"He what?" I asked almost about to laugh. Apparently Elena ran into my dad walking across her hallway in underwear. I knew he had been staying over their the past few days but he wasn't technically supposed to get caught which made it hilarious.

"Yeah and then he offered me ice cream. It was really weird but I need you to come over today. Damon and Stefan want to talk about what's going on with Klaus." Elena said through the phone. She seemed on edge.

"I'll be over there soon. "I replied before hanging up. I got up and went to her house. When I got there, Damon and Stefan were already there.

"What did I miss?" I asked as I saw them all standing in the kitchen.

"They want to destroy the moonstone." Elena said as I nodded.

"Good idea but won't Klaus still want to kill everyone?" I asked curiously. I remembered Elena telling me that after Katherine turned he killed her whole family anyway.

"That's what I said." Elena nodded as she looked at me. "Besides how are we gonna get it from Katherine anyway?"

"We are going to take it from her." Stefan nodded but he didn't give description. I furrowed my eyebrows confused.

"What he means is that we will pry it out of her cold dead hand if we have to." Damon smiled manically for a second.

"Bonnie said she'll help open the deal. We get the moonstone get out and it's done." Stefan nodded.

"Hello? Who cares how we do it. How can we do it and be sure no ones going to die?" I asked crossing my arms.

"I don't want you to do it." Elena looked at the counter. "I can't risk everyone I care about getting hurt." Damon looked at me for help to side with him.

"My family is limited. It's not hard to kill three normal people." I shrugged. "It's a lot of risk."

"But we don't have a choice." Stefan looked at us both worried. "If we despell the moonstone we save Elena's life."

"I know. Everyone keeps saying that." Elena sadly got up and walked to the hallway.

"Yeah she wants to live but not if it means she lives without everyone she cares about." I looked at them worried. "I can't let that happen to her."

"She's probably heading to school. I'm gonna catch a ride." I got up and went to her. It was a quiet ride to school.

"Emma." I heard as I saw Tyler.

"Hey." I walked over to him.

"You never told me how you know." He said looking to me.

"Let's just say my mom was a folklore freak and my dad took on the work." I said as I nodded. "Have you thought about the full moon coming?" I asked curiously.

"Caroline asked me the same thing." He nodded.

"What has Caroline told you?" I asked curiously.

"What do you already know?" He asked back.

"I'll talk to her first. Figure everything out." I nodded. I didn't need him knowing more than he already did. "You don't seem worried."

"I mean I don't even know what is going on." He shook his head with a shrug. The bell rung and I looked at him.

"I gotta get to class. I'll talk to you later and we will figure everything out."

"You don't have to help you know." He looked at me and shook his head.

"Do you not want me to?" I asked confused.

"I just don't want you to get hurt. My uncle Mason was one. He almost killed Caroline and I don't want to hurt you." He explained as I smiled.

"That's sweet of you. I'll stay away then but I'm here for you okay? I'm a lot stronger than I look." I nodded to him.

"I know." He smiled. "I'll see you later." He said before I walked away to class.

The day went by and Caroline said she was working on helping deal with it. She told me he only knew that she was a vampire. He asked her if I was one too which made me laugh a little. I let her deal with him. She was stronger and I knew that it would be easier for both of us if I wasn't involved completely.

Stefan called me and I answered. "Hello?" I asked through the phone.

"We are going to try and unseal the tomb. I know Elena doesn't want to be involved but I wasn't sure if-"

"I'll go." I replied. "Can't let Klaus win."

"Alright we are meeting at my house. I'll see you there." He responded.

"Okay." I replied as I hung up.

I got to their house and Damon and Stefan were packing up. I saw the weapons in the car. "Just in case she puts up a fight." Damon smiled.

"Why didn't you kill her after the party? Why did you put her in the tomb?" I asked curiously.

"She deserved a fate worse then death." He shrugged.

"Is that really why?" I asked curiously as I got into the car. I didn't need an answer. We went to the tomb and Damon got a phone call. I helped Stefan take the stuff down the stairs when he saw the Moonstone.

"Is that the moonstone?" Bonnie asked as Stefan grabbed it.

"I hate to interrupt but today is just filled with surprises." Katherine said as blood trickled down her mouth and she grabbed Jeremy from behind her.

"Sorry. I took some powder." Jeremy replied weakly.

"What the hell Jeremy." I asked furiously. Could he be anymore stupid?

"Don't worry. I know he's wearing his ring and that no matter how many times I kill him, he'll come back. I'll be in the back playing with my new toy. You guys just give me a holler when you have the tomb open." Katherine smirked as she walked away.

I walked upstairs and Damon looked at me. "What's going on?" I asked worried.

"I have to go do something else. I'll be back." He replied with a nod.

"What else? What happened?" I asked crossing my arms.

"It's Elena." He replied looking down.

"Go." I said as he vamp speeded away. "Damn it." I sighed.

"Is everything okay?" Stefan asked walking up to me.

"Let's just get Jeremy out." I replied as I started walking down.

"Emma." He insisted as he grabbed my arm.

"Listen I'd love to talk about all the problems going on right now but I really think we should just deal with this one before we vent about the others." I replied looking to him as he furrowed his eyebrows and nodded.

I went down and Bonnie started performing her spell. She was doing it for a while when Katherine showed back up. "You have to stop her she's not strong enough!" Jeremy yelled worried.

Stefan watched her and eventually started trying to shake her out of the spell. She wouldn't stop and eventually she took a deep breath and fell on the ground, passing out.

"Well that's great. It's good I'm still hungry." Katherine smirked as she was about to bite Jeremy again. Stefan ran in and pushed Jeremy out of the tomb.

"Go!" He yelled.

"Stefan." I said looking at him.

"I said go!" He replied as Bonnie started getting up. Jeremy helped her and I looked at Stefan.

"Oh my god." I shook my head and followed Jeremy and Bonnie out. Bonnie went with Jeremy home and I decided to wait until Damon brought Elena back. I sat on the floor by the stairs.

I saw a car drive closer and noticed it was Damons. I stood up and Elena ran out and towards me. "Is he down there?" She asked as I nodded. She ran down and started yelling his name.

Damon walked over and looked at me. "Why has everyone been complete idiots today?" I asked shaking my head lightly.

"I've wondered the same question." He replied as I sighed.

"I understand not wanting Elena to sacrifice herself, I don't want her to either, but you two can't walk around doing the exact thing you told her not to. It'll just make her want to do it more." I shook my head lightly.

"It's better than doing nothing." He replied agitated as he vamped downstairs.

He was right. I just didn't know how to do it. Someone would surely die no matter what and I hated it.

Elena ran up and I looked at her. "Are you okay?" I asked curiously.

"You were here. You could've stopped him from getting in." She looked at me panting.

"Are you blaming me?" I asked surprised.

"You could've at least made an effort." She shook her head.

"Yeah I did Elena. I made sure not to get myself killed. Everyone else risked their lives for us today and you're mad at me for actually being safe?" I asked looking at her angrily. "Are you kidding me?"

"I just-" She started as she took a deep breath. "I need to go home."

She got into Damons car and I noticed him walking up. He looked at me. "Please tell me you don't blame me too."

"She blames you?" He asked surprised.

"Yeah. She does that a lot. Of course everyone does because I'm the damn scapegoat." I replied as I put my hand on my head.

"It's not your fault. If it makes you feel any better you're the only one that was actually smart today." He replied with a nod.

"Thanks I guess." I sighed. "I just wish for once that things weren't bad, but every time I get close to good, things get tremendously worse."

"I know the feeling. Everything will figure itself out. I think Elijah might be on our side." He replied to me.

"What?" I asked confused and surprised. "One, I thought he was dead and two, he was trying to kidnap us."

"Yeah I'm just as confused for both. Apparently originals can't die." He nodded. "Lets get you and Elena home." He motioned his head towards the car.

"Fine." I nodded. "And thank you for going to save her. I really appreciate it."

"Yeah I know." He nodded as I rolled my eyes and walked to the car. Elena had a long journey of avoiding death ahead of her and apparently so did I since Elijah wanted me too. More so just everyone making sure Elena didn't die. Either way it was going to be a huge struggle.
