Chapter 46
01:11, 20 March 2014I woke up because of my alarm and quickly shut it off and got out of bed. Cody rolled over and burried himself in the blankets. I got into the shower and quickly washed my body, once I was out of the shower I changed into some skinny jeans and a kitted sweater.
I applied some light makeup and tied my hair into a messy bun. I really can't be bothered to make an effort today, I'm just going to get through college, go to my meeting and then go to bed ready for a long flight to the other side of the world. So excited to be in Australia!
Anways once I was ready I kissed Cody's forehead and left him in peace. I grabbed a pop tart and called Dan while I ate. "Hello?" "Hey, how are you getting to college?" I asked. "Mom's taking me, why?" "Room for me?" "Oh yeah, sure. We're just about to leave so walk to the end of your drive." "Alright, bye." I hung up and left the house.
I walked to the end of my driveway as Dan's mom's car drove around the corner. I smiled as I got into the car. "Good morning, Lauren." "Morning, Erin." I greeted her as I did up my belt. "How come you had no ride?" Dan asked "Trey's at his girlfriend's." I said as I smiled at his younger sister.
"Doesn't Cam norm- oh." He stopped himself. "What about Cody?" "He's still asleep." "You're dating Cody Simpson." Elli, Dan's sister, smiled. I smiled too and nodded. "Yeah I am, do you like him?" "I love him, I have since he first started out on youtube."
"That's longer than she has." Dan laughed, I did too. "Yup, got that right." "What do you mean?" She asked me. "Well, Cody and I didn't used to get on." "How come you do now?" "I don't really know it just happened, on holiday we got really close." I shrugged.
"Really, really close." Dan said under his breath. "What's that supposed to mean?" Elli asked. My eyes met Dan's through the mirror on the car considering he's in the front seat and I'm in the back, I glared at him telling him to stop where he was going. Dan simply smirked at me.
"They have had se-" "Daniel!" His mom scolded before he could finish. "What?" Elli asked, she was only nine so she didn't understand what he was going to say. "He was going to say we've had sleepovers." I smiled at my save.
"Oh, okay. Can you tell him I love him?" She asked, I laughed and nodded. Once the car stopped Dan and I got out, we walked over to the other guys. "Hey." I smiled and looked around. "He's not here yet if you're looking for Cameron." "Okay, thanks." I thanked Paul.
After college was over I waited for Cody to come but he didn't. I decided to call him. "Hey." He answered. "Hey." "I don't want to sound mean but what do you want?" He asked. "Aren't you forgetting something? Or someone?" I sat down on a bench.
"Uh, I don't think so?" "Cody, you were supposed to pick me up today." I said annoyed. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, I was so focused on the music, want me to come and get you now?" "No, it's fine. Stay where you are, I don't want to ruin your time."
"Lauren, you know it's not like that." He sighed. "It feels that way." "I'm just about to leave, I'll come and get you." "Don't bother." I hung up the phone. He's so annoying when he forgets things, anyways I decided to call Trey instead.
"Hello?" "Hey!" "How may I help you, little sister?" "Well, big brother, my boyfriend forgot about me so can you come and get me?" "How mean of him." Trey gasped, I laughed. "Can you just come and get me?" "Give me ten minutes and I'll be there." "Thank you." I chimmed and then we ended the call.
After twenty minutes, Trey finally pulled up. I ran over to the car and got in. "Sorry, there was traffic and I had to drop Cara off too." "That's fine." "How come Cody forgot you?" "Studio." I mumbled and looked out the window. "He probably didn't mean to." Trey comforted.
"It's just annoying, he keeps coming home late and cancelling plans and things." "He's working on a new album, it's not his fault." "I guess." "Anyways you have a week's holiday now, no work, no school and no me." I laughed at the 'no me'.
My phone started ringing, I read the caller ID and then pressed ignore. "You can't ignore him just because he forgot to come and get you." "My boyfriend forgot about me." I stated as I declined another call. Trey didn't answer, I knew I had won that.
As soon as I got in I went to my room to get ready for my meeting. I applied some winged eyeliner and more mascara as well as some bright red lipstick. I let my hair down and straightened it before curling the ends. I changed into outfit number one and then checked myself out in the mirror.
I went downstairs, I heard poeple in the living room so I walked in there. "What are you guys doing?" I asked as I saw Cody and Trey sat together playing video games. Cody held up his controller. "Why are you dressed up and have so much makeup on?" Cody asked.
"Do you listen to a thing I tell you? I showed you this outfit yesterday along with two others but you probably only remember the last one because it was tight and short." I said and walked out of the house, Cody came after me.
"I'm sorry, I do remember. A meeting, right?" "Look at that, you can remember when you want to." "Don't make me out to be a bad guy." "I'm not." "You're overreacting, I was busy at work and forgot to check the time. I didn't perpously forget to pick you up."
"I don't care. I'm over it." "How are you getting to the meeting?" "Your mom." "Let me drive you." "You've done enough." I turned to walk away, Cody stopped me. "Stop punishing me!" "Stop giving me reasons to then." "I'm not your child, you can't punish me." He faught.
"I don't want to talk to you right now." I tried to walk away but he stopped me once again. "I'm sorry! Okay?" "No because you don't mean it and I'll only accept it when you do." Angie pulled up on the drive and beeped the horn.
"Laur-" "I have somewhere to go, Cody." "Just tell me what I have to do?" "No, Cody, you have to work this one out yourself." I pushed him back and walked over to Angie's car. I got into the passengers seat and she drove off the drive.
"What's happened?" "Huh?" I questioned. "I'm not stupid, I can tell you were arguing." "He was too busy to pick me up and forgot to do it and then he forgot all about this and asked me why I was dressed up so obviously I was mad with him and then he told me I'm not his mother and can't punish him." I blurted out.
Angie let out a small laugh, I gave her a weird look. "He's a teenage boy, Lon, he's not perfect. But you can forget about that becuase we're off to Australia tomorrow!" "I'm so excited, I'm all packed and I just can't wait to see everyone!" I smiled.
"Let's just hope we can all return home together this time." "That would be great." "So how come you haven't told anyone you want to be a model?" "I'm not sure what everyone will think about it, I know Trey will have an opinion and I'm just not too sure."
"Do your mom and dad know you're trying?" "No, they've been in Europe for a month as you know so I don't really think it's necessary that I tell them until I make deffinate decisions." "That's a good idea, sweetie." "Thank you." I smiled.
"Alright, I'm just going to get groceries. I'll be outside when you come out." Angie pulled up outside a tall building. "Okay, thank you." "Good luck!" "Thanks!" Angie kissed my cheek before I got out and walked into the building.
I walked to the front desk and smiled at the woman behind. "Hello, may I help you?" "Yes, my name is Lauren Miller. I have a meeting with a Mr. Walliams at six." "Oh yes, you'll find his office on the third floor." She smiled at me, I nodded and walked to the elevators.
Once the meeting was over I left the building and waited outside for Angie. I heard a horn beep, I turned around. "For god sake." I sighed, I walked over to Cody's car and got in. "Where's your mom?" "She had to go home, Tommy was sick." "Oh."
"What's this?" Cody took the contract I was given off me. "Nothing! Give it back!" I tried to get it back but he held it away from my reach as he read it. "Model, huh?" "Cody, give it back." I held out my hand. "Whatcha modelling?" "Nothing yet just give me the contract!" He put it in the pocket on his door and started driving.
"You're so annoying." I rolled my eyes. "And you're not having that back." "What?!" "I think you heard me." "It's mine, not yours!" "You're mine." "I don't belong to anyone." "You're my girlfriend." He corrected, I was too mad to answer him.
"I win? Aye?" Cody sqeezed my leg, I slapped his hand away and looked out the window. "Silent treatment, aye?" I still ignored him. Cody pulled up on the drive. "Want your contract?" He waved it in front of me. I reached for it but he moved it away before I could grab it.
I turned and glared at him. "You'll have to talk to me first." "Fine, you can sleep at your own house tonight and no I'm not coming." I took the contract off him and went into the house. I went straight to my bedroom and got ready for bed. It was half eight when I was ready for bed so I went to get food.
I was making myself a sandwich when Cody and Trey walked into the kitchen together. "Why are you here?" I asked Cody. "You know we were friends before you guys started dating." Trey pointed out. "Yeah, I'm just hanging out with my friend, talking about girls.. And things they do.. Behind your back.." Cody hinted.
"If you dare!" I warned him. "Whatcha you gonna do?" He teased as he walked over to me, he stopped when we were inches apart. "There's nothing you can take away from me." "There's plenty." "Name three things." Cody tested.
"Uh.. Move backwards, get out my way and stay out my bedroom tonight." I took a bite out of my sandwich and walked upstairs with it. I put some music on and walked onto the balcony. I watched the ocean as the waves moved in and out.
I heard my favorite song come on and ran into my room. I turned the volume up and started to dance, first just rocking my hips but then I moved my arms too. I watched myself in my mirror as I danced to the song.
Once it ended I heard clapping, Cody walked into the room. "You girl, you can dance." "I thought I told you to not come into my room." "Can I ju-" "Nope." "I just wa-" "No." "Laur-" "Nah." Cody laughed at me. "Just please let me talk to you." "Get out of my room."
"How the hell do you expect us to go on holiday tomorrow when you won't even give me five minutes to talk to you?!" Cody raised his voice, I just stared at him. Well he got mad fast. "I am allowed to have an opinion on what you're about to do and it's only fair for me to voice it!"
"What is wrong with it?! Alli does modelling! What's different?!" "I don't want loads of guys looking at pictures of my girlfriend all the time, whether you're modelling in a bathing suit or fully clothed. I don't care! You're mine and I don't want others looking at my girlfriend's body!"
"And it's fine for people to be looking at your little sister and her body?" I folded my arms. "Who says I agree with it? I've never said I agree with it, I don't but it's not up to me what she does." "It's not up to you what I do either!" "I'll see you in a few hours, Lauren."
Cody turned around and walked out the door, I slammed the bedroom door behind him. I was so mad, why does he think he can control me? Who the hell does he think he is?! Anyways, I turned off my music and got into bed. I need an early night as I have to be ready for five am tomorrow.
