27 - Wonder

Kyeom pov.

"Dude stop shaking. If you don't want to tell us I'll tell them a nonsense story. " Hoshi said to me as I struggled to tell them the story from the start. I know I should tell them because they have the right to know the dangers that I probably put on them.

"No you guys need to know.." I said. I could feel Hoshi's hand grabbing me right now.

"Kyeom, are we in real danger?" Asked Cheol in a very serious tone. I can't believe that I thought everything will turn out fine in the long run. Ofcourse it's gonna be more complicated than that.

"Honestly, I have no idea. Joshi has kept me in the dark too. But I need to tell you guys what happened in the past. From the switch." I told them and they all looked at me.

"What switch?" Wonu asked.

Then I proceeded to tell them everything from the start. From the time I found out Joshua wasn't Joshua, to our last time seeing each other. Some parts were very cloudy to me already especially his family. But I tried to tell them all to them and by the time I finished everyone was staring in space. Especially, Wonu and Hoshi.

"Okey so let me get this straight. Joshua is not Joshua. He's in trouble so Joshi his freaking twin pretended to be him. You guys started dating then Joshua was again in trouble. So Joshi pretended to be him again?!? But this time the fucking devil that took him knew that he was not Joshua.. so he's threatening you and us so you can bring the real Joshua to him?!?" Hoshi suddenly said as he tried to absorb everything I just said.

"That's one way to put it." I said and they looked at me again.

"I don't know what to say. So you've been lying to us all this time? I didn't even know you were good at lying." Wonu said softly and this broke my heart. He looked hurt and couldn't even look me in the eyes.

"Yes and I didn't mean to.. i wanted to protect Joshi too." I said and he nodded not saying anything more.

Then I felt Hoshi letting go of my hand and standing up. He placed his hands on his head and paced around thinking. I hurt my closest friends and I didn't mean it. I just don't know how to fix it.

"Kyeom this is bigger than us. Do you think that we should get the police involved?" Woozi suddenly said and all eyes were on him.

"I don't think that would be a wise idea. Hearing Kyeom's story, they might get the wrong idea." Vernon suddenly said in a very serious tone. He has been silent this whole time too.

"Okey as the eldest among us. I wanna say that we should all think about what Kyeom just told us and think of a game plan.. unfortunately we are all confused and connected to this." He said and we all sit there in silence again well not until Gyu suddenly stood up.

"Wonu let's go. I think we should all go. Especially you Kyeom." Gyu suddenly said breaking the awkward silence.

"What? Where? Now?" He asked confused and I looked at Gyu who is now wearing a very serious expression.

"Dude what are you talking about" Hoshi asked.

"We are all in danger. I don't want to be rude but staying here listening to this is getting us more involved in this shit." He said and I knew he was right. I was holding on to my tears already but I expected this reaction already.

"Gyu. Relax" Vernon said as he held on to Gyu's shoulder.

"Relax? I know everyone is thinking about the same thing." He said and this time I opted to go.

"Gyu. We are all scared but running away and blaming each other wont be a great thing to do right now. We need to level our heads." Woozi said trying to put out fires Gyu is starting.

"No He's right. I'm sorry. I should go. This was a bad idea from the start" I said honestly.

"Okey I don't like using this card but this my house so I'm telling everyone that nobody is going anywhere. Especially now that we just had a gun fired at us. How is it the sane decision to go right now?" Hoshi said that made us all keep quiet. He had a point.

"I'm sorry Kyeom. I don't know what he's thinking right now." Wonu said as he slapped his head really forcefully.

"Ow" Gyu complained. I would have laughed at Gyu being manhandled but now isn't a great time.

"It's fine. He's right after all. I'm sorry for getting you all wrapped up in this mess." I said.

"It's alright. We're glad you opened up about this." Wonu said to me.

Then all of a sudden there was a knock on the door. A very aggressive one. In shock Wonu and I hugged each other like scared bunnies and Hoshi cursed too.

"Who the hell is that now?!?" Woozi whispered as he went closer to us. This is more like a group hug now.

"Guys! Open up! It's me Kwan!" He said behind the door.

"That dumb guy! I told him not to go back!" Vernon literally ran to the door opened it and grabbed Kwan to the bedroom where all of us were sitting. Then he held Kwan and hugged him.

"I was so worried with you out there! But why didn't you listen when I told you not to come back." Vernon almost shouted.

"I honestly didn't read past the text after you texted that you guys got shot. Stop shouting!" He said and then bit his teeth to stop himself from crying. We all know Kwan is a crier but didn't expect him to cry right now.

"Oh. Oh I'm sorry. Please don't cry." Vernon said as he hugged his boyfriend.

"I was so worried." He said. And I got even more guilty.

"No it's fine now. Kyeom told us everything. I should catch you up" He said as he comforted Kwan.

"Actually... Joshua already did" he suddenly said and we all looked at him.

"I'm sorry who?!?" Hoshi asked to make sure.

"Joshua talked to me earlier. I thought he was the only one in trouble now you guys are too. Well that includes me but besides the point, he told me everything. And I don't blame you Kyeom. So stop making that face right now." He said as he saw me looking at him.

"I can't help it." I said honestly.

"Don't worry. My father's willing to help. Well now that I'm involved." He said and we all looked confused.

"No offense boo. But dad is a simple man. How is your father gonna help?" Vernon asked confused as well and Kwan looked very conflicted.

"Just trust me on this alright? I'm going to explain everything next time alright?" He said and we all nodded.

"I asked my father to secure the place so everyone can relax now... in the mean time." He said and I was even more thankful that Kwan is here. I don't know what shady business his father is from but he's definitely confident so I trust him.

"Thank you Kwan. Why don't we all rest? We all had a long night." Cheol said.

"Rest might be the wrong term here." Woozi muttered.

"Just try alright? If it makes you guys feel more secure we can all sleep in the same room." Cheol suggested.

"I'm definitely in." Gyu said and everyone agreed too. We all placed extra beds in Hoshi's room and slept on the floor. His bedroom is pretty spacious so it was no problem at all.

We got settled and as we were fixing things Gyu approached me.

"Kyeom I'm sorry for what I said earlier." He said softly.

"Nah.. it's partly my fault." I said trying to comfort him.

"No. I have no excuse I was being a jerk." He said and I looked at him.

"Seriously it's fine. Come here" I said as I gave him a hug.

"I still can't believe it, I didn't know my friend Joshua switched though. Props to you for finding out right away." He said as he stopped the hug.

"Well, if you've been a fan of him for a long time, then you'll pretty much know right away." I said and he laughed.

"I guess nothing beats a dedicated fan like you. And despite being scared earlier, I'm here for you."  He said and I smiled at him.

"Scaredy cat." I joked and he chuckled.

"What?? I still wanna have a family. With Wonu!" He said and I just shook my head. He's so advance in thinking.

"Hey Hoshi need help?" I said as I saw him struggling to put on the extra sheets.

"I'm good" he said and I looked at him. Oh he's mad.

"Hoshi. Are you alright?" I asked him.

"I said it's fine." He said and I looked at him as he struggled. Why is he being stubborn right now.

"Kyeom, he's sulking because you lied to him." Woozi suddenly said behind me.

"Babe!" Hoshi scolded Woozi but Woozi just rolled his eyes and helped the others too.

"Are you really mad at me right now? I really could use a best friend right about now.." i said and he stopped and glared at me while pouting.

"You should've told me!" He suddenly shouted a little too loud.

"That's our cue.." cheol said as he let go of the pillows and went outside together with the others.

"I know I should have. But I don't want you to get in danger like right now." I said and he looked at me.

"You wouldn't have carried this alone if you did..." he said with a sad face.

"I know.. totally my fault." I told him and he walked towards me.

"Never lie to me again... please? I don't wanna see you suddenly on the news and regret everything I could've done." He said and I chuckled a little.

"Alright alright i get it. Stop pouting and let me help you already." I said and he hugged me and i hugged him back.

"You're such a baby can't even put on bed sheets." I said and he stuck his tongue to me like a child.

"It looks like your brother doesn't even care for you..willing to make you suffer like this.." i could hear faint sounds and as well as the people around me talking to me. Am I in the hospital? Everything is white.

"Oh looks like he's awake." The guy in black said as I struggled to make my vision clearer.

"Where am I?" I struggled to get my words out.

"Shut up and call Joshua. He's the one I need, though I enjoy torturing you, he needs to pay for my loss." He said and I sat down slowly.

"I would never lead you to my brother." I said and he laughed.

"Acting all mighty after fainting? I admire your dedication but I have no need for that. He killed the love of my life! His own step mother." He said and I looked at him.

"She's not dead, she's just in a coma!" I said.

"She's dead!" He shouted at me.

"What?" I asked in shock.

"She's dead! And you both are gonna pay for it." He said and I realized that this was more than just revenge. He's sick to the head. He likes to make people suffer.

Then he started to make his way towards me. Just as he did, I noticed my hands are still tied up in the bed. What the hell is he gonna do now? I struggled to get it off and then I heard him chuckle.

"Not so brave now? What happened to the guy that surrendered himself to me days ago? What a dumb move." He mocked me and I glared at him.

"If you want revenge. Just kill me already! Leave my family and friends alone." I said and then he laughed even more. Does he find this situation funny?!?

"Kill you? And where's the fun in that?" He said and I looked at him then suddenly the door opened.

"How's the patient doing?" The doctor with the lab coat entered and I thought that this was my chance to go? I didn't wanna stay here if he continued to torture my close friends and my brother even if he had me-already.

"Help me! He kidnaped me and He's torturing me.! Please call for help!" I shouted and he looked so shocked even Eric looked shocked about what I just said. (Eric is his nickname)

"What?" The doctor asked and then suddenly pushed the button in the room for emergency. Eric tried to stop the doctor but he has already called for help.

"What the hell did you do?" Eric shouted and quickly walked towards the doctor with his knife. He immediately placed the knife into his neck and the doctor stopped pushing the call button.

"Get your hands off me." The doctor said and then they both suddenly started laughing. The fuck?

"Really? That was your best acting?" Eric suddenly said and I realized that it was all just a trick. He knows the doctor. They are all just monsters. Why would they bother getting me better when he's just gonna torture me right back.

"You guys are together?!" I finally said.

"He's my brother. Unlike yours he got my back all the time." Eric suddenly said and I glared at both of them as they continued to laugh.

"He's right. Actually I came here because I'm clearing him for discharge." His brother said and I looked at Eric.

"Alright then. I'm taking him home." Eric said as he called his guard and took me away from the room.

"No! Let go of me!" I shouted.

"Come on. You were so obedient the last time.." he said and I looked at the guards coming towards me. I noticed a phone on one of the guards and that's exactly what I needed.

Before they could place a black cloth in my eyes. I struggled and pretended to have a tantrum just for them not to notice me stealing the phone on one of the guards. I kicked them punched them but they punched my stomach which made me wince in pain. I tried struggling but it was no help, I was weak and definitely naive. I should've made a better plan. I was a dumb person that thought he was gonna let everything go if I decided to surrender myself. Fuck!

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" I shouted as I saw something horrible in my dream. It was not clear but definitely it was about Joshi.

"What!?!? What?!?" Hoshi panicked with his eyes still close. Everyone was suddenly awaked.

"No! No! No! We're too young to die!" Gyu shouted like a little girl. He said as he hugged Wonu who is now half awake.

"Shhhhhhhhh guys this is too early for everything" cheol said to all of us to calm us all down. Well my bad. I was the one who started the mess.

"Sorry... I had a bad dream." I said to them and Kwan went beside me.

"It's fine.. but wake me up like that again, I might strangle you." He whispered the last part and I was even more scared. Then Vernon grabbed his boyfriend and mouthed sorry to me. I smiled at their silliness but all I was thinking about was the letter yesterday.

"Sooo... what are we gonna do now?" Wonu suddenly said and they all looked at me.

"Actually... I have no idea. But any suggestions are open guys." I said honestly. We all went silent and then there was a sudden ring on my phone.

"Ahhhhhhhhh! Damn it! Can we just put our cellphones on silent." Hoshi said as he got shocked again.

"Dude would you relax." Woozi said to his recently boyfriend.

"Yeah dude that's embarrassing." Gyu said.

"Says the guy who screams like a girl." Wonu teased him and he pouted.

"Dude sorry it's mine." I said as I answered the unknown call.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Kyeom? Is that you?!? Thank God!" I heard Joshi's voice on the phone.

"JOSH!?!?" I shouted and everyone looked at me. I placed it on speaker as everyone was already behind me trying to listen beside my ear.

"Doesn't sound like him" wonu mumbled.

"Shhhhh everyone shhhh." Cheol said and we let Joshi speak.

"I need your help. I'm so sorry for leaving you. I was wrong I was so wrong. I already texted you the address.. I can't call any longer. Please get help...." Then the call was cut off.

"Okey that is some weird shady stuff right there!" Vernon said and we all looked at him because he was the first to panic.

"Relax babe this is nothing like the last time. I'm right here" Kwan said and we all looked at him.

"What do you mean? What happened to both of you?" Woozi asked.

"Dude, you don't wanna know." Vernon said.

"What the hell do we do?" Hoshi said as we looked at each other.

"Why are you looking at me? I can barely control my own life right now." Wonu said and then looked at Gyu.

"Me? I was so against this all from the start. Willing to help but no plan here." He said.

"Everyone relax. Why is the first thing you guys do is panic all the time. I feel like a dad trying to control the mess all the time" cheol complained as we all looked at him.

"Give me the address first." He said and I gave him my phone.

"Alright. This is not that far. We can all go get help. Kwan, I don't know what connection you have with the guards outside but I bet they are willing to help us right?" Cheol said to Kwan.

"Maybe I should just tell you. Vernon cover your ears". He said and Vernon looked at him confused.

"I'm not a kid Boo. I can handle it." He said but Boo was very hesitant. But then Vernon held his hands.

"My father was a former mafia. I'm so sorry Vernon this is not the way I wanted to tell you." He said and Vernon let go of his hands.

"What????" He said as he stood up and paced himself in the room.

"Vernon relax!" Cheol said as he made Vernon sit.

"Boo, you know what happened to me." Vernon said and we all went silent. We don't know what happened but this was between them.

"Bon, this is.. this is different definitely different. My father doesn't go and kidnap innocent people. He's one of the few good ones. Please don't be scared of me.. please just do this for Kyeom. And Joshua.. He needs this too." Kwan said and we all looked at both of them. I don't know what happened between the two of them but it sounds so serious.

"Vernon.. I'm so sorry for asking you to do this. I don't wanna be the reason that both of you will have a hard time but please.." i pleaded.

"Damn it." He said.

"Bon, can you forgive me for lying?" I noticed Kwan was about to literally cry. Vernon looked at his boyfriend and just thought for a second.

"It's fine.. I didn't mean to lash out. I was just.. i just.." Vernon was about to explain but then Kwan hugged him.

"I know.. i'm sorry." Kwan said softly.

"I feel like we shouldn't be here." Wonu said and Kwan looked at him.

"I guess we could all keep this as a secret right? Only all of us here in the room can know." Kwan said.

"Yes. And may I just add... really cool dude." Hoshi said giving a thunbs up to Kwan who looked at Hoshi like he was crazy. I'm glad he finds this entertaining.

"Our mouths are closed" wonu said and glared at Gyu.

"Yeah I know. I wont betray you guys. Why do you always assume the worst in me." Gyu complained.

"Well given your history....." Kwan said probably teasing Gyu too.

"Come on." He said sulking and pouted the entire time.

"Alright here's the plan." Cheol said as he started saying some stuff even I have no idea how to pull.

"It's really dangerous for you guys to be a part of this.. maybe I should just do this alone?" I suddenly said.

"Kyeom you can't even feed yourself." Kwan said with an annoying face and I looked at him.

"When are you gonna let that one go? I'm eating properly now." I said and he just laughed.

"Yeah right. We are definitely coming with you. And we'll be bringing Kwan's bodyguards." Hoshi said confidently. He's very comfortable with the mafia idea right now. This guy really.

"Kyeom. He didn't just threatened you but all of us. And despite you guys tricking us, Joshi became a part of our friend group. We can't just leave him alone." Cheol said and I nodded. I'm so lucky to have them.

"Thank you guys." I said.

"Now listen up. This is the plan." Cheol said. We all listened this time. Remembering everything that Cheol has planned. I just hope no one get's hurt.

Unknown pov.

"They are definitely falling for that trap sir." My butler said to me as he handed me drinks.

"Why are you doing this?!?" Joshi shouted but I don't feel like listening to him anymore so I grabbed the tape beside me and covered his mouth up.

"You know I liked you better silent. And out of my life." I said and laughed at his face. He struggled to get out of the rope binding him to the chair but it's no use.

"More drinks sir?" My butler said and I smiled as he topped up my wine.

"This is going to be so fun." I said and laughed as Joshi looked at me with eyes that could literally kill somebody.

"Ohhhhh?? You have something to say?!? Too bad... i hate noisy guys like you." I teased him.

"Sir you look happy." My butler commented.

"I am. FINALLY SOMETHING EXCITING IS HAPPENING." i said as I smiled at Joshi's face.
