1(Descendants)

An Au where soulmates exists but it is rare to find them as you only get your soulmark after a certain moment between you and your soulmate which may never happen or when it does you could already be married as in most cases.

Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos were soulmates and had received their soulmarks as they saved each other from their parents(what the soulmark is, it's up to the writer) and they have been closer then anyone since then.

When they heard about them being sent to Auradon and had to steal the fairy godmother's wand they were unsure about it but they knew they had to do it to stay safe from their parents so they played along with their parents wants.

Of course that they weren't expecting to meet a trio of soulmates(Ben, Audrey and Chad) when they first arrived in Auradon as they had never met other people with soulmates in the Isle.

So, unlike canon, their first meeting went better and the VKs decided to trust the other group of soulmates(not completely).

Meaning, that there won't be Chad using Evie or Mal using a love potion on Ben just them growing to trust the royal trio and becoming friends with them until they open up about being soulmates and what their parents wanted them to do.

This probably makes no sense but the rest of things like how to fill the plot holes, how all this changes canon, etc is up to the writer
