16. Girlfriend?

The photoshoot came to an end. Navya was going to plan the events for the day. She entered into the shoot area and waved at him, he walked up to her and said "Change of plans, aaj ka din maine plan kiya hain".

"Without the.... SHUBMAN GILL spotted with a mystery girl part" she asked, last part sounding like a headline.

"Yes" he said sarcastically, while she giggled. "Keys plz" he asked forwarding his hand, he took the keys from her in one hand and grabbed her hand in the other and walked out of the office.

"You are the passenger princess for the day" he said sitting in the car.

"As you wish Mr. Prince. Ab batayiye kaha chali savari"

"Well.... Pata nahi" he replied.

"Matlab"

"Pata nahi ka ek hi matlab hota hain na"

Navya wanted to say something when her phone popped. "OH MY GOD!" she exclaimed.

"What happened?" he asked concerned.

"SHUBMAN GILL spotted with a girl. Is the cricketer in a relationship?" she read the headline . "He was spotted hand in hand with a girl... blah blah blah" she said while Shubman laughed ."Panch min pehle kia photo dala hain" she said annoyed.

"Don't worry, I saw that coming, isi liye tho kaha - pata nahi, kahi par bhi rukhenge tho aur photos ayengi bahar. So it's a loooooooooong drive" he relied.

"If you saw it coming then why did you hold my hand" she asked.

"It was my reflex, I didn't think it through" he replied. "Don't take them seriously".

The drive and the day went pretty well. On their way they stopped to have dinner and they were clicked again. The social media was flooded with the two photos. Netizens recognized her as she won the Business Women of the Year for 2 consecutive years.

The duo did not know about their viral pictures, they were too engrossed in their 'get to know each other time'.

"Kal back to Chandigarh" she spoke half heartedly.

"Hmm... tum match dekne aaogi, Mohali main" he asked hesitantly. "This Monday" he added.

"Monday... wo main"

"Nahi aapaogi" he said, it was a statement rather than a question.

"teek hain... ab ghar chale" he asked going towards the car.

The duo walked into the house where everyone was waiting for them

"Main tumhe hamesha se pooch thi rahi ki girlfriend hain ya nahi aur tum mujhse jhoot bol rahe the" Keart asked angrily.

"Aur tum, kitne rishte tukrae tumne, ek baar batadeti hum na thodi kehte" Sindhu reflected her anger.

"Sach main, Navya se achi ladki hum bhi nahi doond paate tumhare liye" said Lakhwinder.

"Hum bhi nahi doond paate Shubman se better koi" added Suraj.

The duo looked at the family then at each other with wide eyes.

"Maa, kya bol rehe ho" Shubman tried to understand.

"Chup reh, aur kitna jhoot bolega" scolded Keart not letting the duo speak.

Suddenly Sindhu burst out laughing and everyone joined her.

"Shakal dekho dono ki" laughed Suraj.

Navya and Shubman were still confused as hell.

"Instagram khol ke dekho" Lakhwinder said.

Shubman saw his insta flooded with their posts and Navya's dm's were filled with questions. They looked at each other and laughed at the rumors.

"Chalo 4 days main match hain tumhara, uspe focus karte hain" Lakhwinder said and everyone left to bed after a small chat
