The Surgery

(Curse warning)The next morning came by fast, and I was getting ready for surgery. I was not really in the mood to talk so I was pretty quiet before the surgery. I saw Sanemi one last time before it was time. He nodded his head and gave me a reassuring look, it helped calm my nerves a bit. Then I was taken into a room.

    Sanemi’s POV    I saw him being taken to the room for surgery, then I had to wait in the waiting room. He better make it out alright or I will kill those doctors with my bare hands. It could take six hours, and yes waiting will get boring but I can’t leave him. No matter how hard I have tried in the past, I can’t get that quiet bastard out of my head.     I still remember the time I told Uzui about my feelings for Giyuu. He literally almost squealed, ran and got Rengoku. Those two told each other everything so they tried to make me confess. I never gave in, but I am planning to confess once he wakes up. I was lost in thought but quickly snapped out of it when Mitsuri grabbed my shoulders and started to shake me. 

    “Where is he? Is he in surgery yet or can I s-”

    “Calm your tits, he just went into surgery. What took you guys so long?”

    Many of them were here now, Kanao also showed up, lately she had been busy with work. Thankfully I had been on vacation for the past few days but soon I will have to go back to work. It seemed like everyone had jobs except for Giyuu, Muichiro and Inosuke. Muichiro was still young, but he did dog walking sometimes, Giyuu said he had quit his job and nobody has hired Inosuke yet. 

    “Are you all off work today? If so, that is crazy.”

    “I worked this morning so that is why I came so late!” Rengoku chipped in.

    “I have to work the night shift with Shinobu. Mitsuri and Kanao are off, Gyomei is at work currently. Tanjiro and many of the others have to work later. So the only ones who might be here the whole time are you, Mitsuri, Kanao, Inosuke, Rengoku and Muichiro.” Iguro said.

    Well that made enough sense I guess, so I shrugged and talked with them for a while. Anything to make the time go by faster, the faster I see Giyuu the better. I hate how soft he has made me. I felt so vulnerable, I wanted to punch something but I couldn’t here and I wasn’t going to leave. We talked about all sorts of things until most left, Rengoku, Muichiro were the only ones left and then Genya showed up. So us four were the only ones still waiting.    Luckily Giyuu should be getting out of surgery soon, it had been four and a half hours. Then I saw a doctor talking to Rengoku, I was curious. They chatted for a bit and Rengoku came back and sat down next to me. Muichiro and Genya then went to the vending machine. I had the perfect opportunity to ask Rengoku what that was about.

    “So what did the doctor say?”

    “Curious are you!? Well, they said the surgery is going swimmingly and are finishing up now, but Giyuu will still be asleep for a while. You will have to wait for your kisses.”

    “Excuse you bitch!? When did I say that?”

    Rengoku knew how to push my buttons, and I could feel the heat on my face. I must have been blushing a lot, I punched his arm and looked away. I heard him chuckle at my embarrassment but then he stopped. He told me it was okay to be in love and that I should cherish it or something, but I did take that in mind. Genya and Muichiro came back holding hands and with some candy bars.     I eyed Muichiro, giving him a glare as if to say ‘hurt him, and i’ll hurt you’. He just shrugged and sat down with my brother. I was going to say something but a doctor came over to us.

    “Are you all here for Giyuu Tomioka?”

    “Yes, is the surgery done, how did it go, will he-”

    “Calm down, yes the surgery is done, he is doing fine just sleeping and you can come in when he wakes up. Only two at a time though, we don’t want to startle him.”

The doctor then walked away and I couldn’t be happier. I grabbed onto Rengoku and told him I knew it would go fine. He just laughed at me and shook his head while Genya smiled at me. I didn’t care that he was laughing at me, Giyuu was going to be okay.

Authors note: there will probably be cursing almost every chapter so ima stop saying curse warning, okay I'm giving this whole story a curse warning. But I will warn another stuff if needed. Lol
