Elena's POV

My dad carried my last box to the car. I held Mia as I walked behind him, ready to leave. Gabby was already waiting for me inside the car. She's been a little upset but it was mostly because she liked Cesar and was leaving him behind.

"You sure about this?" My dad asks as he closes the trunk to my car.

"I'm sure. Do I not look like it?" I ask laughing.

My dad chuckles and shakes his head.

"You look positive but I'm just making sure." He says. "Have you spoken with-"

"No." I cut him off. "I plan on keeping it that way, just please don't tell him where I am."

"I won't." He says.

Mia starts to whine as I buckle her in her car seat.

"I should get going, it's a two hour drive, I need to keep Mia still." I say smiling at my dad. He nods his head and walks closer to me, opening his arms.

"If you need anything, call me." He says as he hugs me tightly.

"I will dad."

Someone clears their throat behind us. I let go of my dad and turn around to see Oscar. He looks tired and upset.

"So you're leaving again? You're going to take my daughter away from me again?" He asks.

"I don't have time for this Oscar." I say as I walk to the driver's side of my car.

"No, you have plenty of time." He says as he slams the door shut as I tried to open it. "I did something dumb, yes. But that gives you no right to keep my daughter away from me."

"Dumb?" I ask while laughing. "You fucked up big time Oscar. You really think I want my daughter to be around you while you have some dirty girls in your house? Mind you, Carmen is pregnant with your kid? I mean who knows, it's probably not even yours."

"Cállate!" He yells. "She might be having my kid, but that doesn't mean you have to keep me away from seeing Mia."

"And what are you gonna do now Oscar? You're gonna now stay with Carmen and start that family that you always wanted? I ask. He stays quiet, looking at me. "Fuck you."

I get in the car, Gabby looking at me with apologetic eyes. I start the car and drive off.

"So this is your house, it's pretty small, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen and dining room." Daniel says as he opens the door to the house. "Everything has been paid for."

"What? Are you serious?" I ask in disbelief. The house was very cute from the outside and in. The dinning area was connected with the living room, and the kitchen looked decent. "Did you pay for this?" He nods. "Why?"

"I didn't want you guys to worry about the payments. It's no big deal really." He says. "On the other hand, do you guys like it?"

I look at Gabby and she's already grinning.

"It's lovely." I say. "As much as I hate you for paying everything, I love it. Thank you."

"No problem." He says smiling. "Do you guys need help bringing your things in?"

"Don't you have to be at work in a bit?" I ask.

"I do but I can be a bit late, it's fine." He says.

"No, no. It's fine, Gabby and I will bring our stuff in, it's not a lot either way." I smile.

"If you guys need anything, please call me." He says as I follow him to the door.

"Will do, thanks again for doing this for us." I say as I give him a hug.

"I'm glad you liked it." He says. "Listen, if you guys have nothing to do tonight, how about I bring over some pizza and we watch a movie?"

"Sounds good, I think Gabby will also be down for that." I say smiling.

"Great, i'll see you later then."

"See you later Daniel." I say as I close the door. 

I lean my head against the door when I hear Gabby clearing her throat.

"Let me find out you're crushing on Daniel." she says smirking at me.

"Girl, no." I say laughing.

"Girl yes!" She yells.

"Shut up and start unpacking." I say as I walk past her laughing.

I hear footsteps following behind me and I roll my eyes.

"What Gabriela." I say.

"So, you don't have a crush on him?" She asks.

"I don't know him that well! I just know him enough from when we went out for breakfast." I say. "Plus, I just got out of a relationship, you actually think I'm trying to be with someone?"

"You don't have to be with him; you just have to find him cute." Gabby says. "Now do you think he's cute?"

"Gabby."

"Elena."

I sigh and smile at her.

"Yes, I think he's cute, but nothing's going to happen." I say.

Which I know it's going to backfire on me.
