HAILEY, DAKOTA, AND Laci arrived at the airport in their uber. Hailey wished that she had parents that could come with them, but her parents were asses and Laci's couldn't come because of their jobs, so they had to get on the plane with Walkers parents since they lived in the same area.
"It's so hot outside and sunny today." Laci said, brushing off her nike shorts.
"I know, I was sweating in that uber." Dakota added, running his hands through his hair.
"Come on, I see Leena." Hailey said.
"Ooh, Leenas so nice." Laci said as she followed from beside Dakota.
"Hey, Leena," Hailey smiled. "Where's Mrs. Heather and Mr. Pete?"
"Over there with Tanner and Walker. Why didn't your parents come?" Leena replied.
"Uh, they were busy." Dakota said, setting his suitcase down.
"Oh," Leena sighed. "Has everything been okay with them, they've been weird lately, your parents?"
"They've just been off since our, um, grandpa died." Dakota said, receiving a slap on his arm from Hailey.
"Oh, really?" Leena said softly.
"Yeah, but me and Hailey haven't met him. He lives in..."
"Minnesota." Laci said for him since Dakota trailed away.
"I'll be sure to talk to them about it and hope their okay." Leena nodded.
"Nope, the subject's sensitive to them, you don't wanna do that." Hailey stopped her.
"Hey, it's the Havens." Tanner said and pointed to them from where he stood with his family.
"Hi Tan." Dakota grinned, walking over there and holding out his hand to dap him up.
"Kota, what's up." Tanner said, dapping him up and the clap making the people around them jump.
"Woah." Laci chuckled.
"Come on kids, get on the plane." Heather said, then they all followed her out of the little waiting area to get in the line for the plane.
"Hi, Mrs. Heather." Hailey smiled at Heather, standing next to her.
"It's a shame your mom and dad couldn't come. We could've went out." Heather frowned to her.
"I know. They had some, uh, work stuff. They were too busy. I invited them, but it wouldn't work out." Hailey lied. She didn't even think about inviting them.
"Ooh, I hate work stuff. It really gets on my nerves. I hope that the work stuff will die down soon, maybe they can fly down." Heather added.
"Hope so." Hailey narrowed her eyes, biting the inside of her cheek.
"So, you and Walker made up?" Heather spoke up as they walked into the connecting thing to the plane.
"Uh, yeah." Hailey smiled immediately, stopping herself from the cheek biting.
"That's nice. I mean, you guys used to be the best duo, I missed that. He really liked you." Heather grinned.
"Hey, mama." Walker said and walked in between Hailey and Heather.
"Oh, Walker, we were just talking about you." Heather said, stepping infront of the two as they finally stepped on the plane.
"How?" Walker said in a concerned voice.
"Hailey and you. How I've just missed you guys, that's all." Heather said.
"Yeah, don't be too full of yourself." Hailey chuckled.
"You can't be talking." Walker pointed to her and stepped on the plane behind his mom.
"Oh, shut up." Hailey leaned her head back, her eyes just looking at the ceiling now.
"Make me." Walker chuckled and sat in his seat on the aisle. Hailey sat in the seat beside him, the window seat.
Hailey blushed at the two words that left his mouth, then smacking his arm.
"Dude, why'd you get in first?" Hailey raises an eyebrow, staring at him sitting down.
"First of all, don't call me dude. Second of all, because I was in front of you, duh." Walker replied.
"Dude." Hailey tilted her head at him, then rolling her eyes as she climbed over his legs.
"Don't call me dude, I'll trip you." Walker said as Hailey then sat down.
"Dude, don't trip me, dude. I'm really sorry, dude." Hailey laughed.
"Hailey!" Walker whisper-yelled.
"Dude!" Hailey said in the same tone.
Walker smacked his hand on Hailey's lips, keeping it on there as she stayed silent.
"Dude." Hailey said muffled.
"Shut up," Walker pleaded. Hailey licked his hand, making Walker immediately pull it away. "Gross!"
"Make me." Hailey copied, leaning back in her seat comfortably.
"You want me to?" Walker said flirtatiously.
"You can try." Hailey said, opening the window thingy.
"Okay." Walker said, leaning back in his chair aswell. Hailey rolled her eyes when Walker didn't do anything.
Until he stuck something down her throat.
"Shit!" Hailey exclaimed, spitting in into her hand. It was some sort of gummy.
"Gummy melatonin." Walker shrugged.
"Fuck you, actually." Hailey chuckled, throwing the gummy on him, landing in his lap. Walker shrugged again and picked the gummy up, shoving it in his mouth.
"Nice."
"Nasty. You're fucking nasty, deadass."
Walker swallowed the gummy, then offered Hailey another one. She rolled her eyes once again, then taking it and eating it.
"Put the gummies away." Dakota said, him sitting in the seat next to them.
"Shut up, Dakota." Hailey said, then taking her phone out and putting it on airplane mode.
"Shut up, Hailey." Dakota mocked.
"I'm going to sleep after we take off." Laci said, smacking Dakota's arm.
"Real." Hailey smiled.
"We ask that you please fasten your seatbelts at this time and secure all baggage underneath your seat or in the overhead compartments. We also ask that your seats and table trays are in the upright position for take-off. Please turn off all personal electronic devices, including laptops and cell phones." The announcement spoke, then Hailey put on her seatbelt.
"Whats a seatbelt gonna do if we crash." Walker complained, buckling his seatbelt.
"Maybe it could save you." Hailey said, putting her hand on his shoulder inspirationally.
"Nuh uh." Walker chuckled.
"Yuh huh." Hailey said.
"Nuh uh." Walker spoke again.
"Look out the window." Hailey pointed as she saw the plane lifting off the ground as it shakes a little.
"Cool." Walker smiled, leaning over Hailey's shoulder.
Time passed until they could finally take electronics out again and other stuff. Hailey and Walker both ended up falling asleep, Hailey accidentally leaning on Walker's shoulder as his head laid on her head.
"Woah, look at them." Dakota gasped, pointing at Hailey and Walker.
"Holy shit." Laci narrowed her eyes in surprise, staring at them.
"Well, let's cherish this." Dakota said and took a picture, immediately posting the picture on his story.
"The decoration is a lot, but okay." Laci chuckled, staring down at the picture.
"Shush, I'm like a mom, sharing every detail. Why you gotta comment on it, dawg?" Dakota chuckled.
"Oh, okay, buddy." Laci rolled her eyes as she laughed at him.
"Deadass." Dakota frowned.
"Nah." Laci shook her head.
"I'm tired too, I'm goin' to bed, homie. Night." Dakota spoke, reclining his airport seat. They were in first class, so the seats were bougie.
"Night, home dog." Laci chuckled, then Dakota gave her a straight faced look that said "it wasn't funny," and then turned over as he fell asleep.
