Talia Rue Ashenstone had known Thorin Oakenshield all of her life. From running around the halls of Erebor in their youth to running into battle, they had always been the closest of friends, always at each other's side. But when life turned sour for the dwarves and the wounds inflicted throughout their lives piled high, they knew that some things just wouldn't heal. And no matter how deep their love for one another grew, they were heavily burdened people, beaten down for every last breath they took in the harsh world. But those two... They would always fight back. This is a Fanfiction following the adventures of Thorin Oakenshield prior to and during J.R.R. Tolkien's novel, the Hobbit.
