This takes place on the weekend:)

Marcy looked at her reflection in the mirror. She was wearing a nice dress to go out to dinner with her two friends. They had planned this ever since their last date and she had never been more exited for something.

She didn't know if Sasha or Anne considered it a date, but she liked to think that it was. It made her happy to think about it like that.

Marcy smiled at the way she looked.

'I look so pretty in this outfit.'

It warmed Marcy's heart to finally feel confident in her looks after being insecure about it for such a long time.

"Guys!" Marcy's voice sang out. "I'm ready now!"

Emerging from the small staircase and into the Boonchuy families living room, Marcy stood with a confident and proud radiance. The dress she was wearing was white and kinda gave off fairy princess vibes. The kind of clothes Marcy liked, it gave her that feeling where she'd think about the times when she was young and wearing clothes like that made her happy that she could cherish a bit of her childhood.

It was a summer tie fairy princess dress with sparkly sequins and had short mesh sweet girl puff sleeves. Her short black bangs were tied behind her ear with a white flower. Marcy always looked so beautiful with flowers in her hair, it made her want to wear them more to get the approval from her crushes.

Anne pursed her lips together the longer her gaze lingered at the cheerful girls outfit. A conflicting storm of emotions in her heart as she looked up approvingly into Marcy's expectant eyes. The girl then spun around, the long dress lifting enough that Anne caught a solid glimpse at short white heels she was wearing hiding underneath.

The whole ensemble was a step up from the clothes Marcy usually wore, a sort of magnificence she'd expect from someone performing in a school play, or the tooth fairy in a random children's show.

"Sooo.. what do you think? Do you like it?" Marcy asked.

"Y-yeah," Sasha croaked out, barely polite.

Sasha didn't know what to say, so she kept side-eyeing Anne on advice for what to say. It was shocking, Marcy looked beautiful in the eyes of the two girls. Sasha had always seen Marcy as beautiful, ever since they were younger. First it started out as cute, then pretty, then beautiful, and now she's drop dead gorgeous! It wasn't anything new for Sasha to be admiring Marcy's looks, but she had never seen Marcy's beauty being presented in different ways so it's kinda shocking.

Anne's finger twitched on the table, all too ready to reach for her collar again. A war waged in the flustered girls mind, one part fighting herself because of the fact that she didn't know what to say, and the other on how stunningly attractive Marcy looked wearing the dress. Perhaps in being so different from her usual attire, it added even more allure?

"I'm glad!" Marcy giggled, beaming a wide and earnest smile. "I picked it out just for you guys!"

Anne wore golden glasses and a black and white suit with her hair down. Her big curls spread beautifully and elegantly across her face, nothing anyone could ever take their eyes off.

Sasha was wearing a short sleeve backless floral print vintage Midi dress. She was wearing glasses as well as Anne, hers were just white.

Anne looked over at Sasha, who was in her own little world. Anne didn't know what she was thinking about but if Anne were the one zoned out she'd be thinking about how beautiful Marcy looked in that dress.

'God she looks adorable. My face feels hot, I bet if I could see myself my face would be red and I'd have smoke coming from my ears. This is how Marcy dresses? The three of us are always busy with school or parents so we never really have the chance to dress up for anything but this is how she dresses? If I could rate it from one to ten I'd rate it one mil-'

A brief lapse in awareness meant she never saw the excited girl approaching until she felt arms wrapped around her neck and Marcy's cheek squished against her own. Sasha sputtered and pulled away startling embrace. "Ey, ey, Marcy?!" she sputtered, only to be drawn back in sideways.

"You look so happy!" Marcy said, like a dog waiting to be let outside.

"Huh!?" Sasha flushed even more and wormed her way out of Marcy's embrace. The scent of peaches and Marcyโ€“herself sharp and sense awakening, hung about her nose, faint, yet distinct as a perfume might be. She fished in her pocket for the cloth she kept for the glasses she was wearing and cleaned them, even though they were fine. "I'm just excited, that's all."

"Me too! You guys are the only people I've ever been out to dinner with!" Marcy said.

Despite looking away, the flustered blonde still found Marcy's cute face in the corner of her eye. "Yeah." she muttered under her breath. "Are you two ready to go?"

Sasha stepped beside her and gently grabbed onto her arm. Anne stepped to the opposite side of Sasha and grabbed onto Marcy's unoccupied arm, both of them on each side holding onto her. Marcy smiled and made that tiny excited noise she usually made when she was happy, eyes wide and warm. "Yes!"

"Yeah dude, I'm ready!" Anne said.

They stepped outside, and Anne got out her keys to lock the door. It took a few seconds with how her hand shook due to being nervous and flustered. "Ah, well," she said, stuffing them into her pocket. "Shall we?"

Arm and arm, the three of them walked down and out of the Boonchuy home and to the fancy restaurant they all had in mind.

"Mhm, following my wives...- I MEAN FRIENDS!" Marcy said

...

"Please enjoy yourselves." The front-house attendant said. Sasha and Anne slid into the black leather booth. Marcy was sitting on the same seat as the both of them. It was a little squished but it was way better than her sitting across from them by herself. Besides, Marcy doesn't like being alone. And would have been awkward if there was only one person sitting on the opposite side of them. The privacy flap fell as the front-house attendant departed, leaving three menus on the table.

"Oh wow." Marcy breathed, tracing a gloved finger across the table. A camphor-wood outer frame contained an inner strip of glued-together rock and pebble, which itself surrounded a black-granite surface. Sasha and Anne, knowing they shouldn't encourage Marcy's curious childish behavior, also couldn't help touching the table top. Every inch of it was perfectly smooth thanks to a glossy, see-through sealant. "It's different from all the others!"

"Yeah, it is." Sasha answered absent mindedly. Ehh? The website said it was high class, but this is kinda much? The black stone and wood frame motif felt a bit like modern-versus-traditional. Maybe it was a kind of new, trendy fashion, though she wasn't certain if it was working. If nothing else, it was definitely a step up from the restaurant they had eaten at before on their previous date."The seats are cushiony too!" Marcy remarked, bouncing up and down.

Anne grinned at Marcy in adoration. "Hey don't fidget so much love, we're in public." She chuckled.

"Oh! Right, sorry." The girl stopped and smiled shyly, scratching at her cheek while blushing from the nickname

Sasha then looked to the single page, overly large menus for safety. Sheโ€“not hurriedly but faster than neededโ€“retrieved hers and handed the other to the other two girls. "Let's take a look before the waiter arrives."

The slick, smooth paper menu proved easy on the eyes, with its clear, black font almost looking hand-painted rather than printed. Yet, as its comfortable not-Marcy's-cute-face settled on her mind, she pulled out her wallet.

She knew, at least in theory, how pricey this dinner was going to be. I mean, it wasn't really a problem. Ever since she left her parents house she still had money from her weekly allowance. She never really spent it on anything considering her parents always wasted their own money on getting her things so she basically had everything. She didn't really need to spend the money they gave her.

They gave her about a thousand dollars even though she never really did anything to earn it.

I'd say she made about... sixteen thousand..?

Yeah, that's a lot.

"Uhhh....Sasha?" Anne's hesitant voice made the blonde lower her menu. "Are you sure we should eat here? It's kind of ... expensive."

Whatever second thoughts Sasha had on the matter vanished when she saw Anne's face. It was true, they both knew it, but still, they had planned for this. "That's fine. Just order what you like, ok?"

"Really?"

"H-hey, what's with that skepticism?" Sasha asked, nervously.

"The three of us planned on ordering a lot of food Sasha. You can't waste that much money on us!" The brunette screeched and reached over with her menu. She tried smacking Sasha with it, though the flimsy sheet did little but mess up her neatly done blonde hair. "We can't spend that on dinner!"

"Hey, knock it off! This is just my allowance, I have way more money so I'll be fine! Okay?!"

"Huh?" Anne blinked, taken aback.

"Yeah." Sasha grunted, fixing her glasses. "I just saved up my money for a while that's all. My parents gave me allowance every week and I pretty much got everything I wanted from them so I didn't really need to waste my money on anything. I have a lot of money saved up so we'll be fine if we waste a little bit on this dinner."

"Oh." The brunette slid down and behind. "I was wondering why you didn't have so many new things recently."

Sasha then heard Anne mumble something, but before she could ask what, the privacy flap lifted up.

"Hello!" A young, pretty waitress greeted, setting out plates and spoons as well as forks. "Welcome to the restaurant, I'll be taking your order tonight."

The three of them hurried to put an early order in, caught up talking as they were. Marcy selected some sweet soda, whereas Anne settled on a glass of water . A light order of dumplings followed for an appetizer. But as the waitress left, Sasha couldn't help but notice Anne's leg bouncing up and down from under the table.

Anne had always gotten nervous for events like this, and she just looked jittery in general so it didn't take a genius to find out that she wasn't doing so good.

"Hey Anne, are you okay?" Sasha asked.

"Huh? Me? Oh yeah! Why wouldn't I be..? Uh- who's Anne?" She rambled as she patted her thighs.

"You sure? You don't look like you're doing so good." Sasha insisted.

"Yeah I'm okay, no need to worry about me I'm all good." Anne assured.

Sasha raised one eyebrow in concern before looking back down at the menu she totally wasn't reading. Sasha thought it was best to not mention the leg bouncing under the table. She didn't want to make Anne uncomfortable, nor blow up her spot. She knew how Anne felt, she dealt with it a lot in amphibia, so she didn't want to pressure Anne into telling her anything.

Meanwhile Marcy, side-eyed Anne with a disapproving glint.

She wasn't sure if it was really there, or something inscrutable had come across Marcy's mind. These days she had a pretty good guess when it came by, as Marcy's aura often took on a darker tone like it was right then. "Is there something on my face?" The brunette asked, scratching her cheek nervously.

"No." Marcy answered easily, though her tone left a heavy weight in the air.

"What's with that evil look, then?"

"Hm?" The raven haired girl sat upright, a cheery smile plastering over her face. "Nothing wrong here." She patted her dress, staring off to nowhere in particular.

Squinting at Marcy, Anne's glasses glinted under the ceiling lamp. She sat back, her hands folded together on the table, and stared. Silence fell between the three them, yet in mere moments Anne was already fidgeting way more than before, a trickling of sweat settling on her brow. The seconds dragged by, the only reprieve coming when the waitress arrived with their drinks. Perhaps sensing the atmosphere, she left quickly, not taking their order quite yet.

"Umm ..." Marcy poked her fingers together. "It's just, I don't want to ruin the night."

'Huh?' Anne blinked, breaking the death stare at last. "You know you can talk to me about anything, right, Marcy?"

Anne thought that her words would be reassuring, but Marcy's agitation worsened. Marcy sucked in a breath and sat up straight, the stone cold serious air not even letting Anne's wandering thoughts direct at Marcy's cute face.

Things weren't looking too cute anyways.

Marcy then set her hands on the table, and said, "I think it's best if you didn't hide your feelings from us so much."

Nothing more was said between them, and the rumble of the restaurant slipped in. Such an idea felt utterly alien to her the longer she thought on it, for nothing about it truly seemed off to her.

Yeah, she maybe had some things she didn't feel comfortable talking about, but nothing a little secret couldn't fix? Was she really keeping every little thing away from them?

No, that couldn't be right. Sitting forward, her elbows fell onto the table as Anne clutched her head.

She wasn't keeping that many secrets, right...?

"Hello! Here are your drinks!" the waitress announced, startling them all. She set down each glass, then the dumplings, and smiled. "Have you decided on the rest of your meal?"

"E-eh, yeah, uhm, I'll have ..."

They filled in their orders. Sasha with steak and lobster, Anne on an interesting selection of salmon and eel, and Marcy with creamy garlic shrimp. The waitress thanked them and turned to leave the table.

"So guys, I'm sorry I've been keeping so many things from you guys. I feel very nervous right now." Anne confessed.

Sasha and Marcy looked over at her in shock.

"Huh? I appreciate you opening up to us but what for? I'm not very sure I understand why you're so nervous." Sasha asked.

"It's just that... we've planned this for a while and this seems very special to you guys. I don't want to be a burden and I don't want you guys to worry about me so much on an event that was supposed to be so important. Plus Sasha is spending a lot of money on us and Marcy's kinda scaring me with that look on her face." Anne nervously chuckled.

"Oh... Well I could tell. It's easy to tell that you're feeling a little nervous considering your leg bouncing under the table." Sasha said.

"Yeah I could tell too. I don't want you to feel nervous around us, I want you to feel comfortable telling us these things. But I also don't want you to feel pressured into doing so." Marcy assured.

"We're only thirteen Anne, we have our whole lives ahead of us. I don't want to seem like a guilt-trip or manipulator but I'm just scared. What if something happens and we get split up? I want to grow up with you guys and have adventures just like we did in amphibia forever and ever! I want to get old and we can never grow apart in a place where we can be friends forever and ever! Or something more... I MEAN!- Best friends!"

"For instance, what if one of us tries to protect the others and then passes away from a sacrifice? Or one of us gets stabbed in the chest? Or one of us is dangling from a cliff!?"

"I just don't wanna be alone without you guys."

Anne let out a huge sigh. "I guess you're right. I have no idea what the future holds for us. It's best if we make the most of the time we have now. I'm sorry, I'll never do it again." Anne apologized.

"You're sorry... for keeping a secret?" Sasha raised an eyebrow.

"Anne, everyone has secrets. You should never feel ashamed of yourself for not feeling comfortable talking about certain things, there's things I don't like talking about myself! We aren't angry at you Anne, we understand how you feel." Sasha comforted.

Anne sighed, rubbing her eyes. "I get that now. But if you're saying I'm holding in too many bottled up emotions, maybe I am."

Marcy seemed caught between a smile and a frown, both equally worried looking. "It scares me Anne, when I think about what the future has for us. I don't want to waste our time."

The brunette scratched the back of her head, a rosy red tint to her cheeks. She tried not thinking about it, but that sweet, caring tone of Marcy's voice went right to her head. A pleasant butterfly feeling settled in her belly, one that made her blush all the more harder.

"Yeah, me either." She coughed out behind a fist....In the end, dinner went pleasantly, though Marcy ended up sharing a lot of her soda with Sasha and Anne since she was getting too hyper. None of them really minded.

It was a nice dinner, it was calm, and butterflies stayed in all of their stomachs. Plus there was nice music playing.

The song that was playing was called "Lean On Me."

......

"Quickly Anne!"

"Hey, hey! I'm trying, just, stay still!" Anne argued.

"Ah, put it in already! I'm about to fall over!"

The key slid into the lock and turned. Marcy Anne and Sasha, balancing against each other, stumbled inside, breathing a collective sigh of relief. They shuffled their shoes off, bumping into each other and giggling.

"I don't act like that!" Anne shouted with a touch of mock offence.

"You do! It's like this." Marcy slouched forward, her eyelids drooped, and she started scratching her back. "Nnnghghg..." She grumbled. "Morning Marcy, morning Sasha." Marcy lumbered forward, waving at imaginary phantoms as she made her way to the kitchen. "What would you like for breakfast?"

Sasha sat on the couch, giggling at the ruckus she heard coming from the kitchen.

"I'm not some hag!" Anne yelled, setting their shoes away. She eyed the raven haired girls back, and with a devilish glint, chased after her. The pitter-patter of her sock covered feet made Marcy look around, just in time to yell as Anne smacked into her. "Ah, Sasha, Anne, could we please take a trip to the library?" She echoed in a poor imitation of Marcy's voice. Mocking her back was the perfect way to get her revenge in this game! Why was Marcy beaming so much?

"Eeeek! You're hugging me so affectionately!" Marcy squealed dreamily. Twisting around in the embrace, she wrapped her arms around Anne and squeezed the brunette against her. Anne sighed into the crook of Marcy's neck, deflating in defeat.

Try and try again, her own efforts always backfired this way, but she couldn't truly mind. Her crushes soft, and warm body molded to her invitingly, tempting to be held and snuggled.

She reluctantly pulled away and adjusted her glasses guiltily.

"You have become a lot more friendly recently." Marcy teased, smiling with those dark brown eyes of hers.

The brunette stood upright, coughing into her fist. "Have I?" She asked with faux-wonder. Acting absorbed in such a thought, Anne then walked into the living room proper, beelining for the couch. When she sat down next to Sasha, who was on her phone not paying attention to anything, a relieved sigh escaped, free of the burden of standing and her overly tight belt.

Ouch, I know how that feels.

"Going out to eat is nice, but..." A cutesy squeak inadvertently slipped out as Anne stretched her whole body against the couch. "Staying in is nice too."

"It's different!" Marcy affirmed with an energetic tone, followed by the sound of pouring drinks of hot tea. Anne, laid her head on Sasha's shoulder while she scrolled through instagram on her phone.

"Ahh, restaurants are so noisy, though. That big group came in and I could barely hear myself think ..." Sasha stated, while staring at her phone.

Anne's eyes hovered at Sasha, who was just chilling not paying attention to anything but her phone. She looked so pretty when she was so chill and relaxed. It gave her a familiar feeling in her heart to see Sasha just on her phone while Anne was leaning on her shoulder. It made Anne's heart rate speed up just knowing that Sasha didn't mind.

Anne just being able to sit still and hear her own bodies heart throb again proved relieving. Marcy's presence hovered nearby, and she heard a glass cup be placed on the small table in front of her. "Hm?" She sat upright, staring at the offering confusedly as Marcy sat down next to her.

"Water? You're always so thirsty when you come from outside!" Marcy remarked with a sidelong glance. "I'm just making sure."

Anne stared at the glass for a long minute, then turning her head slowly to regard Marcy. Proper sitting, if a little disheveled from their night out, but beaming that loving smile at her all the same. The very smile that put her so at ease now stroke her heart, a feeling of tightness rising in her chest.

She scratched at her head and adjusted her glasses, but it didn't help not one bit.

"Uh, Anne?" Marcy's large, expressive eyes blinked, and creased with a worry that Anne didn't want her to have. "Are you okay?"

Was she? It was hard to tell, the three of them in such close contact like this... so close together that the both of their natural heat washed over her. It made her hands get clammy, her heart rate speed up, and her face start to feel hot.

No I think she's just gay

She'd ask about that once and got some crack about "Gamers are so superior to never be cold, you're just a normie" or something. All she knew for certain was how dangerously comfortable their presence could be.

More than once her mind had wandered to planting face first into the crook of Marcy's neck and snuggling her all night while Sasha cuddled them on the side.

Anne swallowed her dry mouth and looked away. "Yeah, I'm fine." A soft hand laid on her forehead gently. Anne's face heated up when Marcy came real close to Anne's face and laid her forehead against her own to check her temperature. She jolted a little, her eyes whipping to the side to find Marcy's concern had only grown. "Are you tired? The three of us can go to bed if you'd like."

"No it's fine really. I'm okay, no need to worry so much marbles." Anne assured.

Anne then looked away from Marcy and looked over at Sasha, who was still completely oblivious to the conversation. She then turned her head back to face forward, not saying anything else.

'Okay Anne, don't panic. Just so what you normally do. Find something random to look at to get rid of the tension in the air. Or should I make a move? Should I hold her hand? Should I kiss her on the cheek? No... Sasha would tease me saying that I got bold. She seems really worried about me though, should I do something to assure her that I'm okay?'

Anne sat there in silence for what felt like moments before gently taking hold of Marcy's hand. Marcy let out a small noise of surprise before looking up at Anne. If Sasha saw the look on Marcy's face she'd think it was absolutely priceless, she looked absolutely flabbergasted. I bet she'd even tease the two about it later on too.

Anne then scooter closer to Marcy and wrapped her arms around her neck, pushing her down onto the couch cushion in the process. She gently laid her head onto one side of Marcy's chest.

Sasha felt sudden movement on the couch so she looked up from her phone and turned her head to see what was going on. It was kinda shocking, but she tilted her head and smirked at the scene in front of her.

Sasha then let out a chuckle. "Bold move there scoob."

She scooted over closer to them and lied down on the opposite side of Marcy's chest, staring into Anne's eyes in the process. She then extended her arm and used her thumb to swipe a piece of curled hair out of Anne's face.

Marcy let out a small giggle. "You guys really are affectionate today huh."
