Chapter 63 - Loving Eachother

For a long moment they just remained wrapped up in each other, the world outside his dorm fading away as they breathed in sync, soaked in each other's warmth, and let everything that had happened over the past chaotic hours settle. Bakugo exhaled shakily against her hair, the relief of having her back—truly back—hitting him all over again. He squeezed her tighter, as if to reassure himself that she wasn't going anywhere.

Yuuki nuzzled closer, her fingers trembling slightly as she clung to the fabric of his shirt. "K-Katsuki...?" she whispered, her voice fragile but filled with affection.

He hummed softly in response, rubbing gentle circles into her back with his thumb.

She pulled back just enough to look up at him, her cheeks softly flushed, her eyes glimmering with emotion. For a second she looked nervous, as if she wasn't sure she could say what she was feeling—but then she whispered it anyway, breathless and earnest.

"I love you... Katsuki."

Bakugo froze—not because he didn't feel it, but because hearing it so clearly, so sincerely, hit him like a punch straight to the chest. His eyes softened almost instantly, his jaw unclenching, the tension he always carried melting away in a single heartbeat. Then, without hesitation, he cupped her face in both hands and leaned in until their noses brushed, his voice rough but steady.

"I love you too... Yuuki. More than you know."

Yuuki's breath caught, and Bakugo kissed her forehead, then her cheek, then finally her lips—slow, gentle, filled with the emotion he rarely let anyone see. He pulled her fully back into his arms, hugging her even tighter now, as if the words themselves had bound them closer together.

She curled into his chest, her hands resting over his heart, feeling its warm, strong rhythm beneath her palms. Bakugo let his chin rest atop her head, his fingers threading through her hair in long, soothing strokes. Everything felt peaceful, grounded, real—like the whirlwind of the day had finally calmed into something steady and safe.

"I'm not letting anything take you away from me again," he murmured softly, a promise rather than a threat, filled with quiet devotion.

Yuuki smiled against him, hugging him back just as tightly.

And in the quiet comfort of Bakugo's arms, wrapped in warmth and whispered feelings, it felt like the first moment in a long time where everything was right.
