I carefully placed mouse traps along the desks of the English teachers classroom. Elena was on my left and Caroline was on my right. Bonnie and Tyler stood doing other things. It was senior prank day, a great time for getting back at all the horrible teachers of the school.

The mousetraps were tedious work that took perfection. Elena placed one and it popped. "Careful." I whispered to her.

The door opened and the lights turned on. All the sudden all the mousetraps popped. We looked up to see Matt. "No." I sighed lightly.

"Come on! Seriously? Do you know how long it took for us to set all this up?" Caroline asked frustrated.

"Matt you owe us a room full of mousetraps." I crossed my arms looking at him upset. We spent at least two hours so far on this alone.

"Forgot about senior prank night huh?" Tyler asked looking to him.

"Clearly." Matt let out a soft chuckle.

"How could you forget? We've been waiting for this moment since freshman year." Caroline stated.

"Not to mention I am the queen of pranks." I smiled to him.

"How's that working for you so far?" Tyler joked pointing to all the mouse traps. I pushed him lightly and he laughed.

"Matt if I'm doing this you are doing this." Elena stated looking at him.

"I'm kind of surprised any of you are doing this." Matt replied looking around. He was all sweaty. I could smell him from over here.

"Carolines making us." Bonnie retorted her arms crossed lightly.

"We are about to be seniors. These are the memories that stay with us forever, and if we don't-" Caroline started.

"If we don't create all these memories now then what's the point of it all?" Elena finished, a smile plastered on her face.

"Go ahead and make fun. I don't care." Caroline replied matter of factly.

"You're all lame. And I've got ten more classrooms to prank." Tyler said walking out.

"See you guys." I smiled to them before following Tyler out.

"Why are you following me?" He asked with fake annoyance.

"Please, I'm the master at this. Watch and learn little wolf." I joked as I grabbed some honey and ran towards a classroom.

We pranked a few classrooms together before I split and went to my dad's classroom. I wasn't gonna lie, I was having a hard time dealing with Damon. I tried to call him a few times but he left town without even telling anyone, without telling me. He was being stupid and it hurt. It made me question what he really felt about me.

I was putting honey on the insides of his desk handles and under his desk. I smirked as I put some of the honey in my mouth. I chuckled lightly and heard Elena screaming. I ran down the hall following the sound of her breathing rapidly. I thought at first it might be a prank, but it sounded too nervous still. She was obviously in trouble.

I got to the gym and saw Elena with Stefan in the gym. "Stefan?" I asked looking at him confused when I smelt blood. I saw two students dead on the ground and Elena bleeding. "Elena what the hell is going on?" I asked looking at the timer ticking down.

"When the timers done ticking I have to kill her." He angrily claimed looking from her to me.

"You can fight it Stefan." Elena tried to convince him.

"No I can't! You need to understand that. When the timer hits 0 you need to run." He instructed as Elena shook her head.

"No I won't leave you." She replied lovingly.

"Elena this isn't up for discussion." Stefan replied worried for her. She gave him a pleading look. I looked to the clock and saw ten seconds left.

"He's right. When that timer goes of you're leaving." I said as I looked around with Klaus nowhere in sight. I looked at Stefan. "I'll fight you off as long as I can." Stefan nodded almost breaking a sweat. He was trying to fight it. The timer hit 3. "Elena go!" I yelled at her. Stefan vamped and grabbed onto the bleachers.

"Go!" Stefan yelled. She left and I vamped in front of the door.

Stefan came at me and I could tell he was filled with regret. He tried to punch me but I blocked it. We went back and forth when I knocked him over by kicking his leg with mine. I didn't like having to hurt him. I waited for him to get up and come at me again. He stood and punched my side. I winced and hit back but he blocked it and I kneed him. I threw another punch but he caught my hand. "Keep fighting." He groaned. All I did was let out a grunt and a small squeal trying to pull my hand from his. I heard multiple cracks in my hand and I yelled in agony. He then pushed me against a wall and I fell down. I held my hand cracking all the bones back to where they were supposed to be.

I heard clapping and in walked Klaus. "I admit your fighting was admirable. I'm surprised you lasted so long against him. You're a true warrior." Klaus complimented as he looked at me.

"Why do you need Elena?" I asked not even looking up to him as I caught my breath.

"No, 'thank you?'" He asked with a mischevious smirk. I wanted to slap it off his face.

"You don't deserve a thank you, you piece of shit." I squinted looking at him as I stood up.

"I don't appreciate the language." He walked over to me getting close. He looked away for a moment seeming to hear something else. I was too focused on the pain in my hand to listen. "It seems my ripper is trying to go against my compulsion. Now you are a problem that I can't keep walking around right now, but I do apologize, love. It seems our meetings always end like this." Klaus let out a sigh before grabbing my head and breaking my neck. I fell to the floor unconscious.

I woke up and I didn't know where anyone was or what to do. I listened in and I heard Klaus. "Come on sister. We have a doppelgänger to take care of." I heard as I vamped closer.

"So you're killing her?" I heard another voice who sounded sort of like Rebekah. I mean it couldn't be anyone else.

"No. Taking her to a hospital actually." Klaus replied with a chuckle at the irony. I hoped he kept her alive. I started on my way to the hospital after grabbing some weapons from dad's classroom.

I started running to Mystic Falls hospital when I got there Klaus was choking Damon over a car. "Stop!" I yelled without thinking as Klaus continued to choke him out and turned to me.

"Emma go!" Damon grunted under Klaus' grip.

"Klaus. Don't hurt him." I pleaded as I slowly walked over.

"Well before you so rudely interrupted I was explaining that Stefan wouldn't care if I broke our little deal." Klaus smiled. "So why not, just for funs sake?"

"Please I'll do anything." I replied looking to him then Damon.

"Emma don't." Damon grunted and I could hear the anger. I wasn't going to listen. Yes we had been through a rough patch, but I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I watched him die.

"I'll be your warrior." I offered ignoring Damon. "I'll fight for you if you promise to let them go. Damon and Elena." I tried to compromise. "You said I was a good warrior. I could fight with you, for you, if you just let them go."

He looked at Damon then back to me. "Deal." He smiled as he began to let go.

"Wait. Wait!" Damon tried to breath. "I know about Mikael."

"What do you know about Mikael?" Klaus asked gripping his neck again and I gasped, frightened for his life.

"Just that he knows you're here." Damon answered in a groan because of the choke hold.

"Bluffing." Klaus replied looking at him.

"Katherine and I found him." Damon replied and I suddenly felt jealous that he went on a road trip with evil vamp bitch, Katherine. I noticed Klaus filled with fright. "Consider it leverage. I can help you- if you let her go." Klaus breathed heavily and I wondered how powerful this Mikael was. Klaus threw Damon against a car before grabbing my arm and vamping us away.

We stopped and I looked at him. "I don't even get goodbyes?" I questioned angrily.

"This isn't supposed to be fun for you. We made a deal, you signed up for it. Now stop complaining. We have bigger things to worry about." He explained his last sentence bringing a look of sincere worry into his face.

"Where are we going?" I asked as we walked to a car. If I was to be an eternal servant, I deserved this.

"To make more hybrids." He replied.

"I thought we were running?" I questioned. He was obviously scared of this Mikael person.

"Two birds with one stone love." He replied as he opened the car and I trudged into it.

We got into a car and he began driving. I sat in the front seat hugging my legs as I watched the outside. I couldn't believe I did this. At a time I would only ever do this for one person- my dad. My dad. He didn't know. He didn't know I sacrificed myself for Damon, for Elena.

"Can I have one call?" I asked looking to Klaus.

"This isn't prison love." Klaus replied with a smirk. "Why?" He asked, both of us knowing he was just egging me on.

"Look, I don't know how you grew up, but I grew up with one true person I cared for more than anything, my dad. Now I'm in a car to God knows where and I can't just not tell him. I at least have to tell him not to try and get me." I explained.

"Damon will tell him." Klaus replied as he looked at the road.

"It's not-" I began but quickly stopped myself before I got killed. "He's been through too much. He needs to know that I'm still alive."

"You probably won't be after a week." He responded. "You're starting to get on my last nerve."

"I'll shut up for the rest of the ride." I negotiated.

"Or I can kill you and you'll be quiet without any bargaining." He replied his voice getting deeper with agitation.

"Fine." I replied a little loud with anger, turning out the window. "Deny me of something that doesn't even inconvenience you in the slightest. That's really low, even to you." I faced the window.

I heard a phone click open and looked to see Klaus handing out a phone. "One call." Was all he managed to say, his eyes never leaving the road.

I grabbed the phone and looked at it. I typed in his number and waited for him to pick up. It rung three times before I heard his voice.

"Hello?" He asked as I let out a soft sigh.

"Hey dad, did I wake you?" I questioned just to see if he knew.

"Yeah actually I was sleeping. Thanks for interrupting." He replied with a chuckle.

"Sorry." I replied looking to the trees passing as I got further away from him.

"So what's up? Want to tell me how bad you pranked my room?" He questioned as I let out a soft chuckle. I did prank it pretty bad.

"No. I- something happened." I admitted as I put my finger in my mouth to try and calm down the sadness rolling through me.

"What? Are you okay?" He asked worried.

"Yeah. I think I am at least." I replied knowing Klaus was next to me listening to every word. "At the school things went bad quick. Klaus showed up, Stefan fought me, and Elena got hurt." I listed a few of the things.

"Where are you now? I'll come help you." He explained and I could hear him ruffling through clothes in the background.

"No, no, you can't. That's why I called." I said as my voice trembled slightly. "When I was trying to get Elena, Klaus and Damon were fighting. I made a deal with Klaus so he wouldn't hurt Damon." I explained.

"No, Emmie. What did you do?" He asked. God, he sounded so worried. "Emmaline?" He questioned his voice stern.

"I'm sorry Dad. I didn't mean to leave you but I couldn't let him get hurt and I-" I started a slight whimper in my voice that I couldn't seem to hide.

"Hey don't apologize. It's okay you did the right thing." He replied and I could tell he was emotional. "What do you have to do?"

"I have to work for him, for Klaus." I responded.

"How long?" He questioned.

"I don't know." I replied.

"Will I see you again?" He asked with even more of a shake in his voice.

"I don't know." I replied my voice still shaky. I sighed to calm the shaking, but it wasn't working. "Just I wanted to tell you- don't come for me. Tell Damon too, and Elena. Promise me."

"Emma-" He started.

"Dad you have to promise me." I replied with force as I bit on to my thumb trying to hold back the emotions creeping out.

"I promise." He replied and I knew he meant it. I also knew how much it meant to him all the same. I could hear how broken he was. His daughter was gone, I would be upset too.

"I love you." I managed to say as tears fell and I looked away from the devilish man next to me.

"I love you too Emmie." He replied in the phone. I took the phone from my ear and hung up. I couldn't say goodbye, not now.

I looked at the phone and I felt a tear fall from my eye. I quickly wiped it away and put the phone in the cup holder. I looked to Klaus. His cheek moved slightly but that was all he had. He didn't speak, apologize or brag. Just nothing. I turned away and tried to calm myself. It was hard not knowing when you'd see your family again. It was a mix of anger, sadness, and confusion all in one. As much as I hated it, I couldn't just turn it off. The only way I'd make it out was if I kept it on. I had to hold on to my dad, to my family in order to get through this and hell if I wasn't.
