———Sakura moved away, shocked by what he'd said. Sasuke looked at her shyly, struggling to make eye contact with her. "What..? Did I say it wrong..." he asked nervously.

"What?! Of course not!" she said in disbelief. Sakura then hugged Sasuke tightly. "I'm just happy that you said it, Sasuke-Kun."

Sasuke hugged her back and sighed. "I should've said it last night..." he said sadly.

Sakura backed away from the hug slightly, keeping her arms wrapped around his neck, now looking into his eyes. "Don't think that way. Don't feel like you have to do anything you're not comfortable with just because I want something." she said sweetly with a smile.

Being so close to Sakura in this way filled Sasuke's mind with many thoughts...including thoughts that he desperately tried to avoid having. His breath began to shorten and he started to feel warm 'down there'. "S-Sakura...can you...back up?" he said nervously, "...please?"

Seeing how uncomfortable he looked, she did just that and went back to sitting against him and putting his arm over her shoulders, just like before. "Is this better?" she asked.

"Mhm..." he said without looking at her. This was better but still didn't solve the issue arising in his pants. Sasuke stayed quiet and didn't look at Sakura...he was too focused on trying not to show his slight arousal.

Sakura, noticing how much more awkward Sasuke was being, decided to break the silence. "Sasuke-Kun...could I wear your cloak? I'm getting cold." she said.

"Hn." Sasuke said before removing his coat and handing it to Sakura. He never once looked at her as he did this. "You should probably sleep."

Sakura put on the cloak and looked at him sadly. "Yea...sure..." she said quietly. Sakura assumed that his social meter ran out for the day which made her sad but she didn't want to bother him anymore. Sakura went back to sitting against Sasuke and closed her eyes. "Goodnight."

Sasuke sighed and didn't respond to Sakura. He was occupied trying to bury his dirty thoughts into the back of his mind. But the more he tried, the harder it was to ignore them.

For a while, Sasuke sat in silence struggling with his thoughts. But then, he felt Sakura's head fall onto his lap; she had fallen asleep. But of course, this only worsened his problem. Sasuke froze and stared at Sakura. He wasn't sure if he should move her or stay like this. But what he did know was that he could no longer control his thoughts.

Sasuke slowly moved Sakura's hair out of her face. He couldn't stop thinking about how much he wanted to kiss her...not just on her lips, but everywhere. He then started to wonder what Sakura looked like underneath her clothes. Sakura always seemed to be insecure about her body...Sasuke never understood why; she looked perfectly fine to him. Well...recently she's started to look more than 'perfectly fine' to him. At this point, she was so attractive to him that he wanted badly to just wake her up and make love to her right then and there. But Sasuke knew he wouldn't be able to bring himself to do something like that...at least not yet...

—November 2110:35 a.m.—

The two had been walking for a few days. Sasuke still struggled to hold back his dirty thoughts even now but Sakura didn't seem to notice which is all that mattered to him.

Sasuke had taken a different route to get back to Konoha instead of the route they took when they left. Sakura wasn't sure why but she didn't want to question him. But soon, they approached a village that was practically a tourist trap causing her curiosity to get the better of her.

"What are we doing here?" Sakura asked.

Sasuke stayed silent and continued to walk ahead of her. He was embarrassed to tell her what they were doing there so he chose not to answer her.

Sakura understood that he stayed quiet for a reason so she didn't say anything more, hoping that he'd tell her eventually.

Walking past the busy streets of the village, Sasuke took Sakura to a more secluded area. They walked up to a lone bench that overlooked the sea. They both took a seat and Sakura stared at Sasuke, wanting him to say something.

Sasuke sighed and turned to Sakura. "I..." he started before pausing for a few seconds, "Do you like dates?" he asked.

"Well I've never been on one before...but I think it could be nice." she said, "Why?"

"Would you like this to be one..?" Sasuke asked shyly. He couldn't bring himself to ask her on a date so this was the best way for him to do so.

Sakura blushed and smiled. "Are you kidding? I'd love that!" she said excitedly.

Sasuke smiled back slightly before looking away. "What do people do on dates?" he asked.

"Good question!" Sakura giggled. "I guess the main point of a date is to spend time with your partner...I think."

"Hn." Sasuke said before a silence fell upon the two. However, the silence wasn't very awkward. Sasuke could feel Sakura still smiling at him. He liked when she'd do that but he's never told that to her...he wasn't sure if he ever even would.

Sakura and Sasuke sat quietly for about 2 minutes. They understood each other well so most times, silences between them were more comforting than awkward. If they could, they'd probably sit in silence all day. Sakura enjoyed Sasuke's company and he enjoyed hers.

Eventually, Sakura remembered that there was a question that she'd wanted to ask him. She moved closer to him and tapped shoulder. When he looked at her, she spoke, "What made you want to be with me after all this time?" she asked.

Sasuke stared at her for a moment and thought about it. He knew why he wanted to be with her but the longer he thought about it, the more reasons came to mind. Sasuke wanted to tell her but he wanted to save that answer for a more special moment...so he decided to keep his answer simple for now. "I like you and you like me." he said.

Knowing what Sasuke is like, Sakura could tell that that wasn't the only reason. But as stubborn as Sasuke is, she knew she wouldn't get him to say anything more than that. She then crossed her arms and and grinned mischievously. "You 'like' me? I thought you loved me." Sakura teased.

Sasuke smirked and looked away from her. "You know what I mean, Sakura." he said. Sasuke was starting to feel a bit more comfortable due to Sakura's playful response to him so he decided to try to initiate a new interaction between them. Sasuke slowly moved his hand towards Sakura's before holding it.

This was the first time that Sasuke showed any physical affection towards Sakura...at least to her knowledge. The second their hands touched, her heart skipped a beat. She loved the warmth of his hand and the firmness of his grip. Sakura noticed that every few seconds, his grip would tighten a little more and his face would grow redder. He was probably enjoying this as much as she was.

But eventually, Sasuke's tight grip on her hand began to give her butterflies...and soon, those butterflies turned into a desire for his hand to grip onto other parts of her body. Staring at his face only heightened that feeling so she looked away, not wanting to get the urge to say something that she might regret.

Noticing that Sakura had looked away, Sasuke decided that they should probably continue to head back to the village. He stood up and Sakura did the same before he let go of her hand. "We should probably go now." he said.

Sakura nodded somewhat sadly. She understood that they had things to do but she couldn't help but be sad that the moment was over so quickly. "Yea, probably..." she said. If she could, she'd stay here with Sasuke all day; but their duty as ninjas came first.

Seeing how sad he'd made Sakura, Sasuke instantly felt guilty. He had no clue what to say to her so he just started walking in attempts to move on from the moment. Sakura followed closely next to him. The mood was now heavier than before and both Sasuke and Sakura hoped that that would change sometime soon.———This is the end of the chapter! I hope you enjoyed!

{A/N: Sorry if this chapter is a bit lame — towards the end mostly. I was try to get this chapter done by midnight but I started writing this later than I usually write new chapters so I was rushing ever so slightly. Also, I'm tired as hell so I feel all nauseous and my vision keeps going blurry so it was hard to focus on what I was writing😭}
