06:51, 27 February 2024"Sophie! Please! Go do your hair!" a tiny face in a mirror screeched at Sophie when she woke up.
She looked at herself in the mirror and sighed. Sure, her hair was a mess. But she wasn't going to let Vertina win again. She'd been listening to her lately, doing her hair and wearing clothes. Not anymore. So she smiled at Vertina, and said, "I'll do it when you go away." and walked out of the mirror's sight. The tiny face disappeared and Sophie was left alone. Well, in her room. There were still two bodyguards outside her door. Sandor, and Bo. Flori was sitting under Calla's panakes tree again, singing to herself while Tarina was sorting out her troll stuff. And Nubiti, well, she was somewhere deep underground. Sophie sighed as she thought of Calla. How much she'd missed her, how brave Calla had been. And she decided to make starkflower soup and pour it into the grounds at Calla's tree.
So she trotted over to her bathroom and pulled on some black leggings and a white top. She looked at her hair in the mirror. She sighed. She didn't feel like tidying it up. So she just tied it into a loose ponytail and walked out.
She opened her door, only to hear a tiny, but still audible, yelp. Sophie loomed behind the door at where Sandor was. "Good morning, Miss Foster." he said. Sophie gave him a smile. "Sandor, I'm going to Keefe's today." she told him. Sandor opened his mouth to say something, when a voice was heard from across the room.
"Your going to WHO'S today!!?"
"Keefe's!"
"Not that boy again!"
"Oh yes that boy again."
"Sophie, that boy's affecting you!"
Sophie groaned. "Dad, his name is Keefe."
Grady shrugged. "Keefe, that boy, same thing." Sophie laughed. Edaline came in and patted Sophie on the back. "Take it easy, Grady." she said. Thank God for her adoptive mom.
Sophie smiled at Edaline as she kissed her forehead. "Sophie, pancakes for breakfast!" Edaline smiled. Sophie smiled back. As she finished her breakfast and walked out, Sandor right behind, a loud, blaring voice that demanded attention entered her head.
SOPHIE! KEEFE! FRIEND! FLY! SOPHIE! KEEFE! FRIEND! FLY!
Sophie rubbed her forehead before transmitting back, we're coming
And she immediately regretted it, as Silveny sent a lot of KEEFE!s Wynn and Luna came trotting up to her and Luna nuzzled her nose against Sophie's arm while Wynn tugged at her blouse. Sophie eventually got up and followed Wynn, since she could sense that he wanted her to follow him. And so she did. And he led her... ... right back to the Gorgodon's enclosure. He blinked in and out of sight, and was back in the cage. Sophie sighed. She'd never tried transmitting to the baby Alicorns before, but, she might as well give it a go.
Wynn? Gorgodon is not a friend!
FRIEND! GORGODON! FRIEND!
No! Gorgodon is not a friend! Gorgodon will kill you!
GORGODON! LONELY! FRIEND!
Sophie gasped. The Gorgodon was... lonely? She looked in the cage at the Gorgodon snapping away at Wynn, Luna about to enter. She sighed. So much for being lonely.
Wynn, Luna, come out.
GORGODON! FRIEND! LONELY!
Come out, please?
GORGODON! FRIEND! LONELY!
Sophie sighed and severed the connection. The baby Alicorns were as stubborn as the mama Alicorn. She'd just have to get Grady, then.
So she trotted back into the house and called for him. "Well, I'll be going to Keefe's now, then." She said, giving Grady and Edaline a hug.
"Bye Sandor, Bo." She took a look at her bodyguards and smiled. She'd finally be able to get away from them.
"I go where you go." Sandor insisted. Bo nodded. Sophie had a retort. "Yeah, but, I'm riding Silveny there! You can't sit on Silveny! You'll break her bones! And plus, she's scared of you."
"Then you won't be taking Silveny." Sandor insisted again. Sophie smiled at them. "Yeah, that's not happening."
And as he listed a ton of reasons she shouldn't take Silveny, Sophie tuned him out. She thought back of how much Sandor had protected her. How she'd been kidnapped. But that was before she had a bodyguard. How many times she would've died when the Neverseen attacked, if not for Sandor.
"Fine, but, I'm taking Silveny, so, I don't think she'll be able to take both your weights, no offense." Sandor immediately said he would go, while Bo stayed quiet for a while. "Romhilda is there right?" Bo asked. Sophie nodded. "Could you tell me a little about the Bo and Ro thing?" She asked. Bo ignored her, going back inside. "Hey!" Sophie called after him. "Come back! Tell me!"
"I'll tell you when Tam and Keefe become best friends!" He yelled to her. Sophie sighed. She'd been sighing a lot recently, ever since their latest Neverseen showdown.
Then she remembered what she had to do.
Silveny?
SOPHIE! KEEFE! FRIEND! FLY!
Yes okay. But can Sandor come...?
Silveny tilted her head to look at the burly, seven foot tall goblin. Sophie braced herself for the worst.
SOPHIE! KEEFE! FRIEND! GRAY GUY! FLY!
Sophie burst out laughing, Sandor staring at her as if she was mad. "Miss Foster, what's wrong?"
"I'll tell Keefe and see how he tells you..." she said when she finally stopped laughing.
Silveny lowered her neck, and Sophie climbed on, Sandor behind her. Then, she sent a burst of energy into Silveny's mind in case Sandor was too heavy. Silveny whinnied as a thank you, and they flew up.
"I do not like this part..." Sandor muttered as they freefell towards the ground.
There was a crack of thunder as they slipped into the void, and Sophie sent an image of Keefe's home to Silveny. There was another crack, and they landed on the ground at the Shores of Solace.
Sandor was first to get up, sniffing his surroundings for suspicious activity. Sophie lay on the grass, not really wanting to get up. But the transmissions of KEEFE! KEEFE! KEEFE! in her head forced her to.
The doors of the house opened. "Foster!" and out tumbled a 16 year old with disheveled blond hair and ice blue eyes, an ogre right behind him.
