Chapter 7

"Today, I think we should go around the island and look in all the shops and things." I suggested as I stuffed a spoonful of cereal in my mouth. "That's a good idea." Angie agreed. "Go get changed kids, we'll be leaving in an hour." She added.

I finished my cereal and then went to the bedroom, I got out a short skirt and a belly top. I pulled the skirt up to cover my belly button and tied up my shirt. I put my usual makeup on and straightened my hair, I plaited a small piece and then pulled my hair into a messy ponytail.

I grabbed some sandals and walked out of the room again, I sat on a sunbed as I put my shoes on and then layed down and relaxed in the sun. "Lauren, we're leaving." Lilly came over to me. "Let's go princess!" I grabbed her hand and followed everyone.

"I want to get a pretty bracelet from the shops today!" "Want me to get you one, Lil?" I asked. "Yeah!" She shouted in excitment, I laughed at her.

We looked in a few shops until Lilly pulled me into a different shop. "I want this one." She told me, I picked it up. "How much is this?" I asked the lady behind the counter. "5." She told me. "Alright, can I have this please?" I put it on the counter and got out my money, Lilly smiled at me cutley.

"Would you like a bag?" She asked, I looked at Lilly. "Lil? A bag?" "No." She said shyly as she hugged my leg and hid her face. I laughed at her and took the bracelet. "Lilly, say thank you to the lady?" I told her as I picked her up.

"Thanks." She said with her face in my neck. "That's okay, sweetie." "Bye." I smiled and left with the bracelet. "Want me to put it on you?" "Yes, please." She put out her hand for me. I placed her on the floor and tied it around her wrist.

"Come on, let's go find everyone." I held out my hand for her. "No, carry me!" She stood with her hands up in the air. "No come on, you're not a baby anymore." "I'm only 6." She moaned. "Of course she's still a baby!" Cody cooed as he came up behind her and picked her up.

"Cody!" "What?" He asked as he showed us the way back to the others. "She can't get what she wants all the time." "Just this time because she's so cute." He kissed her cheek and she giggled cutley.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Don't be grumpy." Cody told me as he interlocked our fingers. I rested my head on his shoulder as we walked.

"Where did you guys dissapear to?" My dad asked as we sat down. "I baught Lilly a bracelet." "Look daddy!" She got off of Cody's lap and ran to my dad, my dad put her on his lap and looked at it. "it's a pretty one." "Just like her." I smiled at her.

"Look, Dad. Can we rent a boat and go around the island." Alli pointed. "We should do that!" I shouted. "We'll do it tomorrow and make a day of it." "Sounds like a plan." My mom agreed with him. "It's gonna be so fun." I said as I put my arm over Tom's shoulders and walked with him.

"Not if you and Cody kiss the whole time." Tom said with a grossed out face. "For your information, I have not kissed your brother today." I informed. "Hey, Tom?" Cody said as he pulled me into him.

"You watching?" He asked and then leaned down and kissed me. He over exaggerated it by making noises and kissing me loads. I giggled as he did it. "Cody, stop!" I pushed him away. "That's disgusting!" Tom said as pulled me away from Cody. "You won't be saying that in a few years." Cody laughed.

"Which one do you prefer?" I asked Alli as I held up two of my bikinis. "I like them both, why?" "I don't know which one to wear." "You normally chose just fine." "Yeah but now I don't know, I like these the same." "Want to impress Cody?" Alli winked at me.

"No! Just chose, blue or purple." "Purple, blue will be better for tomorrow because we'll be jumping off the boat and things." "True." I smiled and walked into the bathroom, I quickly changed and then walked outside.

"Angie! Look at my tan!" I ran over to her and showed her. "I'm so jealous!" She said as she admired it. "Let me see?" Cody came over. "How the hell did you get that?" He asked. I shrugged and walked to a sunbed.

I layed down on my stomach. "Cody? Can you untie the bow on my back?" "Why?" "No tan lines." "Okay sure, want me to put on some suncream for you?" "Mmm." I hummed. I jumped as he squirted the cold liquid on my back.

He sat on the bed and untied the bow so he could rub the suncream into my back and then he did my legs. "Thank you." I said when he stopped, I felt him kiss my shoulder and then he got up.

"Lauren, wake up. It's dinner." I felt someone shake me, I proped myself up on my shoulders. Cody pushed me back down. "What was that for?" "You need this tied up before you get up." He said as he tied a bow on my bikini.

"Good boy." Trey said as he watched him. "Come on, man." Cody looked at him. I got up and walked to the table, I sat down next to Tom. "No, sit with me!" Lilly said. I got up and sat next to her, Cody came and sat inbetween me and Tom.

"What is dinner?" I asked. "I made a mild Curry." Brad said as my mom handed me a plate. "It looks and smells amazing." I praised.

"What you watching?" Alli asked as she sat next to me on the couch. "Tom and Jerry." "Cool." "Yeah, not really. I just wanted Lil to fall asleep." I looked to my side. Lilly was passed out with her head resting on my lap.

"She's so sweet." "I know, I can't believe she turns 7 soon." "You're first! It's your birthday soon." "I know, 16! I can't wait!" I smiled. "What do you want to do?" "I don't really know to be honest. I don't want a big celebration, I don't like all the attention."

"You're getting attention from me." Cody said from behind me as he kissed my cheek. "I'm not having a party." "That's fine." "Codes, can you take Lilly to mom for me?" "Is she asleep?" "Yup." Cody picked her up and carried her outside.

"Shower time." I said as I got up and walked to the bathroom. I went through the normal routine and then walked outside. "Where is everyone?" I asked my dad as I sat next to him at the edge of the platform.

"In their villas." "Why aren't you?" "I'm just thinking." "About what?" "You." "What about me?" I was a bit worried at his reply. "You and Cody." "What about us?" "I'm just being a dad, nothing to worry about." He smiled at me, I smiled back.

"He's a good guy you know?" I said. "Oh yeah, I know he is. That doesn't stop me worrying about you." "What is there to worry about if you know he's not a bad guy." "How am I supposed to know what goes on behind closed doors?"

"You need to trust us. If you don't trust Cody, then at least trust me." "I do, I trust you both but niether of you are 13 anymore." "What's that supposed to mean?" "You're young adults, Lauren. You're not going to keep it innocent forever."

"Who says we're going to be together forever?" I asked. "You're my baby girl, I freaked out when I saw you guys kissing on the sunbed together." "You didn't seem freaked out?" "You'll understand it when Lilly starts dating."

"No, I'm going to be on her side." "Why's that?" "Because Tom will be older so he'll be protective over her and so will Cody and Trey and you too! It will be me, Alli and Lilly against you guys." I laughed. My dad laughed at the thought of it.

"I'm off to bed now, I'll see you tomorrow." My dad kissed my head and then walked away. I kicked my feet in the water. "Come to bed baby, it's late." Cody said from behind me. I got up and walked past him.

I walked into his room and got under the blankets without saying anything to him. "Wow, you must be tired." Cody laughed from the doorway. "Come give me a cuddle." I reached for him, he walked over and got into the bed.

I rested my leg over his lap and my hand on his chest, I had my head on his shoulder. One of Cody's hands held my leg and the over was on my waist. "Tomorrow is going to be so good." I broke the silence.

"We have to jump from the boat and do fun things." I said. "Yeah." "And you can't be a baby this time because Lilly will do it so you kind of have to." I laughed. "I'll be less scared than you." "Shut up! I'm not scared of anything."

"Oh right." Cody said as he leaned over and turned off the lamp. "No! It's too dark!" I held onto him tightly. "Are you scared?" He teased. "Can you put the tv on? It makes me fall asleep." Cody put the tv on but turned it down so it was quiet.

"You're such a baby." Cody laughed. "No, I just don't like the dark. I'm not afraid of getting hurt." I pointed out. "So you'll do anything?" "As long as it doesn't include the dark or small spaces, I'm down." "We'll see about that."

"Oh and sharks." I added, Cody laughed at me. "Why sharks?" "Have you ever watched Jaws?!" "They're not actually like that." "Didn't know you were a shark whisperer." "Don't get cheeky with me, Mrs." Cody warned, I giggled.

Cody started to play with my hair, it was so calming to watch his hands as he moved my hair around his fingers. I completley relaxed into him as my eye lids became heavier and heavier.
