Chapter 022*

The walls were broken into. The rocks had fallen onto me.

I saw him. He was covered in blood. I reach for his hand but it was far away.

"I did it, my love"

Annie POV.

I have to help her she is someone who would be a big part of our plan. That fool had knocked down the walls. I ran back to help the woman from earlier.

I look to see a little girl had run inside. Was that her daughter? I bit my hand.

The girl was holding onto the woman bodyI could have saved her but I was too late. A soldier had carried her away. I saw the gem in her hand. It turns green. I had it in my hand but it was gray how did it.

I saw the girl again where the refugees were at. She was with a group of kids. I guess she had accepted her mother's died. Should I go to her and tell her. I can't she won't want to hear about her mother's death,

I was standing with these cadets. It has been three years. I hadn't seen that girl for that long. Her mother said she had lost her memories as a child. Could she know about us? That is what was worrying me.

"Violet Ackerman sir"

I turn to see her. Is that really her. She was wiping his spit. I had wide eyes, no traces of fear at all. But she has blond hair, way lighter than mine. Is she really her daughter.

She doesn't look like the woman but that gem was the same one I had once in my hand.

I had watched her from the sidelines. She was a lot stronger than I had thought. She could easily protect herself. The kids from before had gotten quite close to her. I never ask her why they wanted to kill her. Why were they after her in the first place.

It's the first stage of the plan. The expedition is today. I have to take Eren and go home to see father. I'm sure he is waiting for me to return back home. I look to see them. Did she know it was me? She then felled to the ground. I look to see her turn around and run to Armin. Those were the same words she had said. Did she not lose her memories. No impossible. Her mother same words.

Where is Violet, do they suspect her too. She had nothing to do with this. I had one promise and I broke it.

I opened my eyes. It was just a second I close them. This all happened. I look around to see we were heading to the wall. I felt a tear in my eye. I grab my hand and wipe it. I need to know who that man is. I clench my fist. I have to know who you are. Why did you come after mother? He was killed so it wouldn't really work out. How should I find out? Annie I'm sorry but forgive me. I don't know how to find out. What am I supposed to do know.

"Aye brat they asked you something"

I turn to him. I had eyes on me.

"Aye Violet would you be able to take that thing off"

I gave them a different expression indicating are they serious about me taking that thing. Yes I get it am strong but not that strong.

"Hanji I don't think I can. It's huge, it will be like someone's death wish. And it's neck I don't see one" how could I take that thing out.

"Hmm, your right about that. Let's use gun powder. You can do that Eren"

"I think"

"It's not I think. Will, you do it or not"

"I will"

I smiled at their little  pride. I held the gem, it was still green. Was it gray before? In the memory It war gray.

Time skip

I looked at the distance to see him coming closer to the wall. The people here don't know what's about to hit them. All the scouts were preparing the gun powder. I was tying the ropes to the barrels. Something hit me.

You think you can save them

I drop the rope from my hands. That sounded like mother voice. It really did, I still remember her voice after all these years. I felt a hand, I turn around to see Erwin.

"Violet if it's true that your mother is from outside the walls. Do you know the reason why Reiner and Bertolt tried to take you. Could you yourself not be from inside the walls. We haven't found your birth certificate in the books. Nothing about you until the age of 6."

I wasn't shock by this. I could tell from the beginning they were wary of me. I mean who wouldn't when a girl claims her mother isn't from inside these walls. I look up to him. His eyes looked like if they were seeing through my soul.

"I won't deny that, who knows maybe I'm truly from outside the walls. But like I said I don't remember anything as a child so how am I supposed to be help of here"

His eyes seem to have widen a bit but return to normal. I look at his eyes. You don't need to know since you'll die in the following days. I can't stop that from happening. Before he could say something. I turn back to see Historia standing. I guess she has words.

"Violet we'll put our fate into your hands"

He then move forward to Historia. I'm guessing he is going to gamble and choose to believe me now. Thank you for putting your trust into a liar like me. I won't let this place die like back then. I won't be a coward and run.

A coward but when. Thoughts move into my head. I didn't even think of that.  I turn to see Eren looking at me. I stood there thinking. Will you really keep going forward. I lifted the barrow to the stack. How come this isn't heavy,

I could hear him hitting himself I turn and walk to him. Mikasa and Armin were holding onto him.

"Eren why do you always blame yourself. I don't understand why its has to be like this. No one will die today like back then. Do you why it's because we have you and the scouts. We can protect them. Not one single person will die today I can promise you that. So we should fight with everything's got"

"Violetttt" he started to cry and hug me. I stood there like an idiot what am I supposed to do. I move my hands and patted his back. I remember being taller than him back then when did he get taller. I step on his foot.

"We should get ready we have a job to do"

I smile and approach Levi. I should focus too. I had my black long sleeve on. I have too save them. We were given our positions.

I was on the wall. He stood up causing the soldiers near the cannons fall to their deaths, I couldn't save them. The garrison reactive the order to  retreat. It was now our turn to take actions.

The kids caught my attention. I didn't have that fear at all. I quickly jump off the roof. Eren could handle it by himself. His whole body exploded.  Chunks of flesh had speeded everywhere. Erwin order us to slice every chunk. I slice through two but nothing.

They had to find the neck in order to kill it. I saw a girl who looks to have been hurt by a rock. There was also a boy. I landed on the ground and ran to them.

I grab the girl she was still conscious. The boy wasn't, I had to hurry.

"Can you wrap your arms around me while I help your friend or brother here"

She nodded she wrap her arms. I then grab the boy. He looks like around 10 or 12 but he was bones. Just how skinny are you.

I had the strength to carried him. I started to run where the others were. I made it. I gently place them near people. I turn to see a huge chunk coming toward them. I quickly attached myself and cut it into half. I landed on the ground. It really took a turn of my body. I heard a voice. I turn around to see the little girl.

"Um thank you what is your name"

I ruffle her head. She had long brown hair with blue eyes. She looked to an around 12. I smiled at her."Violet"

"Violet are you from the scouts."

I nodded my head.

I turn to see a piece of that thing heading here again.. I grab my blades out. I attach myself to a building. I sliced the chunk in half. I continue to slices pieces of skin. I then turn to see Historia cutting the neck.  Just how many times.

"You could save them, you inherited the Saito blood. You are more powerful than the founder titans."

I heard that voice it sounded like Rod. How is that possible Saito blood what is that supposed to mean. I don't seem to be understanding this case. How could he had reach my ears from that far.

"I am Historia Reiss True ruler of the walls"

I stood and look at her with a smile. You earn that yourself. Ymir would be proud to see you. I sat on the ground. I was tired. I put the hood on. In real-time, this was all happening so fast. Every day new secrets are learned. From here it's where the real battle starts to go down. Till then I have to prepared for that to happen. I will need to go through the end. I am not looking no forward but sorta as well to find the secrets about me. Who am I truly.

We had made a fight for humanity. They had come so far for this. I am proud for them to have come this far. We had lost millions during this time. They don't deserve anything that is coming. Each one of them deserve the freedom to live as free as a bird. No fear of titans and just freedom in general.

Annie, I will make sure you get to see your father. It wasn't your fault. Don't be scared. I look at Eren, he was smiling but he was cover in gun powder. He looks funny. I laugh at how he looks.

How could that boy be the same one like my memories. He is smiling at the fact that we are one step closer to freedom. I don't blame you at all. But how can you change so much. Don't change Eren. I don't even know.

Eren Pov

I look at the walls to see three children. It reminded me of us. When we stood there with fear. I look to see a girl staring with no fear. Violet was like that too. She was going to accept Fate.

But this time it's a game-changer. I will protect you from them. The walls had blown rocks. I turn to see Violet had gone directly with the rocks. She had saved two kids.

No time to be distracted. We need to save them. I did it.

I was carried by Armin and Mikasa. Where was Violet? I look to see her helping the kids from earlier. She was comforting them. She stood up and look my way. She smiled and laugh. I turn to Armin.

"What is something on my face"

"Well you are cover in ashes"

I walked over to her.

"Look at you cover in blood"

She pointed at me indicating that it was mine. Well she isn't wrong about that. I sigh you really won't take a hint about that. I ruffle her hair.

"Your mother would be proud to see how strong her daughter had gotten. She isn't a lazy pig anymore. But a soldier to defend its people."

"Eren don't change"

I turn to her to see her looking somewhere else. Did she say that. Is sounded like her voice. Maybe my heads a bit messed up.
