jasmine was currently putting on mascara, getting ready to go to jaelin and alexandra's house for new years. the two sisters were throwing a new year's party but not until later tonight so the trio all thought it would be a good idea to go shopping.

jasmine slipped on her black jeans with a crop top and her polo hoodie. her phone was sat on her vanity as it started ringing. she quickly pulled the straps of her shirt up and went over to her phone. 'jae baby 💙 .' was on the front of her screen. she slid over on her phone, the facetime call connecting.

"hi hearty," jasmine said as soon as she saw both of her best friends faces. "hellooo," they said in unison. "you on the way?" jaelin asked, putting some strawberries in her mouth. jasmine went into her closet and set her phone up on the door, putting on her air forces.

"yeah. leaving now." she sighed whilst getting up and grabbing a jacket and her car keys. "ight text us when you here." jaelin said, hanging the phone up. jasmine sighed and made her way out to her car and started driving to jaelin's house.

the three girls have been shopping around harlem center for a good two hours now. they were just buying some essentials for the party tonight along with some clothes. they were currently in american eagle, jaelin trying on some jeans she had wanted.

jasmine and alexandra were in the dressing room with her, giving their opinions on the second pair of jeans she had on. "i like them," jasmine shrugged, looking at her friend in the mirror. "me too," alexandra said.

jaelin moved her hands around the dark blue bootcut jeans she had on, a mug planted on her face. "i don't know," she sighed. "girl they're cute and they fit you well." jasmine huffed. alexandra nodded her head and stuffed her phone in her back pocket. "and you said i don't know to the last pair." she said.

jaelin nodded her head and changed back into the leggings she had on. jaelin grabbed the jeans and the three made their way out of the dressing room, into the line to purchase the jeans. after loads of people finally being in front of her, she payed for the jeans and made their way out the store.

the girls walked around the mall for another hour until they finally decided to leave. they all sat in the car with a sigh. jaelin removed her polo jacket since she was hot from walking around for a while. "y'all i'm hungry," jaelin said.

"same," jasmine and alexandra said in unison. "what y'all want?" jaelin asked, looking at the two. they thought about it for a minute before both saying chic-fil-a. jaelin nodded her head and started the car, going to chic-fil-a.

"we eatin inside i hope y'all know that." jaelin said as she pulled into the parking lot. they both nodded and went inside and got in line to order their food. they all ordered their food and jasmine ended up paying for it. the girl gave all of the girls a cup for them to fill up their drinks.

jaelin filled her cup with sprite, jasmines with coke and alexandra's with dr. pepper. they all sat down at a booth, jaelin and jasmine sitting together whilst alexandra was on the other side. all three of them were scrolling through tiktok when all of their phone's vibrated, indicating they got a notification.

jaelin smacked her lips at her phone and set their tray above the trash can. "fuck his problem?" she mumbled. "worda bro why he actin like that," jasmine said as they all walked back to the car. they got into the car as jaelin sighed.

"i'm not tryna have my mood ruined by him. he been actin mad dayroom with me lately but it's all cool." she said as she started the car. jasmine and alexandra shared sad looks with one another before just going to their phones with the rest of the car ride being silent.

the girls have been home for a good forty five minutes now. by now they would all still be getting ready but when they got home, they immediately fell asleep. jaelin was the first to wake up. she looked to her right to see jasmine and alexandra asleep.

she tapped her phone to see what time it was just to see it was exactly seven o' clock. she sighed and picked up her phone, going through her notifications to see if she had any important. when she saw that she didn't, she got up and stretched.

she put on her ugg slippers and made her way to the bags on the ground, pulling out the new navy blue dress she got today. she grabbed everything else she needed for her shower along with a towel and her robe.

she set her things down in her bathroom and went back over to her bed. she woke up jasmine first by shaking her which woke alexandra up. "i'm finna get in the shower," she said, pulling her straight hair to the side. "i'll be quick since we got like two hours." she said.

the two girls both nodded their heads and rubbed their eyes. jaelin went back into her bathroom and started her shower. she took off the makeup she had before and put on her shower cap.

before she got in, she played 'Are You That Somebody' by Aaliyah. she got in the shower and scrubbed her body and washed her face. after about twenty minutes, she got out and disconnected her phone from her speaker. she put her robe on and cleared the fog out of her bathroom mirror.

she put on her moisturizer and grabbed all her stuff and walked out of her bathroom. jasmine was sitting on the edge of the bed with her white dress along with a towel. "all yours," jaelin said as she closed her bedroom door. "alex showering in her bathroom?" she asked.

jasmine nodded her head, obviously still sleepy from her nap. jaelin put on her dress, looking at herself in the mirror. she smiled at the results and made her way over to her vanity and removed her shower cap.

she brushed through her hair and put it back in a ponytail whilst putting clips in her hair. she got some serum and put on her face and then put on her primer. she put some music on her tv, playing 'Girls Need Love' by Summer Walker.

she proceeded on with her makeup, taking her time but rushing at the same time since she didn't wanna be late to her own party.

it was now eight fifty and the boys were already here. jaelin was still straightening her hair so she made trilly get the door for the boys before he left. she finished the last strand she was on, turning off her flat iron.

alexandra finished applying her lashes as jasmine finished putting on the necklaces. jaelin could hear music playing downstairs and more people talking, indicating that more people are here. she quickly put on her rings and bracelets and sighed.

"okay, y'all we late," she laughed. jasmine and alexandra laughed too and nodded. "it's okay. they'll understand that we just gotta look good no matter whattt," alexandra said, dragging the word out. jasmine laughed pulled her dress down as he sat up.

jaelin had got a navy blue dress, jasmine had a white one on and alexandra with a black one. all the girls took photos of eachother for their instagram and then finally headed downstairs.

the girls all said their hellos to everyone as in dudeylo, roscoe, keem, edot babyy, stella, camila, maria, trenity plus more. music blasted throughtout the girls ears whilst they were looking for the people they actually wanted to see.

they stopped in the middle of the living room where people were dancing with a sigh. they were about to give up and say forget it until jaelin saw them in the kitchen, talking to one another. "there they are!" jaelin yelled over the music to her friends.

they all mumbled a little yes under their breathe and made their way to the kitchen. notti was the first to see the girls, a smile growing on his face. "hey jazzy," he said to the girl, pulling her beside him with his arm over her shoulder. alexandra stood next to ddot with his arm around his waist whilst jaelin and dd just stood there.

the two couples in front of them started a conversation while dd was on his phone and jaelin stood there looking stupid. "wassup with you?" she asks him. her voice caught his attention, making him immediately turn his phone off.

"what you mean?" he answered back. she rolled her eyes and sighed. "for the past week straight you've been mad dayroom and barely talkin to me," she said. "answerin' me in short responses and always on yo phone when we together." she said. dd looked at her and then the ground. he shrugged.

"ion know," he said. "with me ddot and notti going up in music it's just been a lot i guess?" he said as a question. jaelin huffed out a sigh and rolled her tongue across her teeth. she just nodded her head and removed herself from the counter. "i'm gonna go find jayklickin and dee, bro," she said, clearly upset.

she started walking away until dd grabbed her arm. "wait, jae," he said until she cut him off. "nah dd it's cool for real. i understand." she said to him with sad eyes. she removed her wrist from his grip and walked away.

dd rubbed his temples as he watched his girlfriend walk away. jaelin grabbed a random drink she saw on her table in her living room and started drinking it. she set the drink down and went on her phone whilst putting her hand on the side of her head.

"why ain you enjoin' your own party?" a voice said. she looked up from her phone to see quan. she smiled and then shrugged. "my mood just got ruined. that's all," she said, turning her phone off. "how come?" he asked, sitting down next to her. he sat the same way she was sitting except he was facing her.

quan was like her second older brother. ever since she had became real close with ddot, notti, and dd, she became close with the whole oy gang. quan, keem, dudeylo, roscoe, and edot being like older brothers to her. their friendship was unbreakable. he always wanted her to be happy and protected her at all costs.

he would always threaten dd as a joke saying how if he ever hurt jaelin, he would hurt him. same for ddot and notti. she knew he was part joking but was also very serious at the same time. he always listened to her rant, whether it was good or bad. she liked that about him. she never used his stupid advice so anytime she needed to talk to anyone, she would go to him and tell him to just listen and not speak.

and that's what she needed right now. she told quan everything. from when him and her were fighting about him talking to crystal until now. quan furrowed his eyebrows with a mug expression on his face. "nah why he bein like that," he said. she just shrugged and drank the last of the drink she had stole.

"don't even worry about it, my heart. he buggin' but he'll come around i promise." he said, giving the girl a hug. she sighed and hugged him back whilst nodding her head. "i hope so." she said. just as quan was about to say something, a drunk alexandra and jasmine came up to the girl, dragging her to the dining area where everyone was dancing.

she gave quan an apologetic look and nodded his head with a thumbs up, indicating he understood. she went onto the dance floor where everyone else was whilst the song 'or nah' was playing. alexandra started dancing with some girl who was standing by herself whilst jaelin and jasmine danced together.

jasmine twirled jaelin around in a circle until a circle formed around a certain girl. all four of the girls, the girl alexandra danced with who jaelin later on found out her name was sam, joined the circle and hyped the girl up dancing in the middle of it.

boys were also in the circle but three boys caught all of the girls eyes. notti, ddot, and dd were all looking at the different girls going into the middle dancing. they all smacked their lips and stared them down. all of the boys slowly looked up to see their girlfriends, their smiles dropping.

they all quickly left the circle and made their way over to where they were before. they all shared looks, including sam. "dickheads." they mumbled.

jaelin and dd were sat on the couch with everyone else playing truth or dare. jaelin was too tired to play and dd just simply wasn't in the mood to play. not surprising since he hasn't been in the mood for anything.

everyone had left the party fifteen minutes before new years, mainly because roscoe and dee made them leave. the only guest who stayed was sam cause everyone had liked her. jaelin let out a sigh and got up from the couch and heading to the kitchen until dd grabbed her arm.

"where you going?" he asked. she looked between the kitchen, him, and his hand on her arm. "the kitchen. i want water," she said. he just nodded his head and let go of the girl. she went into the kitchen and into her fridge and grabbed her water.

she walked back to the couch but this time standing behind it. specifically behind dd. she took a sip of her water and put the cap on until she took a glance at dd's phone, seeing he was texting dudeylo. she didn't mean to be nosey but what they were talking about broke her heart.

'naa bro you buggin. i'm ending things wit her soon.' she read. she never liked being in peoples business unless that person made it her business. she dropped her water bottle and quickly looked away as dd looked at her. she picked up her water and sat farther away from dd.

sam turned on the tv and onto a channel that had the countdown for the new year. everyone grabbed their drink and started counting down from 10.
