FIVE

DINNER WAS FINISHED, leading to everyone about to watch the football game on the TV. Hailey was about to sit on the couch until a hand grabbed her wrist, pulling her to the front door.

"Okay, calm down." Hailey said awkwardly, then Walker opened the door to the outside and dragged Hailey out, then shutting the door behind him. It was kinda chilly, so Hailey crossed her arms.

"Look, I'm sorry." Walker said, avoiding eye contact the best he could.

"When you speak, you should look into my eyes, Scobell." Hailey teased, leaning over a bit to look at Walkers face.

"Hailey, stop. Can you take me serious, I can't live with this guilt that I threw our friendship away like that." Walker complained, looking at Hailey's face.

"Guilt, what? I thought you didn't care, I mean, you have other friends. Don't you have a girlfriend?" Hailey asked, pulling on her shirt sleeve.

"No, I don't have a girl." Walker said in an embarrassed tone, blush forming on his ears.

"I could've sworn you were dating Rebecca Allport." Hailey teased. She was one of Walkers "opps", as he'd call them.

"Well, I'm not. But I seriously want to be your friend again, I don't know how I've gotten this far without you, but I think it was because I was forced to be around you." Walker rambled, speaking with his hands.

"I think you're going good by yourself. I'm proud of you, but from afar. I mean, you talk to all of them girls and have a bunch of new friends, new clothing style, I mean, are you still Walker Scobell or Salker Wobell?" Hailey joked, smirking at it.

"I'm Walker Scobell, bro. Can you just listen?" Walker complained, his hands slapping the side of his thighs.

"I'm listening, Walker." Hailey said. His face turned serious, and he looked Hailey straight in the eyes.

"I literally need you so bad. Like, I can't stand not being your friend or your anything. You were my best friend and I threw it away for something stupid." Walker explained, making eye contact and not looking away for one second.

"Uh..." Hailey trailed awkwardly, but Walker continued.

"And don't think I don't notice how much you've changed, I mean, it makes me need you more. I wanna grow with you, continue being your best friend, and just overall still be able to talk to you." Walker yapped, his face turning kinda red.

"Walker,"

"And I feel so much guilt for being so selfish, unfriending you because of my own dumb feelings, I mean, what about you? You were one of the sweetest people in my life, and I seriously just let you leave?" Walker continued.

"Dude,"

"I don't understand how you've been so well lately, but I genuinely don't know what the hell I'm doing with my life. And that's because I don't have you." Walker added.

Hailey sighed and walked up to Walker, embracing him in a hug and slinging her arms around his shoulders.

"I maybe have missed you just a little, and I did feel completely horrible when we stopped being friends, and I've thought about it everyday since. So, yes, we can be friends again. You'll have to move up to the best friends." Hailey explained.

Walker smiled, wrapping his arms around Hailey's waist, rocking back and forth as they hug.

"I've missed you more, though." Walker said into Hailey's shoulder.

"Okay, let's go back inside." Hailey said. The two went inside, then watched the football game next to each other and Walker next to Tanner on the other side aswell as Dakota on Hailey's other side.

HAILEY WOKE UP THE NEXT day late in the day, around eleven thirty o'clock. At two in the afternoon, Dakota, her, and Laci were boarding their plane, about to go on the movie set.

(sorry ik the timeline is messed up ๐Ÿ˜ฃ)

"Come on, get up, I wanna leave this house, please." Dakota said as he barged into her room.

"Fine." Hailey said with a raspy morning voice, sitting herself up with her arms holding her up.

"How does your hair still look normal after you just woke up?" Dakota asked as he opened Hailey's blinds.

"How long have you been awake?" Hailey asked as she looked around her room, dumbfounded.

"Uh, thirty minutes, I think. It's, like, eleven thirty, right?" Dakota asked and sat down on the edge of Hailey's bed.

Hailey tapped her phone, seeing the dark screen light up a little and the clock saying that it was eleven thirty-two, "Yup."

"Good. You don't really need to get ready, but I know damn well you didn't finish packing." Dakota chuckled.

"I forgot some things." Hailey shrugged.

"I'll help you pack, just throw on something comfy so you're not wearing, like, jeans on a plane when you have to sleep." Dakota said, laying down.

Hailey hopped up, slipping her shorts back on discreetly, hoping Dakota wouldn't see.

"Ew, you sleep without pants on?" Dakota questioned, seeing Hailey pull up her pants.

"You do, that's kinda uncomfortable." Hailey responded, going over to her dresser to grab her clothes.

"Whatever, I have a question." Dakota rolled his eyes playfully, laying back on Hailey's bed.

"Which is?" Hailey replied.

"For the seating thing, they're not assigned, right?"

"Uhm, I don't think so, no." Hailey said, then packing her last outfit pair.

"You should let me sit with Laci." Dakota said confidently, more of a demand than a question.

"Wait, then who'd I sit with?" Hailey tilted her head to the side a little.

"See, that's the thing," Dakota made a face that seemed concerned, "You'd sit with Walker."

Hailey shrugged her shoulders, "Eh, okay."

"That won't bother you?" Dakota tilted his head.

"I mean, you really like Laci. It's not like I have to talk to Walker, I can take a nap." Hailey nodded.

"Oh, I love you. Thank you so much." Dakota smiled.

"But you owe me." Hailey pointed to him.

"I'll get you Dr. Pepper and I'll buy you food." Dakota said.

"Okay, get out so I can finish getting ready so then we can pick up Laci and then go to the airport." Hailey turned away.

"Okay, see you." Dakota replied, walking out of Hailey's bedroom.
