NINE

EVERYONE IN THE hotel room was awake, but they were all doing their own things. It was early in the morning since someone forgot to turn off their alarm and everyone woke up, so now they were all awake except Dakota who went back to sleep.

"What time was your guys' meeting at that cafรจ?" Leena asked, turning to Walker and Hailey who were sat next to each other on the sofa and watching RWE vlogs together on Walkers computer.

"Around 9:00 or 9:30." Hailey said, looking at Cam and Nelson arguing.

"Its 9:30." Walker corrected, then chuckling at something Nelson said.

"You guys better get ready, then. It's almost 9:00." Leena said, causing Walker and Hailey to jump at the information and close the computer.

"Shit, I gotta do my hair, get dressed, makeup, Laci and Leena, can you pick out a basic outfit?" Hailey stressed, opening her drawers.

"Laci, pick out Hailey's outfit and Leena should pick out mine." Walker suggested, opening the bathroom door and following Hailey in there.

"Yeah, sure!" Leena yelled as the door shut automatically, then the sink turned on.

"That looked wrong." Laci chuckled, then hearing something fall on the floor.

"Really wrong." Leena laughed, then opening Walkers outfit drawers.

Meanwhile, Hailey was brushing her hair while Walker desperately brushed his teeth.

"Ow." Walker said, his voice bubbling because of the toothpaste filling his mouth.

"What'd you do?" Hailey asked as she parted her hair down the middle.

"Are my gums bleeding?" Walker asked after he spit the toothpaste out of his mouth and opened wide like he was at a doctors appointment.

"Yeah, give me a sec." Hailey replied as she grabbed toilet paper. She then grabbed Walkers chin and yanked his bottom lip, putting the toilet paper on the place his gum was bleeding and letting go of his bottom lip.

"Thanks." Walker said awkwardly and muffled because of the toilet paper in his mouth.

"Don't talk, it'll fall out." Hailey said as she put the brush down, then grabbing her makeup bag.

WALKER AND HAILEY were finally all ready, but they were matching against their will because Leena and Laci pointed it out.

"I'm gonna get you back for this." Hailey said as she grabbed her phone and airpods off the table, having no time.

"Sure you will." Laci laughed, pushing her out the door softly.

"Bye, love you guys." Leena said and shut the door behind them, grinning widely after the door shut.

"Whatever, we look cool." Walker smiled, messing with his hair as she walked down the hotel hallway to the elevator.

"Leave it alone," Hailey pushed his hands down, then fixing it for him. "You look okay."

"I'm gonna mess it up again just so your aware." Walker warned, pressing a button so the elevator will come.

"I'm not that dumb." Hailey nodded in acceptance, pursing her lips as she looked at Walkers hand extend and then pull it back.

"Good." Walker smiled warmly, his eyes squinting as his white teeth are displayed through his chapped lips.

"Walker, do you used chapstick?" Hailey chuckled as she stepped into the empty elevator.

"Not really, I didn't think I ever really needed it." Walker shook his head.

Hailey sighed, reaching into her pocket for the mini thing of vaseline that was for travel and handed it to Walker, "You do, Walk."

"Oh." Walker frowned, grabbing the vaseline and opening it, putting his finger in there and then rubbing the vaseline on his red lips.

"Good." Hailey grinned with a slight giggle as she saw how hurt he looked from her comment about his lips.

"Why is it bad to have chapped lips?" Walker asked, handing Hailey her vaseline back.

"I don't really know, but I hate it. Also, imagine kissing someone and they say 'ew, your lips make kissing uncomfortable because of how chapped they are'. I'd feel insecure after that." Hailey explained, shoving the vaseline into her back jean pocket.

"Like I'm kissing anyone." Walker rolled his eyes as the elevator stops at another floor to pick someone else up.

"What if you have to in the movie? Better prepare yourself." Hailey said as she stepped to the side more so the family could get in.

"Thank you." the mother spoke, holding onto her daughters hand and her husband had a toddler clinged to his side.

"No problem." Hailey nodded, pressing her arm against the wall beside her as Walker presses his arm to Hailey's other arm.

The parents looked similar to Hailey and Walker, which made Walker think, but he regretted thinking it.

Is that what it would look like if Hailey and I had kids? We'd be so adorable together. Family trips, both of us having fun with the kids, right? Wait, no. I can't think that, we're best friends. But... nahh. Stop before you get delusional.

He shook his head and stopped himself, then they arrived at the bottom floor, where Hailey and Walker got off.

"That man looked so much like you, Walker." Hailey pointed out after they were far enough that the family couldn't have heard her.

"For real, his curls were exact. We both even looked a little ginger under certain lighting." Walker agreed, chuckling at his own ginger comment.

"You are ginger." Hailey shook her head as she walked out the hotel doors, checking the uber drivers text messages and seeing if they're here yet.

"I'm not ginger, that's just a stupid rumor." Walker groaned, getting annoyed at the comment that he literally started.

"Oh, sure." Hailey chuckled, putting her phone in her pocket.

"Is the uber here yet?" Walker asked, changing the subject before he got super annoyed and made everyone else at the breakfast mad.

"They said they're five minutes away, so we've gotta wait for a hot minute." Hailey replied, playing with her bracelets as she looked down at her shoes.

"Where'd you get those bracelets?" Walker asked, peeking over her shoulder to ask.

"This one I made, this one is pura vida, this is from when you and me made bracelets when we were, like, 10, and this one I made, too." Hailey said, getting excited as she pointed to the bracelets on her wrist. One the other wrist was just a hair tie, so she left that one out.

"You still have those bracelets?" Walker questioned, touching the bracelet that she said they made together.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I?" Hailey asked, looking up and making eye contact with Walker. They stared into each others eyes, but nothing was awkward. It was the tension that was getting to Hailey, and she didn't do well with eye contact. He leaned in slowly, but Hailey jumped back when her phone dinged.

"Is the uber here?" Walker immediately asked, pulling away and looking straight foward.

"Yeah, there he is." Hailey nodded, pointing to a nice car.

"Alright, cafรจ we go." Walker nodded, walking next to Hailey to the car.
