Chapter 10

Joshua pov.

"Do you think we could do this?" Dk asked me as he straddled on my lap. We are both flipping through magazines about relationships, I don't know where he got it but now we are doing this.

We just finished having dinner and he decided to sleep here. I honestly have no problem with it. He then transferred beside me in the couch and cuddled closer to me as if we are slime.

"You mean sky diving?" I asked him then he hesitated.

"Uhmmmm. I'm kinda scared of heights though..." he said with hesitation.

"You know these magazines are just suggestions right? We can do anything you want." I told him and he smiled.

"Then I want a kiss." He suggested and I smirked.

"My kisses are very precious to me. I just can't give them to anyone." I joked and then his smile disappeared.

"Okey then kiss yourself!" He said and sulked. He moved away from me like a drama queen.

"I'm kidding! Come here! Who wouldn't want to kiss you? You're too cute to resist." I said then he smiled as if he was waiting for that compliment. I gave him a little kiss and then he kissed me back then placed his face on my neck.

"Dk.. I have something to ask you. I feel like I can't sleep if I don't ask you this now." He looked confused but mostly scared. He didn't say anything he just looked at me almost terrified.

"I can explain!" He suddenly panicked and I got confused.

"Explain? I just wanted to ask What do you wanted for breakfast?" I told him and he breathed a sigh of relief.

"What did you think I was gonna ask you?" I asked him in curiosity.

"Oh nothing. i'm just not great in the hot seat. I panic a lot too." He said as he scratched his neck shyly. Then I smirked at him.

"You sound like you're having an affair." I joked and he laughed. Not the normal laugh but the awkward one that felt fake but trying to be real. Okey he's acting weird again. I placed my hands on his thighs. Then he panicked.

"Me??? Who would even want to be with me???" He asked nervously. Now he's just talking random things.

"I wanted you.." I said in confusion.

"Yeah but beside you." He said and I looked at him like he's saying things more confusing than playing a game.

"You're just rambling at this point." I said to him and he laughed. We watched movies and ate some midnight snacks as if we didn't have work in the morning.

"Let's order some snacks. I feel a little hungry." I said.

"Still? I can make you ramen if you want." He suggested and I laughed.

"Can you even cook? And besides we don't have the ingredients and I'm too relaxed here to put effort in making it myself." I asked and He stuck his tongue at me.

"Okey I want some brownies too." He said and I smiled.

"Brownies? Right away, let me order." I said as I grabbed my phone from the table. I then suddenly remembered Felix. I mean we dated for a little while in summer camp but he was too young for me. We both wanted to be single again so there was no harm feelings. We still chat from time to time. He has a bakery so I gave him a call as Dk placed his head on my lap. I touched his hair as I dialed the number.

"Hello Felix?" I said and I noticed Dk looking up and listening to the call.

"Nice to hear from you too. I just called to order some of your brownies, I hope you didn't sold out yet." I said.

"Well as a matter of fact I just made a new batch because we ran out. Send me the address and I'll make Hyunjin deliver." He said and I chuckled.

"You treat him like a butler." I joked and He laughed.

"He's a little possessive" Felix whispered and I just chuckled again.

"Should I be worried?" I asked casually.

"Nah.. he's just gonna glare and go home. He's not much of a talker when he's a little upset. And we dated like years ago already, kids that we are." Felix commented and I nodded.

"Yeah. I already sent you the payment. We'll be waiting." I said and he stopped the call.

"You and your brownie guys seems close." Dk commented. I don't think he heard the call but he was just being Dk.

A few minutes later, all of a sudden the doorbell rang. Dk offered to get it but I left him on the couch and told him to stay put.

"Good evening. Thank you." I said as he handed me the box of brownies. Felix was right, he's just gonna glare and go.

"Yey!" He said as he grabbed the box from my hands. He looked so happy.

"Wow and they are warm." He said as he took a bite. His mouth was oozing with chocolate. He eats like a five year old. I grabbed the napkins and wiped some of it off for him. He just smiled and nodded.

"Ofcourse. Felix makes the best brownies." I said and then he stopped eating and then looked at me.

"Oh you know the baker? Are you guys friends?" He asked.

"Uhmmm. We dated for a while but it was just a teenage thing. We weren't really serious." I said and then he placed the brownie from his hands back to the box then his expression changed as if I gave him poison or something.

"You have a habit." He said and then turned on his phone and started scrolling while keeping quiet.

"What habit?" I asked him curiously since he was acting angry again.

"Of befriending your exes. It's not healthy you know." He said as he continued playing with his phone and not looking at me. Even rolled his eyes at me.

"We broke up on good terms. And he's already taken. We were too young. It's not weird being friends with him." I said and then he looked at me then looked back at his phone. Then just as timing picked the right time, Gyu's name popped up the screen.

"Tell me who's that." He suddenly said and I froze. What great timing is this?!?

"It's no one." I said and then he grabbed my phone from me.

"Oh what do we have here? Gyu? Gyu as in your ex boyfriend?" He said and I kept quiet.

"Yeah.. he just sent a meme." I said and he scoffed.

"What?" I asked.

"Just a little weird that you're dating me but your inbox is full of your exes numbers." He said and then turned his back on me.

"Hey. Where is this coming from Dk?" I asked surprised about the sudden turn of event.

"I don't know! But I'm upset and a little jealous. i don't understand how I feel. This is your fault. So you're on time out." He suddenly said.

"Time out?" I asked then all of a sudden he stood up went to my room and locked the door. Okey now what?I then knocked on the door waiting for him to calm down. Just because he's jealous, he can do anything he wants right now?

"Dk... let's both relax and talk this out. We are adults." I said.

"No." He said and I sat beside the door.

"Come on..." I said and then he opened the door a little.

"How many guys have you dated?" He suddenly asked.

"Are we really talking about this now? And with me outside my room??" I asked and chuckled.

"According to Hoshi we are at our getting to know it stage in the relationship. So I think I deserve to know." He said and I chuckled even more. Seriously how did they both got so close in such a short amount of time.

"First of all, Hoshi is weird. And he doesn't date that much. He doesn't know what he's talking about. And second of all, can we talk face to face?" I asked him and he opened the door and finally went out. Still crossing his arms and walking towards the couch.

"Dk, we are dating now. Why are you still talking about my exes. It's you that I am with." I told him and he looked at me.

"You don't understand. You're experienced. I'm not. You dated a lot of guys before me. I can't help but feel like a number for you." He said softly and I felt the sadness in his voice. I sat beside him and gave him a little hug and a kiss on the forehead. He didn't move and just let me.

"Dk. Is that how you really think of me?" I asked him and he looked at me.

"I don't know. I feel so embarrassed." He said as he covered his face with his hands.

"You talk with your exes and even have dinners with them, make plans and even send each other memes like besties. I don't know why and I know I shouldn't feel this way but it's hard not to wonder if I would be temporary too. I mean you wouldn't want an inexperienced boyfriend if I knew better." He said and I chuckled a little.

"I talk to them because we're good buddies. We couldn't work as couples but being worked as being friends. I didn't think it would be a big deal. I mean I like you— no I want you not them. So it doesn't matter if I talk to them, what matters to me is you." I said and then he looked at me and this time he initiated a kiss. It was a small kiss like a peck but it lingered.

"I'm sorry for being too possessive." He suddenly said.

"Don't ever be sorry about that. Jealousy is a pretty hot emotion." I joked at him and he just punched me in the arm.

"Sorry for being too difficult. I just have no idea what I'm feeling." He said and I smiled.

"You know arguing with you is pretty worth it if I get a kiss after" I said and then he chuckled.

"Pervert!" He said and I just laughed at him. How did I get so lucky to have this bipolar boyfriend right here? I just can't expect what he thinks next.

That morning.... we were both going up the elevator. Since we stayed the night, I lent Dk some of my work clothes.

"Oh lala what do we have here? What a coincidence that we all are in this elevator." Hao said as they entered the elevator. Hoshi was trailing behind Hao.

"That shirt looks familiar Dk." HOSHI suddenly commented and Dk ofcourse smiled as always.

"I borrowed from that guy." He whispered but I can totally hear it from where I am standing. Hao just laughed a little and Hoshi was teasing Dk.

"Where is your department right now?" Hoshi asked Dk. I just listened.

"Oh I'm with Joshua till next week." He said happily.

"Oh really? What happened?" Hoshi asked.

"Well the boss called us this morning and told me that I was gonna work under Joshua since one of the directors requested it." Dk said.

"Oh really? How are you so lucky when it comes to assignments. Working with your boyfriend that must be nice." Hoshi commented.

"You guys that's enough." I said as people started riding the elevator with us. I could see from my peripheral view that Hoshi and Dk still continued to talk and laugh at each other. I can't help think about what Dk was talking about that makes Hoshi giggle so much.

Then as soon as it was our floor everyone gave us space to go out. I went directly to the office and Dk followed behind me. Then I closed the door.

"Alright. Now that we work together again, maybe we should have some rules.. if we wanna make this relationship lowkey." I said and he nodded.

"What are you thinking?" He asked.

"Let's start with.. no kissing in the company building." i said and then he looked at me like I said something bad.

"Don't look at me, this is for you too. Do you think people will take it lightly that the boss likes you so much already and now you're dating the next boss?" I bragged and he scoffed.

"Next boss? Aren't we getting a little cocky?" He said as he sat on my chair.

"It's inevitable. And please seat on your desk not mine. People will think I have favorites." I said and he smiled this time.

"But don't you want me to brag about our relationship? And I am your favorite right?" He asked as if he caught me at a tight spot. Which he did by the way.

"You're making this a little harder with your cuteness! I can't think when you're looking at me like that." I said with a little pinch on his cheeks and he chuckled.

"Okey okey I get it. Let's just keep it lowkey. How about I just tell people I'm taken by a really handsome guy but he's really shy. So we are keeping it a secret." He said and I laughed.

"Whatever you want. I just don't want us to have different departments. If people find out we'll be definitely separated." I said and he chuckled.

"Clingy much? You're still my boyfriend if we ever get separated anyway right?" He said and he stood up and went in front of me.

"Yeah but I can't do this.." I said as I kissed him and held his neck to kiss him deep. He smiled at the kiss and I'm just glad I locked the door.

"I think you just broke your first rule." He said and this time I chuckled.

"I thought it would be the easiest to do." I said and he laughed.

"Ok whatever." He winked and then sat on his desk this time. Right on cue, the there was a knock on the door.

"Come in." I said as I unlocked the door and then sat at my own desk.

"Right on time as always, I just wanted to see you both." The boss suddenly entered.

"Good morning sir what happened?" Dk suddenly.

"Yes sir?" I asked him and he seemed really excited.

"It's that time of the month... and when it calls.." he said with anticipation.

"WE ANSWER!!!!" Hao and Hoshi shouted behind our boss. Oh so they planned this news? I found it really predictable but Dk here is very very impressed.

"WHAT's happening ?!?" Dk asked excitedly.

"It's our annual company trip!" He said excitedly.

"Are we doing a kidnapping situation again? Because that's getting a little predictable now." I said and the boss felt so hurt.

"Excuse me that was a one time thing and it took all my time and effort. I am doing better each year. So we're going to......" he said and Hoshi gave him a drum roll.

"We're going to the beach." Hao said nonchalantly.

"Dude you really need to chill sometimes." Hoshi said.

"Hey I participated in our entrance earlier." Hao defended himself and our boss just placed his hands on his head.

"Alright alright but not just any beach.. we are going to... my beach house!" He bragged and Hoshi and Dk cheered! Right on time Kwan entered the room.

"Dad I was just gonna ask for the keys to my car but what is happening here?" He asked as soon as he let himself in my office.

"We're going to THE BEACH HOUSE!!!" Dk said excitedly and Hoshi joined in. I guess Kwan also liked the idea and ended up jumping together with them.

"I'm dating a 5 year old." I mumbled and Hao caught it and laughed.

"What?" Our boss asked amidst the chaos.

"Oh nothing, I said.. Count us in." I said and then he gave me a thumbs up and left.

I guess we're having a trip.
