a new case

Olivia and amanda walked in to the precinct which was already buzzing with holiness tips about the abducted child. Olivia called fin in to her office to give her the specifics.

"Ok so tell me about this case?" Olivia said leaning back sitting on the edge of her desk.

"4 year old girl Callie marks kidnapped from her apartment in upper Manhattan. Nanny was beaten, bound and shoved in to a hallway closet. Man knocked on the door pretending to be a cop but the badge number we got from the nanny was a retired one." He said and handed her a picture if the girl with her parents. The girl looked similar to Clarissa and was even the same age.

"Any open cases with the same MO?" Olivia asked still gazing at the photo in her hand.

"Only one from about 5 years ago." He said handing Olivia a file. "The girl was also 4 years old, nanny was also beaten and shoved in to a closet but this nanny was dead when police arrived. The 2 girls also share similar appearances." Fin continued. As olivia looked at the photo in the file. "That girl was never found. They suspected a parental abduction since her father had recently lost visitation but his alibi check out for the time of the kidnapping."

Olivia looked over the two files and said "it looks like this newest girls parents are also going through a custody battle have we checked out both parents?" Olivia asked.

"Yes and both thier alibis check and we are going through thier Financials to see if either of them could have hired someone." Fin replied.

"And we have already put out an Amber alert and a bolo on the guys description given to us by the nanny?" Olivia asked as she couldn't help but see bits of Clarissa in both these girls.

"Yes." He said.

"Ok....you and carisi go interview the parents one more time. Me and amanda will go look in to the sex offenders living near both the crime scenes and see if any of them overlap." Olivia said grabbing her coat.

Fin could tell by the look in Olivia's eyes that she was drawing parallels between these girls and Clarissa so he said "just remember live this isn't Clarissa. We would never let her get hurt."

Olivia nodded "yeah...I know." She said and left with amanda.

Amanda was looking things up on her cell phone and said "so it looks like there are 2 pedophiles who live near Callie that also lived near the other girl during the kidnapping 5 years ago." Amanda confirmed.

"Ok so those are the two we want to talk to first. If it's a coincidence it's a very strange one." Olivia said glancing slightly at the photo of her kids attached to the visor of the car.

Amanda noticed but left it alone for now.

They soon arrived at the apartment of one of the men along with his parole officer so they could do a legal search of the premises for the girl but they found nothing. They did the same at the second suspects residence but again not a shred that either girl had ever been there.

Olivia sighed as she got back in the car. "We have to be missing something. These girls have to have some connection. My gut tells me this isn't a random stranger abduction."

"What do you mean?" Amanda asked curiously.

No other people in either apartment heard or seen a man come to thier door meaning he knew which apartments to go to. Which means he had to be stalking them for a time to know what apartment and when the parent of the home would be out." Olivia observed.

"Well we checked. These girls were abducted 5 years apart, they didn't go to the same school or daycare. Thier parents worked and shopped in different areas." Amanda said coming up empty.

Olivia sat there a moment looking over the file and trying to think and then noticed something. "But both the building surrounded the same park where the nannys took these kids. That must be the connection." Olivia said.

"Well that doesn't narrow it down much. There are 150 employees who work that park and thousands of people who probably visit it." Amanda said.

"But whoever this is would have been watching these girls and what's the one thing we do when we take our kids to the park? We look for anyone watching that seems even a little out of place." Olivia continued.

"So maybe another nanny or parent saw someone?" Amanda asked.

"Exactly." Olivia said taking a breath.
