Chapter 28

They had lots of fun , Lucas fell asleep during the Play as it was too cheesy for him .... Athy almost fell into the river in excitement for which Lucas scolded her...., the evening was filled with laughter ,  dancing around the firewoods , they both got lost in their own world .

After everything was over ,  they took a leisure walk in the streets of obelia , hands intertwined , they took a break in a park where she  fell asleep so Lucas teleported to her room and flinched when he felt another presence

He turned to see a pair of  blue jeweled eyes glaring daggers at him sitting on the couch .

" Where the hell did you take my daughter all day ??!" He asked  and Lucas gave him a sheepish smile as he laid her down on the bed and nonchalantly sat beside him on the couch .

He told him about their date and claude himself was surprised cause it feels like he is hearing his teenage son lamenting over his hardships to him .

He complained about how athy's friends tortured him and he had to endure them only for athy and some perks of other events and he listened to him silently .

" You had fun huh " he concluded and Lucas nodded a yes

Claude got up and paused turning back

" Do You always come to her room like this ?!" He asked and Lucas jolted up from the couch .

" No no.. as you see father ,she fell asleep so I came to put her on bed "  he said with a sheepish smile  and claude glared at him his eyes screaming ' i don't believe in you '

But he let out a big sigh and dragged  Lucas out with him . Lily giggled seeing this and closed the room door.

The day everyone in the obelia waiting for arrived  , the palace was bustling with people , carriages are struggling to get parked as the numbers are just too much , Felix and claude are busier than ever and the  princess palace was in chaos , maids running all over the place trying their almost best to justify the beauty of their goddess like  princess ,

" Waah... This is a masterpiece !!!"

" I am sure lord Lucas would faint from our princess 's beauty !!"

The maids were proud of the results as Athanasia looked breathtakingly beautiful .

They all went silent as they bowed down in respect paying the way for their king

He stood there frozen , stunned as the realisation that his daughter is a carbon copy of the love of his life ...his heart felt heavy

" Huh.. dad." She turned back with a bright smile which slowly erased the heaviness in his chest and filled it with warmth .

" You look beautiful today " he said and everyone become silent. They were shocked of course , they never imagined to witness this scene even in their dreams..athy gave him a warm smile as she approached him and his  eyes wides in shock when she hugged him

" Thank you dad ..you are also handsome today " she said and smiled..he felt his world getting colourful as he patted her head .

" It's not like she is getting married your majesty and even if she did she will always stay with you so don't worry  "  lily said knowing what goes on his head and he smiled a little , nodding a yes to her..

Lucas was in the hall talking to .. no actually trying his best to maintain his composure ..

" Lucas.." he turned to see Felix staring at him with a smile..

" You look handsome today .." he said

" I am  always " he said with a smirk

" Let's go .it's time for the ceremony to start " he said taking Lucas with him .

" You look so princely today Lucas " lily said and Lucas smiled at her.

His eyes widened a little when he saw Athanasia looking like a goddess 

" Hii Lucas..you are so handsome today !!" She said smiling bright..it's enough to fulfill his day ..

When they entered the main hall everyone stared at them in awe...

Everyone realised the importance of the second princess , who is loved  dearly by the emperor . They were greatly confused by how twisted the rumours are ..

All the foreign guests were in awe seeing the stunning couple. Lucas saw his so called family in the crowd staring at him with a perplexed face.

He went silent for a moment deep in thoughts..

" Lucas..are you ok ?!" He turned to hear athy's voice and saw her staring at him concerned .his lips curved into a small smile as he nodded a no..

His thoughts saying ' he doesn't need anyone else in the world when he has his sia'

Claude made every single one stunned by the lavish engagement they have ever seen. Athy scolded him for wasting so much money but he was so happy with a proud smirk.

" Of course I had to show off my only daughter engagement like this.. they dared to ask for your hand in marriage without knowing their places..." He said and athy stared t him surprised..

She doesn't know what to do with her father and boyfriend when both are crazy but deep inside , she  felt happy , she never thought a day would come when she would get a lavish engagement like this ..nor did she dreamed  to get someone like Lucas as her boyfriend .

Everything felt like a dream and she felt too overwhelmed when she stood between two most powerful guys who  would protect her  all her life ...

Once the engagement was over , her friends dragged her to the dancing floor and they had a private party.

Lucas went inside and saw athy standing amidst her friends looking tired but her smile not fading .

" Aren't you guys tired..just head back home will you ?!" He said and they all pouted .

" Why..?! do you feel lonely without our athy lord Lucas ?!" Helena asked and he bluntly nodded a yes making the girls giggle and athy facepalmed herself

" So..give me my fiancee back , she looks tired.. go back all of you " he said and  the girls squeeled  when he carried her in princess style with athy still facepalming .

" Seriously..they will tease me to no end next time we meet.." she said and he smirked.

He gently laid her down on the bed and removed her  heels..she sat up and stared at him with a smile.

" Just lie down and sleep sia.." he said and was about to go out but he paused when she tugged to his sleeve

" Why are in such a hurry..can't yous stay a bit longer..?!!" She asked with puppy eyes . He give up in an instant and sat beside her.

" Actually .. I have something to tell you..I was just wondering whether I should tell you now or later ." Lucas said.

" Huh..what is it..?!" She asked leaning her head on his shoulder.

" Sia..in a week i am heading to the border.." he said in a blank tone..

She sat straight and stared at him surprised . Going to the border means heading to the war .

" Is the war staring already ?!! " She asked and he nodded a yes

" Your father wants to end it quickly once and for all ..this civil war thing is stupid and a waste of time.. so I agreed with  him ." He said

" I see..then dad also..

" No . But he will be busy with paper works for sure..i and that whitey are going." He said and she nodded a yes..

" What..why do you look so gloomy ?!" He asked dnoticing her change in mood

" I obviously can't be happy about this...be careful ok..?!" She said and he chuckled..

No matter how many times he experience this it's still new for him ..no one other than athy would say something like this to him..

" Did you forget I am the owner of black storm..?!" He asked with a proud smirk but she stared at him unimpressed

" I already knew..no matter how strong you are , I can't stop worrying about you.. you always takes everything lightly and..

He sealed her lips with his giving her a deep kiss until she went breathless and tapped his  shoulder For a break.

She gasped sucking in air when he let her go and he smiled brightly at her..

" Sia..I love you.." he said hugging her tightly ..she smiled as she hugged him back and patted his back.
