）"I'm not old." Kakashi murmured.

"Wanna bet?" Kakashi cocked his brow, "Sasuke and Sakura will end up together." Minako added.

Kakashi squints.

Minako smirks.
