06:51, 27 February 2024Recap:
Silveny lowered her neck, and Sophie climbed on, Sandor behind her. Then, she sent a burst of energy into Silveny's mind in case Sandor was too heavy. Silveny whinnied as a thank you, and they flew up.
"I do not like this part..." Sandor muttered as they freefell towards the ground.
There was a crack of thunder as they slipped into the void, and Sophie sent an image of Keefe's home to Silveny. There was another crack, and they landed on the ground at the Shores of Solace.
Sandor was first to get up, sniffing his surroundings for suspicious activity. Sophie lay on the grass, not really wanting to get up. But the transmissions of KEEFE! KEEFE! KEEFE! in her head forced her to.
The doors of the house opened. "Foster!" and out tumbled a 16-year-old with dishevelled blond hair and ice-blue eyes, an ogre right behind him.
----------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey, Keefe!" she greeted him. Keefe looked particularly excited that day, and Sophie wondered why.
"Have you heard?" he asked, as Sophie settled down on her bed, Sandor blending into the shadows. They had run into Keefe's room and locked the door as soon as they had greeted each other, both eager not to bump into Keefe's father, Lord Cassius. He enjoyed verbally abusing his son and was honestly a pain-in-the-butt. Silveny had flown away, back to Greyfell and would return when Sophie transmitted to her.
"Heard about what?" Sophie asked, laying down on Keefe's bed and reaching for Mrs Stinkbottom.
Keefe rolled his eyes at her, before explaining, "Biana is hosting a sleepover tonight at Everglen! Everyone'll be there, including Bangs boy." He said the last two words in an annoyed expression, obviously not looking forward to seeing Tam. Sophie suppressed the urge to giggle. Keefe and Tam were actually quite similar, and if they could put aside their differences, Sophie was sure that they would become best friends.
"Biana hasn't mentioned any of that to me," Sophie said, frowning. She had hailed Biana that morning to catch up, as she hadn't seen the Vacker's much that week and had wanted to check in on her friend.
Just as she said that, Sophie's imparter rang. It was Biana.
"Sophie!! Guess what?" she squealed. Sophie sighed before grinning. "You're invited to a sleepover at Everglen tonight and everybody is going?" she asked, laughing at her friend's shocked and bemused expression. "Ho-How did you know?" she stuttered. That made Sophie laugh even more.
"Can't you tell where I am?"
Biana's brows furrowed slightly as she tried to make out where Sophie was. "Oh! You're at Keefe's?" she sounded a little jealous and seemed to be deep in thought.
"Yeah! I just got here, and Keefe told me."
That seemed to make Biana forget about whatever she was thinking about as her eyes narrowed and she shouted, "Keefe Sencen! I told you not to tell Sophie! I was going to tell her!"
Keefe had the decency to look a little sheepish. "Oops?" he said, winking at Biana before moving out of the camera range. Sophie and Biana sighed. "Anyway, just bring Ella, a change of clothes and some makeup!" She said, perking up a little.
"What makes you think I own any makeup?" Sophie asked, raising her eyebrow. Biana began to laugh, until she realised Sophie wasn't joking. "Wait, you're serious?" she asked, shocked. Sophie nodded.
"Well, I guess we'll have to make do with what we have at my house! Bye! Fitz is yelling at me!"
Without waiting for Sophie's response, Biana abruptly hung up. Sophie sighed at the imparter's screen, where Biana's face had once been.
"So," Keefe said, standing up from his chair and sitting beside Sophie on his bed. "What did you come here to talk about?"
"Eh, just wanted to have a talk with you," she said, picking at her hair.
Keefe grinned. "Someone's been missing the Keefster!"
Sophie rolled her eyes for the umpteenth time.
**TIME SKIP COS IM LAZY AND IDK WHAT TO WRITE**
"Bye, Foster! See you at the Vackers!" he waved goodbye to Sophie as she took out her home crystal. Sophie smiled back at him, a beautiful smile, before letting Silveny fly high into the sky.
As Keefe watched Sophie and Silveny fly away, he began to think about what he planned to do that night. Keefe Sencen was going to confess his crush to Sophie. He paled a little at the thought. 'What if she rejected him? Would they ever be able to go back to becoming friends? Didn't she have a crush on Fitz?' Sophie used to get all those heart flutters and excitement whenever she saw Fitz, but lately, they had died down a little. Maybe Keefe still stood a chance. A small one, but a chance nonetheless.
