28- It all make sense now

Kyeom pov.

"Okey can we stop now? My body is killing me. I feel like jelly already." I complained and dropped to the ground. You ask why? Well my good friend Kwan has made it his life's duty to help up all protect ourselves during the raid. Yup a raid. I don't know what we were all thinking when we all agreed to this. Everything happened so fast and I can't even catch up to the fact that we have reached this point already. Kwan's father pulled some strings and we have the same location as what Joshi sent me. So it will probably be the most dangerous trip we are going to do.

"Heard anything from Joshua?" Kwan asked.

"Nothing at all. Also Joshi has not called again." I said to him and he looked at me.

"Well we have not heard from the both of them. The threats have been minimal to nothing. What is happening... it's a little suspicious." He said and then Gyu and Wonu came to us after running their lap as well.

"Okey.. this is getting out of hand. Wonu's so tired he can't even walk at this point and I'm barely standing." Gyu complained.

"Would you both stop being over dramatic. And you guys still have 2 laps left. Remember, your task is the most taxing part of the plan. You both are definitely gonna thank me after this." Kwan said and they just ran again without saying anything. Wonu was already almost in tears, poor guy.

"Vernon reporting for Boyfriend duties!" Suddenly Vernon entered and saluted like a kid.

"Awee so cute." Kwan said as he gave him a peck on the lips.

"Yeah whatever. I don't like whatever you guys are doing but I can't let you guys starve so I brought a little something." He said as his bodyguard's entered with the food.

"Dude that's not a little something, that's a feast." I said as I saw the food piling on the table.

"Well we can't let you guys get hangry here. Tomorrow is a pretty big day. I still vote on letting the police know." He mumbled the last part.

"Bon.." Kwan looked at him and he raised both his hands.

"Alright I'll stop. Just please don't get hurt. And I mean that to all of you." Vernon looked at me but obviously mostly about Kwan let's be honest.

"Alright. We got all the necessary things for the raid." Cheol said coming inside like the leader that he is. Oh right we already appointed one, these might seem silly but having Cheol and Kwan really helped us all. I'm so glad I have them both.

"Why are you bringing this now?" Hoshi asked suddenly.

"Oh you didn't get my message? We're coming tonight." He said nonchalantly like that was something we all expected.

"WHAT?!??" We all said at the same time.

"Could you repeat that one more time?!?" Kwan was the first one that shouted.

"Well.. the plan is ready already. Everyone is here tonight and there was a little hiccup for tomorrow..." he said as he looked at the ceiling.

"What hiccup?" I asked.

"Well... Jeonghan's coming home and I don't want him joining us tomorrow. He heard about the plan and he's taking the flight now." He said and I looked at his worried face.

"He sneaked out?!?" Wonu asked.

"Yes and he's going to be in a lot of trouble now. I don't want him in danger." Cheol explained.

"Are we really doing this?!" Gyu asked in fear.

"We have too. I'm sorry for involving you guys, cheol's right. The less people involved in this, the less problems we have. If only I could do it alone I would have already." I said to them.

"Dude you're overthinking again. We want to help." Cheol said once again putting me out of the darkness.

"Thank you. And I'm so sorry" i said genuinely.

"Hey, you didn't ask for this." Hoshi said as he comforted me and stroked my back.

"Thank you." I said softly.

"Alright. Because of this brand new information, we're all gonna get ready and be back here in 10. Don't be late." Boo said.

"You know you're scary." I mumbled but he heard it.

"Well what are you guys waiting for?" He asked and I just laughed. Well at-least I have them. As soon as we all got ready we all went into van without talking to each other. The pressure was getting to us all. Well mostly to me, if anything happens to any of them, it will be all on me.

We arrived in a somewhat secluded place behind the forest. I looked around and it looked like a perfect place for something suspicious to occur. It looked like an abandoned warehouse.

"What's with the get up?" I asked as soon as I saw Kwan in an all black mafia like outfit that made him look so serious I can't even recognize my friend. Then I noticed everyone was wearing the same thing and looking at me weird.

"Okey you're the weird one here wearing a blue jersey." Wonu teased and chuckled.

"Seriously? That's what you're wearing to a raid?" Kwan asked. Then I looked at myself in the reflection.

"What? It's dark enough. And I wanna be able to carry everything in my bag." I said to them.

"What is even in your bag? Just leave it.." Cheol suggested and I did.

"This route will take us to the place and before we go, let's review everyone's role." Kwan said leading the planning.

"We are part of the distraction team and first line of defense. Together with Wonu ofcourse." Gyu said.

"Good. And you?" Kwan pointed to Hoshi.

"I'm gonna support you in getting the kidnappers identity and hopefully still live after that." Hoshi jokes but I just glared at him.

"And my main goal is to find Joshi." I said.

"Alright the rest... go with one of my father's guard and try to subtract their defenses.. the guards know what to do.." Kwan explained.

"This all sounds so easy in our head." Woozi said and chuckled a little.

"I know and I can't believe no one has noticed us until now." Hoshi said suddenly.

"You're right. Why is there no guards outside? Oh wait the there are actually a lot. My bad, why did they suddenly multiplied?" Kwan said suspiciously.

"Did they know we were coming?" Cheol asked.

"No that can't be. My father's spy was his most loyal one of all. I'm confident about his information to my father." Kwan said.

"He's right. Let's proceed with caution and remember that in difficult times don't hesitate to save yourself. The less casualties the better." Woozi said and we all looked at him.

"Dude you're scaring Gyu." I said and the big puppy nodded.

"Dude relax!" Wonu said as he hit Gyu.

"Ow." He said and sulked.

"Okey let's meet as soon as I give the signal that it's safe." I said and we all linked our hands and dispersed. 

"Here I'll give Johnny with you. Make sure he lives." Kwan said as he told me to go with one of his father's guards.

And as soon as we hear Gyu and Wonu it's go time.

"Good luck guys." I said and they both walked towards the warehouse calmly and as planned.

"I told you we were lost! Where the hell even are we?!?" Wonu suddenly shouted and it was the signal for us to begin the infiltration as Kwan described. There were 2 guards outside the door. They immediately looked at both my friends.

"I was just following the map!" Gyu shouted back.

"I'm sorry but this is a private property. You can't come in." One of the tall guards said to stop both of them. I noticed the guns they have and I immediately regretted all this.

"Oh sorry sir, my friend here has no idea where we are and I really need to get back to my father's cabin or I'll be grounded for life." Wonu complained like a spoiled bratt. They were pretty convincing for a fake situation not gonna lie.

"Don't call me a friend when you caused all this." Gyu suddenly said and pushed Wonu a little too hard.

"Did you just push me?!?" Wonu commented and pushed Gyu back harder than he did. Gyu took 3 steps back and glared at Wonu.

Then all of a sudden they both started hitting each other. I have no idea if this was still pretend but there was punching and pushing and kicking as if these guys hate each other. The people in-front of them started panicking and calling people over to stop the both of them. This was the signal for Hoshi's team to start the trying to get inside.

They slowly walked towards the exit where two guards left their post to look at the problem Gyu and Wonu were making as of right now.

I followed behind them as they didn't even made a sound.

"Alright.. we'll check the second floor and you guys find something important here." Kwan said in a very soft voice, not to arise suspicion.

"Alright I'll check the pool area. In the picture he sent me, it was behind this door." I said to Kwan.

"Alright we'll leave you to your fate! Goodluck don't get killed." He said as he slap my butt oh so softly. I chuckled lightly and waved at him goodbye. Now it was just me and Johnny. He was very observant and very quick in his movements.

"Alright looks like the coast is clear... I'm going to open the door now." Johnny said and I gulped the saliva in my mouth seriously my heart was beating so loudly.

"Let's do this." I said then he opened the door. then all of a sudden Johnny was down. It all happened so fast. I looked back to see him on the ground. I was about to go towards him when all of a sudden I was punched by someone on my stomach. I tried to look at the person that hit me but my vision was blurry due to the increased pain.

Then darkness.......

"Let him go!" I shouted at my brother. This freaking bastard. If he wanted to hurt all this time why did he pretend to need my help. I don't get it at all!

"Hey... he's my friend and I'm not gonna hurt your little boyfriend. I was just testing his tolerance. Looks like it's pretty low." He said as he touched Kyeom's hair. What the hell is wrong with him?!?

"What the hell even is your problem. You already have me! What else do you need?!?." I said and glared at him.

" I think you're confused Bro... I don't need you at all. I just want you to suffer. Everything happened because of you. You came into my life and everything I had was gone... my fiancé... my father's trust... my life! I planned everything and you ruined it." He said and I noticed Kyeom waking up.

"What do you mean?" I heard Kyeom whispered.

"Oh looks like he's awake. You wouldn't believe that I am just playing around this time right? Or would you? Because of how gullible you all are?"  He mocked both of us and Kyeom looked at me.

"You tricked us?" Kyeom asked with the palest face I ever saw him. He must be hurt. If only I could hug him right now.

"Well... technically.. yes... but hey I didn't mean to include you with this! You just happened to be always... I mean ALWAYS there... you like me that damn much huh? Probably because of my face?" He laughed at Kyeom. He stayed silent looking at the ground.

"Tell me why are you doing this? When I was finally glad to meet another family of mine...." I said.

"Boo hoo. Should I cry right now?." Joshua said and I glared at him.

"Tell us...." Kyeom said softly.

"Oh he's mad now? hahahahahahahhah." Joshua laughed at Kyeom again.

"TELL US!" He shouted with tears in his face.

"Alright. Since you beg so nicely. Where the hell do I start? Oh alright then... let's start when my idiot of a brother showed up to my ever so dead step mom, may she doesn't rest in peace. I knew she wanted to take me out of the picture a long time ago... so I pretended to get kidnapped... and luckily you showed up. Her focus was entirely to you because you became me. And i had time to get my revenge to her." He said and I looked at him.

"So it's not true that She didn't killed your fiancé?" I asked.

"Shut your mouth. But that part was true alright. And don't interrupt me when I'm talking little brother." He said as he slapped me in the face.

"She killed her. Which is why I burned her house. But that's old news bro. As I was saying... our father somehow knew about you. He knew about how you have your own business and run it like a pro. He investigated you and told his men that his blood runs through your veins proudly. He has never said that to me. And I did everything for him! I enrolled into business schools and worked at some of his branches just to make him happy. I don't even like business! But all that was not enough for him! And worse is.. he wanted to see you. He completely forgot about me. I become top in my school, the president and joined him in every event he wants. I became his perfect replica. Yet he's still obsessed with you?!? And he only knew about you for more than a month! How the hell am I supposed to compete with that?!? And now He wants to split his fortune to both of us and I can't have that... can I?" He said with a scary smile.

"You can have it all! Just for some money?!?! How shallow are you?!?" I shouted.

"Oh everyone's world moves around money... I'm just honest enough to say it out loud" he winked and I just looked at Kyeom who looked so mad.

"So you sent your ex to spy on all of us.? You threatened my friends just to make Joshi surrender to you?!? You did all of this for some money?" Kyeom asked Joshua softly. I could hear the anger in his words but he kept his composure.

"Some money? Are you kidding me? I did that for 200 billion dollars. 200 million. That's how our father's life is worth. With that kind of money I wont need to even lift a finger to live." He said.

"You're just a scum aren't you?! A useless lazy fucking psycho!" Kyeom exploded suddenly. We both looked at him in shock as he shouted at Joshua.

"Oh... he's mad mad.." Joshua teasingly said.

"Just let us go! I will never show my face to you and father.. or better yet.. take me like you wanted why did you even bring Kyeom here. " i begged.

"Oh that's the fun part... I wanna take something important to you. And I'm guessing Kyeomi is one of them? Next to your mother I guess?." He said.

"She's our mom! And don't you dare lay a finger on her or else...." Then he cut me off laughing.

"Mother??? After she left me and chose you? Like picking a toy from a play store?" He said and scoffed.

"Joshua!" I shouted.

"Shut your mouth! I just can't do anything to her now because she's under father's care. So that leaves little Kyeomi here." He said as he stroked Kyeomi's hair.

"Joshua! How could you do this... we were friends...i opened up to you.. " Kyeom said while crying.. he must be so hurt.

"Kyeom.." he suddenly said and stopped.

All of a sudden Joshua's face changed. He looked at Kyeom and then back to me. He looked lost.

"Joshua?" I asked and he looked at me...

"Why are you guys here?!??" He shouted and we both looked at him like he was a lunatic. Then he looked at us both.

"I... I... let me help you! What happened!?!" He shouted and I was so confused that I thought I was dreaming.. what the hell is this about?!? It's like a different person. He helped me with the bandage in my hands and both Kyeom and I looked at each other.

Then as soon as he freed my hands I landed a punch on him.

"That's for being the selfish prick that you are!" I shouted at him.

"The hell bro! I'm helping you out! I don't even get what's wrong with you!" He said but I punched him again. A little too much if I may say because he fell to the ground. I helped Kyeom up and we ran away from Joshua who is now starting to gain consciousness from falling down.

"Are you alright?!? What the hell is wrong with Joshua?!?" He asked me as I held his hands and ran.

Then we both saw him running towards us. He was calling someone on the walkie  talky  as he did. His expression seemed different than it did a while ago.

"What are you doing?!? Stop looking back and run faster!" I shouted at Kyeom. But then all of a sudden a large man in glasses stopped both of us from our tracks. He had a knife in his hands and then two more guys came behind him. I immediately placed Kyeom behind me and then I looked back to see my brother  Joshua was already behind us. Damn it.

"Don't you think it's rude running away from a party without saying goodbye to the host?" Joshua said as he panted as soon as he caught up to us.

"Is something wrong with your head?" I said to him and then he chuckled.

"Well that's rude to say to your brother? Isn't it?" He said smirking again. Gone is the innocent face a while ago. He's scarier than I thought.

As we were cornered I saw something unexpected. From the corner of my eye I could see Kwan behind the door. He looked at me and then looked at the switch behind him. I held Kyeom s hand to prepare. Kwan was gonna turn off the lights to give us an opening.

Then I saw another person I didn't expect. Hoshi was on the other side with Woozi. They both were holding stun guns. I could see them getting ready. Hoshi pointed at his stun gun and then pointed it at the guys cornering us. That's when I realized that Kyeom didn't come here alone and not without any plan. Glad he did.

"Come on brother. I just wanted us to see each other for the last time.. and you know go back to the way things are.. you know.. the time where I'm the only Joshua that matters right??" Joshua suddenly said which brought me back to the situation.

"You're seriously not in the right mind. We can get you help. Just let us go." I said calmly as I analyzed the situation. If I make him angry now, we wont have the time to run especially since he's holding a gun right now. The stakes are different, he could fire and hit any one of us here. But damn we need a distraction.

Just as I was thinking of it. I saw Mingyu and Wonu. in the reflection from the water on the floor. He was behind Joshua. He mouthed about the water. Both of them were holding on to a pail of water.

Kyeom then unaware of his friends being here suddenly walked towards Joshua. I got distracted that I didn't notice him.

"Kyeom get back here!" I whispered.

"Joshua is it really you in there?" He suddenly asked. I looked at him and he was genuinely concerned and confused about my brother.

"Are you insane? Of course it's me. I was just pretending to be nice." He said with a little defensiveness in his voice.

Then I saw Mingyu counting down to 1.

3... 2.. 1...

Then Wonu and Gyu shouted in unison and splashed water in Joshua's direction. He immediately got distracted and he aimed his gun at both of them when the lights went off. Before he could fire his gun..

Kwan rolled on the floor into Joshua's direction and made him fall down. Simultaneously I heard Joshua's men fall to the ground. Must have been Hoshi and Woozi's doing. I held Kyeom's hand and then looked at the light coming from the exit. I looked back to see Joshua looking lost again. Looking at his state, I can't seem to stop myself from overthinking. The same expression earlier.

"Damn it guys run!" Cheol said as he snapped us all to run to the exit. We all ran together looking at Cheol holding on to the door.

We ran until we reach outside. I noticed there were random people lying on the ground unconscious. Damnn these guys are good. Little scary to be honest.

"What about Joshua?!?"  Kyeom asked.

"I don't know. But something is definitely not right here.! Let's get out of here already." Joshi said.

"Wait... our friends are still inside" I said as I looked back at the building.

"You mean these guys?" Kwan asked as he emerged from the bushes.

"You guys!" I shouted and ran towards them all. They embraced me as I did and we fell down the ground together.

"Thank you so much!" Kyeom said.

"Seriously guys?!? reserve all that later! The mafia are here to take care of the rest.  Go inside or die!" A familiar voice snapped us in our little celebration.

"JEONGHAN!" We all said in unison and ran towards his van! He was driving it and Vernon suddenly emerged behind him waiting.

"Boo! I was so worried!" He said and hugged Kwan as soon as we were inside and Jeonghan drove the van away from the building.

"Such a baby. That was nothing. My guys didn't let me down. My father told me that he already sent people to clean the mess." He said as he winked at his friends. I smiled and then squeezed Kyeom's hand.

"Hey... stop crying already. Kwan said that his father took care of the scene already." I whispered to Kyeom. Then all of them looked at Kyeom.

"Thank you so much you guys. I would've been dead without you guys. I'm sorry for the trouble and the lies as well." I said to distract them from looking at Kyeom.

"Nah.. we liked you better when you were Joshua anyway." Gyu suddenly said and they laughed.

"True." Wonu added.

"Thank you guys." Kyeom suddenly said. I could see Jeonghan smirking in the mirror.

"No problem at all. You guys are family." Wonu said and made us all look at him.

"Plus.. we got to see Kwan in his zone. Super hot by the way." Woozi said which made us all look at him this time. What the hell did he just say that? So out of his character.

"Alright how about me I was in my zone too. Was I hot as well?" Hoshi said feeling betrayed.

"Shut up. You were shaking just from holding a stun gun. And almost stunned yourself." Woozi countered casually which made us laugh a little bit. Hoshi sulked.

"But seriously guys. I'm so thankful to have you guys as friends." Kyeom said.

"Dude so weird seeing you like this. Get back to being Kyeomi!" Vernon said and he made Kyeom chuckle.

"And ... maybe I should thank you too.. it made Hannie come back here so it was worth it." Cheol suddenly said and Kyeom smiled.

"Right. Welcome back Hannie." I said.

"I came back from my boarding school, you came back from being kidnapped. Maybe you guys should focus on that." Hannie said and i chuckled.

"The important thing is.. everyone is safe and unharmed." Kwan said. Then Kyeom looked at me and gave me a peck on the lips and slept on my shoulder.

"Thank you Kyeomi." I said as I gave him forehead kiss.————————————————————————Kyeom pov. 2 weeks after the incident.

"I can't believe you're going away again."  Cheol said as we all took Hannie to the airport.

"I can't help it, my parents only gave me 2 weeks." He said as he smiled and hugged Cheol.

"We're gonna miss you." I said to him and he winked at me. I just chuckled.

"I'll miss you guys too. And uhmm before I go, I just wanted to say that Gyu's crying." Hannie said and we all looked back to see him actually crying.

"What?!? It's a crime to feel sad??!?" He defended himself which made us laugh. Such a soft heart inside that huge body.

"Byeeeeeee." Hannie said as he finally entered the airport.

We waited until he was inside the airplane before we all went back to Joshi's place. The incident 2 weeks ago was out of mind already. And we made a tradition of meeting in one place just to hang out. Joshi was back to his true self. I was back to mine. Never felt so at peace at the moment.

"Alright rematch?" I asked Gyu as soon as we arrived at Joshi's place.

"Oh bring it on!" Gyu said as he handed me a ping pong paddle. We were playing pingpong as some of them sang and did karaoke to pass the time.

30 mins laterz...

I demolished Gyu in the game I bragged to them that I beat his ass. They cheered on me and Gyu rolled his eyes.

"I let him win." He said and I chuckled.

"Yeah right.." i scoffed.

"Oh? Where's Josh?" I asked as I saw them eating.

"Oh he was with Kwan a little while ago." Vernon said as he ate another box of popcorn.

"Oh?" I asked.

"Yeah come and eat." Cheol said as he gave me food. I looked up and saw Kwan and Josh talking on the terrace. Seems serious...

I wonder what they were talking about..
