By the next morning, the dorms of Class 1-A felt strangely peaceful again—so peaceful that it was almost hard to believe the previous day's chaos had even happened. It was as if the whole building had exhaled overnight, and now the air was back to its normal, warm, familiar rhythm. Students chatted in the hallways, breakfast sizzled in the kitchen, and sunlight spilled through the windows in soft gold streaks. Everything felt calm. Everything felt normal.
Or—almost normal.
Kaminari and Mineta approached Yuuki like two prisoners walking toward their final judgment, their steps stiff, their eyes wide, their hands clasped tightly in front of them. Both wore identical expressions of deep guilt, dread, and genuine regret. Kaminari's voice cracked the moment he attempted to speak, and Mineta nervously wrung his hands so hard they squeaked.
"Yuuki..." Kaminari began, swallowing hard. "We... uh... we messed up. Really bad. Worse than bad. Terrible."
Mineta nodded rapidly, tears already forming. "W-We were idiots! And selfish! And desperate! And stupid! So stupid! The stupidest we've ever been!" He fell to his knees dramatically, hands clasped like he was praying to her. "We're so, so, so, so sorry!"
The rest of Class 1-A watched silently from the background, leaning over couches, peeking around corners, or hovering with cups of tea in hand. The room was quiet—not with judgment but with curiosity, waiting to see how Yuuki would react, though many already had a good guess. Even Bakugo stood in the back, arms crossed, eyes narrowed, teeth gritted, clearly restraining himself from blowing them through the ceiling.
Yuuki, gentle as ever, stepped forward slowly. She pressed her fingertips together nervously, her soft voice barely above a whisper. "I... I was scared. I didn't understand what was happening. And... I really didn't like the way it made me feel."
Mineta looked like he was about to evaporate.
Kaminari looked like he might faint.
"But," Yuuki continued, taking a small breath as she mustered her courage, "I forgive you. Both of you. I don't... want to hold anything against anyone. And I know you're sorry."
Kaminari collapsed onto the floor in overflowing relief.
Mineta burst into hysterical sobbing. "She's an ANGEL! A LITERAL ANGEL SENT FROM ABOVE!"
Bakugo's eye twitched at the volume.
The whole class let out a collective exhale—relieved, impressed, and honestly not surprised at how kind Yuuki was.
From then on, it truly did feel like everything went back to normal.
Students returned to their routines, their laughter, their studies. Training felt focused again. Meals were lively. And yet... there was one very obvious change.
Bakugo.
He didn't leave Yuuki's side for more than a minute at a time. He hovered behind her like a shadow, an unbearably protective shadow wearing a scowl and glaring at anyone who got within three feet of her. He sat beside her at meals, walked her to and from class, held her hand almost constantly, and shot daggers at Kaminari and Mineta every time they came into the room—though the two boys wisely kept their distance.
And the clinginess?
It didn't stop there.
Whenever Yuuki sat on the couch, Bakugo sat right beside her—shoulder pressed to hers, arm draped behind her, or outright pulling her into his lap if he felt she hadn't been close enough. Whenever she tried to stand, he guided a hand to her waist and tugged her back with an annoyed huff, muttering things like, "Where do you think you're going?" or "You're staying right here."
He also kept kissing her neck. Constantly.
Soft, claiming kisses just below her ear or on the curve of her neck—light enough to make her squeak, slow enough to make her melt, and purposeful enough to make EVERYONE in the room blush.
Yuuki was flustered beyond belief, her cheeks permanently pink as she squeaked and tried to bury her face in her hands. "K-Katsuki... s-stop, everyone's watching..."
Bakugo only smirked against her skin. "Good. Let 'em."
He'd kiss her again, slower this time, and Yuuki would go limp with embarrassment.
The rest of the class reacted exactly how one might expect.
Mina clasped her hands together dramatically. "OH MY GOSH, THEY'RE SO CUTE I CAN'T STAND IT!"
Uraraka giggled behind her fingers. "She gets shy so easily... it's adorable."
Kirishima chuckled warmly. "Man, Bakugo's gone soft. I'd never have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes."
Midoriya happily. "Kacchan is incredible..."
Even Todoroki tilted his head slightly. "They are... pleasant to observe."
Kaminari sighed dramatically from across the room. "I guess... this is fine... I mean... they do look cute together..."
Mineta sniffled. "I can't even be mad. I'm just... happy for her..."
And there, in the center of their classmates' smiles and laughter, Bakugo pressed another kiss against Yuuki's cheek, tightening his arm around her and muttering possessively: "She's mine."
Yuuki felt her face ignite, but despite her flustered state her expression softened—because she was his. And he was hers.
Bakugo released a long exhale, the kind that came from deep in his chest, the kind that Yuuki could feel rumble against her back as she sat in his lap. Yuuki blinked and turned slightly to face him, her soft expression full of innocent curiosity.
Before she could ask anything, Bakugo lowered his head, his mouth near her ear, his voice dropping into a low, rough whisper meant only for her. "Yuuki... I wanna be alone with you."
Yuuki stiffened immediately, her entire body jerking upright in his lap like she'd been electrocuted. Heat flooded her cheeks, spreading from her ears down her neck as her breath hitched. She turned wide eyes toward him, her voice cracking adorably. "A-Alone? W-With m-me? Wh-What do you m-mean... by... alone?"
Bakugo didn't answer her. Not a word. He just looked at her—looked at her in that way of his, the look that always made her stomach twist and her heart flutter and her thoughts scatter into a hundred pieces. His eyes softened, but they held something intent, something warm and fierce and undeniably his.
Yuuki squirmed, pressing her hands nervously to her chest. "Katsuki...? Um... c-can you maybe say what you mea—"
But he was already standing.
He rose with one fluid, determined motion, and before she could even register it, Bakugo reached down and captured her hand firmly in his. His fingers laced with hers—tight, warm, possessive—and he tugged her upward, pulling her gently but insistently off the couch and straight into his side.
Yuuki squeaked, stumbling a little as she was forced to stand. "B-Bakugo?! W-Where are we—?"
"Come on," he muttered, not looking back, not hesitating for even a moment.
With the same unwavering determination he used during training or battles, Bakugo started walking—fast. His grip stayed secure around her hand, thumb brushing over her knuckles every few seconds like he was slowly losing patience just being near the others. Yuuki let out another small, nervous sound, her steps quick and light as she tried to keep up.
All around them, Class 1-A watched with wide eyes and knowing smirks.
Mina clutched Uraraka's arm. "OH. MY. GOSH."
Uraraka giggled. "He's not even hiding it anymore."
Kirishima chuckled loudly. "Get her, bro!"
Midoriya turned red. "K-Kacchan..."
But Bakugo didn't hear—or maybe he just didn't care.
He kept walking, jaw clenched, gaze fixed straight ahead as he led Yuuki out of the common room and down the hallway toward the dorm rooms. Yuuki followed behind him in a flustered daze, her free hand holding her bunny plush that she'd brought downstairs earlier, her eyes darting around nervously.
"B-Bakugo...?" she whispered again, her voice tiny. "Are... are you mad?"
"No," he said simply, his tone low but not sharp. "Just wanna be with you. Alone."
Yuuki's heart practically burst.
Her knees wobbled, her face turned pink down to her collarbones, and she nearly tripped over her own slippers as they reached the door to his dorm room.
Bakugo didn't slow.
He opened his door with one hand, still holding hers with the other, and pulled her directly inside with him—no hesitation, no second thoughts, no looking back at the curious, whispering audience they left behind.
The door shut behind them with a soft, final click.
•••
The door had barely finished clicking shut when Bakugo turned toward her—slowly, deliberately, like he'd been holding himself back for far too long. Yuuki barely had time to inhale before his hand slid gently along her cheek, his thumb brushing the soft curve of her jaw. His eyes softened in a way they never did for anyone else, warm and focused entirely on her.
Then he leaned in and kissed her.
It wasn't rushed or demanding. It wasn't the kind of heated, explosive passion everyone expected from him. It was slow. Gentle. Deep enough to make Yuuki's breath catch, but tender enough that she felt safe sinking into it. Yuuki's hands trembled as they slowly rose to his chest, curling lightly into the fabric of his shirt. Bakugo's other hand moved to her waist, guiding her in tiny, careful steps backward until the backs of her knees brushed his bed.
Yuuki blinked up at him, cheeks pink, eyes wide. "Katsuki...?"
He didn't push her. Instead he leaned his forehead against hers, his breath warm and steady. "It's okay," he murmured, voice low but soft in a way only she ever heard. "We go slow. As slow as you want."
Yuuki's heart melted. She nodded shyly, and Bakugo kissed her again—still gentle, still taking his time, still making sure she felt every bit of security in his touch. His lips moved against hers patiently, letting her decide the pace, letting her respond when she felt comfortable. When she lifted her hands from his chest to wrap them around his neck, Bakugo exhaled softly, almost in relief, and guided her to sit down on the edge of the bed before joining her.
He leaned over her, but only just—close enough to kiss her, close enough that Yuuki could feel the warmth radiating from him. Every movement was controlled, intentional. He kissed her again, slower this time, lingering like he wanted to memorize the shape of her lips, the way her breath hitched, the tiny nervous whimper she made before relaxing against him.
When Yuuki leaned back slightly, he followed her only after she tugged him with a gentle pull of his shirt. They settled on the mattress together—him half-braced above her on his elbows, her lying beneath him with her hair spread across his blanket like a soft halo. Bakugo paused, eyes searching her face, checking her expression like it was the only thing that mattered.
"You good?" he whispered, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
Yuuki nodded again, breath shaky but sure. "Y-Yes... I'm okay."
His smile was small, subtle, but real. And then he kissed her... again—deep and sweet. His thumb stroked her cheek with heartbreaking tenderness, and every few seconds he would break away for just a moment to make sure she was still alright, still comfortable, still with him. He kissed the corner of her mouth, the tip of her nose, then returned to her lips with a slow, drawn-out sigh that made Yuuki's entire body warm.
Yuuki's fingers traced lightly along his shoulders, her touch timid but affectionate, and every time she touched him Bakugo softened more, his movements growing smoother, almost careful in a way no one would ever believe if they saw him.
Minutes passed in quiet, gentle kisses. Slow breaths. Soft murmurs. The quiet creak of the mattress as they shifted closer together.
Bakugo rested his forehead against hers again, eyes half-lidded, voice barely above a whisper. "Tell me if you want me to stop... or slow down... or anything. I'm not gonna do a damn thing you don't want."
Yuuki smiled shyly up at him, her hand coming up to cup his cheek as she whispered back, "I trust you... Katsuki."
Bakugo's breath hitched—just slightly—before he kissed her again with a tenderness so unlike the explosive hero everyone else knew. It was slow, warm, patient... everything Yuuki needed, exactly the way she needed it.
