Chapter Twenty

Weapons started firing from everywhere, behind the Dyads.

You exhaled after you had just watch the Twins blow up

H put a hand on your back, rubbing circles on it. He gently pushed you forward

M deactivated the weapon and it went back to form a crystal. She gave you a look, the look of realization. You only shook your head and tilted it towards MIB

You walked towards High T, with a small fake smile.

"Nothing in this universe is unkillable, with the proper voltage" He raised up the gun they had recently used"Are you three all right?" He asked as H placed both hands on his hips

"Yes, sir" H responded

"Never been better. Although, H here took quite a lot of damage. As you can see his shirt" you pointed at the dirt and all the holes. H let out a chuckle, rubbing on his neck

"I see" High T hummed

"Sir, how did you find us?" Asked M

"Experience" one word was said by High T"Riza again, H? I believe you have learned your lesson, seeing as your lovely lady here, looks pleased with you" he added

H sighed  a little smile at him. High T walked towards H with a raised arm

"I knew I could count on you and X. In the end, you'd pull through. You both had always been the greatest partners" High T patted H's shoulder and sending a nod to you

You nod back with a smile

"Thank you, sir" "Thank you, sir" X and H said to High T

You raised a finger up,"I do believe that M, should be taken credit for. We make a good team, sir" you said to him, sending M a wink

"Of course. You too, M" High T looked at M," Agent O, had a feeling about you. A great feeling. She is right." You gave M two big thumbs up as H found his arm around your hips, once again

High T offered out a hand

M gave the weapon to High T

"The universe has a way of leading you, to where you're supposed to be.." High T started

"At the moment you're supposed to be there" X and H finished

"I see you two have made up" observed, High T at H's arm, that's contented around you

"More like made out" M whispered to only you, H and Pawny could hear. You jabbed her side since she was close to you

"Still working on it" you said as you smiled at High T, who patted the bicep of H

"Let's go home" High T announced

Upon arriving at the headquarters, cheers and claps welcomed you

X, H and M stood beside High T in their suits and cleaned body

"Let's keep this safe, shall we?" High T raised the weapon that is placed inside a clear box container" Saunder, inform the Jababian embassy, we have the weapon" High T called out a gray haired woman, who held out an open black briefcase. High T carefully set it down as the woman closed the case and walked away

High T turned to you"Always the outstanding one, X. You never fail to make me impressed" you looked at M beside you. H seemed to be talking to other agents

"Thank you, sir. You should've seen M. She's got the skills, brains and face" you gave a winked as you held out a hand to gesture at her. She smiled at you

"Yes, you three did an excellent job. Quite the first assignment for a probationary agent, M" High T said. Making you and M hummed out a chuckle

"Marrakesh, The Empty Quarter, Naples" High T listed

" A lot of things happened at a short amount of time with you, M. I can imagine great things you'll do in the future with MIB" you pat M's shoulder"Thank you" M muttered

"X is right. Enjoy this moment, M. They never last" High T advised at the women and departed, leaving them in the middle of the room. As he left, M and X had their eyes on the back of his head

"I think I'm feeling something bad is going to happen" you shared your uneasy thoughts to M

"Tell me something I don't know" M sighed, still staring to where High T disappeared to

"Have fun for a while, M. I see you afterwards. I need to go somewhere" you announced to M with a grin and walking away

"I think it's someone, not something " M shouted to you. You continued walking with a huge laugh

You arrive H talking to Agent C, who is behind the counter

"Ah! X, how've you been? I thought you would've blasted H's brains at Riza's" C greeted you

You went beside H, he automatically put his arm around your waist. You didn't mind it at all. You still felt butterflies whenever he does that

"Eh, we don't want blood on my hands now, do we?" You said, resting your elbows on the counter

"I see you two are all good?" C pointed at H's arm, which he proudly showed off

Do friends do this? Friends with feelings for each other, at least

"It's a yes and a no" H answered as C chuckled at the two

"Right. Okay, I don't know how you do it, you keep doing it" C said to H

"Doing what?" "What that, C?" You and H simultaneously asked

"Saving the world from total destruction twice ..in as many years" C answered as you hummed

"I mean, what are the odds" C added giving them a look

"What are the odds" H, X, and C repeated all together

H looked at X in realization as C deadpanned at them

" I want to say this, and only once" you announced seriously

" Dun dun dunn " you whispered creepily

C looked at you with boredom in his eyes. He's not phased by whatever you randomly pull "Not really the time, X"

H, whoever, beeing the supporting person he is, gave you proud smile"Nice timing" you only laughed his statement

You looked around to see M taking a picture with the four eyed alien, you talked to before. You can see that M was busy with her thoughts

Everything felt weird

I mean, since when was it not. It's Women and Men in Black

"Excuse us" H said to C, who also looked to where you were looking

"Yeah" C simply replied

H didn't remove his hand from you as you two walked through the crowd and to approach M

"Hey" you three greeted to each other

"How's it going?" H asked M

"Uh, you know" M shrugged as she looked around

"It's a nice party" you answered

"Yeah, cool party" said H

"Very great party" M responded. It was clear something is bothering the three of you

"Something is wrong" H finally blurted out

"I thought so too" you announced

"That's what I was thinking" M had her brows furrowed as she looked at you

"Right. So when I said to the Dyads that we'll do anything to save our world." You started, looking at them seriously

"They said that they would too" M catched up. Clearly, it had been in her head since the Dyads said it

"Mm-hm" H hummed in agreement"Then, they told us they needed the weapon for The Hive. What if we misunderstood what that meant?" H said conclusions

"Oh, we definitely did. I think they need it to use it against  the Hive, to save their world, and not use it with the Hive" you said. All was beginning to make sense

"Which could mean they were never the Hive at All" H said

"Uh-uh""Yeah" you and M pondered

"But the DNA, the Mutations" M remembered

"Right. High T showed us the forms and informations about that" you urged H to look at his gadget, where all files made are stored

"All right. Let's see" H raised the gadget up"Agent H, Bring up the Dyad forensic report" He said

It scrolled through all the files that every existed

Searching...

File Deleted

"Who has the authority to make a case file disappear?" M asked. You gaped at her

"Oh, that sneaky, rat" you cursed under your breath

"Come on, follow me" H urged the women to follow him

" What about Naples, how did he know we were there?" M asked, walking down the stairs

"He was doing his job" H simply answered

"I doubt that, H." You muttered

"He gave this to me as a gift. It had a chip inside" M held out the compass, that you remembered had a paper about journey and taking a step forward, or something.

"We removed the chip out" you informed H

The door, you arrived at, slid open. There is the woman, Saunder,  behind the counter, who kept the crystal in the briefcase awhile back.

"We need to see the confiscated Jababian weapon" H ordered the gray-haired woman

"Not possible" she denied with a smile

"How's that not possible? We have two senior agents on that case" you refused to back down

"What she said" H pointed his hand to you

"Let's make it possible. Where's the weapon?" H asked

Saunder, bent down to take out the black briefcase. Opening it, it had nothing inside

"I'm starting to think of retiring from this job" you groaned out as you three walked away once again
