Chapter 19

Maddy's POV

The week following the funeral passed in a blur. Rhydian was still brooding but he had started to cheer up towards the end of the week. We had resorted to our normal way of travelling Running/racing through the woods. We would go for a run and then run back home in time for school. It seemed that was the only time Rhydian was happy or when we were alone. Roman was teaching me how to play the drums and school had been hectic. Mr Jeffries had been handing out revision time tables and everyone had been looking at colleges.

So today was a cold but dry Saturday afternoon and me and Rhydian were staying at my house. I was lying on my tummy across my bed revising for maths as that would be our first exam. Rhydian was sat cross legged next to me also revising for maths but succeeding in distracting me more.

Rhyds:"mads I'm tired."

Me:"we haven't even done much yet."

Rhyds:"can we take a break then?"

Me:"no we've only just started."

Rhyds:"Maddy we started at 8 this morning."

Me:"and you just had a break an hour ago when we went to eat."

Rhyds:"but this is boring."

Me:"it still has to be done."

Rhyds:"just a five minute break. Or we could start to revise biology." He slips his hand beneath my top and onto my bare back. He begins to draw circles on my skin.

Mads:"stop it Rhydian. I said no. Revise a bit more." A soft moan escaped my lips ending my sentence as his lips found my neck. I was losing myself into his touch and he knew it. His lips were trailing wet kisses and soft nips up and down my neck and behind my ear on that one soft spot he knew about. "Rhydian." I moaned. I felt his lips curve into a smile against me. He knew he had won. He knew he had me. The maths book lay forgotten and I somehow found myself straddling Rhydian our lips fused together. Hands travelling under the others top. The buttons of my top were undone. Rhydian sliding it down my arms.

Mam:"Maddy. Rhydian." And just like that we broke apart me trying to do up my top. "What are you revising now?"

me:"biology." I say not thinking. My mind befuddled. I see Rhydian grin his arms wrapping around my waist.

Mam:"I thought you were doing maths? Anyways were going shopping do you want anything?"

Me:"ice cream please."

Mam:"ok pet." We hear the door close downstairs and the start of an engine.

Rhydian leans forward his intention clear. I place my fingers on his lips and push his face back.

Me:"maths. Not bio."

Rhyds:"you just said we were doing bio. Might as well finish one topic before starting another."

Me:"we were doing maths first. It was ok to leave that."

Rhyds:"maths is boring. Biology is so much more interesting." His hands were hitching up my top again. I felt his hardened shaft beneath me. I felt my resolve weaken once more as his lips found mine. He bit down softly on my bottom lip. My hands weaned themselves in his hair as I rocked against him. He was pulling my top over my head.

"Knock knock. Knock knock." Again we broke apart. Rhydian looked pissed. I smiled at his expression trying to hide my own annoyance.

Rhyds:"can we not be left alone. No one came when we were revising maths." I looked out through my window to see Shan Ava Tom and Harry stood at the bottom.

Me:"the rest of the groups here. And we don't look decent." I say staring at his evident arousal. He grins at me as he gets up of the bed and comes to stand before me. He kisses me deeply for a moment before breaking away.

Rhyds:"looks like we'll have to wait. I'm going to make myself decent and neaten up here. We'll sit in the living room to revise. I'll bring the books down ok?" I nod. Pecking his lips I rush down to open the door running my fingers through my hair and straightening my clothes at the same time. I open the door grinning at my brothers and sisters as they trudge in.

Shan:"well you took your time."

Me:"sorry."

Tom:"I bought meat for burgers."

Harry:"I bought drinks."

Ava:"I got junk food."

Shan:"where's Rhydian?"

Me:"bathroom. And he's bringing the books down. I told mam to get us ice cream."

They all but their bags on the floor and we all walk into the kitchen. Shan and Ava start taking out bowls to put crisp popcorn and sweets into. I open the cupboard with the glasses in. Being the clever person I am I try to take out all the glasses at once. One slips out of my left hand. My hands are full I know I won't be able to catch it. I close my eyes anticipating the crash. It doesn't come. I feel a muscular being stood behind me. A hand slips into my right one taking the glasses I'm holding. I know who it is before I open my eyes. There's only one person whose presence causes my heart to race and butterflies in my tummy. I slowly open my eyes to see Rhydian's outstretched hand having caught the glass and his other hand holding the glasses he took of me. I turn around to see him smirking at me.

Rhyds:"trying to be clever where we." He whispers softly so only I can hear.

I blush a little, as I begin to lose my self in his pools of blue ocean deep eyes. A coughing sound breaks the trance and we turn to see our family grinning at us like idiots. I blush some more as I push Rhydian a little and put the glasses down on the table. Harry followed me in with the drinks as Tom started making the burgers Shan cut the salad Rhydian buttered the baps and Ava filled the bowls with food.

The first batch of burgers were ready as we set the stuff down on the table inside. The boys finished making the food and us girls quickly tidied away the stuff that we had used . Soon we were all sat around the table with our books out. Tom picked up the first burger and took a bite.

Shan:"what shall we revise first?"

Me:"finish maths. Then science?"

Shan:"ok."

The rest of us grabbed our own burgers and revision began. An hour and a half later empty bowls in which junk food once resided and a few burgers on a plate lay across the table with six brain befuddled teens sat around it. Mam and dad walked in at this time and dad picked up a now cold burger taking a huge bite.

Mam:"how's revision going pets?"

Harry:"just kill us now mrs. S." Mam laughed.

Mam:"I'm sure it's not that bad. How about you take a break and clean up in here. I'm gonna get dinner on."

We all nodded deciding to take an hours break. Us girls picked up the empty bowls whist the boys cleaned the table and got the Hoover on. I washed Ava dried and Shan put away. Dad and the boys slipped out. I'm guessing they went to dads shed. Me Shan and Ava helped mum prepare for dinner and put the groceries away. I smiled as I went out to put a large tub of Ben and jerries cookie dough in the freezer outside. I heard voices of laughter come out of the shed confirming my suspicions. An hour later the pig was cooking in the oven and we were all pouring over our revision notes and books again. At 5 mam called us to eat. We all trudged into the dining room feeling thoroughly exhausted. As we sat to eat I was transfixed by Rhydian for a moment. He was sat there smiling, eating happily more than I'd seen him eat in a long while, still not as much as he used to eat though. He was talking away and laughing. I didn't fail to realise that he'd lost weight. But I saw parts of my old Rhydian again. The one I fell in love with. The careless funny loving and caring Rhydian who acted like he didn't care but he did. A nudge in the side broke my trance. I looked to my side to see mam grinning at me. She leaned close and whispered so only I could hear.

Mam:"it can only go uphill from here pet." I looked down blushing into my food. But with every fibre of my being I hoped that she was right.

After helping clean away we all sat to start science. Too full yet to even touch the ice cream. We sat till 9 o'clock until we couldn't get another word into our already full brains.

Me:"I'll go get ice cream. You can eat it before you go."

Ava:"no thanks mads. I'm still full. Maybe another time."

Shan:"me too mads." I looked at them disappointed.

Harry:"honestly mads were still full. I promise next time ok." I just nod.

Tom:"Rhydian you gonna drop us of home?"

Rhyds:"yeah. Maddy you coming?" I smile as he puts his hand out for me to take. I nod as I take his hand.

Me:"mam dad were going to drop Shan Tom Harry and Ava off home." I yelled as we walked out.

I sat in the front as we got into the car. Taking my place besides Rhydian. As he always does when he drives and I sit besides him, he takes my hand in to his own placing it on the gear stick. He keeps hold of my hand throughout the whole journey. Our family find it cute. Although I love it I hate to admit that it's cute. Cute is such a girly word. Having dropped them of home we returned home too in a comfortable silence. Mia had called Rhydian to see how revision was going and to see if he was ok. After assuring her he was fine he hung up. Parking the car we got out and walked to the door to find it locked. Rhydian unlocked the door and we walked in to the kitchen to find a note on the table. Mum and dad had gone for a walk.

Rhyds:"ice cream or bed mads." I turned to face him. He stepped closer and I took a step back walking straight into the table. Damn. He smirked as he took another step closer placing his hands either side of me on the table effectively blocking me. He leant forward and I tilted my head up to meet his lips. Instead he kissed my cheek before moving away. "I'm really tired. I think I'll go to bed."

He stretched and yawned and smirked again as he saw the annoyance clearly on my face. He started walking upstairs and I followed but he had locked himself in the bathroom. Annoyed and aroused I walked into my bedroom and locked my door. Well 2 can play at that game. He could sleep in the spare bedroom. I quickly changed into my night shirt which was one of Rhydian's t-shirts then lay in my bed brooding. I heard Rhydian try the handle once and finding it locked I heard him walk away. I strained my ears to hear any sound that might indicate what he was doing but I heard nothing. all of a sudden light flooded the room as my light was turned on.

Rhyds:"did you really think locking the door could keep me away?" I shot upright shocked.

Me:"Rhydian how did you get in? I didn't hear you?"

Rhyds:"from the window. I kept myself concealed."

Me:"why couldn't you just knock like a normal person?"

Rhyds:"because I'm not normal am I?" He says grinning. And I feel all the annoyance melt away as I grin back. "So you want me to sleep in the spare room?"

Me:"NO!" I quickly half shout. He laughs as he turns of the light. I hear him take his clothes of and pull on his night pants. I pull the duvet back and he slips in besides me.

Rhyds:"mads is this my top?" He asks as he slides his arm across my waist.

Me:"maybe." I smile into his neck placing small soft kisses on it." He pulls me closer and I feel him chuckle.

Rhyds:"what am I going to do with you?"

Me:"I'm sure you'll think of something." I say as his lips cover mine.

It was afternoon and the six of us friend and all our parents, Mia and Brian and the rest of the family in Rhydian's case were sat around the huge dining table in Rhydian's house. We were discussing colleges.

Mrs. O:"but why so far? Why London?"

Mrs. K:"she's right why so far Shannon?"

Shan:"mum it's a really highly rated college."

Tom:"yeah. And mum it'll be a great learning experience."

Mrs. G:"I think the kids are right. If Ava's happy with it then that's fine by with me no matter how much I miss her."

Mrs. A:"Harry must you go to the same college. Why can't you go to a different one. You know your father and I have applied for a music college."

Harry:"mum these are my best friends. They're family. This college in London do music too. I don't want to go anywhere else."

Mrs. A:"as you wish son." She says with a slight smile. The rest of us are sat silently as we've already had this discussion in the morning.

*back to this morning over breakfast*

Mam:"Rhydian. Maddy. Pets me and Mia and your dad and everyone have been talking. We've done some research and we've found a college in London. Dom Han and Brian have been to check the place out and there are no other wolfbloods that live in that area not that it would have been a problem. But we think that you should go to a college away from here to move away from the place for a while. I mean everything you guys went through this last year you need a break and a new place where no one knows you so no one can suspect. And we know that you probably didn't want to split from your friends so when we called we asked how many places they had and they do have 6 places. Now we've called the rest of the parents over to discuss their kids going too but we wanted to talk to you first so that we can at least apply for you guys."

Me and Rhydian had looked at each other and through our minds had agreed we would do this. It was our safest option as long as we were together. We told mam we were fine with it then went to call our friends to let them know in advance. Now here we were sat having this discussion.

*back to the present*

Mrs. O:"Emma your sure it's a good safe place. And they'll be taken care of properly?"

Mam:"yes. Brian, Dom and Han went yesterday and checked it out themselves."

Mrs. G:"well if this is what the kids want and they're happy I don't see the problem."

Ava:"thanks mum."

So they'd all agreed and had stayed for dinner. After dinner we all decided to go home. Since me and Rhydian were staying here we went up to our room after wishing mam and dad goodbye and good night. We curled up together under the duvet and fell asleep.

That week at school was the busiest week I have ever had. Me and Rhydian barely got a moment to ourselves. Exams were coming up in 2 weeks. The K's had everyone planning the prom with them and were being the nicest they had ever been. Rhydian found out the reason why Jimi had been in the girls bathroom the day of the fire. Jimi and Kara had been talking that day and Jimi had asked Kara out. Liam and Katrina hooked up and Sam managed to bag kay. Plus there was this surprise that Mr Jeffries Rhydian Mia and the rest of Rhydian's family were working on. It was annoying that I was the only one in the house that didn't know.

Jack and Nicko were growing up so fast. I fell more in love with them each day. They became very close to me and dear to me. I could now play the drums so me Rhydian Shan Harry Ava and Tom decided to form our own band. After listening to us our class decided that we should play at our own prom, but Tom should have a playlist so that we could also join in. We were revising every night now and even Rhydian seemed to be putting his head down. The school was finally finished and it looked amazing. Mia tej and suki had begun to teach.

Even though it was so hectic this is the happiest I ever remember being and I knew it could only get better. We'd all applied for the college in London and had got the places. At first Brian and Dom had insisted that we have our own place in London but I told Rhydian I wasn't comfortable with that and neither were the rest of our group as we knew Dom and Brian would buy an extravagant place and not let anyone pay. We finally convinced them that we wanted to be like the rest of the kids and live in the house near the school.

Rhydian had been spoiling me rotten. He had got me a new iPhone like his own and he was constantly showering me with gifts. My favourite so far was a large hoody that had Maddian written on the back with a picture of me and him in our wolf forms beneath it. I saw a whole new side to Rhydian in this way and he had started to open up to me. We were closer than we had ever been before. I remember talking to gran about our love becoming less as we grew older but she told me it would only ever get stronger. We received the news that whitewood had killed herself. She had overdosed on her drugs trying to make her doctors believe in werewolves. We attended the funeral out of respect for another human. we realised that we were the only ones who had turned up.

Exams had come and gone. Apparently we had all done well. Shopping for prom had been completed and college applications sent and accepted. Where interviews were necessary they had also been attended. Full moons were the best. Even tough we spent them in the den the den had increased in size due to the tunnel Liam had found. Dad had gone to the council and apparently by law we owned all of that land.

Me Shan and Ava were at my house huddled in my room getting ready for prom. The boys were at Rhydian's house. Rhydian had called me like 50 times already just to say he missed me. He really was sweet. The girls kept teasing me saying he loved me so much but I managed to get my own back on them. Mum had come in to help us. The K's had been strict on the fact that ball gowns had to be worn. So here I stood in a baby blue floor length dress. I looked like a princess and I actually didn't mind. The three of us had decided to go for the same dress but in different colours. Shannon's was a plum colour and Ava's was red. Mum did our hair and Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Grey had joined us to help. Mrs grey did our makeup as mrs Kelly did our nails and accessories. We all looked beautiful. Mum stood us in the garden insisting the scenery was too beautiful to miss and took pictures. Now all we had to do was wait for the boys.

Hey guys I know it's short and it's not that great and it's really late but I have exams and I'm revising like crazy and I've also been in hospital for a while. well as you can tell my life's been really hectic. But I do hope you enjoy it. This is more of a filler because I had to fast forward because as you know this story is coming to an end. Not to worry there is a sequel and after the sequel a trilogy :) So I hope you like it thank you for all the lovely reviews. Last thing.
