Chapter 58

Su Bin prepares coffee for herself while thinking back to what happened during her birthday. She knew she had leave soon. But she couldn't think of when would be a good time. She remembers back to her notebook and remembers that there was about two pages left. "Su Bin!" Taehyung exclaims as he quickly averts her hand to prevent the hot water pouring on her. "Are you okay? You've been off ever since Joonhyeon talked to you at your birthday party."

"I'm okay V Oppa," she says, smiling before putting down the kettle and starts to stir her coffee.

She was about to drink it when Taehyung stops her again. "You didn't even put sugar. Do you want to die of bitterness?" he asks and she smiles sheepishly as he drops some sugar in. "Are you sure, you're perfectly okay?"

"Yes Oppa~ Now go! If not you'll be late to practice and you'll be scolded!" she exclaims, waving him away and he looks at her unsure before she gives him a serious look.

He nods then leave. She slumps against the counter. It was a rainy day which meant that there wasn't going to be much people coming into the cafe. She thinks back to her past life and compares it with now. She smiles as she remembers when she first met BTS. She had called Jimin a pervert when he was just concerned about her. She takes out her notebook which was really fat with the additional pages she added herself.

She grabs a pen before starting to write whatever had happened the past few days. She remembers Han Bin and then stops before twirling the pen in her hand. She presses the home button on her phone to see the picture she took of Han Bin's and her photo strip from her birthday. She smiles as she remembers the moments with Han Bin. BTS had asked her what was going on between the both of her but she replies saying she doesn't know which was the truth. They didn't officialize anything about the both of them.

She then continues to write in her notebook. From time to time, a customer would enter and she would happily greet them, putting the book away before attending to them. She would make small talk with some of the celebrities she knew before they had leave. She decided to make coffee for BTS since its been a long time since they had her coffee.

She texted them to send someone to the cafe before starting to make the coffee after receiving an 'okay' from them. She makes cute latte art for each of them. Their favourite characters putting the heart sign up, smiling widely. The door opens and she looks up to see Jong Kook, immediately smiling. "Oppa!" she greets and he smiles back.

"Coffee order for Ji Hyo. She said that the previous time you made the coffee was a bit bitter, so she requested to have a bit more sugar," the muscular singer conveys what was told to him and she smiles.

"Doesn't Unnie likes it a bit bitter?" she asks and he shrugs. "Give me a moment to finish Yoongi Oppa's coffee."

"Oh they ordered coffee?" Jong Kook asks, seeing the six other cups.

"Aniya~" she says covering up the coffee before putting it in the holder. "They've been busy so I decided to make coffee for them to encourage them."

He nods as she puts up the coffee order on the higher counter. He then watches her busy herself with making coffee. "So you and Han Bin-ssi," he says and she almost stops. "Everyone is talking about the both of you."

She presses the coffee machine which emitted a loud sound and smoke. "So?" she replies, not wanting to talk about the topic.

"Dae Jun told me about it already. Stop pretending in front of me," Jong Kook says and she turns around to look at the older. "You're just leading Han Bin-ssi on."

"Oppa, I know what I'm doing. I know how to make the situation a beautiful memory to him instead of pain," she replies. "We met at the wrong time. If I met him before Dae Jun, I may have ended up with him. But I wouldn't be sure if I met him before Dae Jun, I would have feelings for him. Han Bin Oppa is a very nice man. He's mature and knows how to treat girls well."

"At least you knew that..." Jong Kook says trailing off as Su Bin pours the coffee into the takeaway cup. "What are you trying to teach him Su Bin..."

"Oppa, you'll know soon," she says, smiling and finishes the latte art. "Here's Ji Hyo noona's coffee."

Jong Kook takes it and pay before thanking her. He was about to leave the place when he stops. "Take care of yourself Su Bin," he says before leaving.

"I will Oppa..." she whispers, smiling as someone enters to take BTS' coffee.

"It's tonight. Are you sure?"

The girl looks at the river before sighing. "Do I have any other choice? If I disappear, they'll stop," she replies.

"What about Min Jun and Ji Woo?"

"They'll stop. When Joonhyeon was talking to me, I realized that he is after me. He has no interest in any of them anymore... That's good because the twins are better off without toxic people like him."

"Han Bin and you seem close."

"Jealous?"

"Obviously."

"But its wrong timing. If I met him at a different time frame where you didn't exist, I may have ended up with him..."

"Then what are you doing?"

"I'm teaching him something. I can ensure you that he wouldn't feel hurt. If he does, it'll last one day if his feelings is what I think it is..."

"I never understand how you could predict something and it usually is true."

"You never understood me at all."

"I know... If I did, I wouldn't be trying to stop you."

"It's better for everyone... Everyone will be safe. One person is better than tons."

"If so, why did you let the others into your life and heart?"

She looks up at the sunny sky, taking in a deep breath. "It just happened... Unknowingly. They're all too likeable... Too friendly..." she says, trailing. "I couldn't stop myself. Protecting me even though knowing that it brought too many complications. Didn't treat me differently just because of my background. I'm very thankful to them because of that."

"Don't you feel sad?"

"Sadness is inevitable in life," she says looking at the other before smiling. "At least I had happy memories with them..."

They both kept silent. "I'll return... Maybe when everything has died down or when he is brought down..." she says. "I have to go now."

"Must you?"

"I need to say goodbye," she says.

"To who?"

"UNIQ Oppas and... Han Bin Oppa," she says and the guy sighs.

"It's still about him huh."

"Dae Jun," she says. "Don't be like this..."

"If we were still together and you met him, would you have broken up with me to be with him?!" he asks loudly.

"I don't want to fight with you Dae Jun. I don't want our last memory to be bitter," Su Bin says.

"Why did I decide to help you? If I refused, you'll still be mine," he says, looking away.

"This just shows that we're destined to just be friends Dae Junnie," she says, smiling slightly. "One day, you'll realize that the feeling you had for me will be doubled, tripled the amount. That's when you truly realize that you never liked me. I felt that before Dae Jun. I felt it with Han Bin Oppa. I'm sorry."

"You just like the idea of being protected..." Dae Jun whispers, looking at her.

"Don't every girl like the idea of that?" she replies before smiling. "So Hyun is a good girl. You could end up marry her. Give her a chance. Mrs Song seems to like her."

"Who broke up with who?" he asks before looking at her. "You broke up with me."

"We didn't make anything official," she replies. "So I wouldn't call it breaking up."

"Wouldn't that count as cheating if you have a thing for him?" Dae Jun asks harshly before looking away.

"Wouldn't you going out with So Hyun-ssi be also counted as cheating?" she retorts and he keeps quiet knowing that what she said was true even though she suggested it. "Not everything in life has a happy ending..."

"You made the ending like this," he says harshly and she shrugs before they stayed silent.

"Dae Jun..." she calls out. "I really have to go if I want to say goodbye to them."

She takes her leave, leaving Dae Jun staring at her back view. See you soon Dae Jun. Live well.
