32 - If things go South

"You don't open it like that" Togame said as he watched Haru's struggled attempt of opening the Ramune drink.

"You..push it..right..?" I said as I looked at the bottle then back at Togame, he smiled and hummed out as he takes Haru's bottle and opens it for him.

Haru thanked Togame as the bottle was handed back over to him, a faint blush on his cheeks.

I also opened mine, hearing a loud pop before bringing it up to my lips, watching the ball move around inside the bottle as I took a sip.

'Sweetly refreshing' I thought as the liquid passed down my throat.

"So..what brings you two here?" Togame asked as he looked over at us, he still looks laid back but something about him changed. It's like he's genuinely happy now with how things are in Shishitoren.

"There's gonna be a big fight soon. We're gonna handle it but if things get rough..I'm hoping you guys could lend us a hand." Haru said as he looked at the scenery in front. 'I didn't think he'll actually ask this'

"Actually, it's not hope..I'm asking you to really help us."

Togame looked down before he started to laugh quietly, "What's so funny?" I asked as I raised my eyebrow at him. 'Is he laughing at Haru's sincerity?'

"No no..I'm just happy that you guys are asking us for help~ Ever since that day, everyone's gotten..lively again..everyone's happy. We're really grateful" 'Wow he's such a softie now huh-'

We just stared at him, nodding our heads slowly. "That means you'll help us out right?" Haru asked.

"Yeah of course" He replied, smiling. "Give me your phone, I'll add my contacts in" Togame added as he extends his hand out over to Haru.

"O-oh yeah here" Haru took out his phone and handed it to Togame. After a few seconds, he hands it back.

"I'll just give you guys a heads up. Either me or Hima" 

"Hmm..that works. How about you two stay for a while? Kinda hungry. I'll show you guys around" Togame said as he looked over at us, he's grinning-

I looked over at Haru who was also looking at me like I should be the one who should answer for us- 'What am I supposed to say-'

"Uhm uh- Sure? We can stay for a while" I said as I scratched the side of my neck.

"Great! I'll go and tell Choji!" 

'Well I guess we have to stay for a while' I thought, following after Togame who lead us back down then he went over to talk to Tomiyama. I turned over to Haru to see him smiling a bit.

"You look happy"

"H-huh- I'm not! I'm just glad he agreed to help us okay!" 'Whatever you say Haru~ I know you're also glad that they worked it out with their team'

Togame really did show us around, he even showed us where to buy street foods. There were all kinds of street foods and of course we tried to taste the stuff we found interesting. It was all delicious.

Tomiyama also came with us, he's jumping and skipping around. He was mostly the one who showed us around, he's so eager about it-

The funny part was when he didn't know what to call us so he decided on 'Saku-chan and Kura-chan...Apparantely I'm Kura-chan..then Haru..Saku-chan'

"Try this one Kura-chan, Saku-chan!" Tomiyama handed us some Dango sticks with a big smile on his face. 'How can we say no if he's smiling at us like that-'

I took a bite out of it before smiling over at him, "Thank you, it's good" 

"It does right right~?" He said before running off to some stalls. 'He's so energetic'

"Sorry..he's such a handful isn't he?" Togame suddenly said which made me look at him.

"Hmm..at least he's a ball of sunshine" I said as I let out a chuckle.

"He is, he lights us up" His smile looks more gentle now..

"By the way.." I started as I looked at him.

"Hmm?" He hums out as his eyes turned over to me. "Thanks for agreeing to help us out" I said as I stared at the dango stick that I was holding.

"You don't have to thank us kitty"

"Why are you still calling us that?" I said as I let out a sigh.

"It's cute, it matches you" 

"A cat?"

"Yeah" He answered plainly, his head nodding, "How about you give a nickname too? How does that sound?" He added, grinning over at me.

"How about asshole?" I suggested, a small smirk on my lips.

"Wow after what we've been through? My heart's broken" 'He's being dramatic-'

"How about dramatic ass?"

"Give me a nicer one, kitty is such a good one!"

"Hmm...rat tail" 

He looked at me like he couldn't believe what he just heard then shook his head. "Ah whatever I give up" He said as he slumps his shoulders and sighs out.

I just laughed at him but soon stopped when Haru holds my hand, "Hima, we have to go"

"Oh okay" I said as my head nodded over at him then it turns over to Togame, "We'll get going now, thank you for today. Tell Tomiyama he has our thanks as well!" I waved my hand over at him as he smiled and waved his hand as well as we walked away. 

"Take care you two"

We decided to head over to the red light district where Roppo-Ichiza is based in. We thought it'll be good to also ask them for help so here we are, in front of Kanji-san.

"So.....Endo's really gonna go head over to you guys huh..?" Kanji said as we nodded our heads at him.

"We'll help you out" 

"Really?" I asked as I stared at him in shock, thought they'll be too busy-

"You guys helped us out before, now it's our turn" He said as he placed his arm on both our shoulders. "You two are such great kids..no wonder Tsubaki adores the first years"

"W-we're not-" We protested but he just ruffled our hairs.

"You two have a bright path ahead of you, it may be a bit challenging but I'm sure a lot of friends will help you through it" He said as he smiled over at us, 'He's also such a warm person'

After that, Kanji-san gave us his contact information and said he'll talk to his members about it.

"Thank you so much" We bowed our heads at him, being sincere with our gratitude. 

"You kids head home now, it's getting late" He said as he looked at his watch then at us.

We bid him goodbye as we thanked him again before making our way home.

"Haru" I called out as we finally made it back home, today was exhausting..

"Yeah?"

"Has that been bothering you that's why you asked them for help?" I said as I looked at him, his head hung low as he stared at his feet.

"I..don't want anything bad happening to this town"  'You're such a caring person my dear brother..'

I walked closer to him and cupped his cheeks gently, making him look at me. "I'm so proud of you. I'm sure everyone is glad to have you here in this town"

"I wouldn't have done it if it weren't for you..and the others.." He answered in a low tone. 'I'm glad he also has other people to look out for now'

I smiled and let go of his face then I placed my hand on the top of his head, patting it. He just looked at me before he reached out to hold the hand that I was using to pat his head with, "If only I could pull you out of the fight, I would"

"What are you talking about? I'll never let that slide" I said as I narrowed my eyes at him.

He chuckled and was now the one who was patting my head, "I know, that's why I gotta protect you extra hard my dear little sister"

"Hey our age gap isn't that far okay"

"Still, every second matters duh" 'Well I guess he's right'
