Recap:

Rin's POV

“You don’t scare me wench.”

I got in his face, “Well I guess we will have to fix that then, won’t we?”  His face turned into that of confusion.

“You can’t torture me, you have no weapons.”

“I don’t need them.”  I cracked my knuckles, and then stretched my fingers.  I popped my neck, and then reached out to touch either sides of his head.

“What are you…?”  And then the screaming began.

Minutes later I walked out with the information that I needed.  I whispered in Sesshoamru’s ear “Get rid of him for me.”  He nodded and got to work.

I walked to my brother.  “You are going to let me in that head of yours dear brother.”

“Rin?”

“I am not asking.”  I was serious, I am not playing games, I am tired of playing.  He could see that, everyone could.  Sesshomaru walked out of the shed, and saw me with my brother.  I placed my hands in the same way, and soon Renji was on his knees

I removed my hands for a moment.

“Rin, please, this isn’t necessary.”

“Yes, it is.”  I brought my hands back to his head.  Why is he fighting me?  I pulled back.

“What do you have to hide, brother.”  Venom was clear in my voice, I didn’t care.  No more secrets, no more lies. “It gets worse the more you fight it, but you knew that.”  My hands went back to his head, and this time I tried harder, he slowly started to let go, allowing me inside his head.

There, that’s what I was looking for, I stopped, and backed away from him.  He was hunched over, trying to catch his breath.  He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes.  But I turned away from him, as silent tear fell down my face.

Rin’s POV

“You have until nightfall to take your family and leave.”  I told him without even turning to look at him.

“Rin, please you…”

“I don’t care what the excuse is, you are not my brother.  I don’t have one, he died a long time ago.”  There was no emotion, no care, plain emptiness inside.  I felt nothing, I will feel nothing, just turn it off, and stop caring, because caring gets you killed.  I knew that, but yet I let him in anyways, I let all of them in, even Sesshomaru.  I clinched my fists, to resist the urge of turning around and beating him to the ground.  I moved my feet, and forced myself to walk away.

I felt all eyes on me, as if I were some sort of monster, but I didn’t care.  No one should know what happens inside my head, no one.  Not even Sesshomaru.  I walked away and into the trees.  I continued to walk until I made it to the river.  I knew that I was followed, and I knew that it was Sesshomaru.

“Leave me be Sesshomaru.”  Again, there was no emotion, I was turning into how he used to be.

“Rin?”  There was a hint of worry in his voice.

“Leave me be, or did you go deaf all of a sudden?”  Venom filled my voice, I have been weak too long.

Soon he was standing in front of me, he gripped my shoulders in his strong hands, and he squeezed slightly.  “What happened?”  His eyes narrowed at me, trying to urge me to talk.

“None of you concern.”  I pushed him away.  “Stop acting like you care, go back to feeling nothing demon!”  I half yelled at him, as I vanished from his sight.  I used my powers to take me somewhere else, some place he wasn’t, a place no one was, a place where I could be alone.  I didn’t want to be near others right now, not even him.  I wanted to be alone, no, I needed to be alone.

How could Renji do this to me, I thought, I thought…  I fell to the ground, and I hit the forest floor screaming, not caring if I attracted unwanted guests, I could take on whoever or whatever came for me.  “WHY!!!?”  I screamed into the wind.  Why did this have to happen, why did my life have to always have something bad happen?  Why couldn’t he be my brother, my real brother, the one that loved and would do anything for me?  No he had to betray me, his own sister.  He is powerful, and so am I.  Together we could have stopped them, stopped him.  Why couldn’t Renji have held on a little bit longer?  I just want to have peace in my life, is that too much to ask?  Why did Renji tell them where I was, why did he betray me?  Was it to save his family?  Only we could have stood together, like family, we could have stopped it all.  Should I still keep him around?  Do I ever let him back in?  Do I trust him still?  What do I do?

I hit the ground a few times.  When a new thought came to mind.  Do I trust Sesshomaru, do I trust Inuyasha, Inu-no-taishu, Izayoi, Sango, Miroku, Blaze, and even kohaku, but still the most important one, is Sesshomaru.  He says I am his, and he would do anything to keep me safe, but what if that meant putting me in harm’s way to get there.  No that doesn’t make sense.  I gave Sesshomaru all of me, I gave him everything.  But then again he is a demon, and he has hurt me before.  How could he do this to me, to us?  Would he do something like this, it is clear that Renji told them about me, but would Sesshomaru do it too?  I screamed again, and a gust of wind began, the wind picked up, and soon clouds were gathering in the sky.  Lightning shot across the sky along with thunder echoing across the lands.  The trees seemed to dig their roots in deeper into the ground, as the wind picked up.  I rose from the ground, and was about to leave, when I saw where I was.

“Why here?”  I looked at the hot springs, where, I, he, we.  I dropped to my knees, no Sesshomaru would never do such a thing.  He would never hurt me, he only loves me, and me alone.  I bring him sanity, as he does me.  I looked back up with tears in my eyes, I can’t shut everyone, and everything out.  I love him too much to risk losing him, after I just got him back.  I really do love him, and he really does love me.  This is where he proved that, how much he loved me.  How much I love him.  I sighed, and breathed in a few deep calming breaths as I felt the weather return to normal.  It was almost dark out now, and I transported back to my home.  Renji and his family were gone, I could sense it.  Sesshomaru, where is he.  Where could he be?  I closed my eyes and focused.  There, I found him.  I ran out of the house, and towards the river.  I reached the river, and I saw him standing under one of the trees I liked to climb in.  He didn’t even turn to see me, but I knew that he knew I was there.  I walked to him, and then came to stand in front of him.  He didn’t look at me, and when I reached out to touch him, he jerked away from me.  My hand froze mid-air, and I didn’t know what to do.

“Sesshomaru?”  My voice cracked, I was too shocked to have tears at the moment.  “Sesshomaru.”  Now tears slowly came to my eyes, but I refused to let them fall.  He looked down at me, with that cold glare he gave his enemies.  Is that how he saw me know?  Did I really mess up that badly?  I tried again, “Sesshomaru?”, but I got no response just a glare from him.  What do I do now?
