Chapter 13

22:51, 21 July 2017

A/N: You guys asked for more so here it is! Also warning strong language is used, t.w I guess for the word. Just as an aside I do support gay marriage and believe love is love. There with be a warning before the word and all!~Nightmare

Sam's biggest fears were coming true as he felt himself fall even further for Colby, his lips still buzzing from their kiss even though it was hours after and he was at home supposedly sleeping. Sam was far too awake and felt as if he was Alice in a new twisted tale of "Alice in wonderland", him staring as Alice chasing the white rabbit known as Colby. Deep down he knew Colby could cause a lot of trouble for him but he here was tumbling down the rabbit hole. His world he once knew seemed to flip around all because of a kiss and a certain brown haired beauty. Sam could close his eyes and feel the L word try and force its way onto his lips as he pictured telling Colby how he really felt but pushed it down. He wasn't ready, it was like love was the red queen, as soon as the word passes his lips and hits wonderland's air a voice will scream, "OFF WITH HIS HEAD!" and Sam liked his head. He liked his safety, his certainty and love was anything but that. Love to Sam was a roller coaster without seat belts or walking in front of firing guns blind and hoping you don't get shot. Sam grew up as nothing more than a shadow, a shadow thought friends were dangerous, but love? Love was deadly and Sam could already feel his breath leaving his body, he was in love with the boy he swore he would hate and boy he did not regret a thing.

Colby kept biting his lip as he laid in his bed, hours after the kiss and he still could taste Sam. He tasted like milk and honey, smooth and perfect. Colby knew he was in trouble of exposing his secret as soon as Sam pulled away. He almost spilled and whispered, "I love you." Which he changed half way through to adore. It only made him want to go back and change it to love when Sam whispered back, "I adore you too." If only he would have said love, would Sam have said love back too? The messy haired boy would never know now causing his brain to dream up of every possible situation. In one Sam said it back and it ended just like every Disney Princess movie. In another Sam ran to never look back leaving Colby to die alone. Another one just involved Sam fainting and so on. His brain ran in circles as his fingers absentmindedly rubbed his lips, already longing to feel Sam's lips on his own once again. Colby had fallen and he only hoped Sam would be their to catch him because he surely did not prepare his heart with a parachute.

Sam's mother sat downstairs unaware of her son's exact thoughts but knew the gist of them. The moment Sam walked in the house, a dazed look in his eyes and a goofy smile spread on her lips she knew. She once looked the exact same way when coming home from a date with his father. Sam was in love with THE one, she only hoped that it remained that way. As much as Ms. Golbach believed in soul mates and love she also believed it was possible to lose a soul mate by falling out of love. She had loved Sam's father with all her heart, she still does to this day but her husband no longer loved her. They were soul mates but they weren't and Ms. Golbach feared the worst for her son. He fell too fast, what if their love dies just as fast too?

Colby's mother sat outside of her son's room her head in her hands, tears sliding down her cheeks as she thought of how her little boy was all grown up. It has always been just her and Colby her husband showing up just once in a while to tell them they needed to move locations for his job. Mrs. Brock knew Colby was growing and no longer the little toddler he used to be but god she hated it. She wanted the Colby who couldn't tie his shoes and pronounce his own name right back. She loved her son, she did but it broke Mrs. Brock's heart to know he would no longer need her, he had love on his mind and was living his life. Mrs. Brock was proud and deep down knew he needed to grow up, hoping Sam was good enough to take care of him. She only hoped that she wouldn't have to pick up any pieces of her son's heart while Sam was around because her grown son fell too fast, and what if his lover's love dies just as fast too?

(Strong word used in this passage, it is italicized if you want to skip it)

The crickets sang into the early morn as the two lovers laid in separate beds, their minds whirling as their heavy eye lids soon took over. Their dreams consisting of far away lands and love. Their mothers sat blank faced, worry streaming through them but that is what mother's do, they worry out of maternal love. Far away unaware a boy sat on top of the hill that once hosted the picnic that started it all. His hair gleamed in the early morning, dark eye bags hung below his stormy eyes showing he hadn't slept at all that night. The morning Kansas air greeted him with a kiss to his cheeks as his wrapped up body shivered. In his left hand sat a digital camera, his right hand turning it on with giddiness of a five year old. Quickly the boy started going through the pictures landing on the moment where Sam and Colby kissed, even with just the picture the boy could feel the love radiating through it and he hated it. Matt Rangers may have been dumb but he could see that the boys had feelings for each other from the moment he started following Colby around. Hatred swirled in his eyes as he stared at the picture he just happened to capture, sure that whole school would love to see the two faggots and all of their 'love' if you could even call it that, it was gross and Matt Rangers knew he had to destroy it. That's what he does best after all, he destroys things.

The blonde and brunette slept as the sun peaked up the hills unaware of the storm that was getting stirred up, but the moon and the sea can handle anything, right?
