courtney's pov:

me and bridgette saying goodbye as i walk into my house.

i grab a pen from a drawer in the kitchen and grab the allowance sheet for the trip.

i write my mom's signature, i've been doing this for years. mom is never here so i have to get creative, right?

i click the pen back inside and set it down. i set the paper down neatly inside of my bag and walk upstairs to my bedroom.

i plop on my bed and close my eyes. i hear my phone buzz from my nightstand and i look over to it.

i sit up and grab my phone.

me: yes, hi.

i quickly respond.

duncan:you get your parent to sign the paper?

me: of course , i wouldn't want to miss it.

duncan: lmao 😉

i set my phone down after that text and i feel weird.

like sick to my stomach.
