(18) the danger

Jisung was sitting in front of the library and enjoying his fish burger. Occasionally, he would smile when he heard Soobin and Yeonjun conversing. The two alphas are bickering about their assignments. Changbin and Seungmin, who had just arrived, gave the trio ice americanos. After chatting for a short time, Jisung headed back to the library. Outside, the others were still talking.

"Hey, baby.." 

Jisung was taken aback when Hyunjin sat next to him.

"What brought you here?" In a low tone, Jisung asked. They were careful not to disturb the others in the library.

"To pick you up, of course. Felix and Binnie-hyung are on a date. I mean a double date with Minnie and Channie-hyung."

"Oh, I didn't notice they weren't here," Jisung referred to Changbin and Seungmin. Soobin and Yeonjun remained at the table, only one step away from him.

"Baby, they were gone for half an hour ago. Yesterday, there was an incident where the alpha interfered with the omega. Being one of your alphas, my wish is for you to be protected from such disturbances."

Jisung smiles. 

"Thank you, Hyunie." 

"My pleasure," Hyunjin replied while putting Jisung's pen into the pencil case. The omega stood up to return the book he had been using a while ago. Following that, they both left the library after say goodbye to Soobin and Yeonjun. 

They exchanged words while holding hands. Hyunjin and Jisung have begun planning to go for a picnic this weekend, and they would like to invite Felix as well. Hyunjin was encouraged by Jisung to pursue Felix.

Their talk was interrupted by the ringing of Hyunjin's phone. On the phone screen, Minho's name appeared.

"Hello, hyungie." 

"Hello, Jinnie. Do you have Sungie with you?"

Hyunjin took a look at his omega.

"Yes, hyung. I have Sungie with me. Why?" 

"I'm checking to see if he's with you. Just now, there was another case of omega being attacked by alpha. I want to ensure that our omega is protected from harm."

"Don't worry, hyung. We're already headed back home. I'll take care of our omega," Hyunjin replied and ended the conversation.

Jisung's heart melted when he heard that. He tipped his toes and kissed his alpha cheeks. Hyunjin beamed. 

"I love you." 

"I also love you, baby," Hyunjin responded before they proceeded on their journey.

Suddenly, Hyunjin ceased to move. He grasped Jisung's hand. Jisung's eyes widened as he saw what caused his alpha's steps to stop. They saw several alphas being arrested in front of them. It looked like the alpha was aggressive. Jisung evaded the spotlight by hiding behind his alpha. From where they stood, Jisung saw two omega whimpers. After examining their condition, Jisung realized that the omega was the victim of the alpha who had been detained.

"It's possible that this is what Minho-hyung mentioned to us a while ago," Hyunjin whispered. 

Jisung failed to reply because he was drawn to the face of someone he knew well.

"Hyunie.." 

Hyunjin turned to his mate. 

"One of the alphas that was caught is Felix's father.."
