TEARS RAN OUT OF HER CLENCHED EYES AND ON HER HANDS AS THEY PRESSED AGAINST HER FACE,ย covering it whole. It was 5 in the morning and F/n couldn't help but weep against the tall wall and on the wooden floor.
'Why am I like this? I want to go home. I miss home. Where are you, Katsuki?' she silently thought as she let out another sniffle and a cry.
She was homesick, that's for sure. She had nothing.
Nothing to survive but the volleyball team members. Nothing to go out in to explore instead of being stuck between the four walls she had grown a disliking. Nothing to help her feel at home.
Just then the door opened. The heavy door swung gracefully, making the light from the outside illuminate the gym floor.
She turned her head and did not at all expect the person to be who he was. She had expected Daichi or Sugawara to come along as they would in the morning. But, no.
"What are you doing?" the tall blonde asked.
She looked away, unable to respond to his query. He raised an eyebrow when he saw her tear-stained face.
"Were you crying?" he asked again, only making the girl hide more under the soft blanket.
His eyebrows rose at the confirmation before clicking his tongue and walking toward her.
"Don't cry," he said, not knowing what to say to comfort her.
She sniffled. "I want to go home."
Tsukishima looked at her and let out a short breath. "We'll get you home soon," he reassured.
She looked at him with tear-filled eyes, making his breath hitch slightly. He avoided her gaze as he was never used to being this way to people. This was definitely not his thing.
"Thank you," she said, so softly he nearly missed her saying so. He didn't say anything after that, nor did she.
The two high school students sat beside each other, one with his eyes closed and headphones covering his ears while the other with eyes wide open and breathing rigid, though it seemed to be calming down after a while.

"One touch!"
"Sorry! Cover!"
The gym was, again, filled with loud slamming of balls and shouts from the males. Heavy footsteps echoed as they called each other out for assistance.
"Watch out!"
Yachi's eyes widened at the ball that was directly aimed at her. She shut her eyes for the impact, only to realize it never came.
She hesitantly opened her eyes and saw a hand in front of her, stopping the ball from hitting her head.
The boys' eyes widened in shock, including the coach, teacher and Kiyoko's.
"F-F/n-chan?" Yachi stuttered.
She hummed. "Don't aim towards her," F/n said, throwing the ball back in the court.
"Is this the hero training she always talks about?" Nishinoya and Tanaka asked each other.
"That's so cool, F/n-chan!" Hinata exclaimed, jumping up and down.
"Are you okay, F/n-san?" Ennoshita asked.
"I'm fine," she nodded.
"What about you, Hitoka-chan?" Kiyoko asked.
"I-I-" Yachi shivered, "Yes! I've never watched a volleyball match this up-close besides in Physical Education class. They are so intense!"
"When it comes to offence," Kiyoko blocked a ball from hitting her, "we're one of the best in the prefecture."
"Sorry about that!"
"One of the best?" F/n mumbled, "Why is volleyball so important? What's so good about it?"
Once again, the teammates froze.
"WHAT'S SO GOOD ABOUT IT?!"
"Everything about it is good, F/n-chan!" Hinata exclaimed.
"You get to feel it! Every time I receive a ball, it makes me happy," Nishinoya said.
"Spiking the ball is so satisfying!" Tanaka chimed in, smiling as he moved his hand.
"Volleyball is just a sport that we enjoy playing, F/n," Sugawara said.
F/n furrowed her eyebrows. "I don't get it," she said, "Why does it make you happy? Where I'm from, no one plays volleyball anymore. Except when going to the beach."
Silence.
"WHAT?!"
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
"Is that... the Tokyo Sky Tree?"
"No, that's just a transmission tower."
"NYAHAHAHAHA!"
Tanaka and Nishinoya screamed. "Tokyo, we're here!"
F/n grunted as she got off of the bus. "Thanks, Kiyoko-san," she said, smiling.
The third-year manager returned the smile and walked beside one another as they entered the building.
"WAHHHH!" The captains of both teams got interrupted by a scream.
"Girls..." A mohawk-headed boy kneeled desperately in front of the three girls with Kiyoko stretching her arm in front of the other two, "They have three girls now... One is beautiful, one is cute and the other... is beautiful and cute!"
'Are everyone in here actually like Mineta and Kaminari?' F/n wondered, heart slightly clenching at the thought of her home, 'I need to figure out how to get back... I can't stay here forever.'
"Do you see that, Tora?" Tanaka spoke in a dark voice, shadow casting upon his face, "This is Karasuno's real prowess."
"How bright..." the other boy cringed, shielding his eyes with his arm.
With Tanaka laughing, Kiyoko turned towards Yachi and F/n.
"Let's go," she said.
"All right."
The scenery was all too familiar for the Karasuno team as they entered the gym filled with screams from males and thumping of the balls from one side of the court to the other.
"Let's have a good match!"
F/n watched as the boys passed the ball to one another, eyes filled with concentration and belief. She admired the passion within each person, even though it still confuses her.
'How do people like these things? They're just throwing balls.'
A certain bed-headed male turned to her. "Oya?" he said, gesturing to the girl, "Who's that?"
Daichi raised an eyebrow, turning towards the direction he had pointed. "Oh, that's F/n. She's staying with us for a moment," he explained.
"Why's that?" he asked.
Daichi nervously rubbed the nape of his neck. "Personal problems," he chuckled humorlessly.
Taking advantage of the ability to read people easily, the taller male knew that there was definitely something he was hiding, besides these... personal problems he had claimed.
"Hey," the bedhead approached the girl.
F/n looked at him, his height being a disadvantage for her neck as he was very much way taller than she was.
"Hello," she muttered shyly.
"Kuroo Tetsurou. What's your name?" Kuroo asked.
"Bakugou... F/n," she said.
"Oya, oya?" another voice chimed in, "Kuroo, who's this?"
"Bokuto," he greeted the boy, "This is Bakugou."
"...Just call me F/n," she said, staring at the two tall boys in front of her. Kuroo had his elbow on his friend's shoulder while Bokuto had his arms crossed.
"Bokuto-san."
"Hey, hey, hey! Akaashi! Look, there's a new manager from Karasuno!" Bokuto exclaimed.
"Akaashi Keiji," he nodded with a smile.
"Bakugou F/n."
"Wait..." Kuroo paused, "You're not their manager, are you?"
She looked at him and blinked. "Ma... nager?" she said slowly, tilting her head.
It was the three boys' turn to blink at her, ears starting to redden at her actions. 'Cute!'
"Manager of the Karasuno volleyball team," Akaashi said after clearing his throat.
She looked at him and let out an 'oh' sound. "Oh, that manager," she muttered quietly to herself, "No, I'm not. Yacchan and Kiyoko-san are the managers. But Kiyoko-san said that Yacchan's the next manager after she graduates."
"So, if you weren't the manager, then who are you?" Bokuto asked, eyebrows rose at the tea that was soon to be spilt.
"I'm a hero in training."
"A h-"
"Oi! Bokuto-san! Kuroo-san! It's our turn to play!"
The two captains grumbled at the lack of information as the setter shifted quietly.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Bakugou-san," Akaashi smiled.
"Nice to meet you too," she smiled back, "You can just call me F/n though."
"We'll talk again, F/n-chan!" Kuroo shouted as the three ran back to court, dragging the pouting ace away.
"Yeah! Don't think our conversation is over!"
"Keep quiet!"
"Akaashi! Help me get him off of me!"
The match began between Ubugawa High and Shinzen High. The match started immediately with a strong serve from a team.
"My arm would've torn off!" Yachi shrieked.
"Everyone on that team is very good at serving," Kiyoko noted, "Ubugawa High's serve is their strongest weapon."
This time, the opposing team received the ball and it shot up.
"Everyone is moving at the same time!" Yachi exclaimed.
"Amazing teamwork!" Kiyoko complimented whilst Yachi stared at them in astonishment.
"Everyone was jumping around. I don't know who was going to spike!"
F/n had been quiet this whole time, still slightly wondering how in the world would they take volleyball so seriously.
"All right!" a very loud scream filled the girl's ears, "I'm the strongest! Hey, hey, hey!"
The boy with frosted tips pumped his fist in the air and F/n stared at him. 'He is even more enthusiastic about volleyball than the others are...' she sighed.
"What's wrong, F/n?" Kiyoko asked.
"I still don't get why people like volleyball so much," she said.
Kiyoko smiled at her. "You'll learn here," she said, "People get inspired to play volleyball."
"Like Hinata," Ukai said, "That boy is very energetic when it comes to this sport. Same as Kageyama."
"All right. One lap of diving drills," Daichi commanded.
"Yes."
F/n furrowed her eyebrows. "They have been losing over and over again. Are they bad?"
Ukai and Takeda both made a face. "They're not bad," Takeda said, "They're just..."
"..."
"Normal."
"..."
"..."
"Oh."
