I woke up and I was being carried. My head hurt so bad. I looked up expecting Damon, since I usually found myself in his arms, but instead I saw Klaus. I looked at him and tried to move from his grip but he caught me before I got down.

"Uh-uh. Stay still we are almost there." He said smirking lightly.

"What did you do to me? Why do you need me?" I asked my head pounding so loud I could hear it.

"I just knocked you out, love. Oh and why I need you." He chuckled lightly. "Well you are twins with Elena because Katerina wanted a back up." He explained as I sighed. It always came back to Katherine.

"Yeah I know." I replied as he looked at me.

"Feisty one." He chuckled. "Her plan didn't go exactly as well planned. So she created you out of magic instead of conception. That means you are one crazy outlier to the plan. You are technically half doppelgänger, but you also are half witch."

"A witch?" I asked confused. "But I've never used magic." I added holding my head. Was this conversation even real.

"Really? Never touched someone and made them feel better? Looked around for something and found it out of nowhere?" He asked as I thought of Rose.

"How can someone be half witch?" I asked confused. I was starting to get uncomfortable with him holding me.

"Doppelgängers occur naturally through humans once every few hundred years. When Katerina tried to disobey natures law, nature must've fought back. Because you come from natures servants you inherit magic from them. You don't retain the exact same look as the doppelgänger, but you are very similar. You defy nature almost completely." He replied with a smirk still present. "Kind of like me."

"So what? Gonna replace Elena with me?" I asked 98% sure I was dying tonight. Why keep my mouth shut when I would be dead anyway.

"No she is a full doppelgänger. She'll have to die. Like I said you are half. You only have one importance to me because of your rare species." He said as I listened. "You are an important part of a spell."

"What spell?" I asked worried. If my headache wasn't killing my brain I would probably be passed out from the insanity that was my life.

"A separation spell." He replied. "I have to sacrifice the doppelgänger. Part of her is in you. I'm taking it out." He replied as I looked at him shocked.

"What? How?" I asked worried.

"Thank you Greta. At least I know I'll still have a dance partner." Klaus smirked as I turned to see a woman. I didn't even realize she was there.

"Oh look. We are here." He chuckled lightly as he put me down on the ground surprisingly gently for someone who just knocked me out.

I sat up and held my head. "Emma? Emma!" I heard yelling as I looked over to see Elena.

"What happened?" She asked worried.

"My head hurts." I replied. Everything was out of focus for me for some reason. I probably had a concussion."Where are we?" I asked looking at Elena.

"In the woods." She responded as I looked around. I saw a circular fire surround me as well as Elena, Jenna, and another woman.

"Jenna?" I asked looking at her.

"He turned me into a vampire." She replied as I looked to her sadly. My dad probably had no idea. She plastered a small smile of reassurance.

"Let's start, shall we?" Klaus asked smirking. His witch smiled and nodded. She went over a cauldron and started talking.

"What happened to you Emma?" Elena asked as she was in the other fire circle. She tried to come over to mine but the flames grew.

"I was going to go see my dad, spend my last moments with him. Then this ass hole grabbed me, hit me upside the head, and carried me here." I replied looking to her.

"I could've dragged you. Be grateful." He smirked to me as I rolled my eyes. Klaus turned back to his witch who looked at the cauldron chanting.

I heard the other woman groan more followed by cracking sounds. It sounded bad.

"You. You're Tyler's best friend?" She asked noticing my staring. I nodded. "Everything I did, to Caroline, to Rose, I did for him. I didn't want him to be alone and I wanted to help him." She explained as I gulped.

"You wanted to help by hurting other people. That isn't the way to help anyone." I groaned as I sat up. "But I forgive you. You believed it was the right think to do." I sighed lightly. She needed forgiveness. She was about to die so she deserved it.

"Well if we are done with the apologies, shall we?" Klaus asked looking at Jules as I looked at him agitated. I was about to die, he was going to kill my sister, my aunt, and me, so why did he have to be such a douche right now?

The fire ring around Jules went away and she growled and zoomed to him, but all the sudden his hand was in her chest. She gasped and he pulled out her heart and my breath hitched in my throat. I covered my mouth and looked at her. Klaus walked around blood dripping from the heart until he got to the cauldron and put the blood in. I couldn't make out what he was saying but they both smiled.

I breathed shakily. Sacrifice was hella scary. I wasn't ready to die.

"The day the lawyers called me to tell me I was gonna be your guardian, do you know what I said?" I heard Jenna say as I tried to catch my breath and I looked to her. "Can't someone else take the job." She let out a soft chuckle.

"Jenna there was no one else who could've done it as good as you." Elena shook her head still standing.

"It's just the thought that I almost passed up taking care of you." She shook her head lightly.

"But you didn't. You put your entire life on hold to help us." Elena bent down to look at Jenna who was sniffing.

"Look around Elena. I failed you." Jenna cried.

"No you didn't. I failed you." Elena replied teary eyed. "I'm so sorry." Elena said. She began whispering. I couldn't read her mouth through the flames. I knew whatever her plan, it would fail.

I thought to myself. It hurt to think but I needed to. The fight or flight response in me was working hard. I tried to think about what I could do, what hurt vampires. Bonnie.

Bonnie did a thing. She made Damon defenseless just by staring at him. She said it was an aneurysm over and over, all she had to do was concentrate. I was half witch so I could do that right?

"Hello, Jenna." Klaus said walking over. I concentrated on him, on his head, but nothing happened.

"I understand that I have to die but she doesn't!" Elena defended as she tried to move but the flames rose.

"Careful." Klaus warned. I tuned them out trying to concentrate on him. I kept trying but I couldn't find it in myself to do it. I didn't know where to find the power.

I thought of when I healed Rose, which I just now realized I actually did. I tried to think of how I did it. I wanted to heal her more than anything and I did it out of love. Maybe that meant I had to pull from what I loved.

"Well well." I heard Klaus as I began to pay attention to him. "I don't recall you being on the guest list." He spoke looking up as I looked to see Stefan. Oh no. This was bad. Klaus zoomed up to him and I looked at Elena worried. She was scared out of her mind, I could tell.

Elena asked Jenna to try and listen to it. I stood up still holding my head. It was starting to get better but it still was pounding lightly. Jenna started to hear them and she looked at Elena with worry.

"Oh my god." Jenna sighed.

"What is it?" Elena asked.

"He wants to take my place." Jenna replied.

"Then he'll-" I started. "I need to stop this." I sighed lightly.

I may have used magic from love before, but Bonnie used it from fire. She used mystical energy from flames and I just so happened to be surrounded by them.

"Emma how?" Elena asked confused.

I looked at the flames and took a deep breath, clearing my mind. I moved my hand in front of me and opened my palm. The flames rose for a second. I smirked lightly. Thankfully Elena and Jenna were the only ones to notice.

I looked to Klaus and Stefan who were walking down. "Stefan." Elena started.

"It's ok." Stefan nodded reassuringly. I looked to him worried.

"Who's it gonna be?" Klaus asked waving a stake around.

"No." Elena replied.

"Oh don't worry. There's actually no choice." Klaus replied as he vamped behind Stefan and stabbed him through the back.

"No! Stefan! No!" Elena yelled as I covered my mouth in shock. I knew I could only channel the fire when I wasn't afraid so I had to be calm. I took deep breaths.

"This might come as a surprise, but I actually want Stefan alive." Klaus replied to her. "But for now-" he tilted his head before snapping Stefan's neck. Elena gasped. I turned around. I couldn't watch. I needed to be calm. I needed everything to be okay. "Whenever you're ready Greta."

The flames around Jenna disappeared. My heart raced but I couldn't let it. I had to face what was happening. I watched as Jenna looked around.

"Your turn." Klaus muttered.

"No, Jenna, no!" Elena said as the flames around her grew.

"It's all right Elena. I know what I have to do." Jenna nodded. She looked to me and nodded lightly. I blinked unsure. Jenna ran towards the witch and bit her neck. Klaus vamped over and stabbed her through the back.

I looked at Jenna on the ground. Elena started crying and I felt myself shaking. "Turn it off, just turn it off." Elena told her as Klaus flipped her on her back and stabbed her. "No! Jenna!" Elena yelled as Jenna turned gray.

I cried lightly. Why couldn't I do anything. Elena or I was next. I was scared. "Now Emma." Klaus said walking over after putting Jenna's blood in the cauldron. The witch took away the flames around me. "It's time to split."

"Split?" Elena asked as she stood still enflamed in a circle.

"Your twin sister is a half breed. We need only half of her and we need to carefully extract it or else it could interfere with the spell." He said as he grabbed my arm and lead me to the little stand by the cauldron. "I should thank you for helping me." He said as I grumbled. "I'm being genuine. Of course you aren't submitting as willingly but still. Thank you Emma."

"Don't." I shook my head as I began to calm down. "You don't get to say my name." I looked at his eyes and concentrated. I tried to collect the flames with my mind. I heard the flames around Elena go up and then Klaus grunted. He groaned and began to fall on the ground.

"Greta!" He groaned loudly as the witch began chanting.

"Seperatum in duobus unum, per sanguis at natura. Seperatum in duobus unum, per sanguis at natura." She said as I felt my insides begin to squelch feeling tremendous pain but I kept going. "Seperatum in duobus unum, per sanguis at natura! Seperatum in duobus unum, per sanguis at natura!" She began yelling and I couldn't keep going, I was hurting too much. I looked down and there was a hole in my stomach. A line of my blood began flowing out and Klaus stood up.

"I was going to make your death quick, but I guess I'll just let you suffer." He spat angrily as my blood kept going.

I took deep breaths and watched the blood pour. Klaus put a cup under the hole as the witch kept chanting. I looked at Elena and let out a few tears.

I felt my legs starting to give out and my head start to blur everything. I began to close my eyes and the pain stopped and then everything just stopped.
