moving forward

Over the next couple years things were up and down for olivia. She had ended up arresting Noah's birth father and almost losing him just before the adoption was finalized but Johnny D was killed during an outburst and incident in the court room the left 2 people dead and several wounded including nick, ended up going in to early retirement and moving to California. Olivia missed him but was very busy aftwards with raising 2 kids, doing therapy and being promoted to lieutenant. Amanda had fallen off the gambling wagon but managed to get back on her feet and became pregnant with a little girl who was almost a year old now. Olivia also had her hands full with her now 4 year old daughter Clarissa and her 3 year old son Noah but she had learned for the most part how to juggle motherhood and work. She had a new nanny that had worked for olivia for about 2 years now named Lucy. She made sure Lucy knew that being a nanny for her was a bit different then most because of her job but Lucy was handling pretty well.

Today olivia and amanda were in central park playing with the three kids on one of thier few days off. Noah was in the sandbox playing with Jesse and amanda while Olivia pushed Clarissa on a swing.

"Higher mommy higher!" Clarissa giggled.

"Ok kiddo but hold on tight." She said pushing her a tiny bit higher. Olivia loved being with her kids and was thankful over the last 2 and a half years that she and Clarissa never had to visit william who was still locked away in the super max prison in New Jersey. Olivia finally stopped the swing and Clarissa jumped off and jumped in to her mothers arms giggling and hugging her "that was so fun mommy."

Olivia laughed "it sure was but how about you go play with your brother and Jesse before we have to go ok?" She smiled and set her daughter down and watched her run to the sandbox as amanda walked over to Olivia. "How do they have so much energy? Wish we could bottle that for ourselves some times." Amanda joked.

Olivia laughed "if only." She said as she packed back up a few things in to the kids tote bag of toys and things. "So how about lunch at my place before you and Jess head home?"

"Sounds good." Amanda smiled.

"Ok loves let's go." Olivia said as she put Noah in the stroller and took clarissas hand while amanda got Jesse in to her stroller.

As they were about to leave Olivia's cell phone rang. Olivia sighed as she seen fin pop up on her caller ID "damn."

Amanda sighed and rolled her eyes slightly.

Olivia answered "hey fin....yeah....ok I'm with rollins now we will be there as soon as we can." She groaned and hung up the phone. "Child abduction case they need us both in. Crap Lucy is out of town with her mom today." She sighed.

Amanda nodded "it's ok I'll call Misty I'm sure she will be ok watching your kiddos too."

Olivia smiled softly "thanks amanda."

"Mommy? You have to go to work?" Clarissa pouted.

Olivia knelt down "yes my love but I'm gonna be home as soon as I can I promise but I bet misty will have lots of fun things for you to do and you can help watch Jesse and your brother."

Clarissa crossed her arms pouting "you always work!"

"Aleays work!" Noah said imitating his sister and looking at his mother.

Olivia sighed but helped get all the kids to Amanda's apartment while amanda texted misty.

Misty showed up 20 minutes later and olivia promise to pay her extra for the help before leaving with amanda.
