'You've gotten more beautiful.'

"Ugh.. these are heavier than I remembered them to be.." y/n groaned as she pulled her suitcase down from the stairs of the private jet.

"We'll take that for you young miss." A bodyguard said.

Y/n looked up at them.

"Really? Okay. Thanks." Y/n said.

"I can't believe how much over 2 months changed things here." Y/n said looking around.

She felt a wave of cold air hit her.

She cuddled her hands up on her shoulders.

'It's definitely winter..' y/n thought.

Y/n's phone rang.

'𝐄𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚 (엄마) is calling you.' It read.

"Yeah mom?" Y/n said over the phone.

"Did you land yet? How was the flight?" Y/n's mom asked.

"It's fine. It's great to be back home I suppose." Y/n said.

"You realise you were actually away for 3 months right?" Y/n's mom said.

"Wait really?" Y/n said checking the date on her phone.

"9th December?? I left on the 4th of September.." y/n said.

"Yeah I must've made a mistake about the time you spend in America.. sorry. Well anyway, you're back now. Take care Y/n." Her mom said over the phone.

"Yeah." Y/n said.

She hung up the phone.

'It's weird.. it's almost like she cares about me.' Y/n thought.

Y/n changed over those three months. She didn't stay in contact with Jungwon. Jungwon thought she was coming back on the 5th of November, he was wrong.

Y/n's parents replaced y/n's phone for those 3 months since she had a Korean phone number and it would be easier to have an American one.

She finally received her old phone back on the way back to Korea. So she in fact either way couldn't stay in touch with any of her friends.

She did however make some in America. It wasn't as bad as she expected it to be.

Y/n however got into drinking a lot. She got new piercings on her ears. A helix and double lobe on each ears.

Her mid length hair was longer. Her hair was beautifully long and she looked more mature.

Her figure became slimmer and more defined.

"Home sweet home." Y/n spoke to herself as she opened her old apartment with her keycard.

"Mm.. the smell is still here." Y/n said enjoying her apartment smell.

She dropped her luggage by the door and locked it.

She went on the balcony and looked out.

'The sun is rising..' y/n thought.

She checked her phone and the time.

"4.37am.. maybe I should sleep for a couple of hours? But to be fair I did sleep for those 13 hours back.." y/n spoke to herself.

"I'll just go out for a run and then a coffee." Y/n spoke to herself.

Y/n finished her jogging and it was around 6 in the morning. She noticed a lot of coffee shops were closed so she went to a familiar one.

'Isn't this where..?' She thought.

"Can I get an iced coffee with red bean glaze?" Y/n asked the worker while looking up at the menu.

"Sure that will be- Y/N?!" The worker spoke.

Y/n looked up shocked on how they know her name.

"Sunoo.. hey." Y/n said looking at him softly.

"YOU'RE BACK!- wow.. OH MY GOD." Sunoo got excited and ran around the corner.

Sunoo jumped to hug her.

"Sunoo we heard screaming what happened-.." the person paused.

"Holy fuck. I think I'm seeing things.." Heeseung said.

"Wait. WAIT." Heeseung ran up to them two and also engulfed her into a hug.

"NO FUCKING WAY!" Jungwon ran up and did the same.

"G-guys.. I can't- breathe!" Y/n said laughing.

They eventually pulled out.

"H-How- what? When?!" Sunoo spammed questions.

It was only Jungwon who knew about her meaning to come back soon.

"You're finally back.. it was meant to be two months.. not three.." Jungwon said sadly.

"It was meant to be 2 years though?" Heeseung said confused.

Sunoo was also confused.

Both y/n and Jungwon laughed awkwardly.

"Yeah.. about that.. plans came differently and luck did too. I'm back!" Y/n cheered.

"We have to tell the others! And most importantly.. Ni-Ki." Sunoo said.

Y/n turned to them confused.

"Why? What's wrong with him?" Y/n asked confused.

"Well.. you can say he's changed... not in the good way." Jungwon said.

"Oh fuck. What happened after I left?" Y/n asked.

"Let's just say right after you left he uh.. bet up 3 guys.. had 6 different girlfriends and started smoking.." Sunoo said.

Y/n's eyes widened.

"W-What?.. Why would he do that?" Y/n asked.

"Cause he's fucked up mentally. He really cares about you y/n.." Heeseung said softly.

"Ah.. fuck it. I have a confession to make." Y/n said.

The guys turned her attention to her.

"Me and Ni-Ki have known each other for 13 years." Y/n rambled out.

The others just stayed silent.

"We know." Heeseung said.

Y/n looked at them dumbfounded.

"What?" She said confused.

"Uh.. we know.. Ni-Ki kinda told us you and him used to be like CLOSE.." Sunoo announced.

Y/n felt embarrassed.

"I-It's not what you think! We used to be best friends!" Y/n said.

"Yeah? We know.. but not for him apparently." Jungwon teased.

Y/n was so confused right now.

"Wait so-.." y/n tried puzzling things together.

"You know it's better if you go talk to him about it later today. We can't say anything. It's about you and him. Keep us out of your love life." Heeseung cut her off.

The three were snickering.

"Later today?" Y/n asked confused.

"It's the 9th." Jungwon said wiggling his eyebrows.

"It's his birthday.. right." Y/n caught on.

The others oo'd.

"Wait so is Ni-Ki rude to you guys?" Y/n asked.

"Not really. He broke up with his last girlfriend just recently so he's a little moody but other than that he doesn't take out his anger on us." Sunoo said.

"Ah okay.. well tell me the plans." Y/n said.

The group explained the plans for Ni-Ki and his birthday.

"You want me to WHAT?!" Y/n yelled.

"Guys! He's almost here! He sent a pic of him getting out of the gym." Sunghoon said.

"Alright! Y/n go on the rooftop and wait there. Take a hoodie since it's cold." Jay said.

"Already? Okay.. see you guys in a sec. I'll make sure to tell you how he reacts." Y/n smiled.

The sound of the door opening.

"HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY!" They all cheered as Ni-Ki came in through the front door.

"Huh! Oh! Thanks guys." Ni-Ki smiled lightly.

"So.. you can either go sit down and drink some beer. Or, you can do me a favour and go up to the roof and look for your gift with this flashlight." Jake said handing over a flashlight.

"Uhh.. I'm not really one for gifts.." Ni-Ki said awkwardly.

"Just trust me. It's something you'll really like." Jake said.

"Uh.. okay? See you guys in a bit then? I'll let you guys set up the beer and stuff." Ni-Ki said.

The others were grinning from ear to ear.

They all knew that there was something going on between Ni-Ki and Y/n.

The sound of footsteps could be heard.

The dark staircase leading up to the rooftop where you could relax and stargaze on.

Ni-Ki opened the door to get out onto the roof.

'Ugh it's so cold.. what kind of gift am I getting?' Ni-Ki thought.

He looked around a little bit. There were fairy lights that turned on automatically ocassionally and there was some old furniture and unused chairs and stuff that were tossed outside onto the roof in a neat matter though.

He then seen a figure. A black figure of a woman.

'Hm? Who's that?' Ni-Ki thought trying to make out the face.

Just then the automatic fairy lights turned on.

Ni-Ki dropped.

He fell on his knees after seeing who it was.

"No.. It's not real.. my mind is tricking me." Ni-Ki spoke to himself.

"Haha.. I've seriously gone crazy.. what's wrong with me.." Ni-Ki rubbed his head in shock.

"Riki.. I'm real." Y/n said softly.

Her voice was deeper in a way. How come she's matured so much just over 3 months? Maybe it's the drinking. Or maybe it's the need of love and care.

Ni-Ki looked up at her. As soon as they made eye contact tears came rushing to his eyes.

Y/n just stared at him sadly. She missed him so fucking much aswell.

Ni-Ki slowly started to get up. He unsurely made his way towards her. He then poked her to see if he was dreaming.

"Oh my fucking god!-.." Ni-Ki screamed as he felt emotions run through his body.

He jumped at y/n and aggressively engulfed her into a deep hug.

Y/n felt tears in her eyes aswell.

Who knew how much 3 months meant to those two.

"H-How- the guys said you'd back back in 2 years!" Ni-Ki lightly pulled out of the hug whilst still in disbelief.

Y/n smiled softly.

"Things happened Riki! I'm so fucking happy to be back. I missed all of you!" Y/n said.

"I'm.. so.. I'm so fucking glad you're back." Ni-Ki cried out as he pulled her into a hug.

Y/n let him rest his head on her shoulders as he cried while bending down a little to match to her height.

Y/n caressed his back lightly reassuringly.

"Riki.. come on. Let's go sit down for a little and talk and then go back okay?" Y/n suggested.

"Mhm.." Ni-Ki sniffled as y/n took his hand as he rubbed his eyes.

He was like an adult baby.

Both of them sat on the rooftop catching up with each other.

"So you said America was hot? Lucky.. it was pretty cold here for the time you were gone." Ni-Ki said drying his eyes.

"Yeah.. I'm back finally. So now.. it's time to talk about you Riki." Y/n said.

Ni-Ki looked at her in a puzzled way whilst his eyes were glistening from the tears he had in his eyes previously.

"Riki.. the guys told me that you started smoking. Listen, I really don't want to meddle and decide what you do but please for your sake-.." y/n rambled.

"I'll stop." Ni-Ki stated.

"No Riki it's not healthy for you- wait what?" Y/n paused.

Ni-Ki smiled.

He looked at her and both of them locked eyes.

He brought one of his hands up to cup and caress her face.

"I'll stop smoking if that's what you want. I'm so glad you're back Kina." Ni-Ki said.

"Thank you Riki. I also missed you." Y/n said smiling back.

She didn't feel flustered or anything. It was just true happiness.

"I like your undercut by the way. It looks more.. cool?" Y/n said awkwardly as she tried to laugh off the fact her cheeks were heating up.

Ni-Ki smiled.

"You've gotten more beautiful.." Ni-Ki said sweetly.

Y/n's breath hitched and she felt warmth in her heart.

'Ugh.. just as I thought I was over him.' Y/n thought, feeling her heart squeeze.

"By the way.. I have a uh- question." Ni-Ki said.

"Mhm?" Y/n said.

"Do you.. still.. like me?" Ni-Ki asked.

"Haha why would you say that?" Y/n said thinking that he's joking.

"I'm serious." Ni-Ki said looking at her straight in the eyes.

Y/n gulped after their eyes met. His gaze was eating her alive.

"I- I don't know.. It's been a long time Riki.. besides, I already got rejected by you once. That's already enough for me to move on right?" Y/n said as she tried smiling even though her heart felt heavy from thinking about the past.

"Yeah.. I guess you're right." Ni-Ki tried playing it off.

That stabbed him right in the heart.

"Well, I guess we better go back right? It's your birthday after all." Y/n said.

"Mhm we should go back in."Ni-Ki said.

Eventually both of them headed back inside to the rest of the group.

The night was spent with lots of laughter and happiness now that the whole group was United and Ni-Ki was slowly starting to warm up again.

But his heart warmed up for the other guys,

and yet it burned in desperation for y/n.
