Chapter 26

HELLO! It's been awhile! i'm sorry because i've been sick and have a heavy stomach problem that lead to a bedrest for three days. I give you a long chapter! See you guys soon!

Jennie drags her suitcase to the entrance door to be picked up by the driver while Taehyung just stands in the hallway holding Archie. He's a bit hesitant about her decision to take Jungkook's and Jin's parents plane crash case but he has no choice. Jennie practically begged him.

Flashback two days ago. . .

"Jen, wha-why-what's happening with you right now?" Taehyung couldn't gather a sentence because it doesn't make any sense.

"Jin and Jungkook plane crash turns out not to be an accident, they want to look at it again and present it to the court. They want me to be their lawyer." Jennie said excitedly.

Taehyung examined her facial reaction, he's confused why suddenly Jennie looks so happy with this. "Uh, Jen. why do you suddenly get excited?"

Jennie sighs and drags Taehyung to their bed to sit together. "Tae, I think being in New York is so frustrating. This whole Fai thing haunts me like crazy, maybe being away for a moment could make up my mind. Plus, I will be working again so it kinda makes me practice again to work hard since it's been a month since I took maternity leave."

"How about Archie? Are you gonna take him with you?" Taehyung arched his eyebrows.

"I just planned with mom that she will take a commute once a week to bring Archie to Washington. If it's fine with you? It's only 2-3 hours away, he's not going to be cranky because he'll be sleeping. He always sleeps if he's in the car." Jennie said.

Taehyung tried to process this for a moment. Lately, he's been thinking about couple therapy but somehow Jennie takes a step by herself with this plan. Being away from him when in fact they should stick together since it's been hard for both of them, especially Taehyung.

His nightmare comes back again. He never tells Jennie because he knew Jennie was going through the same as him. A year ago his nightmare was about his twin brother, and now it involves his own wife. He witnesses two gunshot accidents even though Jennie didn't technically been shot but there's blood. The blood has been haunting him since today.

"How about me?" Taehyung asked. "Well, there's another option that maybe you could take an interview for the judge job, and while we're waiting you could resign from Omnicom. I know you could get it, we will find a way. Besides, the district court gives you a chance to do another interview due to the accident."

But, that's not what Taehyung meant. What did he mean? Doesn't she know it's been hard for him too? He cried every night for the past month, he's been blaming himself too with every condition in his head about what could've been if they weren't involved in Fai's situation. He's been going through the worst part and Jennie never, even the slightest, does something for him.

"Jen, I meant how I feel–", "Tae, please. Could you do this for me? For once, I want you to accept my permission. You always said I'm always paranoid about my surroundings, maybe this could be a breakthrough for my healing process to be more free." Jennie pleaded again.

"Jen–.", "Tae, please? It's been hard for me, i couldn't sleep because i'm not feeling safe at home, in New York. I'm never going anywhere because I'm scared that someone around me might try to hurt me." Jennie pleaded.

He really can't argue with her. Next thing he knows, if he keeps trying to explain what he feels about this, Jennie will start bombarding him with selfish comments about him or how he couldn't understand this is her second miscarriage. He couldn't take the blame anymore because he already blamed himself for the past month.

"Okay. we'll figure this out."

End of Flashback. . .

Jennie again checks her luggage, handbags, and Archie's diaper bag if he has to go to Washington to visit her with her mom.

"Okay! Mommy's gonna meet you on wednesday, have fun with daddy and grandma. I'm going to miss you little pumpkin." She kisses his mandu cheek and turns to Taehyung.

"Baby, can you go to Washington too to visit me? Please?" Jennie pouted.

Taehyung just chuckled bitterly, he really doesn't like this idea. "I see what I can do." Taehyung said. Jennie leaned on him to kiss him goodbye and left Taehyung and Archie in the apartment.

Taehyung sighed as soon as the door closed and suddenly the apartment felt hollow. He looks at Archie who plays his fist with his mouth. "You want to take a bath right now? Maybe after that we could read a story before going to take a nap." Taehyung kisses Archie's head. "I love you, buddy."

First week has been tough for Taehyung because he worries about Jennie and Archie. Taehyung keeps calling her to check her up if she's going through a panic attack or not because ever since that incident, Jennie has been going through it severely.

He also worried for Archie. He rarely sees his parents. Taehyung has to go work early because the company seems to have a problem and Jennie is in Washington. Leaving him with his grandma is good but sometimes Taehyung is just scared he will be attached more to his grandma rather than his own parents.

One time when he entered his apartment, he saw Jennie's mom with Archie in the living room. "Taehyung? Is that you?" she called.

"Yes, mom. Is everything ready?" Taehyung checked. Today is Archie's first trip to Washington. In the past, Jennie was the one who always worried for Archie's safety, but now it's Taehyung's turn to be really worried.

"Uhm, i already packed a cabin suitcase for him, there's everything in it. His bottle warmer, his night time stories, toys, and folded playpen. His diapers and everything essentials already with Jennie, she brought them when she left. I will bring extra clothes and a jacket if Washington turns a bit colder." Taehyung said as he dragged the suitcase.

Jennie's mom just chuckled. "Wow, you're really preparing for all of this. Thank you, Taehyung. We'll go, okay? Say bye to daddy, honey." Jennie's mom talks to Archie and he's giggling.

Taehyugn smiles and gives him a kiss on his cheeks. "Okay, take care. Call me once you arrive, mom. Jennie has completely shut down her phone, she's really busy." Taehyung said.

Suddenly, Jennie's mom's face changed. "Taehyung, I guess we should talk first before we go." She put Archie back in a big playpen in the living room.

"What is it? You can't go to Washington often? Work is finally calling you?" Taehyung seems to worry.

"No, no, it's not that. Something's come to the mail today. I think we should talk about this." Jennie's mom brings out an envelope from the coffee table.

Taehyung took it from her hand and read the label.

'Sender: Dr. Paula Paulsen. Ph. D.'

Taehyung was surprised. It's from the couple's therapy he's about to sign with Jennie but it got canceled since Jennie already took a case in Washington. Taehyung already sent an email to know more. The doctor gave him a newsletter and offered a physical brochure and booklet to know more about the couple's therapy. He put his address but didn't expect to get the brochure right away because he's not keeping in touch to book a session with her anymore.

"I thought it has something to do with Jennie's health and it's her doctor. I didn't open the envelope though, I tried to check her background on the website but I was shocked when she turned out to be a psychiatrist instead of an OBGYN." Jennie's mom explained.

"Why didn't you tell her?" She started. "What?" Taehyung seems confused. He expects Jennie's mom will be against it but she seems to think it's a good idea in the first place.

"Do you agree with this?" Taehyung made sure again. "As long as it helps your marriage then why not? You guys are married but it looks like both of you are handling it by yourselves. I thought you're on board with Jennie's decision but I was wrong, you're miserable with this when I look at that envelope. Why didn't you tell me? I could talk her out of this." Jennie's mom said.

But, one thing she didn't expect is suddenly Taehyung crying. He hugged her and cried on her shoulder. Jennie's mom feels bad about this so she hugs him so tight and comforts him.

"I try to talk to her, okay? But if you want to go there, just go. I support you." Jennie's mom assured him. "I don't want to go alone, I hate it. I can't go through with this alone. I need her." Taehyung cried.

This is the first time he breaks down. He tries to find a silver lining with this. Jennie's brave again, she's becoming herself again to not worry about her surroundings. She's happy. But, is he happy? Does Jennie ever ask him that? Never.

After Archie's left with his grandma, Taehyung's alone in his apartment. He tries to jog and practice his cooking. He's getting good with it.

When he tried to make dinner from a cooking book Jennie bought, he didn't expect someone to knock on his door. Archie and Jennie's mom aren't going back until Sunday so he's a bit anxious about who's in the door.

"Lisa, what are you doing?" Taehyung seemed surprised because he never thought Lisa would come here. Lisa checks himself and she can see his eyebags, his disheveled hair, his pajama and a knit cardigan. He seems not fine at all.

"Oppa, i bring this for you and Jennie unnie. I haven't had a chance to visit you guys since that accident, I'm sorry" Lisa raised a bag of food. She bought soup, pie, and a pack of juice.

"Ah, Lisa. Come in. You don't have to do this, just your presence is fine." Taehyung said while grabbing the bag from her hand, it seems heavy since it contains so much food. Lisa walks into his apartment, she seems a bit confused because it feels so empty.

"Uhm, Jennie unnie still not home yet? Is she usually working this late?" Taehyung was taken aback by her words. "Uh, she's in washington. Didn't you know it? She takes Jin's and Jungkook's parents' case." Lisa turns around to him.

Her head spinning around, she can't hear anything even if Taehyung yells a little bit at her to get her attention.

"LISA!" Taehyung screamed when Lisa hit the ground.

After an hour, Lisa woke up with a heavy headache. She opens her eyes and it's dark. "Lisa! you're awake, here i make you chamomile tea and i open the soup you bought for me. I think for now you're the one who really needs this." He placed the tray on the coffee table beside her.

"Uhm, what time is it?" Taehyung checks the clock wall behind her.

"It's midnight, I think you should sleep here, we have a spare room. With conditions like this, I don't think it's right for you to go home. I don't have my car with me. Jennie's mom borrowed it to take Archie to Washington."

"Uhm, oppa, i-uh-", "He left just like that, didn't he?" Lisa nods and her eyes start stinging again.

"I feel you, although Jennie asked for permission first. But, she still can't understand my feelings that in time like this, it's best for us to stick together going through with it." Taehyung looked down, he broke down too, and Lisa felt sad to see him like this. They both aren't fine at all.

In the office, Taehynug didn't interact that much with Yoongi and Lisa. he's trying to avoid them to ask about how things are going. It hurt him to remember it. But, he knows someday he has to face them for work.

Knock knock

Lisa turns her head to the door and finds Taehyung standing in the doorway. "Hey, what's up? It's been a long time." Lisa said.

"The boss told me to accompany you with your deal. She said it's a huge partnership and she thinks a legal team would be nice to be by your side." Taehyung said. He entered her office and sat across from her.

But, one thing he noticed. Lisa's eyes are reddened, she looks like just cried a while ago or maybe for a long time because that eyes looks like has been going through so much.

"Lisa. What's wrong? Why were you crying?" Taehyung asked. "Huh?" she looks at her compact mirror right away on her desk. "Oh this? Uhm. . ." Lisa tried to find an excuse but she failed.

"It's Jungkook? Isn't it? He is still mad at you for keeping it a secret?" Taehyung asked.

"Would you wait for him?" Taehyung is curious. "Yes, of course. I love him so much, and we recently got along together again. It's my fault and I want to fix it, I want to be on board with whatever he does there."

Taehyung notices it's all a lie. Lisa wants Jungkook to come back, at least once in a while. She still can't bear Jungkook remaining mad at her but they are still silent with each other.

He sighed and stood up. "Let's go, let's have some coffee and maybe we can go shopping. I need a new book to read and maybe a couple of bedtime stories for Archie. I can't read "Elephant in a Circus" a hundred times for him, I'm going to be crazy."

Lisa seems so confused. "But, how about work–", "Do it later, right now we have to ease up our mind before going to work again, let's go!" Taehyung grabs Lisa's coat and handbag to force her to get up. Lisa knows Taehyung must've been in dark times too since Jennie's departure. So, she just goes along with it.

After that day, Taehyung always brings Lisa to lunch everyday. He knows what she's going through, he's going through the same, so he decided for both of them to stick together to survive in this.

When Taehyung and Lisa just try to survive by sticking with each other, Jennie, Jungkook, and Jin are trying to stick together too for winning the case.

"They give us a $5 million dollar settlement." Jennie said to Jin and Jungkook.

"Huh, only $5 million? I thought they would give us $100 million until they went bankrupt. Even that amount won't make us just forget it like that, but $5 million? It's like slapping in the face if we take it." Jin sarcastically speaks.

Jungkook, Jin, and Jennie took a case to trial in Washington, Virginia. They decided to go there since the last open case three years ago was held here, only with a different judge this time. They trace with a detective about all of this, they find one Jeon-Kim tech enemy that is involved in this case. They talked to the suspect who ordered the pilot to suicide, and finally after they cornered him, he finally confessed.

Spiegels Motors was Jeon-Kim's old enemy. They were at war back then to compete in a big merger to the US oil 's biggest company. After being under review by the judge, finally they take the case to trial. But, since it's a cold case, it's just getting complicated. Thanks to Jennie being their lawyer, she can find a loophole.

"Wait a minute, Jisoo called me." Jin exited the hotel room.

Jungkook and Jennie become quiet for a moment. "So. . . You didn't tell Lisa?" She asked. "How could you know?", "Because you seem never in touch with her, it's been a week and a half since you left New York. I never heard you call or got a call from her." Jennie explained.

She's good. "I can't face her, i just, i can't--it's too hard" Jungkook face palm himself. "Why didn't you get mad at me? I'm the one who found it." Jennie said. Jungkook chuckled to himself.

"She's the closest person that I know. You don't know me so I thought you just wanted to spare my feelings, but her? She knows me so well. If she loves me, better left unsaid is not an option in this area." Jennie thinks for a moment, a half of his explanation is right but still, leaving Lisa like this is wrong. She is already fed up with guilt, and this silent treatment only makes her suffocate.

"At least tell her. She must be devastated right now, she doesn't know where you have been. She loves you and sometimes the person you love makes mistakes but it's not good when you punish her like this. Text her." She throws his phone, and Jungkook quickly grabs it.

"How about you?", "What do you mean?" Jennie doesn't understand why suddenly it's about her this time.

"Don't you think you're a little bit selfish? He broke down too, noona. Although, he seems like a cold man but deep inside his heart, losing something he means the most means so much to him more than his own cold personality. You're not there for him, only make him feel empty and useless." Jungkook explained. Jennie just gets quiet while looking through the window. He's right but she still wants to do this, it's her remedy.

Jennie picks up her phone and calls Taehyung, he's been ignoring her call ever since she left. She didn't expect him to answer it but apparently it's her lucky day.

"Hey." Taehyung greeted her with a hoarse voice. Jennie smiled and decided to change it to face timing. "Let me see you."

She waited for him to turn on his camera. Jennie could see Taehyung's sleepy face, his bare collarbone. He's not wearing a shirt when he's sleeping.

"Baby, it's noon. This is so unlike you to wake up this late." She giggles when Taehyung just hums because he still has not gathered himself to talk, he is still so sleepy.

"I don't have Archie in here so I don't have any chores to do. I was playing an online game with Yoongi all night. I just finished at four." Taehyung said.

"Wow, it sounds like you are having a good time, it seems like you live like a bachelor. Remember, Archie is on the way with mom to New York.."

"Well, I have been feeling like a bachelor these past weeks." He replied.

Jennie gritted her teeth, she knows there's a meaning behind his words. "Uhm, baby, how's Lisa doing?"

Taehyung gets up from his bed and brings his phone with him to walk to the kitchen, still showing his face and half of his topless body.

He arched his eyebrows, he could see Jennie hesitate to ask that, she must've known something from Jungkook about their fight. "What about her?"

"Uhm, you know since Jungkook's here, maybe she's going through something? Kinda like I miss him?" Jennie said still with unsure feelings.

"How about me? Don't you want to know about what I've been through?" Taehyung's voice was bitter. He gets irritated because Jennie is just so oblivious about their own relationship.

Jennie frowned when she heard him. "Why? Something's wrong with you?"

Taehyung chuckled bitterly. "I couldn't believe you." Taehyung mumbled to himself but loud enough for Jennie to hear. She froze and Taehyung realized she heard it but he doesn't care, she has to know how it feels.

"I think I should go, this house is a mess because of last night. Talk to you later." Taehyung is about to hang up on her.

"Wait, tae!" But Jennie's voice doesn't stop him from making him hang up.

He threw his phone to the countertop and facepalm himself. He's frustrated and really pissed with Jennie. It's not all sad he's feeling right now. Anger. But, he has to be grateful. Archie is going to be here. He's his life, the one who makes him feel alive and has meaning. While his relationship with Jennie just gives him a headache.

When Archie is home, Taehyung goes back to being a father to his son. He takes Archie to the park and he finally signs him up to a baby class. It feels like he is already a single parent.

Taehyung took Archie to the park for a whole month, really a remedy for him. Archie started laughing every time he saw a pigeon and saw a dog running around in the park. Taehyung thinks maybe additional members to the family could be a change. Adopting a pet.

Everything feels so dark until it becomes darker when it's been a month. Taehyung receives a call from an unknown number in the morning when he takes Archie to the park.

"Hello?", "Tae, where are you?" Yoongi called him.

"In the park with Archie." , "Lisa is in the hospital. She was drowning when she took a jog. You better come here."

Taehyung was shocked and stood up immediately. He looks at Archie and finally calls Jennie's mom to take his son so he could go to the hospital.

Jennie is with Jin and Jungkook in their apartment. Jin and Jungkook rent two apartments. One bedroom apartment for Jennie and two bedroom apartment for Jin and Jungkook.

They've been in Jin and Jungkook living room for hours ever since the trial today got delayed and they tried to find a strategy but still none. Jennie who occupied herself on her laptop got a message from her phone.

Suddenly, Jennie's phone rings. She got a text message from her mom. "Oh my god! Archie is on the way here again! I miss my baby even if it's just for three days." She pouted.

"What happened to Taehyung?" Jin asked her. She just shrugged, and decided to call her mom to ask about her husband.

"Hello, Jennie. Archie is asleep right now in the car. I think this time he won't be cranky at all." Her mom immediately informed her. "Mom, why did you take him here again? Is something wrong with Taehyung?"

"You didn't know?", "What? What? What happened to him?!" Jennie suddenly got worried and there's so many bad scenarios about Taehyung.

"Lisa was in an accident. She got drowned in Riverside Park by some pedestal, they're looking through it. Taehyung is accompanying her along with their friends."

Jennie suddenly froze on her seat with mouth hanging open, and her face froze. Jungkook and Jin were confused. Did something happen to Taehyung?

She stares at Jungkook with horror in her eyes. Jungkook frowns when she stares at him, still with her phone in her ears. After a moment, Jungkook realized something. It's about him.

"What happened to her?" He asks her coldly. She just stares because she can't speak for what she just heard. "Noona. What. Happened. To. Lisa" He emphasized again. "She-she"

Jungkook bangs the table and makes Jennie finch. "She's in hospital, the pedestal saw her drowning in Riverside Park. Taehyung and Yoongi are taking care of her now." Jennie finally can explain to him. Without even thinking he rushed to the airport even though he didn't borrow anything. His mind is full of horror scenarios.

Jennie and Jin follow Jungkook with their gaze. He suddenly panicked and he tried to call Yoongi, Taehyung, and Jisoo but none of them answered, until Yoongi finally answered him.

He seems pissed on the other line, and they can hear Yoongi scream and Jungkook also scream, they're in a screaming match. "I should go." Jungkook goes to his bedroom and packs up immediately.

Jennie and Jin stare at each other confusedly. "Should we continue this?" Jin asked. "Whatever you want, oppa.", "Lisa is going to be fine, isn't she?", "I guess so, she's strong."

"Hyung, can you help me to get the earliest flight? Please!" Jin jolted up and grabbed his phone to help with Jungkook first. When Jennie was about to help him too, she got a message. This time is from Taehyung.

Taehyung:Are you kidding me? You're going to let your best friend lie on the hospital bed by herself without her husband? Do you know what it's like to go through this alone without their spouse?

Jennie stares at her phone blankly. Taehyung clearly talked about him and her, it's not about Jungkook and Lisa. She stares at Jungkook who is still hyperventilating and walks back and forth, trying to get the earliest flight he can get.

She looked at her phone again, maybe she should go home? End whatever it is?

Taehyung just sighed while sitting beside Lisa's hospital bed. He's frustrated because he thought this could be a way for Jennie to go home too. He is so sure that Jungkook is on the way here right now. But, hours pass by and days pass by. Jennie isn't here. She doesn't come back.

He witnessed Jungkook decide to stay in New York for Lisa, and he won't be joining the case anymore. Lisa is pregnant now, and they had to find out in a most cruel way about her accident, so Jungkook didn't want to miss another opportunity of another life changing moment in his life with Lisa.

He's so glad that Jungkook finally stays, he thinks about Jin and Jennie who are still in Washington, maybe Jungkook still orders them to continue the case. Not until the text message he got when he woke up this morning.

Yoongi:Jisoo already had a baby, she's in the hospital right now with Jin. Do you want to come with me to visit her? Any news coming from Jennie for her arrival to New York?

At first, Taehyung couldn't process the text he got from Yoongi. Jin is back? So, they are already back except Jennie? He checked the message box by refreshing it a couple times, he thought maybe she left a message about her arrival but it turns out none. He hopes it's all mistaken but no, she's not coming back. Where is she?

He checks the time, it is still morning and he has time to take a jog for a while and visit her first in the hospital before going to work.

Taehyung visits Jisoo to the hospital to bring a gift for the baby and the mother. He bought little Gucci socks for infants, and a Dior make-up set for Jisoo.

Knock knock

He opens the door and sees Jisoo sit on the edge of the bed while carrying her baby. She looked at the door and was surprised. "Taehyung! Hey!" Taehyung smiles and closes the door. "Hi noona! Congratulations to the baby." He said as he smiled looking at Jisoo's son in her hands.

"Thank you! I thought you had Archie today? Where is he?" She asked. "Oh, he's with Jenny's mom right now. She takes him to the park in the morning." Jisoo nods. "Jennie still not coming back?"

Taehyung's breath hitched hearing that question. They haven't talked for a week now, he called her but she didn't pick up. One time she called him back but he was just about to go to an important meeting so he hung up right away. Jisoo can see he is sad. He feels lonely.

Ever since they took care of Lisa when she's in hospital from drowning. Taehyung and Jisoo talk and tell each other stories. She really wants to make everything stop for Lisa and Taehyung. All three of them are in hard times. But, at the same time, three of them are facing three stubborn people too, so it's hard to make a good situation.

"I don't know, noona. We're not talking yet." He said while looking down. "I'm sorry, Taehyung. I will order Jin to make her come home, okay?" Jisoo tries to console him.

"No, that's fine. It's her career, I don't want to ruin it." He said he was a supportive husband but deep inside he's a broken person. He's hurting, and depressed. Archie is the one who makes him feel alive. Everytime he comes home or Jennie's mom brings him back, he always finds a reason to feel love. Archie is a part of his love, but half isn't enough. He needs whole love but half of him disappeared just like that without knowing when she'll be back to him.

Suddenly, the door opened again and this time a nurse came in. "Okay, time to try breastfeeding again Mrs. Kim." She said, Jisoo nods.

Taehyung panics, and it's his que to leave. "Ah, uhm, Jisoo noona. I have a gift for you and the baby." Jisoo widens her eyes, it's a Gucci bag and a Dior bag.

"Taehyung! it's too much." Jisoo said. "Ah of course not! Consider this a gift from me and Jennie, okay? see you again sooner, noona." Taehyung said goodbye to her.

He decided to go home first to change his outfit. He was still in casual clothes, he already told his secretary he'll be late today. He opens the door of his apartment, and throws his key to the bowl. When he opens his bedroom door, he surprises someone in front of it.

It's Jennie. She came back.

"Taehyung!" Jennie widens her eyes. She's nervous. It's been a month they haven't seen each other. She misses him so much but she is nervous. Meanwhile, Taehyung was shocked to see Jennie. He couldn't process what's going on right now, he just stared at her blankly. He feels nothing.

Jennie speaks again. "I thought of you at work today, don't you have to work? I was about to visit you" Jennie said.

"Why?" He said coldly.

"Uhm, because i'm coming back?" Jennie feels the tension in him, he sound not happy at all.

"Taehyung" She called him again with pleading eyes.

But, Taehyung just passed by her to enter their bedroom. He is still disappointed but most of his feelings are hurt. Jennie also felt a pang in her heart. She expects Taehyung to at least hug her or say he's missing her, but none. She just got a cold treatment from him.

"I need to go to work right now." He said still in a cold voice. Jennie is about to cry, why does her husband ignore her like that?

"Tae, you really have to go? Can't you stay?" Taehyung, who heard it, just chuckled at her words.

He can't believe she dare to say that when she's the one who left him when things go hard. When they both lose the greatest gift of their life. Their second baby.

"Sorry, I'm busy and I'm late. I just got back from hospital to visit Jisoo noona, maybe you could stop by while you are free right now." He said as he took off his shirt and his jeans.

Now, he just wears his briefs while scanning through his closet for a shirt and trousers. Jennie just stares at his back while her eyes get teary without her realizing. She misses him. She pleads for him not to be like this.

Suddenly, Jennie runs to him and hugs him from the back. He is still naked and only wears his briefs. He can feel wet on his bare back, and suddenly he heard a sniff. Jennie is crying.

"I miss you so much, Taehyung," She whispered between her sobs.

He caresses her cheek and wipes tears from the corner of her eyes. "I have to go, I'm late." He releases his grip to her hand and turns around to grab a shirt and trousers to wear. Jennie shocks and stares at his back again.
