25 - Tattoo Boy

A/N: Ah yes. I'll be posting two updates, this and 26

"That little manbun boy shall be my prey" Tsubaki-chan said as they ordered us to take care of Shizuka. Haruka looks like he wants to fight but he's holding back and stays put in his place, guarding Shizuka.

"Seiryu, Uryu. Open up a path for me" 'Wah I'm gonna see Tsubaki and the twins fight! So cool!'

I watched in anticipation as the they lunged forward then one stops at front then the other jumps up with the help of his twin. My jaw dropped as I watched them knock off dudes in perfect sync! 

"Haru take notes" I muttered out as I watched them in awe but still alert of my surroundings. 

"What? We work perfectly too excuse me" 'Then why do you sound so jealous of them huh'

I just rolled my eyes and let out a soft laugh before turning my full attention up front.

I also watched as Tsubaki went head on with that manbun dude, Tsubaki's so strong!

No one's fighting around us anymore, it seems like the man bun guy is their leader and we're all just watching their fight.

"Everything you said is so naive..like those in video games. In reality, none of those things happen. There are no miracles. You said something about the pain of losing something but that's only something someone would say if they had something to lose..But for me..I've never had anything in the first place. No matter what you say, it's bullshit to me" The dude with the bun said as he lunged forward and punched Tsubaki-chan in the face, I flinched at the sight but that thing would shock me too if someone said that to me.

'Now I feel bad for the guy'

"Bullshit? But you look like you're suffering. You're carrying a lot of heavy things huh? Tell me more. I want to understand you." Tsubaki said as they fixed their stance, facing the guy again.

"Don't talk to me like you understand. Those with things will never understand those with nothing!"   

'I can't imagine having nothing'

"Of course I don't understand! Everyone can't understand another person's situation! Everyone thinks their own situation as the worst one but what I understand is that you're suffering! I can't let you ruin other people's dreams so that's why I have to bring you down!" With one solid and hard kick to the face, the guy is on the ground.

The guys behind him tried to interfere but he only ordered them to stay back. He tried to get up but his feet are wobbling. Tsubaki-chan went closer to him and crouched down to the ground before talking.

"I'm sorry" Tsubaki said as they crouched in front of the boy.

"What are you sayi-"

"I acted like I knew what you were going through when I really didn't. But you know, I get to do what I want in this street because people reached out to me. I wasn't able to do that before..I suffered just like you. I am who I am today all because of those people" Tsubaki said in a gentle tone, the serious tone from earlier now gone.

"So what?! Do you want me to acknowledge that?!" 'Poor guy doesn't understand'

"I want to help you. What can I do for you?"

"W-what..?" He uttered out, his voice growing quitter.

He protested at first but Kanji butted in, "That reminds me..the boss has been bugging me about hiring some new people..We could use some help" Kanji said as he walked closer to them.

"Y-you people are insane...I don't understand...What kind of final boss battle is this.." He kept on saying reality isn't like games yet he talks as if he's in a videogame..

After that he agreed to accept their offer and talked to his group, convincing them as well. He also told us his name, Suzuri Shuhei.

 Shizuka apologized to everyone for running off and I just can't seem to focus on anything.

'Something's off..I can't shake off the feeling that we're being watched' I shook it off since it's normal to be watched if you were just fighting moments ago.

"Hey we're in trouble aren't we? We didn't do our job" One of the guys said from Suzuri's group. "Don't worry I'll talk to them and make this work" Suzuri quickly answered.

"Talk, huh? That's boring" We all looked to where the voice came from and it came from the roof. Someone was indeed watching us, I was right.

"No one's gonna listen to a loser. Especially someone who does their job half ass only. Haah..Bunch of Furin kids again" I squinted my eyes to check who it is but I can't really make it out, it's quite dark. 'How'd he know we're from Furin?'

"Why are you here?" Tsubaki asked, they look worried and surprised at the same time. 'Tsubaki knows this person?'

"Oh shut up, I can go wherever I want. That has never changed does it? The fun stuff in Furin are just things we do to pass time" I can finally see him, the moon light illuminated his body. 'If he's bad news..I want to mentally curse myself-'

He jumped down from the second floor and cursed about it hurting- I watched his every move. He's wearing a black tank top, a flannel over his shoulders and some pants. Lots of tattoos on his body from what I can see. "What the hell I didn't know jumping from the second floor would hurt like this! All those scenes on TV made it look so cool." 'Heavens forgive me for thinking he's charismatic as hell'

"Sakura, you boys don't touch him. Stay there, I'm warning you." We heard Tsubaki say which made me turn over to them. They look angry, even Kanji looks angry.

"Hey hey hey..It's been forever since we last saw each other..if you guys are so pumped to go, that'll also excite me~" Tattoo guy said with a smirk.

Haruka stood infront of me while Suo stood beside him, Nirei's behind me. We all stood in alert to protect each other.

"Haha won't you look at these kids acting like big heroes. Aren't you kids looking cool huh?" He said while clapping his hands and letting out a laugh. 'His aura seems dangerous.'

"I'm the one who has business with you. Don't add them into this. Let's talk in private" Suzuri suddenly butted in. 'Oh he's the employer?'

"So you're the one behind this?" Tsubaki said while looking more angry now, their eyebrows furrowed as they spoke. 

"Hey. Who do you think you are showing yourself here so suddenly and acting like a boss?" I grabbed Haruka's hand as he spoke, fearing the thought of him interfering in things he shouldn't meddle with.

I saw as how the man grinned over at Haru then looked over at Tsubaki, "You should really introduce your upperclassmen to your first years Tsubaki, look how confused the poor kids are"

Tsubaki gritted their teeth before answering, "He's from our generation. A former Furin student, Yamato Endo" 

Suo and Nirei reacted as if they knew him by name, just who is he?

"Why are you guys reacting like that?" I asked as I looked over at Suo then Nirei, Haru just looked at the curiously, waiting for an answer.

"There's no one in Furin who doesn't know him" Nirei started to explain, I just tilted my head then glanced over at this Endo dude just to see him smirking at us. "He's like a legend"  'A legend?'

"Heh..heh you're making me blush~ I haven't been gone for that long~" 'Is he perhaps sick in the head or something'

"What 'Legend'?" Haruka asked, Tsubaki glanced over at him which made me grip on his hand tighter. "Sakura stop-" Tsubaki tried to shush him but he kept going-

"You made people capture an innocent girl, what kind of trash are you? You are just an irresponsible assho-" I placed my hand across his mouth and pulled him over to me before shushing him, "Haru stop we'll get in trouble"

Endo chuckled before tilting his head to the side, "Such cute twins. You two are the twins from the raid in Keel right? Going crazy over there, thinking about other people before yourselves. Going crazy for someone getting hit. You two don't belong in Furin. You should just leave and quit."

My jaw clenched tightly as my eyes narrowed down at him. I sprinted over to him and made my leg fly over his head but he dodged it with a smile on his face.  "What did you just say asshole?"

"Look at you getting your emotions ahead of yourse-" Before he could finish, Tsubaki also lunged forward to attack him with a kick but he dodged it as well. "Ho..look at that"

"Take that back" Tsubaki said as they glared at Endo but he just pursed his lips. "I just said-"

Kanji stepped up as well and tried to punch him but Endo was quick on his feet. "There's no better person to go to Furin than them."

"For someone who doesn't go there, you're quite the talker" Endo said while raising his hand, Suo then showed up, jumping in the air as his foot directed to Endo's form but he dodged it as well. "It should be fine if it came from a Furin student right?"

"Don't leave me outta this!" We heard Haruka say as he propped himself up on Suo's shoulder then used his leg to kick Endo while he blocked it with his arms, stepping back as he then spoke.

"Jeez let me finish. I wasn't bad mouthing them, I was praising 'em! I just think they have more potential but Furin's stopping them from reaching that. People around you are just dragging you down. People like you should be better off alone."

"Shut up!! You don't know anything about us. You're in no position to tell us where we belong and where we don't." I could feel my fists clench tighter with each second I spoke, almost enough to make it bleed.

"Only we get to decide where we belong" Haru said as his fists also clenched tightly.

"Stop this. I'm the one who has business with you. Leave them out of this" Suzuri said as he interrupted our conversation, walking closer to us.

"I can't just let this go- He's pissing me off" I said as I narrowed my eyes at Endo but he just smiled.

Suzuri walked even closer then got on his knees, bowing all the way down in front of this Endo dude. "Please leave. I'm begging you"

Endo started to laugh and crouched down in front of Suzuri, patting his head. "I've never seen someone bow so low like this haha. Fine fine we're even. I'll just do something about that old mine who hired me and he'll back away. After that laugh, I don't feel like fighting anymore"

"What are you scheming?" Kanji asked him while looking at him still.

"Hmmm...I'm just in a good mood. I'll come and play in Furin some other time hehe see ya~" He turned and waved his hand, indicating that he was leaving. 

"You can't leave just like that" I muttered out as I stepped forward but he just turned and glared at me. 

"I'm not going to repeat myself kid"

Everyone's already eating but I'm just here staring into space. I'm pissed off like hell I don't even have the energy and motivation to eat.

"Haru I'm going home" I said as I stood up, the others stopped their conversation and looked over at me.

"You haven't eaten though" Suo said as he looked over at me with concern and Haruka stood up with me. 

"I'm going too if you're already going" 

"You should stay and have some fun" I said before turning and walked out of the restaurant. I heard some of them call for me but I didn't wanna bother and look back.

A few seconds have passed by as I walked down the street, I heard frantic footsteps behind me so I turned to see who it was. It's Haru.

"It's already late, I can't have you walk alone like this" He said as he walked over to me until he was beside me. I didn't say anything and just continued to walk.

"I'm sorry" 'Why is he apologizing?'

"Why?" I asked as I glanced over at him, he's looking at the ground as we walked.

"I don't know..I just felt like apologizing. You seem out of it"

"I'm fine don't worry" I replied as I just kept my eyes focused at my front.

"Uhm Tsubaki said we should attend a meeting tomorrow before class starts" He started to communicate again as silence took over us for a few seconds.

"Hm what for?"

"I'm not sure"
