Chapter 7

Lumine's POV:

It had been a week. The dinner was tonight. Ajax barely talked to me more then necessary, I did too but I was waiting for him, to apologize! To say something. I looked at myself in the mirror. It's a fancy place. So I wore a tight black dress, it went to the floor and gold was accenting it all around. Made the girls look nice too. I put on some crystal earrings and grabbed a matching black bag. Slipped my high heels on and checked my hair and make up once more. I look great.. he has to be all over me! Apologizing and everything! I left my apartment. Thoma said he give me a ride there. However I told him I had a ride home. Hoping Ajax would finally understand and take me back to his place.. "Thoma!" I smiled as I got into his car."You look nice!" He smiled."You clean up nicely too!" I smiled."So is this like a couple fight between Signora and him he dragged us into?" He asked."I guess you could say that. Signora is scared I'm after Mr. Tartaglia,." She sighed."Ah so I'm your fake date!" He laughed."Yeah I'm so sorry.." I sighed."It's fine! Ayato and I figured as much! He said he didn't mind!" He smiled."Ayato like our head publicist?" I asked."Yep! We've been dating for a few months!" Thoma smiled."Oh my goodness! That's great! Good for you Thoma!" I smiled at him."How about you?" He asked,"I like someone. But he's being a jerk right now so.." I sighed."Oh dear.. I'm sorry Lumine.." he said."It's okay! I'm sure things will go back to normal soon!"———Thoma and I were seated next to each other at the diner table. It was so fancy in here. Signora and Tartaglia across from us."I'm so glad you brought him! I've heard good things about you!" Signora giggled."It's a pleasure to meet you ma'am..." he said.Dinner was awkward. Most of it was Signora bugging Tartaglia. And Thoma and I talking about the food. And finally it was the end of diner. We were at the front door. "I should get going..." Thoma said."Yeah! Thanks a lot for helping me out!" I smiled and hugged him.We are good friends. I looked over to Tartaglia. Thoma left and I was just in ear shot of Signora and Tartaglia. "So why don't you come and spend the night?~" Signora winked at him. He looked over to me. He sighed before a smile went to his face. Is he? Finally! But then my heart dropped, his smile faded and he nodded to Signora before saying something I couldn't hear. With that they both left. My heart shattered. Did he just go home with her... he's.. gonna do the things that only we've done together... no..I walked out before walking on the street. I atleast got to find a bus stop. And I did. I found one. The bus should come soon according to the schedule. I looked around. The air was freezing but my body was burning. It all hurts. It all hurts! I cried into my hands. Not being able to hold back anymore. "Excuse me! Ma'am are you okay?" A younger high school girl had found me. "Oh no! Ma'am stay here! You're burning up!" She quickly ran away. I felt my vision blurring and then my head hit concrete.———

"Lumine... please... wake up,.." I heard crying.I knew who's voice that was, my eyes slowly opened."Lumine!" Aether noticed and hugged me tightly."Aether?... what happened?..." I asked as I tried to sit up but my head was killing me."That's what I wanna know... Some girl said she found you on a bench crying and you were burning up, when help found you you were on the ground bleeding.. The doctors said you have a high fever probably due to stress and overworking.." he said."Hm..." I looked around. "I'm sorry.. You had to come visit me and I... I'm sorry for worrying you..." I sniffled beginning to remember why I was crying in the first place. "No need to apologize! Plus we aren't far from each other yknow! It's gonna be okay! Does something hurt?" He asked worriedly.I nodded before there was a knock at the door. "Come in!" Aether called."She has a visitor. Name Ajax." The nurse said."A-Ajax?" I said confused."Do you want him here?" He asked.I nodded my head yes. Even if it's to break up with me. I'd prefer he do it to my face. "Okay! You can send him in!" Aether smiled. I was so nervous. I tried to stop the soft crying but I couldn't. "Hey hey it's okay! You look fine Lumine! I took off your make up so you could be more comfortable!" He said.I smiled at him, he always does just what I need."Lumine!" The door opened.My eyes meet his. My heart felt like it was sinking. I swallowed."What happened?!? Are you okay!" He rushed to me."Why did you leave with her.." I couldn't hold it in as I began to uncontrollably sob. "Huh? Wait are you.. Did you hurt her! You!" Aether stood up suddenly.I quickly grabbed him and shook my head. Crying into him as he hugged me."I-It's all a misunderstanding! I told her I'd only walk her home! And there I flat out rejected her! I promise!" He explained.I sniffled and looked over."R-Really?" I sniffled."I promise! I thought you and Thoma were going home together.." he said.I shook my head no. "Lumine..." he sighed."She's not very good with communication..." Aether laughed."If you hurt her she'll try to fix things from afar. Or hope for it to just happen. She's always been like that. It's caused her a lot of heartache... Lumine you need to be careful at night. You were at a random bus stop. What if it wasn't a highschool girl who found you?" Aether said worried."I'm sorry... I know but... I didn't know what to do..." I sniffled.Aether laughed."You have a twin for a reason..." he giggled."T-Twin?!? Your Aether?!" Ajax shot up suddenly."S-sure am!" Aether said,"Of course we had to meet like this..." he sighed."A-Aether this is Ajax Tartaglia, my..." what do I introduce him as? My boss? My boyfriend? Ex boyfriend!?"I'm her boyfriend.." he smiled at Aether.I looked at him. My eyes filling with tears again. "Ajax!" I cried as I jumped to him hugging him tightly.Aether laughed."She probably still has a fever..." he laughed,"Oh god..." he said."I assume you've dealt with when she has a fever?" Aether laughed."Yes..." he nodded."Poor you!" Aether laughed."Hey!" I pouted.I snuggled into Ajax. Not letting him go now! After all that!!? He's mine!! My eyes were getting heavy though. I finally stopped crying but was tired. "I'll let you two be! Lumine please keep in touch with me Okay?" He smiled."Mmm..." I nodded sleepily."It was nice meeting you!" Ajax smiled."You as well!" Aether said before leaving. I snuggled into Ajax and close my eyes."Lumine I'm so sorry.." he hugged me back finally. "I shouldn't have gotten mad with you. I was just so jealous and annoyed. I didn't want you near Thoma..." he said hugging me."He has a boyfriend.. Ayato our publicist..." I said still not opening my eyes."O-Oh! I see.. so I was really just being a jerk.." he said."Mhm... The meanest one ever..." I said."Sorry..." his voice was so sad.I sat up and looked at him."But I love you, even through your a big jealous jerk.." I smiled at him.His face flushed and he pulled me into a kiss. I didn't pull away as our lips meet and stayed there for a small while. "Lumine... I love you. So so so much. So please stay with me...""I will..." I smiled at him.
