26 - Special Meeting

A/N: Ah I don't really want to type out Bofurin's history heree so I'm hoping you guys already know about it! T^T

Why are you guys skipping chapter 25...read that first kids there's 2 chaps today

"Haah..you four again" Hiragi sighed out as he saw our figures walking over to them. There are quite a lot of them up in the rooftop.

"Well someone's grumpy early in the morning" I uttered quietly, chuckling to myself.

"Hey don't say that, they didn't do anything" Tsubaki defended us as we took a seat in the vacant seats. 

I glanced over at all their faces, I still don't don't all their names but I just know they're near to the top so that means they're strong.

"Where's Umemiya-san?" I asked as I noticed he wasn't around.

"Oh he's probably just taking his time or just helping someone out down the street" Hiragi answered, sighing again for the second time. 'Why so stressed Hiragi-san'

We all turned our heads once the door opened and Umemiya popped out. His bright smile almost blinding us. "Oh! Everyone's here already hehe"

He walked closer, he's carrying some boxes. Sugishita followed behind him carrying some plastic bags. 'What are those'

Umemiya placed the boxes down on the table before opening it. "It's Kotoha's special sandwiches! I figured it's too early so I brought some food so we all can eat while we talk! Hand them the cups Sugishita!" 

Sugishita obliged easily but stopped when he saw us, he looks shocked but still placed some for us but skipped Haruka purposely. "Oi give me one too"

Sugishita didn't say anything but just crumpled the cup in his hand before setting it down.

"Hey Sugishita, don't be mean and give Sakura his cup" And just like that Sugishita followed Umemiya's words and fixed the cup, setting it back to the table. 'It looks drinkable now'

Everyone started to eat but I just stared down at the food, I don't have an appetite. Something's bothering me..

Someone tapped my hand gently from under the table which sent shivers down my spine. It felt electrifying somehow and I looked up to see Umemiya's  concerned expression. "Why aren't you eating?"

"Oh..I just don't feel like eating" I mumbled out and just looked elsewhere.

"What? You should eat. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day you know!"  'What is he blabbering about-'

"Umemiya..thanks for the food and all but can't we start the meeting already?" Hiragi butted in as he looked over at Umemiya who was still looking over at me then turned over to face Hiragi before answering. "Okay let's start the meeting"

"Are we in trouble?" I asked first, everyone stayed silent and just stared at me when Umemiya broke the silence. 

"No no you're not"

"Then why?" I asked as I looked over at him, my eyes meeting his ocean colored ones.

"You guys actually did a good job and Tsubaki already told me about everything. I just wanted to ask you guys something first."

"What is it?" It was Haru's turn of asking now, his eyebrows were furrowed as he looked over at Umemiya.

"How did it feel meeting Endo? I heard he took a liking in you two" He was smiling gently when he asked that but I somehow felt nervous.

"He was just an asshole" Haruka answered simply while sipping his drink.

"That, and I don't like him one bit" I said as I crossed my arms, looking over to the side. I heard the others let out a chuckle before coughing. 

Umemiya started to explain who Endo was in detail and told us about how Bofurin was formed and..the shadows of it.

I actually didn't know that it was Umemiya, this group that we are with right now, are the people who first formed Bofurin. It was amazing to know that they were able to change the whole lifestyle of Furin and its environment with just the five of them.

"Most likely they'll come back to this school and turn it back to how it was before Bofurin was made. I also think that he'll come after you two once he gets here. I don't know when but I'm sure he'll come. I want everyone to be prepared for everything" Umemiya explained as he stared down at his cup then looked over at us.

"Is it that bad?" I asked, tilting my head a bit.

"Yes. They won't stop even if someone gets in their way. I want everyone to keep this town safe" 

I just nodded my head and looked down at my hands, 'It sounds like war and I don't like it one bit'

"Why are we worried if you guys already won against them?" Nirei suddenly asked while Umemiya was taking a sip of his drink. He placed it down before he answered him.

"We never won against them"

"What? Why?" My eyebrows furrowed as I stared at him, I don't get it. He looked to the side as if he was remembering the things that happened and smiled that looked like he was remembering something awful.

"We never really got to see who was the winner or the loser. By the time we were seeing changes in Furin, Endo and his men left. They left before Bofurin was formed and now that you first years have piqued his interest, he'll come here. When the time comes, I want you two to handle Endo" I'm afraid I might end up killing someone if I did that-

"Hah sure! Just don't get mad that I stole your prey" Haruka answered, his tone getting louder. 'Well someone's looking forward to it'

"Nahh it's fine, he's not interested in me anyways" Umemiya laughed and waved his hand off while looking over at Haruka.

"There's someone far more dangerous than him that I'll face." 'Someone more dangerous?'

"Who?" The four of us asked in unison.

"Chika Takiishi. He's probably the strongest man in Furin" Umemiya's words made me shudder, how could anyone be stronger than him?

As school hours passed, I found myself at the rooftop again. It was break time and my feet dragged me here. I looked over at the horizon as I sat near the edge.

'My mind has been off lately ever since we met that Endo guy' I let out a deep sigh before staring at my hands, clenching my fists tightly as I closed my eyes.

'I have to get stronger'

'I have to get stronger'

'I have to get stronger'

'For the people I care about'

'For the friends I made here'

'For my brother.'

'I have to get stronger.'

These things repeated in my mind constantly, it's making my head ache.

"I have to get stronger" 

"But you're already strong."

I opened my eyes and stared at the person who just spoke, "Umemiya-san?" his bright blue eyes met up with mine as he was crouching down to my level.

"You're here again" He said as he tilted his head, his gaze softening. "Is something the matter?"

"I don't know" I admit as I stared elsewhere, someone staring at me makes me nervous. I can feel my heart thump out of my chest.

I felt him sit next to me and he patted my back gently before he spoke. "What is it? Maybe I can help"

"I don't know if you can do that" I said as I felt my cheeks burn up.

"What? Why not?" I glanced over at him just to see him pouting over at me. 'Why is he pouting like that? He looks like a kid' I thought as I continued to look at him

"I want to get stronger. I want to be able to protect everyone that is dear to me" My fists clenched tightly again, to the point that it was turning white. 

I felt my body jolt as I felt Umemiya's hand over mine, his fingers gently unclenching my hands. 

"You'll hurt yourse-wait your hands are really soft! How could someone get hurt if your hand is this soft?" He started blabbering and I just felt my cheeks burn up even more and I pulled my hands away.

"What the h-hell are you talking about- Do you want me to punch your fac-"

SNAP

I felt something snap.

It came from inside my shirt-

My eyes went wide as I blinked my eyes repeatedly, trying to process what just happened.

"What was that?"
