16 - Rather not say

Kyeom pov.

"Do you know what happened to Cheol and Jeonghan? I haven't seen both of them for a while." I asked all of a sudden.

"Oh believe me, it's better that you don't see them. It's nauseating just looking or being in the same class as them." Woozi suddenly said.

"Oh? How so?" I asked in curiosity.

"Let me demonstrate." kwanie suddenly said.

"Ohh daddu i hurt my finger." Kwanie said following Jeonghan's perfect expression and even got his voice down. If I close my eyes I would think it was Jeonghan. We all laughed at Kwanie.

"Who do I need to kill?" Kwanie suddenly changed his expression and voice this time imitating Cheol. Then we bursted laughing again. He's seriously a pro at this.

"Exactly like that." Woozi said as he pretended to gag.

"Well good for them I guess?" I said while still laughing at Kwannie.

Then all of a sudden a girl walked towards me. He then placed an envelope in front of me. My friend ls got confused

"For Joshua?" I asked nonchalantly.

"Yes please. You guys are really close so please give this to him.

"Sure thing." I said and they all looked at me.

"What's that for?" Asked Hoshi.

"It's the new thing right now. Girls kept of giving me letters to give to Joshua. And I'm just his messenger now." I said. They all then burst into laughter. Great my life's a joke yet my friends find it funny.

"It's nice that you think my life is amusing to you." I said to them sarcastically but they continued to imitate each other as a joke and didn't pay much attention to me.

"I see everyone is having a party?" Jeonghan suddenly said. We all looked at him and tugged on Kwannie to stop him from continuing his imitation.

"Speak of the devil." Vernon mumbled.

"What did you say?" Jeonghan said with a little annoyance in his tone. Cheol held on to his waist and told him to relax.

"Did you forget why we came here?" Cheol said and then Jeonghan rolled his eyes.

"Alright, but I'm only doing this for you." Jeonghan said as he poked Cheol's nose. Oh they are really openly flirting in front of us.

"Wait. Why are you guys here and is that pizza for us?" Hoshi asked.

"Well, this is for Kyeomie and he can decide if he wants to share. This is my apology perhaps or some kind of thank you to you too. Here you go." Hannie said as he handed me the pizza box. This is definitely for sharing, I mean look at the size of this.

"Well.. it's actually a group effort so I'll share." I told them and Hoshi immediately smiled.

"And have anyone seen Wonu? I need to apologize as well." Hannie asked and we all look at each other. Did we just forget about our friend?!?

"Wait I have not seen him since he talked to Mingyu." I said and Hoshi's eyes widened.

"Oh he talked to him?!?!" He asked.

"He did... and again I have never seen him since." I said to them and then Vernon looked at all of us and thought something

"Wait. Now that you mentioned it.. I haven't seen him in school too." He said and then I took out my phone to call him. As soon as I called him, the call drops. Alright this is weird.

Then Joshua arrived with Mingyu. Joshua immediately took a piece of chicken fingers out of my plate and I just let him as he sat next to me.

"Thanks" he said.

"Well I think a bag full of 1,000,000 dollar should appear next." Kwanie said.

"What?" Vernon asked in confusion.

"Well everytime we mention someone they arrive. Exhibit A and B. So maybe the money will arrive too." Kwanie said as he pointed to Jeonghan and Mingyu.

"You're weird." I said and he just smiled at me.

"Anyway.. maybe this guy knows. Hey Gyu have you seen Wonu?" Kwannie asked. And then he looked at us like a lost puppy.

"What why me? All I did was talk to him like you said." He asked and acting all defensive and pointing at me.

"Well he's not here so what exactly did you say to him?" Vernon asked. Woah Vernon's really concern for Wonu he talks a lot. I just noticed. Then Joshi smiled at me as he continued to eat on my plate. And he's just leaving his friend Mingyu to be interrogated.

"What? I just told him to drop it. It's not my fault he likes me so much." Then smiled like an idiot asking Joshi for a highfive but my boy Joshi just shook his head no. Then all of a sudden without any hesitation Boo stood up and freakin high kicked Mingyu. They both fell to the ground and we were all in shock.

"That's for being so cocky and insensitive!" Kwanie said. Then Vernon stood up and helped Kwannie up too.

"I mean you kinda said something rude dude. It's out of my hand" Joshi said as he raised his hands in surrender because he was definitely not helping his friend. Not with me glaring at him to be careful with his words.

"You guys are unbelievable. Is this really my fault?!?" Gyu asked.

"No but we can't contact our friend after you talked to him with that big mouth of yours." Then I got a ballpen and a tissue and wrote Wonu's address. I then gave the tissue to Gyu and he looked confused.

"That's where he lives. You go talk to him! You caused this and you fix it." I said and then he took the tissue and fixed himself.

"Just so you know..I don't need to do this, he's not my responsibility." He suddenly said and crumpled the tissue in front of us and we were shocked.

"Dude not cool." Joshi said and Mingyu just walked away in fury.

"You think he saw the address??" I asked.

"He probably did. I think he acts like he doesn't care but he probably does. He hasn't been acting that normal since yesterday." Joshi said as he held my hand to assure me.

"What do you mean?" Hoshi suddenly interrupted.

"Well, he spaced out a couple of times during class and he keeps on checking on his phone. Does that seem normal?" Joshi asked.

"Well no. Maybe." Hoshi said as he looked like he was thinking about it.

"Wait what is this I see?" Hoshi suddenly said as he turned his head to my direction.

"What?" I asked.

"Why are you so clingy with each other? And Kyeom? Sharing your food???Not even embarrassed to hold hands?" He said and I immediately removed my hands away. I didn't even noticed that we were holding hands. It just came naturally??? Am I a star in some kind of romantic movie!?!? I should keep my daydreaming aligned.

"What?" I asked and all eyes were on both of us.

"You guys dating?!?" Kwannie asked in shock.

"What? We are not!." I panicked as I saw some people turn their heads towards us both. Did my bestfriend just forget about how Joshua is the main character in this school??? Why is he putting me on the spot.

"Yet." Joshi whispered to Hoshi and winked. Then Hoshi's eye went wide.

"Alright calm your pants!" I said as I elbowed Joshua in the side.

"Hoshi's right. Something's weird about you two." Vernon said and I glared at him this time. Why did he choose today to ask more questions when he spends all day just keeping quiet.

"It's nothing alright?! Can we all just drop it?" I said in annoyance. I mean I don't wanna be the butt of the jokes.

"You know what? Let's all go back to our respective classes." I said so that I can escape.

"Oh you want Joshua solo.. I see." Kwannie teased and I slapped him in the arm. I walked out and Joshi walked behind me. They laughed as I tried to get away from them.

"Dude if you follow me. They will really suspect that something's up with both of us." I said to him as I shook him away.

"Don't dude me. We have the same class remember." He said as he walked beside me this time and grabbed the props for the play that I was holding on to.

"Oh right. Thank you." I said.

"What's this for anyway?" He asked leaning into me as in my personal space. It was embarrassing.

"Can you not whisper near my ear?? I can hear you just alright from here." I said as I took a step farther away from him. He just laughed and walked beside me the whole time as I went to our class.

"Ughhhhh why did my body choose to give up now?!?" I thought to myself as I stayed in bed.

I can't even stand up to get my charger because my head is seriously killing me. And I can't call anyone because I live alone and my phone is dead. I can't even recall the last time I had a full meal. I blame the weather!! Why did I have to let my umbrella be taken by that jerk of a man.

——flashback—-

"I don't feel comfortable knowing that you are Winnie." Mingyu said as I finish my confession towards him.

"And why is that?" I asked. Knowing full well why. He's straight. He likes girls. Why do I need to make this harder for me. This is why I didn't wanna talk about it. I'm killing Kyeom for putting me in this position.

"Winnie is someone I opened up to. Someone that I trusted in all my troubles to and knowing that she's just someone you made up. A character you played like some-kind of game to manipulate me. I don't know how to feel." He said and I realized this was a bigger deal than I thought.

I was focused on the fact that I liked him. And not the fact that I played him. I know who he was and he knew Winnie. Not Wonu. Not me.

"I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean to make you a fool. But I was scared to be rejected. To be dismissed just because I was not a girl. And I didn't know it was you in the start." I said trying to defend my case.

"But you knew eventually right?!?" He asked with a little tone on his voice.

"I did knew eventually but I was already attracted to you when I did. I know this sounds cringy to you or even disgusting but I was happy about being Winnie. You were open, honest and I saw the real you. I was blinded by all that. And for that I'm sorry." I said and then he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"I don't think I could do this afterall." He suddenly said and just like a perfectly timed movie scene. The rain started to pour. Not little droplets but full on rain.

"I know i have no right to ask you this right now. But I'm still the same Winnie you talked to. Can you give this a chance?" I asked. Then he looked mortified.

"This?!?! What even is this?!? You made a fool out of me!" He shouted because the rain was falling hard on the roof of the gazebo.

"That's why I'm apologizing and being honest right now." I said trying to hold back my tears because I don't usually cry but now it looks like I was losing to my own emotions.

"No. I can't accept this. I'm straight. I can't accept you. And I'm not apologizing for that." He said and then I stood there stunned of what I just heard.

"Oh.. then I should probably go." I said sadly not doing what to do or say next. Then he grabbed my umbrella before I could. Is he seriously bringing MY umbrella.

"I should have this. After-all you sure know how to pretend to be someone you're not. Tru to Pretend that it's not raining then" he said and he walked away using my umbrella leaving me stuck in the gazebo in the rain. As soon as he was out of sight I broke down in tears. Maybe I deserve this.

After a while my tears have dried and I decided to go home. Maybe a little rest could help me. It was still raining but I didn't care.

"Maybe I'll just die here then." I said dramatically. Then tears started to fall down my eyes again. I remembered what he said and it feels like I was stabbed by a hundred knives.

Why did I even try to be honest. I knew this would happen but I was swayed to tell him the truth. Deep down I know it was the correct way to go but I didn't expect it to hurt like this. I looked at my bedside table and my water was already almost out.

*knock knock knock

I was interrupted by the sound of the door banging. It stopped right away because I didn't answer so I thought that maybe it was the wrong door. My head was already hurting so bad that I just let the darkness took over me.

————————————————————————Kyeom pov.

"Dude! Are you dying? Because Joshua can definitely put you in a car and drive you to the hospital." I asked Wonu as he was sleeping in his bed barely awake. Or should I say just woke up. Joshi, Hoshi and I decided to visit our dear friend.

"You look dead. And you're door was open." Hoshi commented.

"What? I was sure I locked it. I don't feel well." He said and we chuckled.

"Figures. You would never miss a lecture. Good thing we came when we did. Have you eaten anything?!? You somehow look thinner!" I said in concern as I went to his refrigerator and checked if there was any ingredients to make lunch or something.

"Kyeom.. maybe I should be the one that looks for food. I'll whip something up." Joshi volunteered and Hoshi and I changed Wonu's towel in his forehead.

"Well it's a good thing you are independent." I said as I replaced the towel in his forehead.

"Where did you even get that towel?" Wonu asked in a daze.

"Isn't this yours??" Hoshi asked.

"Nope. All my towel has numbers and that doesn't have one." Wonu said and We looked at each other.

"Dude we just got here and the towel has been in your forehead earlier." I told him and he looked confused. Was there somebody that came before us? That's impossible.

"And there is a bowl of porridge here on the fridge." Joshua suddenly said.

"Wonu?!? You have a side chick?!?" Hoshi joked and I smacked his head.

"What the hell are you talking about?." Wonu said in annoyance.

"You have all your basic needs here, you're food, you're your medicines and all and you told us you were alone all this time. Are you lying to us Wonu baby?" Hoshi said as he baby talked Wonu.

"Medicine? What? I slept with only an empty water here—- wait what?." He said as he was shocked himself with the full water bottle in his bedside.

"It's a fairy!" Hoshi joked.

"Wonu are you sure that we were the first one in here?" I asked in curiosity. I definitely think it was the guy we were pressuring earlier but I didn't wanna assume that.

"I think so... i was unconscious all this time. Even if someone was here, I wouldn't notice." He said and we all nodded.

"Don't you have some kind of security system here?!?" Hoshi asked all of a sudden.

"Well it's not working properly right now. The cctv guys told me that I was gonna get footage after a month." He said and I was confused if that even is true.

"Alright then. Let's just call him or her a little fairy angel. It probably saved you. You look dead. What more if that little fairy angel was not here." Hoshi joked and Wonu with all his energy punched him and I laughed.

"Did you think our little fairy angel was Gyu?" I whispered to Joshi.

"I called him and he's not answering. He's probably not that little fairy angel. He told me he was going home earlier." He said and i nodded. Then maybe my hunch was wrong.

"Wait you guys dating already??" Wonu suddenly asked.

"What? Us?" Joshi asked in confusion but clearly enjoying it.

"I repeat. We are not why is everyone assuming that??" I asked in confusion.

"Well look at you two always whispering secretly." Hoshi added.

"Whatever. Everyone drop it right now. I'm not enjoying this talk anymore." I said and Wonu rolled his sick eyes.

"Alright alright can you guys leave already. I need to rest." Wonu said as he threw us out. Can you believe that?

"Dude you can't even stand up." Kwanie  suddenly arrived with Vernon as always. He continues the conversation like he was already here earlier.

"Why is everyone here already?" Asked Wonu in confusion.

"What's that?" I asked as I saw Vernon bringing a basket of Pomegranate??

"What? Wonu loves thesee." Vernon said as he handed Wonu the basket. Wonu immediately hugged it like a baby and smiled at Vernon.

"Woah you really know him." I said in shock. I didn't know Vernon and Wonu were this close.

"Ofcourse I do." He said and then we stayed there to hang out with Wonu for a little while. Joshi then brought out his notebooks all of a sudden.

"What's that?" I asked.

"It's notes from the classes we have together." Joshi said and I looked at him in shock. Vernon and Hoshi also looked impressed.

"Thank you Joshua." Wonu said and smiled. Alright he's sick but he's still cute.

"Perfect Joshua strikes again. He really thinks ahead. That's our president for sure."  Hoshi compliments Joshua and he nodded like an idiot accepting a reward. This made everyone laugh.

"You seem different." Wonu suddenly said as soon as everyone stopped laughing.

"Is that bad?" Joshi asked. I got nervous as well.

"No. We prefer this side. You're actually funny." Kwannie said.

"Then thank you." Joshi said bowing like a prince and smiling.

"Maybe my friend rubbed off his quirky side on you." Hoshi said as he wiggles his eyebrows at me.

"Can you shut up your mouth for one second." I said as I flicked his nose.

"Maybe he did" he whispered and Winked to Hoshi again. He's definitely hinting that we have a thing which we don't.

"I like you. You're fun." Hoshi said as he smiled and high fives Joshua. When did they become best buddies and how come I didn't know.

"Alright stop it both of you." I said.

"Jealous? I'm stealing your boyfriend." Hoshi said to me.

"Never." I said as I sat beside Wonu pouting. We decided to play games just to hang out with Wonu. And soon we noticed that it was getting dark.

"We'll go ahead guys.. my in-laws are in town." Vernon mentioned and Kwannie nodded proudly.

"In-laws? Damn you guys have already a clear future am I right?!?" I asked because he was already calling Kwannie's parents his In-laws.

"Ofcourse." Kwannie said as he winked and they went home. Only people left were Hoshi me and Joshi.

"I think I'll sleep here with Wonu. I have no classes til 11 tomorrow so I'll be his personal baby sitter." Hoshi volunteers.

"We can join you." I suggested.

"Nahhh. Wonu has only one futon for some reason. You guys wont have space here. I can take it from here byeeee." He said as he pushed both of us away to the door then he slammed it right into our faces.

"Well that was a very aggressive goodbye." I commented.

"It certainly is. Let me take you home." Joshi suggested and then we walked towards his car. As soon as we were inside the car I told him something from the heart.

"I'm impressed. Thank you for thinking about Wonu's notes." I told him and he smiled.

"I think i knew him enough because you guys are close. And it's the bare minimum for me to do as a friend." He commented.

"That's sweet." I commented and he just smiled.

"Ofcourse. I need to win my future boyfriend's friends right? I need to be in the inner circle." He bragged and then I just rolled my eyes. Why is he always talking to me like this. Always flirting.

"Such a flirt." I said.

"And you like me like this" he said and I kept my mouth shut and looked out the window. He's really getting braver by the second. Then he drove me to my house. As soon as we arrived I remember the letters the girls gave me since I was known as Joshua's bestfriend now.

"Oh right I forgot. Can you give your brother this for me?" I said as I handed him a box full of letters.

"What's this for?" He asked.

"Just give it to him. It's from the girls at school." I said as I gave him the heavy box.

"Wait. Why are you giving this to him?" He asked. The truth is, these letters are for Joshi but since the girls thinks that they are still looking at the true Joshua..

"Because you are not Joshua. -and these are clearly for him." I said.

"I think these are for me." He said cockily and I rolled my eyes. He then started to grab one and read one after the other.

I think you're cuter now that you're blonde...

You are so nice I wish you have my children...

You are definitely handsome and great marriage material...

I love that you are always listening to us and giving us great advice...

"Your abs are heavenly...

And the letters go on and on and on. Some of it I just wanna burn.

"Wait don't tell me you're jealous of letters???" He joked and I glared at him

"I am definitely not." I said as I pushed him to drive already. He immediately followed and then we arrived in front of my house.

"Don't worry I'll give this to my brother so that you won't be sad about those letters." He said sarcastically and I just frowned at him. He's messing with me and I hate it.

"Just drop it." I said annoyed.

"Kyeomi if your jealous just tell me. I could totally use some boost in morale up in here. And it's pretty hot that you actually care about how girls think of me." Joshi joke and the just looked at him.

"Stop talking already." I said still annoyance.

"Come on.. if you tell me you're jealous I'll be very happy." He joked. I rolled my eyes at him again. Why is he teasing me so much more.

"Come on.... Kyeommmieez.." he continued to joke and I crossed my arms in disbelief.

"You know what will shut you up?" I asked in full annoyance now. Then I grabbed his collar aggressively and pushed out lips together in a kiss. His eyes went wide open.

"Di—wejus—did we hustled—-" he was not making sense as his body was shocked but the sudden proximity.

"Perfect now you can shut up." I said but then as I looked at him he was holding on to his lips. I was about to open the door from my side and go away.

"Oh you can't possibly do that and get away with it." He suddenly said as he locked the door from his side and slowly moved towards my side removing my seatbelt in the process.

"What are you doing?!?" I asked in panic.

"Oh you stole a kiss from me. I'm just getting it back." He said and then placed his hands on my cheek and pulled me close to him and kissed me. I was not ready he deepened the kiss right away.

I couldn't help but to kiss him back. His lips were as soft as walking and tasting a cloud. I couldn't help myself. I wrapped my arms around his neck to pull him closer. Alright now I was the one controlling the kiss. I could feel him smile through my lips and I just knew that I probably lost already. Damn it he kissed so good I can't stop.

But then He stopped the kiss and placed his forehead to mine. We were both breathing pretty heavily, panting like dogs in heat. I was still closing my eyes trying to relax myself from what just happened. Damn it I want more!

"You broke your rule." He said and smirked.

"So what? I made the rule I can break it too." I said without thinking and transferred to the drivers seat directly straddling him. I was sitting on his lap and he looked at me with eyes full of lust.  His hands automatically went to my hips. The car is pretty cramped but I managed to fit.

"Don't tease me. I couldn't possibly stop with you on my lap." He said and then I leaned into his face again not caring about his warning and kissed him. I don't know what was happening to me but my instincts are winning and I can't stop myself.

It was a kiss of passion. It was aggressive and I liked it. I was getting swept away. His hand were all over my body and slipping it inside my shirt. I could feel my heartbeat increasing like I was in a roller coaster. I was already out of breath when he started kissing my neck. I tilted my head to give him more access to my neck and then he suddenly latched on my skin and sucked it. I was feeling the burning sensation and couldn't help but moan.

He stopped in response to my sudden embarrassing sound.

"Damn it let me hear that again." He whispered in my ear as I was already catching my breath on the process of being embarrassed.

"Make me." I said as I captured his lips once again. I was embarrassed but the heat in me was still winning not letting Joshi's lips go away from me. He started moving his hips in response to me sitting directly in his crotch area. Then he suddenly pulled back.

"Kyeom. Please stop moving your hips." He said trying to be as coherent as possible.

"Got a problem there buddy?" I teased him but in my head I was already panicking! Why is he hard already! I should run. I should! Then my thoughts of panic were interrupted when Joshua said something.

"We should stop here." He said and relief took over my emotions. I was already in a state of panic and it's a good thing he stopped.

I slowly made My way back to my seat and I could see him holding on to his tent and covering it in embarrassment. I was also red as a tomato at this point. What the hell was I thinking?!? How did I even get to this stage.

"Sorry about that." I said trying my best not to make eye contact with that!

"It's fine .I'm just gonna need a minute here. Let's talk tomorrow. Good night" He said and I nodded.

"See you then." I said awkwardly as I practically ran to the door step. I can't believe what just happened! And right in front of my house!!! I'm such a slut! I was just thankful that his car was freaking tinted.

Then all of a sudden the lights turned on.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!" I shouted and Dino did too.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!! What?!? What?!?" Dino panicked.

"You almost gave me a heart attack! Don't sneak up on someone like that!" I scolded him and ran to my room.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked as I was running but didn't stop because I have bigger problems than that.

I immediately closed the door and ran to my bed.

"Kyeom!!!! What the hell were you thinking?!??! How the hell am I supposed to face him tomorrow!!! God I'm so embarrassed!!!" I said to myself great now I'm going crazy.

I just want the floor to swallow me whole!
