21 - Night Street

A/N: I just ran through Ito-san's backstory real ass quick so I hope you've read the manga!!

We're back at Ito-san's house and he's showing us photos of his wife when Haruka  and I suddenly spat out our food once Ito-san showed us their one and only photo together- Haru spat out his tea then I spat out my cake-

"Gosh you two~ You shouldn't be wasting your food like that" We heard Tsubakino say but we just looked elsewhere, our faces red. I immediately wiped the mess we made and muttered out sorry's repeatedly.

"Wait..did that trigger your romance sensors?" Tsubaki asked then they started to tease us about it. Haru's face got even more red and he denied everything while I just looked elsewhere, ignoring what they were saying so I won't get embarrassed further.

'Tsubaki-chan's really acting like nothing happened huh..'

They asked us about how we saw the picture and Haruka was the only one who answered. "The old lady looks a lot like Tsubakino..especially when Tsubakino's talking to Umemiya.." I glanced over at Haru to see his beet red face then at Tsubaki-chan and the other's who looked speechless.  

"Huh- what? Oh gosh- haah..that's so embarrassing..! So uhm..Umemiya is a guy we know..I always talk about him remember? I've got a crush on him-" Tsubaki-chan started to explain while fanning out their face then looked over at Ito-san but paused when they saw that he was crying.

I looked over at Haru then at Ito-san then back at Haru, "Hey what did you do-" I asked as I started to panic because I didn't know what to do when someone is crying.

"I didn't do anything!" He's also panicking-

Ito-san started to ask if it really looked like that to Haru because he was doubting if his wife ever loved him or enjoyed her time with him all through-out their marriage. 'Oh no..I can see how sad he is now...'

"I always wondered how she felt..It never really bothered me when we were together..but now that I'm alone..those thoughts began to grow bigger and bigger.." Ito-san said as he looked down at their picture, he was frowning while he was talking.

"But if you really think that she looked happy...then..I feel like a weight's been lifted" He smiled as he ended his sentence, staring at their picture with a warm smile on his face. 'I want to hug him-'

"Uhm excuse me..can I ask something..?"  Suo suddenly chimed in and started to ask about what was the purpose of taking that specific photo. 

Suo explained that the plant in that photo was a Dogwood tree. Dogwood Tree symbolizes, (according to Suo-) "Brilliant Love", "Persistence", and "Do you think I'm indifferent to you" in flower language. Ito-san's wife was probably using that Dogwood tree as a way to argue with Ito-san's doubts of her not loving him through-out their marriage. 'Flower expert huh?'

"I believe she truly did love you and she was happy to be with you. I'm sure she appreciated that you adored fashion just as much as she did! Not everyone can find a man like that" I said with a smile, wanting to reassure Ito-san in any way I can.

"No one would make such a happy face if they didn't love that person" Haru said while looking down, his cheeks was growing red again.

Ito-san was quiet before he started to respond, "Thank you..thank you all of you..I'm really thankful..To think that, that was her way of arguing..She probably thought I'd never realize it..She really is elegant...I  could never compete against her.." Ito-san said, now smiling as he looked at us. The sadness in his eyes now filled with happiness as he realized everything.

'I'm glad he realized that she loved him very much..'

Haruka and I dressed up as we were invited to eat with Tsubaki-chan after the events that happened at Ito-san's house. They still haven't said a word to me about what happened..should I be concerned? 

'Ah don't think about that Hima...stay calm..hmm let's just admire Haru!'

I looked over at Haru, he wore a shirt with a jacket over it then some pants, while I wore a black shirt that was tucked in my grey loose pants and a grey cardigan over it to match.

"Sakura-san, are you okay? You keep fidgeting" Nirei asked as he paused in his tracks just to ask Haru, the bandages on his face is distracting me. His top is distracting me- the pattern is so wild(?), fun design I guess. I looked over at Suo to study his fashion, still with that Chinese fashion, suits him very well though. He wore a long Chinese style coat over his top and just some loose pants.

I could hear Haru and Nirei bicker with one another when Suo's eyes met mine- I immediately turned away. 'Did he just catch me staring at him- Plus, why's he looking at me like that? His stares will be the death of me'

"Was Suo with you?"  I looked over at Haru who was still bickering with Nirei. "That doesn't matter right now, let's just go-" Nirei said as he started to push Haruka forward, making him walk. 'What were they talking about- I was too preoccupied to listen earlier-'

"Okay okay! Don't push me!"  'Gosh these two..'

As we walked, I looked around while admiring the streets, the street lights are so pretty as they illuminated the area. 

"Hey Nirei-kun..are we at the right place?" Suo suddenly asked which made me look at him. Nirei was nodding while staring at his screen. "Yeah..it should be around here..."

"But we just entered the Red-Light District though.."  'Huh I've never been here before, it's so lively here-'

"Huuh...uhm..uhmmm..The map said it should be right up there..." Nirei said while panicking, hiding behind Suo as we walked further through the streets. 

Two girls suddenly popped up in front of Haruka and I which startled us, they were wearing maid outfits- "Master~! Would you like to visit us?"

"W-what?! Master?!" We both said at the same time, our cheeks growing red as we looked at them with a surprised and embarrassed expression on our faces. The other girl wrapped their arms around our arms which made us take a step back and yanked our arms away.

"So sorry ladies but they're with me" Suo suddenly butted in, pulling us away from the maid girls. Nirei then stopped us three and pulled us aside before talking, "Let's head back and I'll contact Tsubaki-san and ask for the address again!"

"We came all the way here and now  you wanna go back?? Let's just go and get this over with already!" Haruka argued as he glared at Nirei who looks terrified as hell.

"Seriously Sakura-san please wait and listen first! This shouldn't even be a place where a highschooler can step foot in! We're not even in Furin Turf anymore!" Nirei explained while his hands fidgeted awkwardly, Haru wasn't having it, he's pissed.

Haru was about to argue back but he paused and the last thing I saw was his shocked face and a woman's scream before I fell to the ground because something fell on top of me- I already made clear I hate falling to the ground like this, it hurts like hell ya know? What even hit me to fall on the ground like thi- it's a girl-

'A GIRL?! FELL ON ME FROM THE SKY-'

"Himawari?! Are you okay?" I heard Haru ask as he came into my view. 'NO'

"A-A girl fell from the sky?!" Nirei exclaimed loudly, "Yeah she definitely did..You okay Sakura-chan?" Suo added. 'Yeah no shit guys, I'm alright by the ground like this.'

The girl got up as soon as she realized what happened then looked at me worriedly, pulling my arm up which just made me groan. 'That hurts lady-'

"I'm so sorry, are you okay?" 'No I'm no- Ah I can't say that'

"Yes I'm fine" I said as I stood up with the help of Haru and just smiled at the girl awkwardly but I noticed her dress was all messed up. "I'm so sorry I was in such a rush.." She apologized as she bowed her head a bit.

"I think we should be asking about your well-being, miss" Suo stated as he looked over at the girl's form. "O-oh- right uhmm..I'm bleeding-!" She exclaimed as she studied her body, I wanted to hand her a bandage but I didn't bring my bag with me today-

"Why were you in such a rush? You jumped from such a high place.." Haru asked as he looked at her with wonder but yet his face showed that he was annoyed.

"A-ah right! I'm in a rush- Please excuse me-" The girl bowed as if she was about to run off again-

"Sheeesh...you made us run around just to look for ya. We aren't gonna get anymore money if we just let things drag out any further..What a pain in the ass."

A group of guys suddenly showed up and started to walk closer to us, who are these people..

"Suo-san..they're.." Nirei started but Suo finished his sentence for him, "Yeah..It's pretty obvious..They're after the girl." 

"Huh? Who're these punks? Yer friends?" One of the guys asked as they looked over at us then at the girl, their eyebrows furrowed. 

"No they're no-"

"So what if we are friends? Ya got a problem with us being friends?" Haruka butted in, glaring over at the guy, the girl just looked at him with a surprised expression on her face.

"Learn your place you punk. I would've loved to beat your ass but we don't have time right now. Hand the girl over. If ya don't..." The guy answered while also glaring back at Haru.

"I-I'll go with you! So don't hurt anyone please!" 'Miss as if we'll let you do that'  Suo and Nirei pulled her back, shooking their heads as a "no"

"If ya don't, what huh? What will a bunch of dudes who're chasing a girl to the point of this gonna do to me huh? 

C'mon spit it out."    'Haru looks furious as hell..things are going to get messy..'
