chapter 27

After the diamond mine was given to me , my schedule became hectic as I had to manage literally everything , dad and Lucas offered their assistance but I wanted to learn everything myself and I did , it was exhausting but I feel proud of myself now .

My business was going well and I am gonna start preparing for my engagement , The ones who are more excited than the bride myself are Lily , dad and Felix .

I Had never seen dad this excited in my life , he is actively preparing for my engagement as one grand ceremony.

I have to select my engagement dress tomorrow with jewels and other things .. I can't believe the month went by just like this .

I gasped for air when he suddenly hugged me from behind and bit my shoulder.

" Lucas " his name left my mouth almost in whisper

" You scared me , I would usually feel your presence,so how and why are you biting me , are you a doggy now ?" I turned back but he silently buried his face on my neck

" Are you ok ?" I asked, caressing his head and he let out a deep sigh slowly looking up .

I get it now.. he is sulking , because of my mine project I had no time for Lucas , we had some tea time and I would ruin it by looking through my business or talking about it . That's why our doggy bit me huh!

" Are you sulking sweetie ?! " I asked cupping his face and he sighed .

" Sorry lucas.. I know i am wrong , forgive me this once , it was my first time dealing something this big so I was nervous and wanted to give it my all , from now until our engagement , we are gonna stick together , I promise " i said and smooched his soft lips he was silent for a while but slowly hugged me and kissed me deeper.

" I am sorry .. hmm.. forgive me please.. " i said acting cute and he clicked my forehead

" Ouch .. what was that for ?! " I asked pouting .

" So you think you can win over me by acting cute all the time ?! " He asked, raising one of his eyebrows. he leaned closer and kissed the spot he flicked..

" Pfft.. you will give in anyways , see, like just now " i said and he chuckled.

" Are you free Tomorrow ? can you stay with me ? " I asked and he nodded a yes

" Tomorrow, I am going to choose my engagement dress so I thought it's good to have you with me " i said and he leaned his forehead on mine.

" Anything for you princess " he said and smiled .

Something glowed in his pant pocket and he took it out with a frown

" Lucas we need you here right now , please.." I heard cabel's voice pleading to him

" Did you ditch your work on him again ?! " I asked and he just averted his gaze ,

" Lucas.. as much as I miss spending time with you , I would feel sad if you are to postpone your works for me "

" It's not a big deal sia , i am currently developing a teleportation device right ? "

" Yeah you told me about it "

" We tested it today and it has some alterations to do " he said .

" You are always amazing Lucas !! How can you causally say finding something amazing like it's nothing ?!! I was so proud of my achievement but I feel like a child compared to you "

" You don't have to compare them , they are totally different , if this works out or not it will be fine since it's just a try but if yours didn't work out for you , you have to lose all the workers , money ,time spent on it , the level of responsibility is different " he said

" If you put it like that , I do feel comforted , " i said and he smiled.

" Then.. i will go , I have to finish it so that we can go on a date tomorrow " he said winking as he disappeared in thin air .

I stood there in daze.. haah.. I miss him already .. i will think of it as punishment for bailing on him .

...The next morning athy got ready in a happy mood , her palace was full of rose scent and the maids were happily talking about how it's been so long since they saw their favourite couple on a date .

When Lucas arrived at the palace , they all gathered and hid behind pillars sneaking a peek at the stunning couple all set to go on a date .

" Where is our first stop ?" Lucas asked as he intertwined their fingers , ready to teleport

" To my dear friend Caty " she said smiling and he stared at her like who the fuck is that ?!

" Tch..you forgot about Catalina ?! My designer friend " she said and he nodded a yes as they teleprted right away

They were Startled by the grandious welcome Caty gave them and invited them inside , after that Lucas can't process what's happening for some time .

He saw all of athy's friends there , the whole boutique screamed ' we are cheery today '

They swarmed at him and talked at the same time and athy giggled staring at her poor boyfriend who find it annoying to interact with a single human at once .

If it was before he would have teleported away from the place or just give them a death glare and make them know thier places

But now , he really want to get along with them as they are friends of the only girl he loves .

" Woah..ladies..please calm down "

he said raising both his hands up in the air .they all become silent after that athy helped them calm down and interacted for a While

Then their attention shifted towards athy which made him feel relieved

They made her wear literally everything Caty prepared exclusively for athy' Her Muse '

Athy was exhausted from trying on all the dresses and the girls fangirling  over her for every single one..Lucas was silent sitting on the corner just admiring his girlfriend in every outfit

" Lord Lucas ..which do you think suit her the best ?". Helena asked

" Does that matter ?! No matter what she wears she would look stunning anyways " he casually shrugged and for the next five minutes the girls teased him until his soul left his body..

" What is your final choice princess ?" Caty asked with a bright smile .

Athy was exhausted from trying out everything and she sat on the couch beside Lucas tired. She turned towards him with puppy eyes for help and sweat formed on his forehead when every ladies in the shop stared at him waiting for his answer .

He never once felt nervous on his life like this , choosing an engagement outfit for his girlfriend is harder than he thought especially when the girl he loves is a literal goddess who would look good  even in rags .

" Shall we go with that dark blue one ?" He asked and she nodded a  yes smiling .

They all praised him for his choice but only he knows he just chose it randomly as athy would look gorgeous in anything .he felt proud of himself for choosing sooner and literally had to pull her apart from her adhesive friends

" Haah..i feel like I lost the year of my life to them , as i thought other than you, all other  girls  are annoying " .

He said as he leaned back on his chair .she fed him her favourite chocolate cake she is savouring and smiled at him .

" Thank you. I know it's hard for you and you hate it ,  still you were friendly with them.. " she said and he smiled a little .

" What to do next ? I am done shopping, now let's do what you want " she said

" That's so nice to hear but I feel pissed that I don't have a plan , that damn device took all my time last night " he said and she smiled bright

" Then , let's watch a play in the theatre next Street , after that let's have lunch in xxx and then let's go boating in the hades river , after that ..let's roam around the market and , I heard they have this small fest in the next town at evening , you know like dancing around the fire , singing .I want to see it , let's do it ,and after dinner , i want to take a long walk with you chatting, let's go back to the palace as late as possible "

She said in a single breath and he stared at  her surprised

" You had it planned for the whole day then why did you ask me ?" He mumbled

" Well, i planned just in case you don't have one , " she said and he stared at her with a blank face .she let out a deep sigh, his Ruby eyes noticed the pink hue spreading to the top of her ears ,makes her look gorgeous in blush

" It's just , it's been so long since we went on a date so I got excited , I can't sleep all night and i planned what and all i wanted to do with you " she said looking down fidgeting her fingers

He buried his face  on the table.

" Pfft..really..you will be the death of me sia ." He mumbled

" Huh..did  you say something ?" She asked and he smiled at her ,

" Let's go ..what is that play about ?!" He asked as they left the cafe
